Kendrick, Allie Aikman

Mrs. Allie Aikman Kendrick, age 84, died Sunday, November 18, 1990 at DeQueen, AR. She was a native of Bluffton, AR, a Christian and a homemaker.

Survivors are four sons, Harold, Gilbert and Tony of Cerrogardo, AR and Aikman who is in the armed services; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Kendrick, Bill

Bill Kendrick, age 56, of Napa Valley, Calif., formerly of Russellville, died Wednesday, August 15, 1984 at Napa Valley. He was a retired roofer. He was the son of the late Lon and Pearl Kendrick.

Survivors include three sons, Johnny Ray Kendrick of Harrison, Ronnie Eugene Kendrick of Dallas, Texas, and Lonnie Clyde "Bimbo" Kendrick of Sweethome, Ore.; four daughters, Sandra Lee Smith of Denver, Colo., Betty Jan Rasor of Dallas, and Sheila and Becky Kendrick of Fort Smith; four brothers, Robert Kendrick and Jack Kendrick of Dardanelle and Franklin Dee Kendrick and J. W. Kendrick, both of Van Buren; four sisters, Mrs. Gobel (Beulah) Nunnly of Dardanelle, Mrs. Ronal (Mary) Austin of Russellville, Mrs. Gene (Vera Mae) Goates of Ukiah, Calif. and Mrs. Jack (Faye) Young of Cloverdale, Calif. and 12 grandchildren.

Kendrick, Clarice Rhoades

Clarice Rhoades Kendrick, age 90, of Plainview, formally of Springdale, died Friday, February 6, 2004 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. She was born in Gravelly, Arkansas on August 25, 1913 daughter of the late George and Lou Stone Rhoades. She was retired sales clerk for J. C. Penny's in Tulsa, OK and a member of the First Baptist Church in Springdale.

She was preceded in death by Norman Kendrick and a brother, Herman Rhoades.

Survivors include two daughters, Nina Springston of Farmington, AR and Etta Maddux of Broken Bow, OK; a sister, Nina Vedder of Wichita, KA and a brother, Junior Rhoades of Bluffton; sister-in-law, Emma Rhoades of Benton; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Kendrick, Edgar Lee

Edgar Lee Kendrick, age 80, died Friday, December 28, 1984 at his home in McGehee. A native of Yell County, he had farmed in Desha County for the past fifty years. He was a charter member of both Rankins Chapel Baptist Church of Dumas and the Chickasaw Baptist Church of McGehee.

Survivors are his wife, Eva Daniels Kendrick; a daughter, Norma L. Reed of McGehee; two brothers, Erskin Kendrick of Dumas, and Pat Kendrick of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four sisters, Eva Gray of Modesto, California, Mae Daniels of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Janice Haley of Edenburg, Texas, and Sadie Thomas of Allen, Texas; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Ellie E. Kendrick, age 80, of Cerrogorda died Friday, May 24, 1985. He was a cattleman, farmer, a Mason, and a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Allie Aikman Kendrick; four sons, Harold, Aikman, Tony of Cerrogorda and Gilbert of LA; one brother, Owen Kendrick of Dumas; one sister, Eulene Potter of Dumas; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Kendrick, Erskin

Erskin Kendrick, 89, of Dumas, formerly of Yell County departed this life May 20, 2005 in Little Rock, AR. He was born at Bluffton, A Ron October 11, 1915 to the late Edward Albert and Edna Weems Kendrick. He was a Baptist member of the Omage Lodge #547, he also was a retired machinist.

He was preceded in death by His wife, Marvell Kirtley Kendrick.

Survivors include three sons, Bob Kendrick of Savanah, OK, Dan Kendrick of Bluffton, AR and James Kendrick of St. Charles, AR; two daughters, Annette Farmer of Graceland, AR and Katherine Maxwell of Crossett, AR; 11 grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Services were held on May 24, 2005 in the Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Dumas with Rev. Heath officiating, burial was in Walnut Lake Cemetery. Memorials may be made to donors choice of charity. Kendrick, Eugene

Funeral for Eugene Kendrick, age 47, of Danville, who died November 1, 1985 was Thursday with arrangements by Cornwell Funeral Home.

He was an employee of the Enforcement Division of the Game & Fish Commission stationed in the Dardanelle area and was a member of the Arkansas Peace Officers Association. He was a World War II veteran and was a member of the American Legion the Disabled American Veterans and the First Baptist Church.

Eunice Elene Gwin Kendrick, age 92, of Danville passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Mitchell's Nursing Home. She was born June 11, 1924 in Gravelly, Arkansas to the late Cecil & Lula Hunnicutt Gwin. She was a secretary for the Arkansas Health Department. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Eugene Kendrick; daughter, Peggy Kendrick Pickens; brothers Loy and Troy Gwin; sisters Allie Douthit and Beatrice Garner Yeats; son-in-law, Joe Michael.

Survivors include her daughter, Lynda Kendrick Michael of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren, Bill Wade (Kathy) of Bentonville; Todd Michael (Tysa) of Rogers; Phil Michael (Rebecca) Of Gilbert, AZ; Wyndie Wade Campbell (Scott) of Peyton, CO; Cindy Powers Conley (Kelly) of Perryville; 13 great-grandchildren.

DARDANELLE - Herman Kendrick, age 70, of Dardanelle died Thursday, January 31, 1985 at Dardanelle Hospital. He was a native of the Bradley Cove community in Pope County, a car salesman, son of the late Elish and Molley Kendrick, and a member of First Assembly of God Church in Russellville.

Kendrick, James Harold

James Harold Kendrick, age 88, died Tuesday, April 1, 2015, in Dade City, Florida. He was born to Ellie and Allie Aikman Kendrick in Bluffton, Arkansas, on September 23, 1926. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War, having served in the U. S. Army. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, in September of 1988. He was also a rancher, which was his passion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Gene Kendrick, Billy Joe Kendrick, and Gilbert Kendrick, and his wife, Ingeburg Maria Kendrick.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Birgit Metzner, and James H., Jr. and Brenda Kendrick, two daughters and a son-in-law, Suzann Marie Leavor, and Tracy and Scott Frachiseur, six grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was born November 25, 1917 at Yell County to the late Lon and Pearl Brown Kendrick. He was of the Assembly of God Faith. He loved fishing, going to garage sales, auctions, his Skoal, and willing and dealing anything and everything.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Robert, Dutch and Bill Kendrick; one sister, Beula Nunley.

Kenny Kendrick, 41, of Russellville died Monday, July 15, 2013, at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton. He was born May 21, 1972, at Danville to Albert Merion and Nell Jones Kendrick.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Tony Jones.

Survivors include his mother, Nell Jones Kendrick; a brother, Tim Jones of Russellville; and Tim's fianc e, Shirl Gooden of Dover.

Marie Edith Cooper Kendrick, age 90 of Dardanelle, died Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville. Born July 4, 1916 in Roy, NM she was the daughter of the late Clarence Otis Sr. and Lizzie Hickle Hoskins. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and special friend to many. She was a member of the Dardanelle Church of Christ and had just retired from Cornwell Funeral Home in Dardanelle.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Cooper and Herman Kendrick, a daughter-in-law, Sue Riley, three brothers, Albert Hoskins, Alfred Hoskins, and Clarence Hoskins, Jr. and a sister, Gladys Pearson.

Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law; Clifton Riley of Dayton, TX, Kenneth and Judith Cooper of Zepher Hills, FL; a daughter, Carolyn Cornwell of Danville; sister-in-law, Grace Hoskins of Tucumcari, NM; six grandchildren and spouses, Darrell and Lynn Riley both of Dayton, TX, Michaelle and Lance Wilkins of Danville, Allison Cornwell of Little Rock, Ashley and Dr. Brent Gregg of Conway, and Michael Rush Cornwell, Jr. of Little Rock; five great-grandchildren, Brett Lee, Carlee Grace and Jarrett Lee Wilkins all of Danville, Anna Caroline and Samuel Andrew Gregg both of Conway; and a very special and dear friend, Jim Prochazka of Dardanelle.

Mrs. Norma Green Kendrick, age 75, of Ola died Saturday, August 19, 1972 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was a native of Plainview, daughter of the late Joe and Mary Ann Ford Green, and was a member of the Kingston Home Demonstration Club and the Salem United Methodist Church.

Rayburn "Pat" Kendrick, age 90, of Russellville died Thursday, December 4, 2003. He was born August 19, 1913, at Crow Mountain in Pope County, Arkansas to the late Allen Young and Ophelia Kendrick Morphis. He was a cattle farmer and a member of the Pottsville Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Mae Kendrick; 2 sons, Bob Kendrick, Bud Kendrick; a daughter, Linda M. Sparks; and a grandson, Barry Kendrick.

Survivors include a son, Ray Kendrick of Russellville; 8 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Shirley Ann Kendrick, age 57, of Dardanelle, AR died Tuesday, August 4, 1998 at her home. She was born January 1, 1941 at Bessemer City, NC to Uria and Susan Mitchell Costner. She was the widow of Jim Kendrick, a LPN, and a member of the Dardanelle Missionary Baptist Church.

Surviving are four daughters and three sons-in-law, Donna and Jerry Jones of Austin, TX, Linda and Glenn Coyle of Memphis, TN, Laura and Joe Baugh and Sandra Bench of Russellville; three brothers, Earl Bowen, Jack Costner and Clyde Costner of Bessemer City, NC; two sisters, May Heavener of Gastonia, NC and Lena Freeman of Hampton, VA and six grandchildren.

Tommy Edward Kendrick, age 58, of Gravelly, AR, formerly of Benton, AR, died Thursday, July 24, 1997 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was born Bluffton, AR December 18, 1938 son of the late Othel Kendrick. He was a rancher.

Mrs. Zetta Kendrick, age 82, of Dumas died Saturday, July 18, 1992 at Delta Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of the late John E. and Mary Jane Hutchinson Hill, a member of First Baptist Church of Dumas and Women's Missionary Union.

Kennedy, A. J. "Al"

A. J. "Al" Kennedy, Jr., age 78 of Danville, AR died Wednesday at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was born September 2, 1926 in Greenwood to the late A. J. Sr. and Dessa Moore Kennedy. He was a county extension agent for 32 years, and retired after serving 20 of those years as the Yell County agent. After retirement, he taught agriculture at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. He was a WWII Army veteran and a member of the United Methodist Church in Danville.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Larene Linn Kennedy, a brother, Robert Kennedy, and two sisters, Nan Kennedy and Katherine Hill.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Melanie Kennedy of Russellville, and Tom and Kristi Kennedy of Little Rock; a daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Danny Jones of Magazine; a twin brother, Cal Kennedy of Greenwood; six grandchildren, Kara Jones Binz of England, Robert Jones, John Kennedy and Jim Kennedy, all of Little Rock, and Hannah and Hatley Kennedy, both of Little Rock.

Services were held Friday, at the United Methodist Church in Danville with Rev. David Hawkins officiating. Interment was in Earl Ladd Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home, Danville. A. M. "Dump" Kennedy, Jr. 81, of Havana died Sunday at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. Born December 22, 1924, in Rogers, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Artemus Montgomery, Sr. and Pearl Mott Kennedy. He was a member of the Assembly of God, WWII Navy veteran, and a longtime fox and coyote hunter.

Katheren Dale Kennedy, age 81, passed away January 13, 2015.

Born April 4, 1933, she was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur W. Kennedy and Blanche Kennedy George; one brother, Allen Kennedy; three sisters, Lyda Ellis and husband PJ Ellis, Jeanie Gaddis and Elsie Lee Turner.

She is survived by a sister, Carol Jean Kennedy Thacker; one brother-in-law, David Gaddis and many nieces and nephews. Katheren resided many years at the Pathfinder Home in Jacksonville before she had to go to the nursing home in 2012. She loved the girls at the Pathfinder Home very much and loved her work there.

Lorene Linn Kennedy, age 79, of Danville, AR died Monday, October 6, 2003 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. She was born in Morganton, AR on November 23, 1923 daughter of the late S. She was a graduate of Arkansas State Teachers College, she retired after 33 years of teaching, she was a member of the Danville United Methodist Church and the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Ray Kennedy, age 58, of Dardanelle went to Heaven Monday, September 24, 2007. He was a born December 12, 1948 at Oklahoma City, OK to the late Truman and Violet Fryer Kennedy. He was a Marine Veteran and retired from Tyson in Dardanelle where he was a truck driver for 17 years.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Kennedy.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Kathleen Kennedy of Dardanelle; son, Dustin Kennedy of Dardanelle; two step children, SGT. Robert Campbell and wife Miho Campbell of Japan, and Misty Campbell of Jefferson City, TN.
