Bull, Lelon John

Plainview Physician for 13 Years Dr. Lelon Bull Dies Dr. Lelon John Bull, age 84, who retired in 1983 from a 13-year medical practice in Plainview, died last Wednesday, May 24, 1995 at his home in Yucaipa, California. His wife Lois was at his side at his death. Dr. Bull and Mrs. Bull, who was a nurse, had been in medical practice at the time of their retirement for 29 years. Before coming to Plainview he worked at Tempe, Arizona. Dr. Bull was born on July 27, 1910, in Aplin, Arkansas, the fifth of nine children of John Foster and Maggie Nola Bull. He graduated from Madison Academy, Tennessee, and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Vanderbilt University and his Medical Degree from the University of Arkansas in 1953.

He met Lois McCurry in 1928, and they were married in Perry, Arkansas, on December 19, 1934. The Bulls had four daughters, Betty J. Cooper, Peggy M. Browne, and Marie M. Larsen, all of California, and Carol Ann Driver of Arizona. Dr. Bull practiced Medicine in Tempe, Arizona, for 18 years, where he was on the Board of the Tempe Elementary School. Bull, Raymond

Raymond Bull, age 77 of Amarillo, died July 1, 2006. He was born in Belleville on September 22, 1928 to the late Alfred and Maudie Black Bull. He was retired from the State of Arkansas Payroll and Distribution Department. He was the lead singer of "The Believers" Gospel Group in Booneville, a member of Singing Men of Texas. He was a fifty year mason, became an ordained minister in 2002, a member of South Georgia Baptist Church in Amarillo, and active in the Prison Ministry in Arkansas as well as Amarillo.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Bull; children, Ramona Jean Thompson, Michael David Bull and wife Tammy of North Little Rock; step-daughters Debbie Gillespie, Sharon McLaughlin, and Betty Collins; sister, Ruby Dugger; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; and 10 step great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at South Georgia Baptist Church in Amarillo. Masonic graveside services were held on Friday, at Russell Cemetery in Belleville. WISTER - Delta Faye Bullard, 69, of Wister died Wednesday, November 5, 2014, in Little Rock. She was born January 2, 1945, in Prague, Okla. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Bethel Baptist Church in Wister with interment at Hicks Chapel Cemetery in Fanshawe, Okla., under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home in Pocola.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; three sons, Alan Bullard of Virginia Beach, Va., Danny Bullard of Red Oak, Okla., and Buddy Bullard of Wister; a daughter, Nina Farrar of Cameron; three sisters, Donna Herrington of Seattle and Pam Jones and Mary Abbott, both of Moore, Okla.; two brothers, Jimmy Kelly of Blanchard, Okla., and Gary Kelly of Fort Smith; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. DARDANELLE - Jay Bullard, age 60, of Tulsa, Okla. a former resident of Dardanelle, died Monday, December 2, 1985. He was a retired engineer working for McDonald-Douglas Aircraft Corp. for 30 years and Rockwell International for two years.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Ann Bullard; two sons, Jeffrey J. Bullard of Tulsa and Gregory Scott Bullard of Norman, Okla.; a daughter, Janan Hill of Tulsa, and four sisters, Mrs. Edith Kee of Dardanelle, Mrs. Nina Stancikas of Russellville, Mrs. Oneida Robertson of Cicero, Ill. and Mrs. Frances Callahan of Centerville.

Funeral will be at 11 a. m. Wednesday at Moore's Eastlawn Chapel at Tulsa. A graveside service will be at 2 p. m. Thursday at Brearley Cemetery. Burial will be by Corn well Funeral Service. Bullock, Anna Keeton Howell

Anna Keeton Howell Bullock, age 95, of Dardanelle died Thursday, December 5, 2002 at a St. Edwards Hospital in Ft. Smith. She was born May 6, 1907 in Dardanelle, Arkansas; she was the daughter of the late William and Virginia Love Howell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Bullock, Sr. She was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church, a member of the United Methodist Women, a lifetime member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and a member of the Colonial Dames.

Survivors include two sons, Dr. Thomas L. Bullock, Jr. of Little Rock, and Judge William R. Bullock, Sr. and wife, Barbara of Dardanelle; a daughter, Mary Gale Barnes and husband, Dr. James Robert Barnes of Houston, Texas; two grandsons, William R. Bullock, Jr. and Tom Ed Bullock of Dardanelle; two granddaughters, Jessica Love Barnes of Houston and Bunny Bullock of Dardanelle; two great-granddaughters, Teddie Bullock and Jodie Bullock; and a great-grandson, Garrett Bullock.

Funeral Services were Sunday, December 8, 2002 at Cornwell Chapel with the Rev. Benny Harmon and Rev. Floyd Ervin officiating. Bullock, Thomas Edward

(1963-2012) Thomas Edward Bullock, age 48, of Russellville, died Monday, June 11, 2012. He was born November 24, 1963, at Russellville, to William Robert and Barbara Bullock. Tom Ed graduated from Dardanelle High School in 1980 and then obtained his Bachelor of Science in Aviation in 1993 from Warrensburg University. He was employed by River Town Bank for 20 years and served as Senior Vice President and Chief Lending Officer. Tom Ed also served on the Board of Directors for River Town Bank. He was a lifelong member of Yell County Wild Life Federation and served on the board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Central Arkansas and was also a member of the New Life Church of Conway.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Bullock Jr.; paternal grandparents, Thomas L. Sr. and Anna Bullock; and maternal grandparents, Edward "Cap" and Evelyn Gertrude Faulkinbury.

November 29, 1932 -- December 17, 2006 -- BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Bonnie Sue Bunting, age 74, of Birmingham, Ala. formerly of Dumas, Ark. died Sunday at Riverchase Hospice at Birmingham. She was born November 29, 1932, in Yell County, Ark. a daughter of the late Edwin Gately and Johnnie Jewel McTigrit.

Survivors include one son, Clarence Michael Blagg of Birmingham; five daughters, Barbara B. McCraw of Glen Allan, Miss. Karen B. Williams of Wilmot, Ark. Kathy Parantha and Christy Bunting, both of Sebring, Fla. and Kay B. Bushman of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; one sister, Mary Ann Jones of Dumas; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Bunting; one son, Jerry Booth Blagg; four brothers; and one grandchild.

James Monroe Bunton, age 64, a resident of Little Rock, AR died Saturday, January 3, 1998 at V. A. Regional Medical Center at Little Rock, AR. He was born on March 23, 1933 at Pope Co. AR to Marion and Katie Peters Bunton. He married Mary Hughes on May 5, 1955 at Pope County, AR. He was a construction worker with Matson Construction and an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was an Assembly of God.

Surviving is his wife, Mary Alice Hughes Bunton of Little Rock, AR; a brother, Robert Woodroe Bunton of Russellville, AR; two sisters Lorene Hood of Centerville, AR and Aline Thompson of Russellville, AR; an uncle, Clyde Bunton of Russellville, AR; numerous nieces and nephews.

Burcham, Charles Alford Jefferson

Charles Alford Jefferson Burcham, 67, died suddenly of a heart attack at his home in Havana, January 28, 1956. He was born at Hector.

James R. Burcham, aged 92 years and 8 months, born in Missouri, from where he moved to Arkansas and become a minister of the Church of Christ, died Sunday a.m. at the home of his son, Charlie Burchman, north of Havana.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Melissa Lee, Havana, sons, Jason Burcham, Quentin, Texas, John, Little Rock, Fred, Sand Springs, Ok., and Charlie, Havana, and many grand and great-grandchildren.

William Alfred (Shorty) Burcham of Sand Springs, OK, formerly of Havana, died at Muskogee, OK on October 1, 1986. He was a member of the Broadway Baptist Church in Sand Springs, OK, a retired Cotton Mill worker and carpenter.

Survivors include his wife, Loeva Moore Burcham of the home, one son, Alfred Lee Burcham of Oregon, one daughter, Shirley Lee of Sand Springs, OK; one sister, Bessie Duvall of Sand Springs, two brothers, George Burcham of Florida and Luther Burcham of Sand Springs, one half brother, Everett Burcham of Sand Springs; two half sisters, Rayvella Bass of Tulsa, OK and Mary Trausdale of Oklahoma City, OK and two grandchildren.

Burchard, Bryan Charles

Bryan Charles Burchard, age 64, of Delaware died Sunday at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. He was born October 5, 1937 in Rochester, New York. He was the son of the late Robert and Gladys Burse Burchard. He was a Navy veteran, a health physicist for Arkansas Nuclear One, and a Jehovah's Witness.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Stephen Burchard, and a brother, Larry Burchard.

Survivors include his wife, Melody Myrle Burchard; his children, Christopher Burchard, Brad Burchard, Larry Travis Broughton, Beverly Burchard, Barbara Burchard, and Lorena Turney; 10 grandchildren, including Gage and Cheyenne; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, John Elaine Burchard, and Robin "Bitzy" Burchard and Willie Burchard.

George, Charlene (Darrell) Rainey of Casa and many other relatives and friends. Danny was retired from Deltic Timber after 28 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved the outdoors, playing dominoes and spending time with his wife and family.

Rachel Burfield, age 84, of Ola, AR died Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. She was born December 4, 1921 in Danville, AR to Albert and Dora Ann Pledger Noblett. She was a cook at the Ola Nursing Home and Mimas Cafe.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Edward Fay Rose and Ralph Burfield; brothers, Tommy, Jake, Frank, Earl Cecil, Odell, Harold Noblett and James Rose and sisters, Sylvia Emery and Delia Ward.

Survivors include, sons, Charles Rose of Centerville, AR, Larry Rose of Birta, AR, Carroll Rose, Jimmy Rose, Danny Burfield and Randy Burfield all of Ola, AR; daughters, Charlene Rainey of Casa, AR, Brenda Treadwell of Ola, AR and Debbie Holt of Centerville, AR; 22 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, several great-great- grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Morse, Mamie Roger both of Belleville and Josie Ross of Plainview, AR.

Burford, Margaret Ann Apple

Margaret Ann Apple Burford, our best friend, biggest supporter and beloved mother and meme went to be with the Lord May 4, 2008 at Baptist Health Center in Little ROCK. Born August 21, 1931 to Harrison and Sadie Apple, she was a loving mother and meme who loved her family and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with them, She was a member of the Liberty Hall Methodist Church and a retired Telephone Operator.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 25 years, Paul Thomas Burford.

Survivors include a son, Steve Burford and his wife, Teresa of Russellville; daughters, Paulette Burford of Missouri, Dawn Haney of Pottsville and Misty Burford of Russellville; four grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Ramona Apple of Dardanelle; special family friends and caregivers, Lucina Saldana of Russellville, Glen Haney of Dardanelle; special thanks to the Dardanelle Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the years of wonderful care provided to our mother.

Funeral services were held May 8, 2008 at Cornwell Chapel, Dardanelle with Rev. Ronnie Morris officiating. Burial was held in Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle. Pallbearers were Tyler Haney, Glen Allen Haney, Ken Smith, David Holliman, and Michael Norris. Honorary Pallbearers were staff of Dardanelle Nursing Center. She will be greatly missed by her family and always remain in our thoughts until we meet again.
