Lambert, Barbara (Melton)

Barbara Melton Lambert 70 of New Blaine found eternal peace on June 1st at St Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock Arkansas. Barbara was a stay at home mother, hair dresser, and former employee of the Plainview Rover school district she was a graduate of Fourche Valley High school. She was a friend to everyone she met, loved to dance, sing and play with her grandchildren. Her motto in life was to Live, Love, and Laugh.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother Arley and Jewel Melton, her brother Bobby Melton and her husband Vernon E. (Sonny) Lambert.

She is survived by her children Brian Lambert of Fayetteville, William Lambert of Bella Vista and Cheryl Dee Lambert of New Blaine, her sister Nina Lolfland of New Blaine and seven grandchildren, and several nephews & nieces.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Mt Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Lambert, Betty Qualls

Mrs. Betty Qualls Lambert, age 44, of Iron Station, N. C. a former resident of Russellville, died November 2, 1985. She was a former security guard at the Arkansas Nuclear One plant.

Survivors include her husband, Hubert Lambert; three sons; two daughters including Sherry Hall of Dardanelles a grandmother, a brother, two half-brothers, four half-sisters and seven grandchildren.

Betty June Syler Lambert, age 69 of Gravelly, Yell County, AR, widow of Burvin Lambert, died Tuesday, May 2, 2000 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. She was born October 15, 1930 in Hon, Scott County, Arkansas to the late George and Julia Browning Syler. She was the former owner of Lambert Motors in Danville, AR with her late husband, Burvin.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Elaine Lambert of Nola, AR; one daughter and son-in-law, Janelle and Noral Stamps of Waldron, AR; adopted son and wife, Tommy and Lynn Vanover of Texarkana, AR; one brother, Burl Syler of Arkadelphia, AR; one sister, Martha Grisby of Waldron, AR; four grandchildren, Brad Stamps, Stacey Laurie, Mary Lynn Mentz and Lewis Dale Lambert and two great-grandchildren, Madison Laurie and Ethan Mentz.

Kevin Earl Lambert, age 40, of Chula, AR departed this life Thursday, February 28, 2008. He was born December 17, 1967 in Danville, AR. He was an employee of Roy Hodges Farms.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Noah and Lottie Lambert of Chula and Reuben and Anita Waggoner of Norman, AR.

He loved his family deeply and enjoyed visiting with his friends. Those that knew him knew that he loved to talk. He especially enjoyed playing and being with Bradley and Jacee. He like to hunt and fish with his buddies, Lisa, Bradley Halsell, Tim Stokes, Roy Hodges and Keith Solley. He like riding his horse and working cattle. He was a COWBOY. The mountains were his home. He was a friend to many. He will be greatly missed by his family who loved him so much and by his friends.

Mr. Noah Earl Lambert, age 85, of Chula, AR died Friday at his home. He was a retired logger and fanner. He was a member of the Muddy Creek Church of God. He was a World War II Veteran of the U. S. Marines.

He was preceded in death by, two daughters, Imogene Lambert and Delitha Ilene Webb and by four brothers, Forrest, Burvin, Lonnie and Vernon Lambert.

Lambert, Vernon E. Sonny

Mr. Vernon E. Sonny Lambert, age 53 of Plainview, AR died Tuesday, November 7,1995 at his home in Plainview. He was born in Waldron, AR September 28, 1942, son of Willie Lambert of Ola and the late Vernon Lambert. He was senior vice-president of the Bank of Dardanelles a graduate of Arkansas Tech University, and South Methodist University, he was a captain in the US Army, a silver and bronze star recipient of the Vietnam War and a 32 Mason. He was a member of the Paul Harris Fellow Rotary International, Boy Scouts, Fund raising committee and past officer of the Dardanelle Chamber of Commerce. He had been with the bank for 15 years.

Survivors include: his mother, Willie Lambert of Ola; his wife Barbara Melton Lambert; two sons, Jon Brian Lambert of Fayetteville and William Edwin Lambert of Plainview; a daughter, Cheryl Dee Lambert of Plainview; one, brother, Charles Lambert of Belleville; three sisters, Lisa Defoor of Bluffton, Karen Bunting of Silver Spring, Maryland and Michele Lambert of Olney, Maryland.

Lamont, Jack A.

Jack A. LaMont, age 65 of Havana, AR died Friday, August 23, 2002 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. He was born October 19, 1936 in Sayre, Pennsylvania. He retired after 30 years of service in the United States Army. He served three tours in Korea and Vietnam.

He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Scotty & Doris Scott, stepson, Donnie Guthrie; two sisters, JoAnn Gowen and Jean Scott and a nephew, Billy Ray Owens.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Ernestine Crews LaMont; a sister, Joyce Fassett of Athens, PA; half brother, Jim Scott of Pine City, NY; daughter-in-law, Elwen Guthrie McLean of Hot Springs, AR; two grandchildren, Sarah and Philip Guthrie of Hot Springs, AR; four sisters-in-law, Mildred and Evalee Owens both of Havana, Bonnie Hall of Flippin, AR and Betty Chapman of Plainview, AR; nieces, Jerry Parker, Carol Penner, Donna Gossett, Jeannie Hall, Kathy Barham and Joy Phillips; nephews, Michael Hall, Danny Owens, Jimmy Greenwood and AC Phillips and several great and great-great nephews and nieces.

Lampkin, Betty J. (Kelley)

Betty J. Lampkin, 82, of Bluffton, died Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at her home. She was born September 30, 1932, in Appleton, to William Newton and Macie Geneva Webb Kelley. She was the former plant manager secretary for Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in Russellville, and a Methodist.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Geral Edward Kelley and Edgar Lyle Kelley; and three sisters, Opal Duvall, Alta Reynolds and Alma Kelley.

Survivors include her husband, Hoyt Lampkin; two step-sons, Byron Lampkin and Chris Lampkin; a step-daughter, Lisa Shelby; five step-grandchildren, Alexandra Lampkin, Ashton Lampkin, Savanna Shelby, Mollie Shelby and Joseph Shelby.

The funeral service was 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at the Bluffton United Methodist Church, with burial in Bluffton Cemetery, by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. Dewey W. Lampkin, 66, a retired cattleman and farmer of near Belleville, died Sunday, June 21, en route to a hospital in Danville.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Verna Lampkin; a son, Hoyt Lampkin of Little Rock; three daughters, Mrs. Alene White of Huntsville, Ala., Miss Lila Lampkin of Little Rock and Mrs. Ruby Richardson of Auburn, Ala.; four brothers, Austin Lampkin of McGehee, Robert Lampkin of San Antonio, Tex., Perry Lampkin of Belleville and Fred Lampkin of Detroit; three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Apple and Mrs. Willie Moudy of Havana and Mrs. Melvin Payne of Rives, Mo.; and seven grandchildren.

Maude Lampkin, age 81, of Ola, died October 7, 2004 at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, AR.

She was the widow of Fred Lampkin and preceded in death by a step son, Bobby Lampkin.

Survivors include a step-son, Donnie Lampkin of Rector; two step daughters, Anna Jo Bonner of Gadsden, AL and Fonda Bacino, of Rockford, IL.

DANVILLE - Perry Thomas Lampkin, age 80, of Danville died Thursday, November 20, 1986 at Yell County Hospital. He was a native of Tennessee, a retired farmer and son of the late Thomas and Allie Brown Lampkin.

Mrs. Allie Lampkins, age 80, died on March 14, 1954. She was married to T. C. Lampkins on January 4, 1885. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband; five sons, Dewey and Perry of Belleville, Austin of Arkansas City, Robert of San Antonio, Texas and Fred of Detroit, Mich.; three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Apple and Mrs. Willie Moudy of Belleville and Mrs. Melvin Payne of Reeves, Mo.; 30 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Lampkins, Anna Jo (Hatfield)

Anna Jo Hatfield Lampkins, 94, of Dardanelle, Ark. passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Dardanelle Nursing Center. She was born February 10, 1919, in Yell County to Will and Etta Hatfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Wilburn Taylor and Edwin L. Lampkins; son, Bill Taylor; grandson, Craig Taylor; granddaughter, Judy Taylor; two brothers and five sisters.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Ed and Barbara Taylor of Danville; daughter and son-in-law Martha and Ron Merritt of Dardanelle; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Dardanelle Church of Christ; a member of the Home Extension Service having been an active member for 50 years; a leader with the Girls Scouts of America receiving a 10 year Leaders Award; 4-H Leader; and she was particularly proud that she and her late husband, Leo, were once named Yell County Farm Family of the Year. One of her favorite activities was participating in the Yell County Fair where she received many blue ribbons for her canned goods and flowers.

A graveside service was held at 10:30 AM, Monday, February 24, 2014 at Brearley Cemetery. Pastor Chris George will officiate. Edwin Leo Lampkins, age 87 of Dardanelle, died Friday, December 02, 2005 at Dardanelle Hospital. He was born November 20, 1918 at Yell County, AR to the late Charles R. and Dorothy Corbin Lampkins.

He is preceded in death by step-son, Bill Taylor step-grandson, Craig "Fuzzy" Taylor.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Anna Jo Lampkins of Dardanelle; step son and wife, Ed and Barbara Taylor of Danville; step daughter and husband, Martha and Ronald Merritt of Dardanelle; step-grandchildren, Mark, Chris and Mike Merritt, Judy Taylor, Linda Robinson, Brad Taylor, and Sherri Rial; fifteen great, grandchildren and three great -great grandchildren.

Lampkins, Syble (Haire)

Syble Lampkins of Camarillo, California passed from this life on December 19, 2011, at the age of 95, while surrounded by her family at home.

She was preceded in death by Dayton Lampkins, her husband of 62 years. On August 4, 1916, Syble was born in Belleville, Arkansas to Haywood and Laura Haire.

She had four brothers and two sisters, including one surviving brother, Ted Haire of Visalia, California. She is also survived by her two children, Lowell Lampkins of Ventura, and Janice Clark of Camarillo; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Syble was a devoted wife and mother whose family was always her first priority. She continually placed their needs and wishes over and above her own. She was always there giving encouragement and support, and will forever be remembered and loved for the gift that she was to her family. She was a poultry grower and a homemaker. She was a member of the Valley Home Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Hill.

David "Bud" William Lancaster, age 55, of Plainview, AR died Thursday, July 26, 2001 at the VA Regional Medical Center at Little Rock, AR. He was born January 31, 1946 at Morgantown, W. V. to Frank and Ann Strickler Lancaster. He was an aviation mechanic with the U. S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one sister, Nora Lea Lancaster.

Lancaster, James Frank

James Frank Lancaster, 78, of Plainview, AR, died Saturday, December 23, 2006 at St. Joseph Mercy Health Center in Hot Springs, AR. He was the son of John and Lola Flewellen Lancaster; he was born March 26, 1928 in Plainview, AR. He married Marie Johnson, on September 19, 1990 at Hollis, AR. He retired from the United States Navy after 23 years of service. He served during WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He also retired from Fisher Lime Cement after 17 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son James David Lancaster; first wife Ann Lancaster; one granddaughter Tina Fatheree.

Terry Joe Lancaster, 51, of Hollis, AR, died Sunday, August 2, 2009 in Hollis, AR. The son of Othel and Anna Mae Hill Lancaster, he was born May 25, 1958 in Hot Springs, AR. He was a graduate of Pine Bluff Vo-Tech in Cabinet Making, a lifelong member of Northern Wildlife Federation and a charter member of South Fourche Hunting Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his paternal & maternal grandparents and mother, Anna Mae Lancaster.
