Williams, Delores E. Brewer

Delores E. Brewer Williams, age 68, of Coal Hill, AR died Saturday, April 3, 2004 near Waveland, AR. She was born February 12, 1936 in Sedgwick, -AR to the late Elmer C. Kisling and Clara McQuay Kisling. She was of the Pentecostal faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Burlin S. Brewer; a brother, J. D. Kisling and a great-grandson, Nathanael J. Furr.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Knyles Angela Brewer of Russellville, AR and Kurtis and Jamie Brewer of Atkins, AR; three daughters and sons-in-law, Cassandra and Eddie Hurst of Ozark, AR, Tracy Bradley Boerner of Ola, AR and Kristola & Bruce Boyd of Atkins, AR; two brothers, Lee Kisling of Dardanelle, AR and Elmer Kisling of Mt. George. AR; one sister, Etola McCutcheon of Dardanelle, AR; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be today, Wednesday, April 7th at the Dardanelle Funeral Service Chapel by Rev. Bill Reno. Burial will be in the Elizabeth Hall Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Level, Danny Kisling, Roy Standridge, Jr. Kynles Brewer, Billy Joe Kisling and Bradley Boerner. Williams, Ernest I.

Ernest I. Williams, Sr. age 85 of Malvern, Arkansas passed away Thursday, May 8, 2003 in a Little Rock hospital. He was born June 27, 1917 in Havana, Arkansas to the late Lelan J. Williams, Sr. and the late Nettie Clark Williams. He retired from Rock Island Railroad Company where he worked as a track foreman for 37 years. After his retirement from the railroad he was owner and operator of Williams Track Works. He was a member of the North Main Church of Christ and a 32degree Mason for over 50 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in World War II and in 276 Signal Core in the Philippines.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dr. Ernest I. Williams, Jr. a brother, Lelan Williams, Jr. Cherishing his memory are a loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Elwanda Lucille McClesky Williams; a son, Robert "Bob" M. Williams and his wife Diane of Hot Springs; a daughter, Gerry Nell Spears and her husband Donald of Little Rock; a daughter-in-law, Janet Williams of Malvern; a sister, Iva Gean Thompson of Oroville, CA; step-mother, Mamie Williams of Danville; a stepsister, Etta Foster of Havana; a stepbrother, Aaron W. Brown of Wichita, KS; 7 granddaughters, Jennifer Riggan, Jill Dabbs and her husband Allan, Amy Clements and her husband Jeremy, Whitney Kerr and her husband Kirby, Wendy Kidder and her husband George, Jr. Molly Bea Spears and Lucy Day Williams; a grandson, Barrett Spears; 5 great-grandchildren, Alicia & Deven Clements, Emily & Reagan Dabbs, and Daniel Riggan.

Williams, Evelyn Blevins

Evelyn Blevins Williams, age 88 of Dardanelle, died Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was born October 25, 1919 at McCrory to the late Tredger Elton and Julian Myrtle Fowler Blevins. She retired as Business Manager from the Courier and was a member of the Dardanelle First Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Waino Michael Williams and a brother, Earl Blevins.

Survivors include three sons, Kenneth Earl Williams of Memphis, TN, Michael Blevins Williams of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Wayne Waino Williams of Sedalia, MO; daughter, Sandra Evelyn Williams of Dardanelle; twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Williams, Evey Dell

Mrs. Evey Dell Williams, age 82, of Danville, AR died July 18, 1997 in Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith, AR. She was born August 19, 1914 to the late Will Keenom and the late Rhody Harper Keenom. She was affiliated with the Assembly of God church of Centerville.

She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

Survivors are husband, Everett Williams of Danville, AR; three sons, Joe Montgomery of Fresno, CA, Ray and Jerry Montgomery both of Story, AR; two daughters, Wanda Byers of Sallisaw, OK and Retta Broyles of Muldrow, OK; three brothers, Floyd Keenom of Empire, CA, Dowl Keenom of Booneville, AR and Fred Keenom of Fresno, CA; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Williams, Florence Allie

Mrs. Florence Allie Williams, age 87, died February 15, 1959 in St. Mary's Hospital in Russellville. She had lived most of her life in Dutch Creek Valley and was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.

Williams, Frank

Frank Williams, age 48, a resident of Russellville, AR formerly of Ola, AR died Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. He was born July 18, 1954, at Morrilton, AR to the late George and Reba Jewel Foster Williams. He was a member of the First Baptist Church at Ola. He enjoyed raising German Shepherd dogs, fishing and gardening. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, George L. and Hank Williams.

Survivors include three brothers, O. J. Williams of Ola, AR, Jackie Dan Williams of Pottsville, AR and Leroy McGuire of Centerville, AR; a sister, Gladys Sue Phillips of Russellville, AR; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was November 25, 2002 at the Ola First Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Rick Balentine. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery at Ola under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service. Williams, Frank H.

Frank H. Williams, Jr. age 37, a resident of Russellville, AR. died Tuesday, December 29, 1998 at Baptist Medical Center at Little Rock, AR. He was born on October 10, 1961 at Little Rock, AR. to Frank, Sr. and Exa Mae (Hyatt) Williams. He married Teresa R. (Bolinger) on January 5, 1985 at Calico Rock, AR. He was a retired minister with the American Baptist Association and was a member of the Bethany Missionary Baptist Church of Atkins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Williams of Russellville; two brothers, Sam Williams of Perryville, AR. and Steve Williams of Grapevine, TX; one nephew, Dustin Williams of Grapevine, TX and several cousins.

A memorial service was held December 30, 1998 at the Dardanelle Missionary Baptist Church officiated by Bro. Lester Barnes, and assisted by Bro. Tom McElmurry. The body was cremated. Williams, Gertrude Downs

Gertrude Downs Williams, age 85, of Dardanelle, AR widow of James Leonard Williams died Thursday, July 22, 1999 at her home. She was born February 6, 1914 to the late Thomas Noah and Maude Swindle Downs. She graduated from Dardanelle High School in 1931 and was a member of First United Methodist Church for over 65 years.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Lamar Downs. She was a charter member of Dardanelle Business and Professional Women's Club, Order of Easter Star 589, Wesleyan Service Guild, Now United Methodist Women, serving as President and treasurer, XYZ Club First Methodist Church serving as treasurer and Dardanelle Book Club serving as treasurer. She was the first woman to be employed in the office of Fox Delux Food 1952 (later known as AVI, Valmac, Tasty Bird, now known as Tyson Foods), serving in the accounting department for nineteen years. She served in the Mayor s office from 1971 to 1980 during the tenure of the late Henry Esch and then Dana Merritt.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Harry Hixon of Maumelle, AR; a grandson, Keith Burnett of Vilonia; two nieces, Betty Browning of Dardanelle and Nancy Gill of Novata, CA; five great nieces and nephews and seven great-great nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Grace Viola Williams, age 85, of Chickalah Mountain died Monday, January 4, 1988 at Yell County Hospital in Danville. She was the daughter of the late G. W. and Beatrice Sugg Madden and the widow of Curtis Williams. She was Chickalah Mm. Editor for the Record for many many years.

Iris Gale Williams, age 62, of Ola died Sunday, March 24, 2002 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. Mrs. Williams was born October 24, 1939 in Hanford, California to the late Thomas Howard and "Jessie Clarice Dempsey Bly. She was a homemaker and mother.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Anne Bly.

Survivors are her husband of 17 years, O. J. Williams; one son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Anita Rodgers of Austin, Texas; three daughters, Stormee Williams and Stephanie Watson Rodgers both of Ola, Stacey Rodgers of Birta; a stepson, John Stafford of Ola; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Odie and Pat Bly, Howard and Bonnie Bly and Ira D. and Marie Bly, all of Birta, Alfred "Dempsey" and Betty Bly of Ola; one sister and brother-in-law, Leola and Charles Rose of Ola; four grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

Williams, James T.

James T. Williams, age 80, of Stuttgart, died Tuesday, January 16, 2007, at his home. He was born September 29, 1926 in Russellville, Ark., the son of James Tolbert and Donna Burris Williams. He was retired from Acme Electric where he was a construction manager, and was a Mason and member of Park Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Christine Parker Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Havana Cemetery located north of Russellville by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart. Visitation was Thursday at Turpin Funeral Home.

She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jim Brown and Lelon I. Williams; sons William Brown and Vernon Brown; stepson, Ernest Williams; step grandson, Ernest Williams, Jr.; brothers, Willie Loughridge, Fred Loughridge, Roy Loughridge; sisters Ethel Sarten, Maude Hicks, Hetty Fletcher Sorrels, and Minnie Barnard.

Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Etta and Martin B. Foster of Havana; two stepdaughters-in-law, Elwanda Williams of Little Rock and Iva Jean Williams of Oroville, CA ;brother Sam Loughridge of Charleston; sister-in-law, Frances Loughridge of Charleston; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, four step grandchildren, 12 step great-grandchildren, and eight step great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held Friday at the WYC Church of Christ with John McCourt officiating. Interment was in Moores Chapel Cemetery. Her grandsons served as pallbearers. Martha Beatrice "Bea" Williams, age 66, of Russellville, AR died Saturday, May 15, 1999 at St. Mary's Hospital in Russellville. She was born August 29, 1932 in Warren, AR to the late Tommy and Marcie Myrtle Hallman Reppond, Sr. She lived in Dardanelle for 32 years and was retired from Con Agra.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Sam Reppond and a sister, Hattie Richards.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Debra Jean and Mike Hamm of Gallatin, TN; one brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Wanda Reppond of Dover, AR; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Ray Midwell of Dover; two granddaughters and grandson-in-law;, Stacie West of Russellville and Shelley and Keith Hugghins of White Oak, TX; two great granddaughters, Ashley Kate and Carley Shaw Hugghins both of White Oak, TX and several nephews and nieces.

Williams, Mary Ricker

Mary Ricker Williams, age 99, or Waveland, AR, widow of Harley Thomas Williams died Saturday, November 3, 2001 at Oak Manor Nursing Center in Booneville, AR. She was born June 3, 1902 in Belleville, AR to the late William M. and Alemdia Allie Tygart Ricker. She was a homemaker and mother and a member of the Waveland United Methodist Church, she served as the Junior High Class Sunday School teacher for 50 years. Mary was the last surviving charter member of the Waveland Homemakers Extension Club, with the Club having been organized at her home in 1934 and she remained an active member until her death.

She is survived by five daughters and a son-in-law, Ruby McKee, Beth & Noble James and Virginia James all of Waveland, Francis Mathis of Shawnee, OK and Willie McBride of Ola, AR; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren

Mildred Irene Williams, age 75, died Tuesday, June 13, 2000 at her home. He was born December 30, 1924 in Bluffton, AR, the daughter of the late James Henry and Bertha Hilburn Smallwood. She was a housewife, a former member of the Eastern Star and a member of the Fairview Church of God in Hot Springs, AR.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Williams.

R. H. Williams, age 54, of Danville, AR died Friday, June 23, 2006 at his home. He was born February 21, 1952 in Danville, AR the son of Rube and Reba Hunt Williams. He was a crew leader for the Arkansas Highway Department.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Sue Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta Adair Williams of Danville, AR; a daughter Andrea Williams of Danville, AR; parents, Rube and Reba Hunt Williams of Danville, AR; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Janet Williams of Danville, AR; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jan and David Laster of Belleville and Kathy and Dr. Gary Russell of Dardanelle, AR and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral was June 25, 2006 at the Danville First Baptist Church with Rev. Jackie Allen and Rev. Ricky Hunt officiating. Williams, Raymond L.

Raymond L. Williams, age 73, of Arkadelphia, AR, formerly of Hot Springs, AR died Thursday, November 14, 1996 in Arkadelphia. He was born April 30, 1923 in Bluffton, AR the son of the late Nathaniel Augustus and Fanny Emma Killian Williams. He attended Arkansas Tech at Russellville and was a retired AP&L employee. He was a WWII Army veteran of the 460 Ordinance Evacuation Co. a 32nd degree mason with memberships in Malvern and Bluffton for fifty years, and served as worshipful master at the Jones Mill Industrial Lodge No 751. He was a member of Fairview Church of God in Hot Springs where he served as deacon and elder in the church.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Smallwood Williams; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen Rix Wiemen and Mark C. Wieman; three sisters, Clara Swaim of Crossett, Ruby Harvey of Wilmot and Anna Grace Neeley of Dumas; three grandchildren, Tara Rix, Nathan Rix and Jamie Rix; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was November 16 at the Fairview Church of God in Hot Springs with Bro. Marcus Phillips and Rev. Bill Singleton officiating. Williams, Reba J.

Mrs. Reba J. Williams, age 71, of Ola, AR died Saturday, March 16, 1996 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. She was born May 29, 1924 in Ola, daughter of the late Oscar and Maude Barnes Foster. She was a mother and homemaker and the widow of George Williams and a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by a son, George L. Williams.

Survivors include four sons, Lee Roy McGuire, Centerville, AR, Frankie Williams, Little Rock, AR, Jackie Williams, Russellville, AR an O. J. Williams of Ola, AR; one daughter, Gladys Sue Phillips of Russellville; three brothers, Benny Foster, Centerville, Floyd Foster of Ola and Fay Foster of Florida; four sisters, her twin, Ruby Lowery of Plainview, AR, Vera Hayes of Casa, AR, Juanita Hutchins of Knoxville, TN and Irene Key of South Carolina; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were March 19 at the Ola Church of Christ with Leslie VanWinkle officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery. Mr. Reid Daniel Williams, age 75, of Havana, AR died Friday, March 27, 1998 at the Booneville Community Hospital. He was born July 10, 1922 in Yell County, AR to the late Lonzo and Ila Yandell Williams. He was a retired carpenter.

Survivors include his wife, Iras Garrison Williams; a son, Delvin Williams of San Diego, CA; a daughter, Nancy Bethel of Hot Springs, AR; a sister, Ruth Stephanian of Ft. Smith, AR; four grandchildren, Shanna McCourt of Havana, AR, Reid Bethel (If Belleville, AR, Tammie Williams of Hawaii and April Williams of Los Angeles, CA; six great grandchildren, Wes Bethel of Belleville, AR, Kysha Bethel of Danville, AR, Jammie and Michael Williams both of Hawaii and Ashley. and Allie McCourt both of Havana, AR.

Williams, Robert Hays

Robert Hays Williams, Author of Danville History, Dies Robert Hays Williams, 96, a native and historian of Danville, died on October 19, 2009 at Wildflower Retirement Center in Russellville. Williams lived in Danville until he graduated from Danville High School in 1930 and left for college where he earned his law degree. In 2003, the Record published a series of news articles about the history of Danville from 1917 to 1932. He practiced law under the late Judge John E. Chambers in Danville for a period of time before moving his practice to Russellville where he opened a law practice and later served as a Circuit Judge. His parents, Jim and Lizzie Williams, (everyone called his mother, Miss Lizzie) operated a variety store in Danville in the early part of the 1900's for many years.

A memorial service will be held in the old sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church of Russellville on Saturday, October 24 at 10:00 a. m. under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Williams, Robert Hays

Robert Hays Williams, 96, of Russellville, died Monday, October 19, 2009 at Wildflower Born in Danville, Yell County, Arkansas, on September 22, 1913, he was the son of the late James T. and Lizzie Scisson Williams. He was a 1930 graduate of Danville High School and attended Arkansas Polytechnic College (now Arkansas Tech University) and earned both a Bachelor of Arts and a Juris Doctorate from The George Washington University in Washington D. C. Williams began his law practice in Russellville with the firm of Hays, Wait and Williams and then, with his long-time partner, Charles Gardner, formed the firm of Williams and Gardner. He represented the 5th Judicial District as Prosecuting Attorney for four years and served as Circuit Judge for four years. He also represented the 10th Senatorial District as State Senator for eight years. Shortly after the bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1941, Williams enlisted in the U. S. Army where he received training for work with the Counter Intelligence Corps. Robert Hays made the D-Day landing at Utah Beach with the 4th Infantry Division and served with the 4th ID until the war ended in Europe. He received the Bronze Star Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Theatre Ribbon with five bronze stars for five European Theatre campaigns. Having received a battlefield commission during the campaign in Northern France, upon his return to Arkansas, Williams joined the Arkansas Army National Guard, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. During his many years of leadership in Russellville and Pope County, Williams served as member of the Russellville School Board, the ARVAC Board, the Governor's Advisory Council on Aging, the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care, AARP, and the Russellville Noon) Rotary Club. He was a Paul Harris Fellow and was honored as Russellville's Citizen of the Year in 1987. He was inducted into the Arkansas Tech University Hall of Distinction 1980. Williams was a Master Mason and member of the Russellville Masonic Lodge #274, the Western Arkansas Scottish Rite where he received his 33rd degree, the York Rite Consistory and the Red Cross of Constantine. He was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church, serving in almost every position for the laity, and, for a number of years, regularly taught the Lois Griffin Sunday School Class.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Martha Frances (Patton) Williams, Russellville; two daughters, Anne Rye and husband Alton, Bedford, Texas, Jane Williams and husband Roger Kalthoff, Winston Salem, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Melissa Rye, Hays Rye and wife Chave, Cason Coplin and wife Laurie and two great grandchildren, Hayden and Molly Cate Rye.

A memorial service in celebration of a life well-lived will was held in the old sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church on October 24, 2009 under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Williams, Robert Lee

Robert Lee Williams, age 94 of Aztec, NM, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2008 at home. He was born on March 7, 1914 in Coleman, Texas to W. K. and Nancy Williams. He was married to Irene Williams. He was a member of the U. S. Army, 200th Coast Artilleries (AA). He was a Sergeant in WWII and a survivor of the Bataan Death March in 1942. He survived as a POW of the Japanese in the Philippines for 3 1/2 years. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Newel Williams, sister, Velma Morales and great-granddaughter, Larissa Williams.

He is survived by his son, Bob and Bonnie Williams of Aztec; three grandsons and four great grandchildren; Aunts, Winnie Brown of Clovis, NM, Dessie Dickinson of Sequin, TX; brothers, Ed and Sue Williams of Hobbs, NM; sisters, Maggie Valentine of Lubbock, TX and Ethel Carr of Hobbs, NM; brother-in-law, Everett and Arlene Gray of Cedar Creek, AR; sister-in-law, Frieda Williams of Tatum, NM and numerous nieces and nephews.

Williams, Thomas Marlow "Boo Davis"

Thomas Marlow "Boo Davis" Williams, age 37, of Fort Smith formerly of Danville passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Sparks Regional Hospital in Fort Smith. He was born July 22, 1973 in Conway, Arkansas to Ronnie Wayne Davis and Celestine Dawson Chrisp. He was a member of the Liberty Hill Baptist Church, assistant manager and delivery for Domino's Pizza and a 1991 Danville High School graduate.

Preceded in death by his sister Emmastine Davis, grandparents Augustine Dawson, Nelson & Fannie Mae Smith, grandfather-in-law John Tannahill.

Survivors include his wife Paula Williams; 6 children Tamarah Williams, Tiffany Miller, Shammond Williams, Christopher Miller, Olivia Williams and Hakim Williams; father & stepmother Ronnie & Rosemary Davis of Danville; mother & step-father Celestine & Chris Chrisp of Tennessee; mother-in-law Phyllis Miller of Fort Smith; sisters Eugenia & Bobby Anderson of Russellville; Jamie & Demoine Tolbert of Danville; Gwen Chrisp of Tennessee; Crystal Hernandez of Russellville; grandparcnts Rev. Williams, Zedna Faye

Former County Resident Killed At Ft. Smith - Mrs. Zedna Faye Williams, age 39, a native of Briggsville and resident of Ft. Smith, was found dead on a highway near Fort Smith early Sunday morning. Sheriff Prentice R. Maddux said Mrs. Williams body was discovered on Highway 96 south of Ft. Smith by Tony Mayfield of Lavaca about 1 a. m. He said another motorist reported that he ran over the body after Mayfield left to notify police. Mrs. Williams husband, Justin Williams, a carpenter and painter, said he and his wife had dinner at a Ft. Smith restaurant and returned home together, according to Deputy Sheriff Loudermilk. The officer said Williams told him that he retired shortly after reaching home and he was notified by police about 5 a. m. that her body had been found. Deputy Sheriff Brown of Ft. Smith said Wednesday that no charges have been filed and that Williams is not being held. He said that the sheriff's office is still investigating the case.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Williams is survived by a daughter, Mary Ellen Taylor of Novato, Calif; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Humphries of Rover; four sisters, Mrs. Carl Click of El Dorado, Mrs. Pete Scott and Mrs. Thed Pickens of Carlsbad, New Mexico and Mrs. Beecher Castleberry of Danville and one brother, Joe Humphries of El Dorado.
