Luker, Arthur Lee

Arthur Lee Luker, age 89 of Rover died Monday, June 2, 1986 at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Rover Baptist Church.

Survivors include, one son, Bill Luker of Route 1 Ola, five brothers, Jack Luker, Bill Luker, Alvie Luker, Floyd Luker and Hugh Luker all of Oklahoma City, OK, nine sisters, Alice Cathey of Danville, Lillian McCurry of Plain-view, Ruby McCurry of Dumas, Velma Jean Welch of Quanal, TX, Naomi Stewart, Annie Mae Evans and Joyce Thompson all of Norman, OK, Ruby Ellen Moore and Versal Denton both of Oklahoma City, OK.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p. m. Thursday, June 5 at Rover Baptist Church with Rev. R. L. Whitten officiating. Interment will be in Hunt Chapel Cemetery. Luker, Audrey M.

Audrey M. Luker, age 82, of Ola, AR died Friday, July 27, 2001 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. She was born May 9, 1919 in Mt. Carmel, IL to the late Henry and Leoria Seaton Belcher. She was a mother and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Belcher, Jr. and two sisters, Oma Seaton; and Imogene Peterson.

Survivors are her husband of 45 years, William "Bill" Luker; two sons and daughter-in-law, Glen and Beverly Luker of Mt. Carmel, IL and Scott Luker of Seattle, WA; two sisters, Olive Webber and Juanita Madden of Mt. Carmel, IL; five grandchildren and a great grandson.

Luker, Berdine

Berdine Luker, age 71 of Hobbs, NM died February 21, 1938 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. He was born on March 2, 16 in Rover, AR. He had made his home in Hobbs, NM since 1952 and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He was retired from B&M Service.

He is survived by his wife, Alice of the home; three sons, Bill Luker of Lake Isabel, CA, Joe B. Luker of Hobbs, NM and Ted Luker of Ocala, FL; one daughter, Mrs. Linda Cook of Harrisburg, AR; one brother, Ray Luker of Dumas, AR; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Bertha Alma Luker, age 86, of Plainview passed away Thursday, October 13, 2011 in Star City, AR. She was born June 16, 1925 in Bluffton, AR to the late William Thomas & Mae Tomlinson Hawkins. She was a wife, a wonderful mother and a homemaker, a Christian and a member of the Yorktown Free Will Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde E. Luker; daughters Faye Henley and Kay James both of Garrett Bridge, AR; grandson Lance James; brothers Robert and Lyle Hawkins.

Survivors include sons, Clifford Luker of Onyx, AR, Kenneth Luker of Star City, AR, Danny Luker of Star City, AR; daughters, Carolyn Vanzandt of Fort Smith, AR, Emy Conner and Velma Hunter of Star City, AR, Frances Roberts of Plainview, AR and Cindy Day of Dardanelle, AR; 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Thomas Hawkins of Dumas, AR; sisters, Bonnie Cooper of Russellville, AR; and Euthadene Cooper of California.

Clyde Eugene Luker, age 67 of Rover, died Tuesday, May 20, 1986 at the Yell County Hospital in Danville. Mr. Luker was a native of Bluffton, son of the late N. F. (Bert) and Attie L. Luker. He was a member of the Rover Baptist Church and a World War II veteran.

Luker, Doyle

Local Man and Companion Killed by Falling Boom -- Doyle Luker, of Little Rock formerly of Plainview and Sidney James Jr., North Little Rock were killed Tuesday afternoon when a boom of a crane fell and crushed them.

Luker was a veteran of World War II, serving as an aviation ordinance man in the Pacific. He entered the service in May 1940 and received his discharge in May 1946, having earned 13 battle stars in the Pacific. Luker's only brother was killed in the Pearl Harbor attach. She was the widow of Grady Luker and the daughter of the late Will and Georgeann Benefield Allen. She was a member of the Bluffton Baptist Church, a homemaker and a retired employee of the State of Arkansas.

Tracy Allen Lunsford, age 37, of Ola, AR died Monday, July 31, 2000 in Lancaster, TX. He was born January 21, 1963 in Morrilton, AR. He was a 1982 graduate of Ola High School, had served in the Army and the 153rd Arkansas Army National Guard Unit, Danville, AR. He was a millwright contractor, and worked for Cryogenic Fab and Tech Inc.

He was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Dennis Lunsford and David Lewis and a grandmother, Lillie Davenport Lewis.

Survivors include his parents, Wayne and Pat Lewis of Ola, AR; a son, Tracy Allen Lunsford II of Dardanelle, AR; his grandmother, Laverne Lunsford of Danville, AR; two brothers and a sister-in-law, John Lewis and Phillip and Brenda Lewis all of Ola, AR; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Dixie Lewis of Ola, Melissa and Brent Durgin of Iowa, Carolyn and Michael Mullins of Ola, Thresa Mullins of Dardanelle, AR, Debbie Rager of Ola, Melissa and Brent Via of Ola; two uncles, Dean Lunsford of Danville and Lee Lunsford of Dardanelle; an aunt, Mae Lunsford of Dardanelle; several nephews and nieces, great uncles and aunts, and a very special friend, Shari Vines and a world of other friends.

Lusby, Dubert

Dubert Lusby, age 84, of Dardanelle, formerly of Amarillo, TX died Wednesday, January 14, 1987 at St. Mary's Hospital in Russellville. He was a retired salesman and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include one grandson, Joseph Lusby of Denver, CO and two half brothers, Courtney Lusby and Paul Lusby both of Tulsa, OK.

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 17 at Danville Church of Christ with Bro. A. f. Oliver and Bro. Robert Dunaway officiating. Interment was in Old Danville Cemetery. HAVANA - Funeral services for Mrs. Eva M. James Lusk, age 70, who died October 17, 1980 at the University Hospital, Little Rock, were at 2 p. m. October 20 in the First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ira Bass Lusk, aged 68, of Havana Rt. 1, died at the Yell County Hospital Saturday, February 10. He was a farmer.

Johnie Mae Lusk, age 73, of Richmond, CA died April 23, 1997 in a Pinole Hospital. She was a native of Havana but had been a resident of Rickmond for 47 years. She was a homemaker for the past 54 years.

Luttrell, Frank Truman

Frank Truman Luttrell, age 80, a resident of Ola, AR died Tuesday, September 22, 1998 at Yell County Nursing Home at Ola. He was born on March 5, 1918 at Casa, AR to Timothy and Josie Elizabeth Hambright Luttrell. He was an Army Veteran of WWII and a member of the Harmony Free Will Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Calvin Luttrell, Bill Luttrell and Theodore Luttrell; two sisters, Faitha Alexander and Ollie Parks.

Luttrell, James Edward

James Edward Luttrell, age 44, of Russellville, formerly of Plainview died Monday. He was born November 11, 1957 in Danville, Arkansas. He was the son of the late Frank T. and Nola Pearl Potts. He was a veteran serving 12 years in the Navy.

Survivors include his daughter, Leevie M. Ewer and granddaughters, Kimberly and Kaitlyn Ewer, all of Cornelius, Oregon; two stepsons, Kendall and Brent Reagan of Lakeside, CA; sister, Abbie McCain of Ola, AR; stepsisters, Nola Flannagan of Candler, NC, Margie McGavran of Russellville, and Ellen Reed of Orange, Texas; stepbrother, Robert Meriweather of Plainview; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim is well remembered for his kindness to others and generosity to all.

Mrs. Martha McOsker Lyford, age 45, of RUSSELLVILLE, wife of Dr Joe H. Lyford Jr. died Friday;(10-15-1982) Mrs. Lyford was a graduate of Hendrix College and a member of the P. E. O. Sisterhood, Russellville Culture and All Saints Episcopal Church.

She loved attending Silver Sneakers at Saint Mary's Wellness and Fitness Center. She was past president of the New Blaine VFW Women's Auxiliary, she loved people and never met a stranger.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carolan "Smokey" Lynch; three sisters, Ann Wilson, Josephine Heaps, Mary Balloun; three brothers, Tony Klober, Van Klober, Frank Klober.

Survivors include two daughters, Judy S. Descant of Bunkie, Louisiana, Peggy Kerin and husband Douglas of Russellville; six grandchildren, Debra D. Parker of Alexandria, Louisiana, Derek Descant of Pineville, Louisiana, Terri D. Fletcher of Bunkie, Louisiana, Amber D. Riddle of Metairie, Louisiania, Mark Wiseman of Gravelly, AR, Meghan Kerin of Russellville, AR; three great grandchildren, Marlee Hardy of Bunkie, Louisiana, J.D. Descant Jr. of Pineville, Louisiana, John Edward Parker of Alexandria, Louisiania. Lynch, Freddie Ray "Bear"

Freddie Ray "Bear" Lynch, 60, of Booneville, Arkansas, passed from this life Sunday, June 1, 2014 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born February 19, 1954 in Booneville, Arkansas. He was a retired tool and die supervisor at Whirlpool in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was a former member of the Arkansas Army National Guard and the Parkview Baptist Church in Booneville and The Booneville Lion's Club where he served as the First Vice District Governor 71 and was the former President of the Booneville Lion's Club. He enjoyed going to car shows, fishing, drag racing, golf, but most of all spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Louetta Hamilton; step- father, Willie Hamilton and step- mother, Joyce Lynch.

Funeral services were scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Wednesday. June 4, 2014 at the Parkview Baptist Church in Bonneville with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Booneville, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
