Partin, Lena Lee (Barnett)

Lena Lee Partin, 95, of Danville, AR, formerly of Havana, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. The daughter of Alf and Sue Barnett, she was born February 21, 1917 in Moseley. She was a homemaker and a member of the Gum Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting and making clothes for her children and grandchildren and watching her grandchildren play sports.

She was preceded in death by her husband Claud Partin; her parents; her grandson, Craig Taylor; and five siblings, Harry Barnett, J.W. Barnett, Lemoyne Barnett, Cathryn McMullen, and Linda Raymo.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Taylor and husband Edward of Danville; son, Harold Partin and wife Patsy of Dardanelle; five grandchildren, Sherri Wilkins and husband Lance of Danville, Brad Taylor and wife Kim of Havana, Lori James and husband Rick of Dardanelle, Brian Partin and wife Terri of Dardanelle, and Curt Partin of Dardanelle; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Earl Ladd Cemetery in Danville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Rev. Frank Stapleton will officiate. Partin, Ruth Mae Blankenship

Ruth Mae Blankenship Partin, age 76 of Clarksville died Sunday. Mrs. Partin was born January 2, 1917 in Yell County, Arkansas to the late James R. and Alice R. Spears Blankenship. She was a housewife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Partin.

Survivors include a son, Lee Partin of Russellville; two daughters, Violet Bledsaw, Lamar and Betty Askew of North Little Rock; three sisters, Josephine Gilbert of Pleasant Plains, Irene Nash of Centerville and Lorene King of Ola. Four grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren Pallbearers were her nephews.

Partin, Woodrow Wade

Woodrow Wade Partin, born June 21, 1912 in Danville, Arkansas, passed away on July 4, 2008 in San Pedro, California.

Wade joined his "girls", Genevieve, wife of 64 years, and daughter, Janet, in the presence of their Lord on the 4th of July.

His tender-hearted, optimistic, "can do" outlook will be welcomed in Heaven. A celebration of his life will be held Monday, July 28, 2008 at 10:30 A. Jack W. Partridge, age 66, of Russellville died Monday, December 22, 1986 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was retired manager of Goodyear store, and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and Dardanelle Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ava Dean Partridge; a son, Jack W. Partridge Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Edwards of Simsbury, Conn. and Mrs. Nancy Kemp of Rector; three brothers, William O. Partridge of Los Angeles, Calif., J. E. Partridge of Pine Bluff and Don Partridge of Ukiah, Calif.; three sisters, Evelyn West of McKinney, Texas, Mary Gasaway of Dumas and Bonnie Vinson of Russellville, and five grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p. m. Wednesday at Wesley United Methodist Church by the Rev. James Anderson and the Rev. Bob Burnham. Paschall, Mary Celeste

Mary Celeste Paschall, age 73, a loving wife, mother and friend passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2008. Mary was born February 24, 1935 in Brinkley and was raised in Danville. She was a graduate of Danville High School and Arkansas State Teachers College. Mary was long connected to Danville and Yell County throughout her life. Mary was Una Mathis and Taylor Collums only child.

Mary Paschall is survived by her husband Ray, Sr. of Hot Springs; two sons, Ray, Jr. and his wife Naomi of Nashville, TN and Bill Paschall of Little Rock; a granddaughter, Jordan Rene Paschall of Nashville; two aunts, Veona Mathis Caudle, NC and Zona Gale Mathis Caldwell, CA; two nieces, Brenda Sharpmack and Beverly Prince of Pine Bluff and a special god-daughter, Jessica Bryant of Hot Springs and many cousins.

DARDANELLE - Mrs. Arthie Ollie Jolly Passmore, age 66, of Dardanelle died today (Feb. 4, 1987) at a Little Rock hospital. She was a native of England, daughter of the late J. G. and Dessie Watts Jolly, and was a member of Centerville Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Nolon Passmore of Little Rock and Nelson Passmore of Dardanelle; five daughters, Amy Bonds of Clinton, Athleen Carter, Naomi Underwood and Erma Crow of Dardanelle, and Glenda Warren of Harrison; seven brothers, Thomas Jolly of England, John and Arthur Jolly of Clinton, Ernest and Paul Jolly of Casa, Thurman Jolly of Little Rock and Finis Jolly of Conway; two sisters, Jettie Crow and Aline Loven of Clinton; 22 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.

Marcelino Francisco Pastor, infant son of Gabriel Pastor and Maria Guadalupe Navarrete Pastor died Sunday, December 3, 2006 at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Ruby Thompson Pate, 24 years, 11 months, and 16 days old, died Wednesday night at Havana, of bronchial pneumonia. Mrs. Pate was born near Mammoth Springs. About eight years ago, she was saved in the Assembly of God Church.

Dale Patterson, age 65 of Dardanelle, AR died Saturday, October 13, 2001 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. He was born April 17, 1936 in Jayton, TX to the late Henry Abram and Nora Bea Harrison Patterson. He was a retired Arkla employee and a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Cooper Patterson; mother of his children, Rita Patterson of Pottsville, AR; a son, Michael Patterson of Pottsville, AR; two daughters, Becky Guajardo and Lynn Hernandez both of Pottsville, AR; three step-sons, E. John Smith of Omaha, NE, Jime Smith of Mesquite, TX and Jerry Smith of Tigard, OR; a stepdaughter, Debra Meter of Lincoln, NE; one brother, Jerry Patterson of Denver City, TX; two sisters, Clydie Boydston of Ceres, CA and Grace Erathe of Spur, TX; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; 12 step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harley Blagg and Clark Patterson.

She is survived by several nephews and nieces.

J. B. "Pat" Patterson, age 81, of Conway, formerly of Russellville, died Friday, June 2 2000, at his home. Born September 4, 1918, at Plainview to the late William Henderson and Bertha Mae Hickman Patterson, he was a retired truck driver. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in Italy for two years, and a member of Harmony Free Will Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a son, Pat Patterson; a daughter, Linda Rogerson; two brothers, Lyles and Ovid Patterson; and two sisters, Effie Hudson and Atha Patton.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Lydia Patterson; a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Roger Williams of Conway; two sisters, Cletus Brewer of Morrilton and Retha Travis of Atkins; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 10 a. m. Monday at the Shinn Chapel with the Rev. A. E. Bo Coffman and the Rev. Bob Alexander officiating. Patterson, J. D. "Pat"

J. D. "Pat" Patterson, age 39, of Dardanelle died today (Oct. 17, 1986) at St. Mary's Hospital. He was a native of Russellville, a commercial printer, former employee of the Courier Democrat and a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Survivors include three sons, Jeff Patterson of Delaware, and Rusty and Aaron Patterson of Dardanelle; a daughter, Pam Patterson of Dardanelle; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Patterson of Dover; two sisters, Mrs. John C. Rogerson of Russellville and Mrs. Peggy Williams of Paragould, and two grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 11 a. m. Monday at Shinn Chapel by Bishop Perry Turnbull, the Rev. Bob Rackley and the Rev. Johnny Watson. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park by Shinn Funeral Service. Patterson, James Bruce

James Bruce Patterson, age 45 of Russellville, died Thursday, October 30, 2008 at St. Marys Regional Medical Center. He was born December 12, 1962 in Waldron and was the son of Patsy Garrett Benefield and the late Tommy Shorty Patterson. He was a Sergeant for the U. S. Army-Infantry-3rd Armored Division, a member of the Screaming Eagles, a Veteran of Desert Storm, and received many accommodations and medals for his service. He was a member of the Baptist Church of Plainview and was employed by Bibler Lumber Company for 11 years where he was a machine operator. He loved stock cars, animals, and his family. He was a student at Plainview and graduated in the state of Washington.

He is preceded in death by his father, Tommy Patterson; stepfather, James K. Benefield; grandmother, Nobie Garrett and uncle, Gary Garrett.

Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Debra Patterson of Russellville; daughter, Alyssa Patterson of Friedberg, Germany; mother, Patsy Benefield of Plainview; brothers and sister-in-law, Lynn and Nancy Patterson, and Tommy Lee Jr. Patterson, all of Plainview; sisters, Denise Cunningham of Little Rock, Carolyn Burnett, and KaKa Patterson, both of Danville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerry and Shirley Kilburn of Harrison; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and family. Pallbearers were Keith Snyder, Don Brothers, Lynn Patterson, Christopher Patterson, John Thomas Patterson and Allen Phillips. Patterson, James Lancaster "Pat"

James Lancaster "Pat" Patterson, age 81, of Mountain Home, ID died Saturday, May 2, 1998 at home after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. He was born September 27, 1916 in Ola, AR to John Thomas and Leevie Patterson. He joined the Navy in 1941 during World War II prior to Pearl Harbor, serving in the South Pacific, notably the Midway conflict. "Jim" was one of the few men that survived when the ship he was on "The U. S. S. Worton" was hit by enemy torpedoes. He was sent to the navy hospital in Glenwood Springs, CO to recover from his injuries. While there, he met Rosemary Malano and they were married June 30, 1944. Jim was discharged from the Navy in 1945 at Mare Island, CA. After the war Jim returned to Arkansas where he worked at various jobs. In 1946, he was hired by Sinclair Oil Company (later Atlantic Richfield Company) and moved to Texas. He and his family lived in various parts of Texas, wherever his job transferred him. After retiring from Atlantic Richfield in 1971, he started his own gasoline pump and equipment repair shop in Georgetown, TX. In 1984, Jim sold his business and moved to Mountain Home, Idaho to be closer to family (grandchildren and pursue his love for hunting in Idaho. Jim was an avid hunter and outdoors man. His skills with carpentry produced many pieces of lawn furniture, garden trellis and countless hours of teaching grandchildren the proper way to use and take care of tools. Jim was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed making his Texas barbeque for family and friends and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rosemary; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and David Slosser of Tomball, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lee and Duane Sammons; grandson Thomas Sammons and granddaughter, Marijo Sammons of Boise, ID; son and daughter-in-law, James T. and Nina Patterson and grandsons Patrick and Brady Patterson of Mountain Home, ID; a sister, Janice Phillips and brother Tommy Lee Patterson born of Ola, AR; a brother William R. Patterson of Mountain Home, ID, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Ida (Molly) Parker, Theo Rogers, Salina Koch, Pearl Potts and granddaughter, Terra Marie Patterson.

Service was May 7, 1998 at Salem Church in Plainview, AR conducted by Rev. Monroe Hunt and Rev. Richard Stegall. Burial with military honors were at Salem Cemetery. Casketbearers were Tom, Mike, Allen Phillips, Johnny Parker, Robert Merriweather and Lynn Patterson. Honorary Hayes Bridges, Tommy Watson, Bill Watson and Sherrill B. Willard. James M. Patterson, age 84, died February 17 at the Arkansas Baptist Hospital. He was a former resident of Danville, a deacon of the First Baptist Church in Little Rock, a Mason, and a retired railroad foreman.

Survivors include six sons, Albert of California, Charles of Roland, Raymond of El Paso, Tex., and Jimmy of Danville, Ford and Jack of Little Rock; one daughter, Maggie McCauley of Little Rock; 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Patterson, John Thomas

John Thomas Patterson, 84 of Ola, died April 29 at his home. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Salem Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Leevie Coslet Patterson; three sons, J.L. Patterson and William R. Patterson, both of Texas, and T.L. Mrs. Kathryn Delcena Clemmentine Patterson, age 85, of Gravelly died June 6 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Omar Woodruff. She was a native of Yell County.

Mrs. Nancy Jane Patterson, 73, of Little Rock died August 31 in Arkansas Baptist Hospital after a long illness. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Little Rock. Patterson, Rosemary M.

Rosemary M. Patterson, age 77, of Mountain Home, died Saturday, October 23, 1999 at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center following a short illness. She was born March 2, 1922 at Pryor, CO to Joseph and Mary Malano. She married James L. Patterson on June 30, 1944 in Glenwood Springs, CO. They moved to Texas where they settled and raised three children. They moved to Mountain Home in 1984 to be closer to the light of their life, their grandchildren. Rosemary was contented to be a homemaker and was noted for her special beef roast, which her husband taught her to prepare. She enjoyed traveling, reading, crossword puzzles, embroidery, crocheting, music and movies. Collecting figurines and special edition plates were her hobbies. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren and her many friends. She delighted in hosting family gatherings, especially at holidays and loved to have her grandchildren visit.

She is survived by her son, James T. Patterson and wife, Nina of Mountain Home, Idaho; daughters, Sandra Slosser and husband, David of Houston, TX, Mary Lee Sammons and husband, Duane of Boise, Idaho; grandsons, Thomas Sammons of Boise, ID, Patrick and Brady Patterson of Mountain Home, ID and granddaughter, Marijo Sammons of Boise, ID; beloved sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Janice Phillips and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James, granddaughter Terra Marie Patterson and her parents.

Patterson, Ruth

Ruth Patterson, age 84, of Danville died Sunday August 5, 2007 at her home. She was born October 26, 1922 in Plainview, AR to the late Otto & Elizabeth Lipsey Mathis. She started her career as a RN in the Danville Clinic, which also served as the local hospital. She continued to work for over forty years at the Yell County Hospital, and then worked part time after her retirement. She was a member of the Danville First Baptist Church for over fifty-four years, serving as a Sunday school teacher for the two to four year olds for many years. She was also a member of the Arkansas Nursing Association. She loved to cook and take care of her children and grandchildren. Ruth not only made an impact serving her community as a nurse, she was a devoted mother and grandmother. She touched the lives of many people with her Godly example. Grandma Ruth will be greatly missed and will remain in our hearts forever.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jimmy" Patterson, a brother, Robert Mathis and a sister, Sara Ella Patterson. Her survivors are sons daughters-in-law, Danny Patterson and James "Snooky" & Beverly Patterson all of Danville, David & Sherry Patterson of Salem Missouri, daughters & sons-in-law, Jan & Al Chenowith of Russellville, Marilyn & Johnny Cogburn and Patsy & Art Richards all of Dardanelle, brothers, Orlan Mathis of Camden, Duell Mathis of Eureka Springs, sister, Billie Ann Cole of Hensley, 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nephews, nieces and many, many friends.

Patterson, Sherry Lynn Townley

Funeral service for Sherry Lynn Townley Patterson was April 30, 2008 in the New Harmony Church at Salem, MO with Bro David Gidcumb and Bro. John Smith officiating. A eulogy was given by her brother, John Townley. Music was by Katie Steelman and Donna Rollins. Serving as pallbearers were Charles "Chip" Kerry, Roy Wiggins, David Wayne Wiggins, Bernie Sirois, Tyler Dillon, Richard Beckett, and Todd Cummings. Interment was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Sherry entered into this world on January 3, 1965 and was called home by her Heavenly Father on April 24, 2008 at the tender age of 43 years. Sherry was a native of Elmer, Louisiana, where she spent the majority of her childhood and young adult years. Sherry had made her home in Salem where she lived at the time of her death, with her husband and family. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished friend to all she met. Anyone who knew Sherry was blessed to have her touch their lives. Sherry had the voice of an angel and anyone lucky enough to have heard her sing can understand why the angels in Heaven are rejoicing to have her enhance their choir. Sherry achieved a lifelong dream by graduating from Southwest Baptist University in May 2007, with a degree in Psychology.

Sherry is survived by her beloved husband of 24 years David Patterson. They were married on November 12, 1983 and resided in Salem. Also, surviving are three sons, Steven Patterson and wife, Stevie of Salem, MO. Matthew Patterson and fiance, Anna Barnes of Salem, MO, and Jared Patterson of Salem, MO; one daughter, Elizabeth Patterson and fiance Cesar Flores of Little Rock, AR; her parents, Edwin and Audrey Townley of Elmer, LA; two brothers, John Townley and wife, Tonya of Wister, OK, and Jeffrey Townley and wife, Dolores of Calcasieu, LA; maternal grandmother, Lucille Wiggins of Glenmora, LA; paternal grandmother, Ella Townley of Elmer, LA; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Dean Patterson and a sister, Jeannie Morrow.

Survivors include his son, Buddy Ray Patterson and wife Rhonda of Ola, AR; daughter, Barbie Rodgers and husband Scott of Benton, AR; two granddaughters, Cameron Cogburn and Megan Rodgers of Benton, AR; five sisters, Minnie Fortson of Hot Springs, AR, Betty Whitfield and husband Jack of Scott, AR, Mary Price and husband Gale of Greenbrier, AR, Bernice Key of Humphrey, AR, Sue Wolf of South Carolina; and brother, Eugene Buchanan of Bryant, AR. Buddy will be missed by many friends, nieces, and nephews. He loved to fish, camp, and spend time in the outdoors.

Tommy Lee "Shorty" Patterson, age 83, of Ola, AR died Saturday, July 26, 2003 at Yell County Nursing Home in Ola, AR. He was the son of John and Levie (Coslett) Patterson; he was born July 9, 1920 in Kingston, AR. He married Cindy Noblett on May 19, 1999 at Ola. He was a United States Army Veteran of WWII. He worked as a Boilermaker and was Methodist in faith. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local 69 and a lifetime member of VFW Fisher-Law Post in Plainview.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Cheryl Leigh Patterson, six sisters and one brother.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Patterson of Ola, AR; three sons, Lynn and Nancy Patterson of Carter Cove, AR, James Bruce and Debra Patterson of Russellville, AR and Tommy Lee Patterson, Jr. of Plainview; three daughters, Denise Cunningham of No. Little Rock, AR; Carolyn and Bruce Burnett of Ola, AR and K. K. Patterson, Ola, AR; 10 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Billy Ray and Lila Patterson of Boise, ID and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral was July 29, 2003 at the Plainview Methodist Church with Rev. Monroe Hunt and Mike Veazey officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery at Plainview by Humphrey Funeral Service. Casket bearers were Lynn Patterson, Bruce Patterson, Tommy Lee Patterson, Jr. Bruce Burnett, Thomas Phillips and Allen Phillips; honorary Boilermakers Local 69.
