Kirby, Hetty M.

Hetty M. Kirby, age 91, a resident of Russellville, AR, formerly of London, AR, died Saturday, December 4, 1999 at Russellville Nursing Center at Russellville, AR. She was born on February 6, 1908 at London, AR to William and Texann Kyker Pless. She retired as an employee at the hospital as a cafeteria cashier. She was the widow of the late Maurice Kirby. She was a member of the London Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by, her parents; a son, Leroy Kirby; a daughter, Betty Carey; a stepson, Virgil Kirby; five brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include, two sons and daughter-in-law, Robert Cochran of Dardanelle, AR and William and Nancy Cochran of Russellville, AR; nine grand children; many great and great-great grandchildren; five step daughters; one sister, Pauline Isley of Morrilton, AR and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was December 7, 1999 at the London Assembly of God Church officiated by Rev. Jerry Schlinker. Burial was at the Price Cemetery at London, AR under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Kirk, Georgia Lee (Herzfeld)

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK -- GEORGIA LEE KIRK, 80, Midwest City, died Saturday, May 25, 1996. She was born April 5, 1916 in Yell County, AR to Ferdinand and Ada (Horton) Herzfeld. She was a homemaker. She married Kyle Kirk on July 7, 1934 in Okmulgee, OK.

She is survived by 4 sons, Kyle Kirk of Choctaw, Allen Kirk of Midwest City, Norman Kirk of Oklahoma City, and Larry Kirk of Arcadia; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was a member of I00F Rebecca Lodge No. 151 of Del City for over 40 years.

Kirk, Hugh E.

Dr. Hugh E. Kirk, age 81, of Waveland, AR passed away Friday, February 7, 1997 at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville, AR. He was a retired physician for Hughs Aircraft Company of California. He was a WWII Army Veteran, member of the Belleville Christian Lodge 394 and the Scottish Rite in Fort Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Kirk of Lawrence, KS; a brother, Maurice Kirk of Tucson, AZ; and a sister, Bernadine Kirk Sandlin of Scottsdale, AZ.

Kirkland, Letha O.

Letha O. Kirkland, age 92, a longtime resident of Casa Grande, AZ, died August 21, 1998 at Desert Valley Care Center in Casa Grande. She was born March 1, 1906 in Plainview, AR. She and her family moved to Casa Grande in 1942 because of her ill health. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Southern Baptist Church. Her husband, Sherwood preceded her in death in 1972.

She is survived by two sons, Wilbur and Dennis both of Casa Grande; five daughters, Billie Burroughs of Phoenix, Shirley Winberry of Hesperia, CA, Euda Rainey of Paris, TX, Mildred Williams of Hugo, OK and Sue Seaton of Houston; a sister, Lessie Crabill of Decatur, IL; 14 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Kirkpatrick, Garland Parnell

Garland Parnell Kirkpatrick, 85, passed away peacefully in Houston, TX on February 21, 2014. He was a former resident of Jonesboro and Beebe Arkansas. Born January 16, 1929, in Rover, Yell County, Arkansas, he was the son of Martha Dona Burruss and Walter Clinton Kirkpatrick.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Alva Marie Hogan. Garland began a 50 year banking career at Peoples National Bank in Little Rock in 1947. In 1952, he and his wife Wilma moved to Jonesboro and through the years he was associated with First National Bank, Mercantile Bank, Bank of Nettleton and Pulaski Bank & Trust of Little Rock. His greatest business accomplishment was organizing the First State Bank of Beebe which was granted its charter in 1981. In addition to banking, Garland acquired Town & Country Insurance Agency-Jonesboro and was owner/executive broker of Arkansas Real Estate & Insurance-Beebe. Garland retired in 1997. Through his life, Garland was actively involved in many civic and charitable organizations and committed to community service wherever he lived. Lions Club, Elks Club, Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club, United Way, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital & Northeast Arkansas Mental Health Association were dear to him. He proudly served on the Arkansas State University-Beebe Development Council and many other associations.

Garland is survived by his wife of 65 years, Wilma Marie Russell Kirkpatrick, two daughters, Marilyn (Mrs. Vince Lyden) of Cypress, TX and Carolyn Watkins of Katy, TX, four grandchildren Laura Palmer, Russell Palmer, Olivia Watkins and Garland Marie Watkins, one great-grandson Hunter Hayden McCabe.

Martha Dona Burruss Kirkpatrick, age 92, of Rover, AR died Friday, February 26, 1993 at her daughters home in Harrison, AR. She was the widow of Walter C. Kirkpatrick, the daughter of the late Michael Whaley Burruss and the late Ida Elizabeth Pugh Burruss and a member of the Rover Baptist Church since 1915. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include; a son, Garland Kirkpatrick of Beebe, AR; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph A. (Marie) Hogan of Harrison, Ar; a sister, Mrs. Linuel (Ina) Green of Glendora, CA; a step-sister, Jessie Anderson of Rover, two granddaughters, Marilyn Kirkpatrick Palmer of Kingwood, TX and Carolyn Kirkpatrick Watkins of Baton Rouge, LA and three great grandchildren.

Walter C. Kirkpatrick, age 86, died at his home in Rover on Sunday, October 17, 1982. He was a retired farmer and veteran of World War I and a member of the Rover Baptist Church.

Kisling, Katherine Marie

Katherine Marie Kisling, wife of the late J. D. Kisling, Sr. went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 12, 2008 at the age of 74. She resided at the Salem Nursing and Rehab Center in Conway. Katherine was born on May 29, 1934 in McAlister, Oklahoma, daughter of Russell Paris and Oeda Marie Paris. She was a retired homemaker and loved her grandchildren.

Ms. Kisling was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brother, James L. Paris.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her daughters are Panda and Randy Horn of Conway, Jayne Kisling of Indiana, Trisha Kisling of Russellville, and Barbara Taylor of Arizona. Her sons are J. D. Kisling, Jr. of Conway, Horace Taylor of Arizona, and Monty Taylor of Arizona. She had 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren, several brothers and sisters, and many nieces and nephews.

She was the widow of Lonnie Kitchens and was also preceded in death by two brothers, Clay Miller and Clyde Miller and two sisters, Connie Bishop and Grethel Miller.

He was a native of Gravelly, AR and had lived in the Riverbank area 52 years. He retired as owner of several grocery stores in the Modesto and Ceres, CA area. He was an avid sportsman enjoying coon, bear and squirrel hunting. He played basketball for Fourche Valley High School and they won the district tournament one year. He played on the baseball team at Forester for several years. He coached for the Red Shield softball program in Modesto in the 1970's.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie Kitchens of Riverbank; children, Dairl Kitchens, Jr of Stevinson and Deloris Ann Kitchens of Riverbank; two grandsons, Harold and Dairl Kitchens of Modesto and Danielle and D.J. Kitchens also of Modesto; two brothers, Gaylon Kitchens of Mountain Home, AR and Frank Kitchens of Springdale, AR; three sisters, Estelle Wilson of Danville, AR, Margaret James of Gravelly, AR and Jo Parker of Waldron, AR.

He was preceded in death by his parents, L.A. "Mug" and Bertha Kitchens and by one brother, Lewis Kitchens, Jr.

Kitchens, Dairl David "Bud"

California--Dairl David "Bud" Kitchens, age 82, of Riverbank, California passed away Saturday, February 21, 2004 at Evergreen Rehabilitation Care in Modesto, California.

Bud was a native of Gravelly, Arkansas and lived in Riverbank for 52 years. He retired as owner of several grocery stores in the Modesto and Ceres, California area. He was an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting coon, bear and squirrel. He also enjoyed fishing and was truly at home in the outdoors. He attended Gravelly and Fouche Valley schools where he played basketball. In his last year at Fouche Valley High School his basketball team won the district tournament. He played baseball at Forester for many years. While living in California in the 1970s he was a dedicated coach for the Red Shield softball program and lead his team to many championships.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie Kitchens of Riverbank; children, Dairl Kitchens, Jr. of Stevinson, California and Deloris Ann Kitchens of Riverbank; grandchildren, Harold Kitchens and Dairl Kitchens both of Modesto, California; great grandchildren, Danielle Kitchens and DJ Kitchens both of Modesto, California; two brothers, Gaylon Kitchens of Mountain Home, Arkansas and Frank Kitchens of Springdale, Arkansas; and three sisters, Estelle Wilson of Danville, Arkansas, Margaret James of Gravelly and Jo Parker of Waldron.

Mr. Kitchens was preceded in death by his parents, LA "Mug" and Bertha Kitchens; and a brother, Lewis Andrew Kitchens, Jr.

Mrs. Elizabeth Willis Kitchens, aged 86, died in her son's home at Dumas on November 25. She spent most of her life in Gravelly and was a member the Church of God.

Kitchens, Elsie L. (Hunnicutt)

Elsie was a resident of Riverbank for many years and passed away on July 21, 2010 from complications of Pneumonia. The care she received at Valley Oak Hospital, Doctors and Staff, was excellent. They were compassionate, understanding and helpful to friends and family. Elsie was a native of Arkansas. She and her huband owned several grocery stores in the Modesto area. She was a devoted mother to her special needs daughter and a faithful friend. Elsie enjoyed fishing and gardening when time would allow. Her love of cooking is where she excelled, she was very proficient at it; her family and friends can attest to that. She was loved and respected by many and will be missed.

Elsie is survived by her son, Dairl J. "Pete'' Kitchens, daughter-in-law, Polly Kitchens, daughter, Deloris "Pam'' Kitchens, grandchildren: Ron E. Kitchens, Harold D. Kitchens and Dairl D. Kitchens, 7 great-grandchildren, 8 great great-grandchildren, brothers: Troy Hunnicutt, Alvis Hunnicutt and Delmas Hunnicutt, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents C.E. & Lulu Hunnicutt, husband Dairl D. "Bud'' Kitchens, brother Aljay Hunnicutt, sisters: Leola Wagnor and Audie, and granddaughter Cyndell R. Dambachner.

Mrs. Ethel Mae King Kitchens, age 83, of Gravelly, died Sunday, December 27, 1992 at the Dardanelle Hospital in Dardanelle, AR. She was a native of Gravelly. Daughter of the late Edgar and Lilly Wilson King, a homemaker and a mother.

Survivors include her husband, less Kitchens; three sons, Charles Kitchens of Russellville, AR, Crawford Kitchens of Donaldson, TN and Eddie Kitchens of Fort Worth, TX; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Cramer of Madison, TN; three brothers, Robert King and Leo King both of Fort Smith, AR and Cleo King of Tulsa, OK; four sisters, Louise Jones of Gravelly, AR, Miss Lula King of Ft. Smith, AR, Nadine Hiddie of Tulsa, OK and Leah Hunt of Grass Valley, CA; seven grandchildren and seven great grand-children.

Miss Etoyl Kitchens of Gravelly, died Friday, April 6, at her home. Miss Kitchens was a native of Gravelly and the daughter of the late Rev. C. C. Kitchens and Minnie Blagg Kitchens. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two brothers, Jess Kitchens of Tampa, Florida; three sisters, Mrs. Verda Seay of Alta, George, Mrs. Velma Jones of Dumas, and Syble Slater of Waldron.

James K. Kitchens, 83, died at his home in Waltreak on February 14. He was born near Waldron, was of the Primitive Baptist faith and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Kitchens, Omer Leon

Omer Leon Kitchens departed this life Wednesday, May 16, 2007 in Collinsville, OK, at the age of 85. He was born November 22, 1921, to Zelph and Laura (Woodard) Kitchens in Waltreak, AR. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1943 and served until he was honorably discharged on January 13, 1946. Omer Kitchens and Joyce Miller were united in marriage on September 26, 1941, in Danville, AR. From this union, one son was born. Omer was employed until his retirement from the United States Postal Service as a rural mail carrier. He was a member of the Bristow First Free Will Baptist Church. Omer was also a member of the Masons, the Bristow VFW, and the American Legion. He enjoyed making belt buckles, coin collecting, and collecting antiques.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joyce Kitchens of Bristow; one son, Don Kitchens and his wife, Brenda, of Broken Arrow, OK; six grandchildren, Jeffrey Kitchens, Mark Kitchens, Dustin Kitchens, Tiffany Kitchens, Meggan Banfield, and Jeremiah Banfield; two great-grandchildren, Zoe Erickson and Zane Clapp; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and five sisters.

Pauline Kitchens, 93, of Danville, died Sunday, May 17, 2015, at Mitchells Nursing Home. She was born September 24, 1921, at Walnut Tree, Arkansas, to Jethro Madison and Eula Franklin Garner.

She was a Baptist, and was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Tommie Kitchens; and all of her brothers and sisters.

Survivors include several nephews, nieces and cousins.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Dewayne Kitchens; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Trena Kitchens of Monroe, Oklahoma and Steven and Tonia Kitchens of Pottsville; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Cameron Craig of Danville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Mary Nell Lane and Larry and Paulette Lane all of Havana; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lana and Ron Davis and Sharon and Wendell harp all of Morrilton; seven grandchildren and a host of nephew, nieces and friends.

Services were Tuesday, November 17 at 2 p. m. at the Danville Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Charles King and Rev. Ronnie Morris officiating. Burial was in Earl Ladd Cemetery.
