David Ray Cline, age 33, of Dardanelle died Saturday, March 23, 2002. Mr. Cline was born October 30, 1968 in Danville. He was a mechanic and a roofer.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Carl Cline.
Survivors include his fianc e, Diane Rhoads of Dardanelle; one son, Johnny Cline of Dardanelle; three daughters, Kayla, Megan and Cassandra Cline, all of Dardanelle; his mother and stepfather, Yvonne and Junior Haney of Dardanelle; grandmother, Myrtle Chambers of Dardanelle; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeff and Heather Wise of Dover, Michael and Melinda Wilson of West Helena; three sisters and fianc e, Patricia Curtis of Conway, Cindy Woodall of Gentry, Barbara Montgomery and Steve Woodall of Dardanelle and many nephews and nieces.

Edward Cline, age 84, a retired farmer of Rover, died May 18, 1958 at his home. He was a Baptist and a native of Jefferson City.
He is survived by three sons, Arthur and Ralph Cline of Farmersville, Calif, and James Cline of Rover; two daughters, Mrs. Edith Marshall of Rover, and Minnie Wahla of Pollock Pines, Calif; a brother, Walter Cline of Plainview and a step brother, Charlie Cline of Oklahoma.

Helen Cline, age 85, a resident of Belleville, AR died Saturday, September 18, 2004 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. She was born February 16, 1919 at Belleville, AR to the late Hugh M. and Lula Bell Ingram York. She was a former employee of Arkansas Valley Industries (AVI) and a member of the Upper Spring Creek Free Will Baptist Church at Belleville. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading and canning. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John E. cline; a son, Jimmy Cline; a daughter, Eula Mae Fowler; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Boyd and Alta Cline of Belleville, Bobby Cline of Dardanelle and Johnny and Shirley Cline of Russellville, AR; two daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine Ed Schmitz of San Manuel, AZ and Jeanette and James Black of Danville, AR; two brothers, James York of Belleville and Joe York of Danville; three sisters, Willa Farrow and Rebecca Duncan of Belleville and Ann Budlong of Plainview, AR; 22 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Funeral was September 21, 2004 at the Upper Spring Creek Free Will Baptist Church at Belleville officiated by Rev. Earl Stapleton. Mrs. Helen E. Foster Cline, age 71 of Dardanelle, AR died Thursday, June 26, 1997 at the Dardanelle Hospital. She was born April 5, 1926 in Paris, AR to the late Tom and Maggie Jenkins Marple. She was a member of the Church of Christ, a homemaker and mother, life member of the DAV Women's Auxiliary Post Simpson Post Chapter 27.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Foster, step-son, John Cline, step-daughter, Freida Kendrick.
Survivors: husband, Lloyd Cline; three sons, Lonnie Foster, Larry Foster and Don Ford all of Dardanelle; three daughters, Salley Dale of DeQueen, AR, Verla Moyer of Mountainberg, AR and Lawana David of Norman, OK; a step-son, David Cline of Houston, TX; a stepdaughter, Debra Boydston of Houston, TX; two sisters, Ruby Stone of Dardanelle, AR and Mary Cross of Siloam Springs, AR; 26 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Service was June 30, 1997 at the Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with the Rev. Chenowith officiating. Interment was in the Pisgah Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Service of Dardanelle. Inez E. Cline, age 75, of Hot Springs, AR died Sunday, May 2, 1999. She was the daughter of Sadie Byers of Dardanelle, AR. She was born December 1, 1923 at Possum Kingdom, a daughter of the late Floyd Halsell; she was a charter member of the Hot Springs Historical Society having served as a vice president and president of the organization. She was editor and coeditor of the Historical Society's annual publication from 1963-87. She was a newspaper columnist and radio talk show host. She received the Inez E. Cline Award from the Garland County Historical Preservation Coalition.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Cline. Other survivors include a son and his wife, Billy Garland and Betty Cline of Hot Springs; a daughter and her husband, Nancy Kay and Glen Minton of Story; a sister and her husband, Jolene and Dr. James L. Maupin of Dardanelle, AR; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

James William Cline, age 68, of Farmersville, CA, a native of Yell County, died Thursday, September 2, 1982 in the Valley Medical Center in Fresno, CA. He was a retired ranchman.
Survivors include one sister, Minnie Whala of Modesto, CA and one brother, Ralph Cline of Wichita, Kansas and several nieces and nephews.

Margaret Ruth Cline, age 57, of Dardanelle, died Friday, January 31, 2003 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born in Kansas City, Kansas, Daughter of the late Lewis Mars Widener. She was a retired supervisor, with ConAgra Frozen Foods in Russellville. She has also worked for many years at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville. She was a member of the Mammoth Missionary Baptist Church in Mammoth, Arizona.
Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Bobby Gene Cline; her Mother, Florence Ruth Merritt Widener of Dardanelle; her Children, Jean Wagner of Dardanelle, Dottie Fowler of Danville, Dennis Mackay of Dodge City, Kansas, Michael Mackay of Dallas, Texas, Robby Cline of Oklahoma, Jay Hiatt, of Dardanelle and Colby Hiatt of Dardanelle; her brothers Bob Widener of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Mike Widener of Cairo, Egypt. Funeral services for Mrs. Delphia Cloninger were held at the Havana Church of Christ on Friday, January 31, at 2:30 p. m. with Elder Lucian Farrar, of Russellville and Jule Miller of Searcy, officiating. Mr. Miller a grandson of Mrs. Cloninger by marriage.
Mrs. Cloninger had been ill at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ardelle Allen Gray, for several months. The family moved from Danville to Russellville last July. In addition to Mrs. Gray, she is survived by three other daughters, Mrs. Mildred Heihn of Little Rock, Mrs. Vivian Morgan of Norfolk, Va. and Mrs. Bonnie Faulk of Kenset, one son, Robert Allen of Oklahoma City, Okla.; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. M. Winfred Lee Clowers, age 65, of Mabelvale, died Friday, October 17, 2008 at St. Vincent Medical Center. He was born February 25, 1943 at Dardanelle to the late Archie L. and Velma L. McGee Clowers.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, AV Clowers.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Sherry Harrison Clowers of Mabelvale; son and daughter-in-law, Gary Lee and Jennifer Clowers of Little Rock; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila Ann and Keith Bowman of Ladson, S. Funeral services for Mrs. H. C. Clubb Arkansas Fleming Clubb, age 79, who died at 8 a. m. yesterday (25 July 1943) at the home of her daughter Mrs. Ruth Swilling, 1910 W. 8th, were conducted from the Ruebel Funeral Home this afternoon by the Rev. M. L. Moser.
Burial was in Pinecrest Memorial Park with W. R. Wilburn, E. Webb, Glen Motley, Dave Kennemer, Roy Ragsdale and Sam Agee as pallbearers. Mrs. Clubb had resided in Little Rock for 30 years and was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church.

Nossie Mae McKnight Clubb, age 92, of Russellville, AR, died Saturday, December 27, 2003 at the Russellville Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born June 13, 1911 in Bea Branch, AR to the late Robert and Evie Ward Fullerton. She was a homemaker and mother.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Luke McKnight and Cecil Clubb and a sister, Mavis McKim.

William Arthur (Ott) Clubb, aged 80, of 37 Sunnydale Drive (Little Rock, AR), a retired automobile salesman, died Monday (Feb 16, 1970). A native of Knoxville, Johnson County, he was the son of the late Harlow C. Clubb and Cannie (Arkansas) Fleming Clubb. He had worked with Sadler-Ross Motor Company and Jennings Motor Company until his retirement in 1960. He was a Baptist. He had lived in Little Rock for more than 50 years.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Richard Gill of Memphis; two brothers, Rev. Russell J. Clubb of Memphis, and J. Frank Clubb of Little Rock; three sisters, Mrs. Maude Powell, Mrs. Ruth Swilling and Miss Naomi Clubb of Little Rock; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Cly Cluck, age 82, of Van Buren, AR. died Friday, March 5, 1999 at a local hospital. He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Ft. Smith was a retired conductor for the Missouri-Pacific Railroad and past chairman of the Union-Pacific local 507. He also was a past deacon of the First Free Will Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kate (Woods) Cluck and a son, Harold Cluck.
He is survived by one son, Ed Cluck of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; two sisters, Wilma Styron of Ft. Smith, AR. and Jessie Parker of Reno, NV; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was the widow of the late Howell C. Cobb and preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Dr. Thomas D. Robinson of Atkins.

Eula Maye Watkins Cobb, age 96, of Danville, AR died Tuesday, December 28, 1999 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. She was the widow of Forrest Vanon Cobb. She was born on November 30, 1903 in Belleville, AR, daughter of the late Julian Ernest and Sarah Fannie Fowler Watkins. She graduated from Belleville High School, taught school at the Corinth Community School and became a registered nurse at the Okmulgee City Hospital School of Nursing doing her post graduate work at the Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. She served as director of Nursing at the Okmulgee City Hospital School of Nursing, she received her public health certificate from George Peabody college in Nashville, TN, which started a 29 year career as a public health nurse serving in Okmulgee and Stillwater, OK before coming to Yell County in 1944, she retired as the Yell County Health Nurse in 1966 then continued to work as a nurse for the Yell County Hospital now Chambers Memorial Hospital for many years after her retirement. She was a member of the Danville First Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by, five brothers, Ernest, Wendel, Opal, Arthur and Henry Watkins and by three sisters, Ouida Hull Mayfield, Naomi Williams and Wana Morgan.
Survivors include, her step daughter and son-in-law, Allie Jean and Linton Moudy of Danville, AR; a sister, Ruth Watkins Holcomb of Broken Arrow, OK; a grandson and his wife, Dr. Forrest L. and Sandra Moudy of Danville; three great-grandchildren, Ross J. Moudy, Susan L. Moudy and Marcus Cobb Moudy all of Danville and by several nephews and nieces.

Gene Lee Cobb, age 72, of California died October 2, 2001, at St. Mary Medical Center. The memorial service was held Friday at 10:00 a. m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Steven E. Woolley and Ernest F. Campbell officiating. Burial was in private. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church or Walla Walla Community Hospice through Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder St.
Mr. Cobb was born August 23, 1929, in Belleville, AR, to Eugene Jordan and Hazel Lee Harrod Cobb. When he was 8 his mother died. His father married Lucille Cobb. He graduated in 1947 from Ola Arkansas High School, and then served in the U. S. Navy from 1947-1956. He served at Balboa Navy Hospital, Camp Pendleton, Calif. and was a Navy medic with Charlie Co. 1st platoon, 5th Marine Division, in Korea for 13 months. He earned a Bronze Star participating in invasions. He earned an associate degree in industrial technology, mechanical engineering at Sacramento City College.
He married Marilyn McPherson in 1956 at San Leandro, Calif. Working in California for Continental Can Co. he was transferred in 1974 to the Walla Walla plant. A customer representative, he retired in 1985. He then worked as a supervisor for academic buildings and assistant to the physical plant manager at Whitman College until he was injured and retired with a disability. Mrs. Cobb died in 1986.
On June 21, 1987, he married Patti Kerr in Walla Walla. They traveled for many years. He was an avid reader, a hunter, fisherman, woodcarver, skier and ski and water safety instructor. He could fix almost anything. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Elks 287, Walla Walla Country Club, Masonic Lodge F&AM, and volunteered at Fort Walla Walla Museum. He enjoyed daily coffee time with friends.

Mrs. Ida Cobb age 77 died Sunday at a hospital in Houston, Texas. She was the widow of C. C. Cobb and had been residing with her son, O. G. Cobb, at Houston.

Lucille Cobb, age 93, of Russellville, formerly of Ola, died Friday, May 29, 2009, in Russellville. She was born November 6, 1915 at Dardanelle, AR, widow of Eugene Cobb, and daughter of the late James E. and Bessie Adcock Word.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Wilson Word, who was killed in World War II, May 31, 1945, on Okinawa. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gene Lee Cobb, daughter-in-law, Marilyn Cobb, and sister-in-law, Aline McClure.
She was a graduate of Dardanelle High School and attended Arkansas Tech University. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ola since October 3, 1943. She was a Legal Secretary for Attorneys Fergeson and Madole in Danville, AR before transferring to Soil Conservation Service in Fort Worth, TX. After marriage to Eugene Cobb of Belleville, AR, they purchased Brewer Drug Store in Ola in 1941. She and her husband sold the store in 1973 to their son and daughter-in-law, but she continued to be the bookkeeper until 1995. She was a charter member of the Ola Chamber of Commerce, a former member of Copeland Dixon-Findley Veterans Auxiliary, member of Pioneer Study Club, former president of Ola Business and Professional Womens Club, member of Arkansas Pharmacist Auxiliary, former member of Ola School P. T. A, served on Yell County Library Board, and a former member of Board of Commissioners of Ola Housing Authority. She was active in many of the health drives.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Maurice and Louise Cobb of Ola; daughter-in-law, Patti Cobb of Walla Walla, WA; four grandchildren, Don and Donna Cobb of Hot Springs, John and Sherry Cobb of Russellville, Mary and Steve Callister of Sidney, Australia, Robert and Debbie Cobb of CA; great-grandchildren, Shannon and Brandon Rose of Dardanelle, McKinna Wilsey of Hot Springs, Brecken and Jessie Erner of ND, Shannon Rinke of Little Rock, Kera Rinke of Russellville, Lachlan Callister of Sidney, Australia; two great-great-grandsons, one great-great-granddaughter, another great-great-grandson arriving in June, numerous nieces, a cousin, Allie Jean Moudy of Danville, and several other cousins. Pallbearers were Bruce Burnett, David Pounders, Ronnie Barnes, Donald Walker, Coy Rose, and Jacky Carter.

Longtime Ola Leader, Lucille Cobb, Dies Lucille Cobb, 93, longtime Ola community leader and co-owner of Cobb Drug Store in Ola, died Friday, May 29, 2009, in Russellville. She was wife of Ola Pharmacist Eugene Cobb, with whom she operated Cobb Drug Store for over thirty years, and mother of present pharmacist Maurice Cobb, with whom she continued to work at the Drug Store through the mid-nineties. Lucille was born on November 6, 1915 at Dardanelle, AR, the daughter of James E. and Bessie Adcock Word. She attended and graduated from Dardanelle High School and she attended Arkansas Tech University. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ola for over sixty years, since October 3, 1943. After her marriage to Eugene Cobb of Belleville, the couple purchased Brewer Drug Store in Ola in 1941. They worked the store, the only drug store in Ola, until she and her husband sold the store in 1973 to their son Maurice. She continued to be the bookkeeper for the Pharmacy until 1995. In her earlier life, she had served as a Legal Secretary for the Ferguson and Madole Law Office in Danville, AR. In Fort Worth Texas, she worked with the Soil Conservation Service. Active in Ola Community Mrs. Cobb was always extremely active in Ola life, serving as a charter member of the Ola Chamber of Commerce, and as a member of Copeland-Dixon-Findley Veterans Auxiliary, She was a member of Pioneer Study Club, a president of the Ola Business and Professional Womens Club, a former member of Ola School P. T. A, and served on the Board of Commissioners of the Ola Housing Authority. Marilyn M. Cobb, age 54, of 1836 Crestline Drive, Walla Walla, Wash, died May 7, 1986. She was born in Oakland, Calif. on May 21, 1931. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, P. E. O. Chapter Cl, AAUW, Carnegie Art Center, St. Paul's Study Group, Entre Nous, and Chi Omega Sorority.
She is survived by her husband, Gene L. Cobb of the home; one daughter MariLee Lande of Seattle, Wash.; one son Robert E. Cobb of Bellingham, Wash.; her father Robert M. McPherson of Pebble Beach, Calif.; one sister Boinnie J. Killip of Oakland, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her mother Charlotta McPherson.

Mrs. Virgie Cathey Cochran, age 76 of Danville, died Sunday, September 1, 1991 at the University Hospital in Little Rock. She was a native of Rover, AR, daughter of the late Thomas and Carley Greene Cathey. She was a housewife and mother.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Laura Cochran of Tipton, CA; two brothers, Willious and Thomas Cathey both of Ola; two sisters, Pauline Pelt of Dardanelle and Lee Tyler of Hollis; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Richard Landon "Richie" Cockburn, age 38, of Ft. Smith, AR died Sunday, October 13, 2002 in a Ft. Smith hospital. He was the manager of a meat market and a member of the Elks Lodge.

Roy Lynn Cockburn, age 80, of Harvey, AR died Monday, April 16, 2007 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, AR of stomach cancer. He was born January 20, 1927 in Gravelly, AR, Yell County, to Charley Quinton and Beulah Cockburn. He worked as a timber contractor at Forrester for Dierks Lumber Company until their mill closed in 1952, and Weyerhaeuser in Springfield, OR. He spent most of his life as a private timber contractor and his retirement years selling fruit and vegetables in Scott and Yell Counties in Arkansas and bordering counties in Oklahoma. He thoroughly enjoyed visiting with the many people he met and talked about their friendship. He liked to fish for perch and catfish and take drives down roads in the National Forest.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charley Quinton Cockburn and Beulah Oiler Cockburn; a brother, Leonard Cockburn; a sister Louise Maxey; a son Glenn Ray Cockburn and two nephews, Bobby Maxey and Richie Cockburn.
He is survived by two daughters, Linda and Bobby Mills of Dardanelle, AR and Trisha Sikes of Danville, AR; two brothers, C. L. Cockburn of Mena, AR and Winston Cockburn of Little Rock, AR; a sister Corene White of Tulsa, OK and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside service was April 19 at Cedar Creek Cemetery at Cedar Creek, AR. Pallbearers were M. L. Morgan, Kyle Cockburn, Billy Maxey, Mike Qualls, David Williams and Robert Blankenship. Richard "Dick" Codding, age 76, of Belleville died Sunday, May 26, 2002 at his home in Belleville. Mr. Codding was born April 27, 1926 in California to the late Robert Bruce and Grace Fuller Codding. He was a retired x-ray technician, a Navy Veteran, 32 degree Mason, member of the Scottish Rite, NRA and the Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Scharlene Bean Codding and a grandson, Bobby Weber.
Survivors are two sons, Richard Codding, Jr. of Gulfport, Mississippi, Mike Codding of Anaheim, California; two daughters, Cathy Gillespie of Southhaven, Mississippi, Jeanette Ostrand of Horn Lake, Mississippi; 15 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.

Rena Barness Hicks Coffey, age 85, of Dardanelle, died at the Dardanelle Hospital on June 25, 2006. She was born December 31, 1920 in Dardanelle she was the daughter of the late Wiley and Virgie Turner Hicks.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George Coffey; a daughter, Joy McVey; a son, Dale Coffey; two brothers, Bill Hicks, Jim Hicks and a sister, Edith Cossey.
