King, Cleo Leon

Cleo Leon King, age 83, passed away Monday, January14, 2008. He was born August 23, 1924 in Gravelly, AR, to Lillie and Edgar King. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II, and saw action at Okinawa, Ryukyus Islands and the occupation of China. He was married to Mary Charlene Smith for 59 years, until her death in 2001. He was an auto body mechanic for over 30 years at Bill White (Riverside) Chevrolet. After retiring he became a school bus driver for Union Public Schools, where he won "Bus Driver of the Year" in 2001. He was a member of South Lakewood Baptist Church. He had been a deacon and a choir director. He was a 32nd degree Mason.

He was preceded in death by Charlene; brother, Odell King; sister, Ethel Kitchens and husband, Jess; brother, Robert King and wife, Nellie sister, Lula King; brother-in-law, Robert Hidde; and brother-in-law, Oragel Jones.

He is survived by daughter, Sharon & Bill Grimm; son, Johnny King; a grandson; sister, Nadine Hidde, sister, Louise Jones of Danville, AR, sister, Leah & Rex Hunt of Grass Valley, CA; and brother, Leo & Clara King of Fort Smith, AR.

King, Daisy May (Wells)

Mrs. Daisy May King, age 70 of Pacoima, Calif., died December 18. She was a native of Pottsville and lived in Havana for many years before moving to California in the early 1940's. She was a member of the Methodist church.

Survivors include her husband, Omer King; two daughters, Wanda Fields and Christine Vietto of California and one step- daughter, Lennis Randall of California; one step-son, Oslin King of California; her step-mother, Mrs. Lillie Wells of Mitchell Nursing Home in Danville; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Majors of Dardanelle and Mrs. Ethel Ingram of Russellville; one brother, Lawrence Wells; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Darrell B. King, aged 39, of Clarinda, LA., formerly of Bluffton died Sunday, December 1, 1968. He was a member of the Church Of Christ.

Survivors include his wife; a son Steven B. King of the home; two daughters, Rose Mario and Mary Ann King, both of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Odell King of Bluffton, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Jo Gossage of Virginia.

King, Deborah Ridings

Deborah Ridings King, age 37, of Conway, AR formerly of Russellville, AR died Sunday, October 22, 2000 at her home. She was born October 25, 1962 in Hammond, IN to O'Neal and Wanda Holloway Ridings; she was a member of Second Baptist Church in Russellville. She received a bachelor's degree in accounting, from ATU and a master's degree in business operation from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.

She was preceded in death by two grandfathers, a step-grandfather, a grandmother and an uncle.

She is survived by, her husband, Donald King; her parents, O'Neal and Wanda Ridings; a brother, Timothy Ridings of Lonoke, AR; a grandmother; two uncles; several nieces and nephews; father and mother-in-law, James and Pauline King of Russellville, AR and a special companion, her dog Xena.

Funeral service will be today, at 10 a. m. Wednesday at Shinn Chapel in Russellville with the Rev. David McLemore officiating. Burial will be in Havana Cemetery in Yell County under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service. Edward King, age 70 of Ola, a retired grocer, died November 18 at his home. He was a member of the Methodist Church and a member of the Woodmen of the World.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruby Tharp King; two sons, Doyle King of Little Rock and Loyle King of Ola; two daughters, Mrs. Lewis Cook of Ola and Mrs. Victor Badger of Miami, Fla.; one brother, Charles F. King of Ola; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

King, Eldon Leroy

Eldon Leroy King, 93, of Pottsville, AR went to be with the Lord, Friday, June 19, 2009 at St. Marys Hospital. He was born February 25, 1916 in Chickalah to the late Thomas and Ethel King. He was a sawmiller, farmer and retired ordained Assembly of God minister.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Edith Dodson King; parents, four sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include six children and spouses, Travis and Ann King of Cheyenne, WY, Virginia and Robert Tramel of Russellville, Rev. James and Judy King of Vilonia, Rev. Philip and Mary King of Romance, AR, Wanda and Herbert Collins of Little Rock and Donna and George Woolf of Pottsville; a sister, Melda Vae Walker of Ozark, AR; 17 grandchildren 32 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren and many nephews, nieces and friends.

BELLEVILLE - Ferman Clifford King, age 84, of Belleville died Sunday, December 1, 1985, at his home. He was the son of the late William and Orval Sanders King, a retired farmer, and a member of Christian Masonic Lodge 394 and Upper Spring Creek Free Will Baptist Church. He served as secretary of the lodge for 27 years.

Hattie Lorene Blankenship King, 80, a resident of Ola best known as Shorty or Nanny King, died Tuesday, August 21, 2012. at Dardanelle Nursing Center. She was born April 1, 1932, at Briggsville to the late James Ruben and Alice Roberta Spears Blankenship. Shorty, a Methodist, was a homemaker, a chicken grower, owner of King's Grocery, and an employee of both the Ola and Two Rivers School Districts.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill King, Jr., and her son, Jackie King.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Judy King, David King, Donna King, of Ola, Danny and Doris King, James and Sandra King, of Plainview; fifteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; her sister, Irene Nash, and many nieces and nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Wiley A. King.

Leonah Faye King, age 90, of Danville past away Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. She was born March 3, 1924 in Danville to the late Ben T. and Leonah Susan Reynolds Mosely. She was a homemaker and a member of the Wilson Freewill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Opal King.

Survivors are a daughter, Jo Ann (King) Lindsey of Red Bluff, California, son, David King of San Bernardino, California, four grandchildren, Kevin Kain, Kraig Kain, Kelly Turner and Annie King, six great-grandchildren, , 10 great-great-grandchildren, brother, Boyce O. Mosely of Danville, sisters, Loyce Crutchfield of San Bernardino, California, Lucille Sweeden of Mansfield, Texas, Linda Patterson of Little Rock, and a host of nephews and nieces. King, Loyle F. "Bud"

Loyle F. "Bud" King, age 86, of Russellville, formerly of Ola, AR died Friday, March 9, 2007 at Legacy Lodge Nursing Home in Russellville, AR. The son of Ed and Ruby Thorpe King, he was born August 13, 1920 in Ola. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theatre. He married Wanda Dalton on May 7, 1946 at Rogers, Arkansas. He worked first as a lineman for Bell Telephone in Rogers. The family later moved to Ola where he worked in the timber industry, first as a surveyor and later at the sawmill as a saw-filer. He worked a total of 35 years, retiring from Deltic Timber in 1982. He was a member of the American Legion Post at Ola and the Plainview Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a charter member of the Ola Volunteer Fire Department. He was a longtime member of the Ola United Methodist Church and later a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Russellville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother, Doyle R. King, two sisters, Vera Cooke, Evelyn Badger and a grandson, Greg King.

Survivors include his wife Wanda King of Russellville; four sons, Joe & Robin King of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Gary Karen King of St. Peters, MO, Richard & Barbara of Pottsville, Ray& Angela of Atkins; eight grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild.

A memorial graveside service was held March 12, 2007 at Sandlin Cemetery at Ola with Rev. Blake Bradford officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Opal Olgar King age 92 of Danville died Friday, February 4, 2011 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was born July 15, 1918 to the late William Thomas and Eleanor Sanders King. He was a member of the Wilson Free Will Baptist Church in Belleville and the Gideons International. He was a veteran and also a civil engineer with the civil service at Norton Air Force Base.

Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Faye King of Danville; one daughter, Jo Ann Lindsey and husband Douglas of Red Bluff, California; one son, David King of San Bernardino, California; one sister, Gladys Spear of San Francisco, California; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were February 8, 2011 at Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel in Danville with Rev. Jeff Henderson officiating. Interment was at Lower Spring Creek Cemetery. King, Richard "Dick"

Richard "Dick" King, 56, of Pottsville, AR, died Friday, October 10, 2008 at Conway Regional Health Center in Conway, AR. The son of Loyle and Wanda K. Dalton King, he was born January 21, 1952 in Russellville, AR. He was an Arkansas Tech University Alumni. He was the owner of Dalton King Packaging. Richard was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3028. Serving as president from 2005-2007, past president 2007-2008 and a state officer in 2007-2008. Dick was a Methodist. He enjoyed golfing, woodworking, fishing, bird hunting, garage selling, and landscaping his yard. He also enjoyed telling others how to landscape their yards.

He was preceded in death by his father, Loyle F. King.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara King of Pottsville; four daughters, Celeste Snyder of Manhattan, Kansas, Elisha Petty of Russellville, AR, Misty Ridenhour of Goodyear, AZ and Melissa Mediano of Russellville; mother, Wanda King of Pottesville; three brothers, Joe King of Sunrise, FL, Gary King of St. Charles, MO and Ray King of Atkins, AR; 17 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Mrs. Ruth Marie Cates King, aged 55, of Danville, wife of John King, died Saturday at a hospital here after a long illness with cancer. She was a lifelong resident of Yell County and a Methodist.

King, Tommy Glen

Tommy Glen King, 65, died June 16, 2006 at his home in Phoenix AZ. He was born December 24, 1940 in Cudahy, CA to James Jim) and Mildred (Bradshaw King.

He is survived by his wife, Judi, children Toby and Christine of the home; son Jim King of San Diego; daughter Deborah King of Hollywood, Ca; and son Dr. Brett King of Massachusetts; grandchildren Baxter and Jacob King; sisters Sarah Turner of Barling AR and Ella Ann Owen of Star City, AR; and brother Jimmy King of Bauxite, AR, plus numerous relatives and countless friends across the states. Tommy lived at Bluffton and attended school at Fourche Valley High School where his father taught from 1955 to 1956, before moving to Glenwood.

Miss Velma M. King, 80, of Dardanelle, passed away Monday in the Dardanelle Hospital.

She is survived by four brothers, Robert King of Paducah, KY, Leo King of Pocahontas and Cleo and Gerald King of Biggers (AR); a sister, Mrs. Wanda Wiemann, also of Biggers; an uncle Luther McMillen of Pocahontas.

Wanda Katherine Dalton King, age 83, of Ola, died Monday, January 5, 2009 at Atkins Nursing Center in Atkins. The daughter of Luke and Minnie Dew Dalton, she was born July 15, 1925 in Caddo Gap. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bud King; one son Richard King; one grandchild, Greg King and several siblings.

Survivors include her husband, Avery Earl Kinsey; one son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Pat Kinsey of Dardanelle; two daughters and a son-in-law, Pat Wallace of Waldron and Janett and Dewey Lewis of Dardanelle, AR; one brother, George Willis Freeman of Stockton, CA and one sister, Jewel Hicks of Stockton, CA; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren and many relatives and dear friends.

He worked at John Deere in Waterloo Iowa from 1957 \endash 1991. Robert was a member of the Wilson Freewill Baptist Church. He was a 50 year member of the Masons in which he was very active. Robert married Ruth McClain in 1961, they later divorced then he married Patricia Pitts in 1978.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
