Thelma Lee Turic, age 69, of West Memphis, AR died November 5, 2002 in Crittenden Memorial Hospital. She was self-employed with a home daycare.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Turic and a son, Larry Michael Turic.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Joyce Turic of West Memphis, AR, Paula Anderson of Memphis, TN; a son, Curtis Turic of Dardanelle, AR; a sister, Mary Nell Esque of Memphis, TN; brothers, Wayne Curtright of West Memphis, AR, Bobby Curtright of Big Bear Lake, TN; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.

Turnbough, Dallas

Dallas Turnbough, age 30 of Centerville, AR died Thursday, June 2, 2005 at his home. He was born September 29, 1948, the son of the late Robert and Ellar Barnes Turn-bough in Lepanto, AR. He was a construction worker.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carrie Turnbough and a sister, Jewel Clark.

He is survived by one daughter, Amanda Martin of Russellville, AR; one son, Jimmy Turnbough of Russellville, AR; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Hubert Turnbough, Council Bluff, IA and Frankie Turnbough of Pottsville, AR; three sisters, Ruby Clark, Pottsville, AR, Bulah Wise, Centerville, AR and Paulette McVay, Plumberville, AR.

Turnbow, Johnie Butler

Johnie Butler Turnbow, age 82, of Centerville, died Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born November 25, 1927, at Russellville to Bill and Bernice Terrill Turnbow.

Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Lucille Turnbow of Centerville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Suzy Turnbow of Pottsville and Johnie Butler Turnbow, Jr. and his wife Cindy of Centerville; grandchildren, Barry and Kristin Turnbow April and John Girvin Lindsay and Andrew Clark, Chelsey Simpson, twins, Katlyn and Kolyn Turnbow, and Chloe Turnbow; five great-grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends.

Turner, Ada Essie

Ada Essie Turner, age 88, of Havana, AR, died Thursday, August 25, 2005 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. She was born August 8, 1917 in Havana to the late Martin and Reola Quesenbury Foster. She was a homemaker and mother, a member of the Havana Presbyterian Church, the Havana EH Club and a former 4-H leader.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Vestal, Hoyt and Oresta Foster two sisters, Zelta Sturdy and Fay Tygart.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Lawrence Turner one son, Larry Turner of Lonoke, AR a brother, M.B. Foster of Havana, AR a sister, Helen White of El Dorado, AR five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Service was Sunday at the Havana Presbyterian Church with Rev. Phillip Sturdy and Rev. Floyd Sheppard officiating. Interment was in the Havana Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville, AR. Bernice Turner, age 92, of Ola, died Friday at her home. A daughter of the late Emerson Etheridge and Murtle Vail Lockhart Sloan, she was born November 7, 1906 at Wing. She was the widow of Samuel John Turner.

She is survived by a son and daughter in law, Sammy Charles and Cherry Turner of Ola; a daughter and son in law, Loucinda and Robert Buford of Danville; her loving care-giver, Sandy Burnett; a brother in law, J. R. Turner of Wing; a sister in law, Ola Sloan of Plainview; two grandchildren and their spouses, Robert Scott and Tammy Kay Burford and Victoria Gail and Eric Lee Coffman; two great grandchildren, Aaron Lee and Zachary Charles Coffman.

Turner, Betty Gay

Betty Gay Turner, age 74, of Fayetteville, AR passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2007 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born September 12, 1932 in Chula, AR to the late Edison and Lillian Kilgore. She attended Arkansas Tech University where she met and married Charles Lindberg Turner. She enjoyed a career in social services.

She is preceded in death by an infant twin sister, Eva Faye Kilgore, a brother Bruce Lynn Kilgore, mother-in-law, Beulah Turner and a brother-in-law, Jim Rohrbach.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Turner; two sisters, Rowena Sue McKay of Lowell, AR and Nidra Ann Rohrbach of Fayetteville, AR; a son Mike Turner; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jan and Steve Korbe and Sandy and Cory Ward; a special niece Michelle Turner; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and their families and many friends.

Service will be today, Wednesday, June 5, 2007 at 10 a. m. at Central United Methodist Church on Dickson Street. Turner, Buell

Buell Turner, age 88 years old of Wing, AR. died Monday, October 23, 1995 at Chambers Memorial Hospital. He was the retired Postmaster for the Wing Post Office and retired store keeper, retiring in 1972. He was a native of Wing, Arkansas, and was a son of the late John Raney Turner and the late Effie Pike Woolbright Turner. He was a 32nd Degree Mason with the Plainview Lodge, and was on the Fourche Valley School Board representing the Wing area for many years, at the end of his term, the school board had no outstanding debts. He attended the Wing Community Church, and was always willing the help people.

He is survived by his wife, Edith Turner; one brother, J. R. Turner of Wing; six nephews and one niece Robert Miles Buford of Fort Smith; Jimmy Buell Buford and Donald Ray Buford, both of Ola; James A. Turner of Guam; John E. Turner of Louisville, Kentucky; Loucinda Buford of Danville; and Sammy C. Turner of Ola.

Services will be at 2 p. m. Thursday, October 26, 1995 at Wing Community Church at Wing, Arkansas. Burial will be at the Turner Memorial Cemetery, Wing, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be his nephews. Charles Raymond Turner, age 96, of Lepanto, AR died Thursday, April 11, 2002 at St. Bernard Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. He was born January 26, 1906 in Lake City, AR. He was a retired farmer and of the Pentecostal faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Effie Turner.

Fay Turner, age 94, of Barling, AR died Friday, January 16, 2004 in Fort Smith, AR. He was a carpenter and farmer, an avid hunter and fisherman and he attended Wing Community Church in Wing, AR.

Grace E. Turner age 84 of Dardanelle, died Tuesday, November 9, 2003 at her home in Dardanelle. She was born July 12, 1919 in Dardanelle to the late J. D. Sr. and Jessie Moore Turner. She retired after twenty-seven years from Tasty-Bird in Dardanelle which is now Tyson. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Dardanelle and was preceded in death by a brother, J. D. Turner, Jr. and a sister, May R. Turner.

Survivors are a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and John Parker of Dardanelle; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Elsie Turner of Russellville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorene and Joe Storment and Margaret and John Ed Vestal all of Dardanelle; granddaughter and husband, Michelle and Jason Rhinehart of Delaware; special niece and husband, Kay and Robert McMullen of Dardanelle and eleven nephews and nieces and a host of cousins and friends.

Turner, James Atkinson

James Atkinson Turner, age 63, died August 1, 2000 in Agana, Guam. He was born January 17, 1937 in Wing, AR, the son of J. R. Turner and Mabel Lea Atkinson Turner. He attended Abilene Christian University at Abilene, TX was a Church of Christ minister, a public vocational school teacher and for the last 25 years was an entertainer for tourist and travel agencies in Guam. He was an accomplished musician, singer and comedian. His predominately Japanese audiences especially appreciated his particular brand of humor, and he was fluent in the Japanese language. His mother preceded him in death.

Survivors are, two sons, Jay Paul and Ty Mark Turner of Texas; his father, J. R. Turner of Wing, AR; one brother, John E. Turner of Louisville, KY.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a. m. Saturday, September 2, 2000 at the Wing Community Church in Wing, AR. Burial will be in Turner Memorial Cemetery at Wing. Juanita L. Turner, 93 of Barling, AR formerly of the Wing Community, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2010 in Barling. She was a Methodist and a homemaker.

LaRue Turner, age 72 of Rover died Tuesday, April 6, 2005 at the Dardanelle Nursing Center in Dardanelle. She was born February 21, 1933 in Rover to the late Tom and Sybil Humphreys Pugh. She was a homemaker and mother, a farmer and a member of the Rover Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard D. Turner and grandson-in-law, Steven R. McConnell.

Lawrence O. Turner, age 91 of Havana died Monday, June 23, 2008 at Mitchell Nursing Home. Born January 21, 1917 in Havana, he was the son of the late Melzer "Shorty" and Effie Apple Turner. He was the assistant area foreman and a heavy equipment operator for the Arkansas Highway Department for 28 years. He was a past member of the Havana City Council and Havana School; Board and a 32 degree Mason. He was a member of the Havana Presbyterian Church and an avid crappie fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Ada Foster Turner.

Survivors include a son, Larry Turner and wife, Marianka of Cabot; a sister, Florine Thompson of Ft. Smith; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Turner, Vurline Charles

Vurline Charles Turner, age 72, of Bluffton, AR died Friday morning, October 11, 2002 at the Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. He was born July 1, 1930, at Bay, AR, the son of Charles Raymond Turner and Effie Rouse) Turner. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and of the Pentecostal Faith. He was a member of the Redman Lodge and the Eagle Lodge and was an avid musician, who loved Blue Grass Gospel. He loved the outdoors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Eugene Turner and two sisters, Imogene Dillard and Audra Brown.

Nelda Lee Tuttle, age 38, of DeSoto, Kansas died Thursday, July 2, 1998 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Lawrence, KS. She was born November 4, 1959 in Kansas City, MO, and graduated from DeSoto High School. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Lenexa, KS.

Tygart, Bill

Bill Tygart, age 95, of Danville, died Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Mitchell Nursing Home in Danville. She was born July 30, 1912 in Plainview, Arkansas to the late William Henry and Sallie Barger Hunter. She and her husband Josh operated Tygart's General Store in Danville which was in business for over 40 years, beginning in 1930. She was a member of the Danville First Baptist Church and was an active member of the Wilson Sunday Class.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Josh Tygart; sister, Lula Love and brother, John Hunter.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Barger and Dons Tygart of Dallas; four grandchildren and spouses and ten great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Russell Cemetery in Belleville with Reverend Jamie Staley officiating. Pallbearers were A. D. She was preceded in death by a sister, Zelta Sturdy and three brothers, Vestal, Hoyt and Oresta Foster.

John Ray Tygart, age 90 of Havana, AR died Monday, June 5, 2000 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Morrilton. He was born October 18, 1909 at Belleville, AR to the late Benjamin Robert and Stella Copeland Tygart. He was a retired merchant, member of the Havana Presbyterian Church, member for over 50 years of the Belleville Christian Lodge 394 and a World War II veteran.

Survivors include two sisters, Mary Buckman, Tulsa, OK and Ruby Gardner of Denver, CO and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, June 7, 2000 at 10:00 a. m. at the Havana Presbyterian Church with Rev. Floyd Shepherd and Rev. Hulon Wiser officiating. Tygart, Tommy

Tommy Tygart, age 71, of Cabot, lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 3, 2006. He was born September 19, 1934 in Woodson to the late Joe T. and Iva Lester Tygart. He lived most of his adult life in Little Rock and Cabot. He was a member of Baugh Chapel Baptist Church, a Veteran Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne U. S. Army during the Korean War and he owned and operated several businesses. He's DX in Little Rock, John and Andy's Cafe in Little Rock and Cabot Carpet Cleaners. He was a Little League Coach at the Jr. Deputy Baseball Complex in the early 1970's. He was a musician and songwriter and recorded songs in Nashville, TN. He wrote four songs that are copyrighted with BMI. One song went to 2 in Denmark and one song 5 on the Foreign Charts.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one niece, Dana Coney.

Survivors include his loving wife, Phyllis McClure Tygart of the home; son, Jody and Melissa Tygart; daughter Amanda and Scott Johnson; grandson, Adin Thomas Tygart and granddaughter, Hannah Avery Johnson all of Cabot; three brothers, Billy Tygart of Woodson, R. L. Tygart, Shirley and Sam Tygart of Hensley; three sisters, Aline Stone of Little Rock, Priscilla Carlton of Woodson and Macele Howard of Hensley; several nieces, nephews and many other family and friends.

Tygart, Wilma L. Black

Wilma L. Black Tygart, age 68 of Havana, AR, formerly of Dardanelle, AR passed away Tuesday, July 15, 1997 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was born February 12, 1929 in Dunbar, OK. She was self employed and a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Tygart of Havana; a son, James Black of Dardanelle; a daughter, Sandy Edwards of Springdale, AR; a brother, James Casinger of CA; a sister, Sue O'Bryant of Little Rock; three grandsons, James L. Black of Belle Vista, AR, and Chad and Danny Hipps both of Russellville, AR; a granddaughter, Kim McDaniels of Russellville and three great grandsons, Hayden Hipps of Russellville and Joey and Justin McDaniels both of Russellville.

Funeral services was July 18 at the Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with burial at the Havana Cemetery in Havana, AR. Pallbearers were Travis McDaniels, Sammy Dennis, Chuck Dennis, Lynn Walker, Danny Hipps, Chad Hipps and James Black.
