Briley, Juanita D. (Green)

Juanita D Briley, age 83, of Plainview, passed away March 31, 2017, at her home. She was born December 12, 1933, in Plainview, Arkansas to the late Clifton and Dollie Light Green. She was a homemaker and mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Murl Briley; infant sister; sister, Johnnie Hunnicutt; brother, Elam Green; grandson, Alex Rose; and son-in-law, Floyd Noblett.

Survivors include her children, Naomi Noblett of Plainview; January and Hank Herr of Plainview; Sherry and Billy Smith of Russellville; Pam and Steve Smith of Plainview; Mike and Pat Briley of Plainview; Vicki and Ernie Buckman of Russellville; Sonja Riddle of Plainview; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Ellis officiating. Brimer, Robert "R. L." Lawrence

Robert "R. L." Lawrence Brimer, age 72, a resident of Russellville, AR died Thursday, December 10, 1998 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center at Russellville, AR. He was born on February 8, 1926 at Belcher, AR to Benjamin and Ruth Hutchins Brimer. He married Joyce Hodges on December 31, 1949 at Des Arc, AR. He was retired with Van Horn Construction. He was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Benjamin H. Brimer, Issac E. Brimer, Larry Brimer and Clarence Brimer and two sisters, Rosie Hollaway and Flora Spurlock.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Beatrice Brimer of Russellville; two daughters, Sheila Kay Brimer of Conway, Ar and Sharon Gay Brimer of Dardanelle, AR; three brothers, Glenn Brimer of McRay, Ar, Oneal Brimer of Beebe, AR and Johnny Brimer of Searcy, AR; two sisters, Ieona McGuire of Malvern, Ar and Flossie Cato of Conway, AR; also numerous nieces and nephews.

Brimm, Eldon Ray

Eldon Ray Brimm, age 62 of Ola, died Friday, August 20, 2010 in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born October 28, 1947 in Prague, OK to the late Joseph Franklin and Opal Emily Gunter Brimm. He was a retired farmer.

He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Lola Sue Scott Brimm; a daughter, Natalie Renae Brimm; brothers, Chubb Brimm and Venus Brimm.

Survivors include his wife Vicki Sue Brimm; two sons, Nation Brimm and wife Heather of Hector, Virgil Gist of Wylie, TX; a daughter, Natasha Mantooth and husband, Stephen of Plainview; two step-daughters, Angela Butler of Topeta, KS, Karen Burfield and husband, Louis of Davenport, IA; four sisters, Sissy Nichols and Janet Garner of Ola, Deanie Johnson of Pontoon, Sue Rogers of Dardanelle; and twelve grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Graveside services were Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Bryants Cove Cemetery, Casa with Rev. Josh Crites officiating. Music was by Tracey Gilkey, Nation Brimm and Rocky Don Jones. Pallbearers were Greg McKinney, Ian McKinney, John Smith, Thomas Farrow, Chris Wilson and Chris Campbell. Brimm, Joe F.

Joe F. Brimm, age 81, of Centerville died Monday, December 29, 1980 at Dardanelle Hospital. He was a retired farmer, a native of Mountain Home, son of the late Bill and Martha Eddie Brimm and attended the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Opal Gunter Brimm; two sons, V. C. "Chub" Brimm of Shawnee, Okla. and Eldon Brimm of Ola; four daughters, Mrs. Marcella Nichols of Ola, Mrs. Carol Dean Johnson of Bryants Cove, Mrs. Sue Rogers of Dardanelle and Mrs. Janet Garner of Centerville; a sister, Mrs. Dixie Brixey of James, La.; 19 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral will be at 1 p. m. Wednesday at the Centerville Assembly of God Church by the Rev. C. R. Young. Burial will be in Bryants Cove Cemetery by Humphrey Funeral Service. Brimm, Sue

Sue Brimm, age 47, of Ola, AR. died Wednesday, March 17, 1999 at Baptist Health in Little Rock, AR. She was born December 21, 1951 in Morrilton, AR. She was retired as a bookkeeper with the Perry-Casa School District, a graduate of Ola High School, Capitol City Business College and a junior at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ola.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Natalie Renae Brimm and a sister, Sheila Scott.

Survivors are her husband, Eldon Brimm; two sons and daughter-in-law, Nation and Heather Brimm of Ola and Orville Gist of Dallas, TX; a daughter, Natasha Brimm of Ola; her father, Verlon Scott of Ola; her mother and step-father, Lavada and Darrell Purser of Ola; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Dwight Robertson of Casa and two grandchildren, Garot Brimm and Samantha Brimm both of Ola.

Services were Friday at the Welcome Home Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Cleo Young officiating. Interment was in Bryant's Cove Cemetery in Casa by Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville, AR. Brimm, Velorin "Chub"

Velorin "Chub" Brimm, age 66, of Shawnee, OK, died Wednesday, August 27, 1997 at an Oklahoma City Hospital. He was born June 1, 1931 in Praque, OK to Joseph F. and Opal Emily (Gunter) Brimm. He was employed for 26 years for the City of Shawnee in the Water Department where he was a supervisor. He was married to Mary Lewis on November 29, 1977 in Shawnee, OK and served in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion and the 40 & 8. He came to Shawnee in 1958 and had lived here since that time.

He is survived by his wife, Mary of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Edwin Lee and April Brimm and Billy Joe and Vickie Brimm all of Shawnee, OK; a daughter and son-in-law, Connie Elizabeth and Tom Childress of Galey, OK; seven grandchildren; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Marcella and Buddy Nichols of Ola, AR, Dean and Charlie Johnson of Bryant Cove, AR, Sue and Ike Rogers of Dardanelle, AR and Janet Garner of Ola, AR; brother and sister-in-law, Eldon and Sue Brimm of Ola, AR; sister-in-law, Annie Brimm of Gore, OK; a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Venus Brimm.

Brinkley, Gladys Luetta Cowell

Gladys Luetta Cowell Brinkley, 89, of Crystal City, Mo. formerly of Malden, Mo. died Wednesday, February 18, 2009, at Crystal Oakes Nursing Home in Crystal City. Born May 6, 1919, in Yell County, Ark. daughter of the late Sam and Lela Gilkey Cowell, she was employed at Gideon-Anderson Box Plant in Gideon, Mo. and Service Paper Box Co. in St. Louis, Mo. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Malden and then Victory Tabernacle in Festus, Mo. On December 2, 1937, she married George Napier, who died September 19, 1993. She married James Wilbert Brinkley on September 16, 1989.

He preceded her in death on June 28, 1997. She was also preceded in death by three daughters, Alice Faye Lewis, and Lela Mae and Dorothy Jean Napier; three brothers, Jim, Charlie and Riley Cowell; one sister, Ida Alexander; one half-sister, Sina Kimbrigh and one grandchild, Ricky Ackridge.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Fisher and husband, Eddie, of Pevely, Mo. Shirley Kern and husband, Robert, of Crystal City, and Elane Napier, of DeSoto, Mo. one son, Dan Napier and wife, Linda, of Defiance, Mo. two sisters, Nellie Henson, of Memphis, Tenn. and Cora Gregory and husband, Johnny, of Malden; three brothers, Frank Cowell and wife, Vernetta, of Mammoth Springs, Ark. Tommy Cowell and wife, Sharon, of Swartz Creek, Mich. and Sam Cowell and wife, Sandy, of Waterford, Mich. one half-sister, Walcy Freeman, of Washington, D. C. 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 6 p. m. today, Friday, February 20, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services will be held at 11 a. m. James Ray Brinkman, age 62 of Rover, died Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. He was born July17, 1946 in Bryan, Texas to Herbert Henry & Gladys Nelson Brinkman. He was an Air Force Veteran, an engineer for Arkwest Communications & Mitchell Engineering Communications, a member of Grace Chapel Church of the Nazarene.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Brinkman, brother, Franklin Brinkman, infant brother, Herbert Edward Brinkman, son, James Edward Brinkman, and step-daughter, Heather Lynn Hunt.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Brinkman; mother, Gladys Brinkman of Caldwell, TX; son, John David Brinkman and fiance, Hope Stegall of Plainview; step-daughter, Dee Ann Cozart of Rover; step-grandchildren, Charles Alex Hunt of Hanes City, FL and Lealah Cozart of Rover; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Sherry Brinkman of Bryan, Texas, David and Stacey Brinkman of Granbury, TX; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Milton Skrabanek of Caldwell, TX, Debbie and John Wayne Schulz of Caldwell, TX; sister-in-law, Darelen Brinkman of Caldwell, TX, and a host of nieces, nephews, beloved relatives and friends.

Brinkmeyer, Imogene Buckman

Imogene Buckman Brinkmeyer was born in Havana on August 24, 1918 to James Ezra and Ocie Gray Buckman. She died in San Jacinto, California on December 3, 2007 at the age of 89. She was the second of nine children. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith (Brick) Brinkmeyer; her parents, James Ezra and Ocie Gray Buckman; four brothers, Arnold who was killed in World War II, Raymond, N. J. Jack, and one sister Lalle Dahlstrom.

She is survived by her daughter Cathy; two grandchildren, Carrie and Albert, Anthony and Wednesday and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, James; and two sisters, Billie Lassiter and Betty Blaylock. She will be greatly missed.

Jessie M. Briscoe, age 85, of Lincoln, NE, died peacefully, January 11, 2003 with family at her side. She was born December 8, 1917 in Plainview, AR to the late James & Laura (Eubanks) Ladd. She was a teacher at Plainview and recreational therapist at Lincoln Regional Center. She was a member of the Russellville Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Survivors are her husband, Samuel L. Briscoe, Sr. of Lincoln, NE; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary & Marlin Belew of Valparaiso, NE and Marie & E. J. Tharpe of Jackson, MS; a son and daughter-in-law, Samuel L. Jr. and Jan Briscoe of Lincoln, NE; nine grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; three sisters, Pauline Dawson and Bonnie Storment both of Plainview, AR and Gola Eaton of Ootewah, TN; a brother James Ladd of Tennessee and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a brother.

Samuel L. Briscoe, age 91, of Lincoln, died Sunday, March 14, 2004. He was born in Barber, Arkansas on October 25, 1912 to Samuel M. & Delia Taylor Briscoe. He was a member of College View Seventh Day Adventist Church, Society of the Remagen Bridge and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a WWII Army 1st Sergeant of the Armored Division and a member of the National Guard in Dardanelle, AR.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie; 2 brothers, 2 sisters and both parents.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary & Marlin Belew of Valparaiso and Arthie Marie & E. J. Tharpe of Pearl, MS; one son, Sam Briscoe, Jr. of Lincoln; 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.

Services were heId at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Scranton, Arkansas with the Rev. Franklin Piercey and Rev. Donald Irwin officiating. Interment will be in Elizabeth Hall Cemetery at New Blaine. Visitation was Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Cornwell Funeral Chapel, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Ina Broadstock, age 88 of Danville, died Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at Chambers Memorial Hospital. She was born February 20, 1917 at Danville to the late Sanford and Lillian Carrouth Hunt.

Jerry P. Broadstock age 93 of Danville died Friday, April 4, 2003 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was born January 8, 1910 in Belleville to the late Dora E. and Iva Christman Broadstock. He was a WWII Air Force veteran, member of the First Baptist Church and retired after 35 years as a nurse assistant with the Veteran Hospital in North Little Rock.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Frank, Tommy, Burkley and Arthur Broadstock.

Survivors are his wife of 64 years, Ina Broadstock; one sister, Billie Boatwright of California and several nephews, nieces and friends.

Services were held Sunday, April 6, 2003, at 2:00 PM at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Rev. Earl Stapleton officiating. Broberg, Aubrey Leigh (McMinn)

Aubrey Leigh Broberg, 85, of Dardanelle died Thursday, December 15, 2011, at her home. Born September 25, 1926, in Dardanelle, she was the daughter of the late Auburn and Allie Apple McMinn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald Broberg; a daughter, Catherine Lewis; and a sister, Joann Ellis. After graduating from Dardanelle High School, Leigh attended nursing school in Russellville and Hot Springs and worked as a pediatric nurse for many years. She lived in California and Hawaii before returning to Dardanelle. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Dardanelle and loved playing cards with her friends at the Dardanelle Senior Activity Center.

Survivors include her son-in-law, Michael Lewis and wife Diana of Dardanelle; two grandsons, Steven Lewis and wife Laura of Little Rock and Michael Lewis and partner Howard Homer of Albuquerque, N.M.; two great-granddaughters, Samantha Lewis and Margaret Lewis, both of Little Rock; and many nieces, nephews and other friends.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Louvenia Cemetery in Dardanelle with Pastor Jim Benfer officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Aaron Chandler Brock, 22, a resident of Dardanelle, died Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at Russellville. He was born December 4, 1993, at Russellville the son of Kimberly R. Brock. He attended Dardanelle Schools, enjoyed working on cars, was a very talented artist and enjoyed tattoo art.

He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Shirley Vivyan and his great-grandparents, James and Flora Brock and Wanda Apple.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Kim and Nick Costantino of Russellville; his maternal grandparents, James and Ellen Brock of Dardanelle; grandfather, Dennis Vivyan of Dardanelle; an aunt, Margie Brock Mars of Dardanelle; two uncles, David and Bonnie Brock of Dardanelle and Gary and Tammy Brock of Pottsville; numerous cousins, including, Nikki and Amber Rogers of Dardanelle and Caitlin Mars of Russellville.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, September 26, 2016, at Humphrey Chapel with the Bro. Charles Lewis officiating. Eliza Brock, age 76, of Belleville, AR died Sunday, March 5, 2000 at the Dardanelle Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Addie Earl and Viola Harvey Taylor; she was born May 13, 1923 at London, AR. She was the widow of Gene Marshall Brock, and was a longtime resident of Belleville, AR. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by, two brothers, Ira "Bus" Taylor and Joe Taylor both former residents of Dardanelle, AR.

She is survived by, a daughter, Evelyn Ruth Lee of Belleville, AR; a brother, Allen Taylor of Little Rock, AR; four sisters, Goldie Cole and Mary Ayers both of Dinabu, CA, Sue Cudia of Reno, NV and Frances Wade of Weeping Water, NE; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces.

H. Miles, Jr. both of Rolling Fork, MS and Paul Miles, Sr. of Pearl, MS; four sisters, Mary Winslow and Adel Boykin both of Rolling Fork, MS, Melvine Kirkley of Chicago, IL and Earline Dennis of Delta, LA; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his mother, Lellie McAnally of Arbuckle; three sisters, Donna Goodman and Rebecca Morin born of Arbuckle and Audrey Warner of Mariposa, CA; a half sister, Patti Condley of Hector, AR; half brother, Jack Brock of Texas; two brothers, Richard Brock" and Ron McAnally of Modesto, CA and a step brother, David Moore of Arbuckle. He is also survived by; an Aunt Mary Strode of Belleville, AR and aunts, Ercie Lytal and Reba Leverett and uncles Don Rutledge and Leon Madden all of Arbuckle and 16 nephews and nieces and his special Ray P. and lots of cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack A. Brock of Arkansas and his step-father, Leroy McAnally; a brother, Roger; his grandmother, Dottie Rutledge and grandfather, Amos Rutledge in Arkansas. LILBOURN - Syble Irene Brock, 85, died Nov. 14, 2005, at her home in Lilbourn. Born May 15, 1920, in Yell County, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Ervin and Barbara Millard. On Oct.

8, 1938, in New Madrid, she married James Elton Brock who preceded her in death in 1984. Three brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: three sons, James Brock of Branson, Sammy Brock of St. Louis and Roger Dale Brock of Slidell, La.; three daughters, Mary E. Abbott and Martha Marshall of Lilbourn and Phylis Brock Drumheller of Cedar Crest, N.M.; two brothers, Robert Leon Millard and Boone Millard of Arkansas; three sisters, Grathaline Starwalt of Poplar Bluff, Arlene Wilkins of Texas and Morcene Anderson of Michigan; and 18 grandchildren, 19 great- grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
