Esther Rainey, age 80, of Casa, AR died Monday, November 23, 2009.

Rainey, Esther Marie

Esther Marie Rainey, age 80, of Casa, AR died Monday, November 23, 2009 at her home. She was born September 13, 1929 at Casa to the late Norman and Goldia George Hill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, J. W. Rainey; brothers, Walter and Chester Hill and a sister, Juanita Hill.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Janice Rainey of Casa; a daughter and son-in-law, Vicky and Philip Ward of Casa, AR; three brothers, Winton Hill of Casa, Cecil Hill of El Reno, OK and Billy Hill of Houston, AR; a sister, Marjorie Ellison of Ola; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Rainey, Glenn E.

Glenn E. Rainey, age 92 of Knoxville died Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. He was the oldest of 8 children to Mr. and Mrs. Ernest and Ruth Rainey born in Sikeston, Missouri. He worked in CC's at a young age, went on to the Navy and served in World War II.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, Harold & Jeff Rainey; sisters, Mae Campbell, Ruth Shimmels and Maxine Guist.

He is survived by his youngest brother, Erwin Rainey of Ola, Charline Schooles of Centerville and Imogene West of Russellville. He and Laura Rainey had 7 children. Fred Rainey preceded him in death and leaves his daughter Betty Spears, James Rainey, Glinda Siber, Linda Akins, Sue Bryan and Robert Rainey; 19 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren.

Rainey, J. W. "Jake"

J. W. "Jake" Rainey, age 74, of Casa, AR died Tuesday, May 5, 1998, at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born in Casa, and was a son of the late Oscar Othel Rainey. He was a former employee of Arkansas Kraft, and was a veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Alton Rainey.

Survivors include his wife, Esther Marie Rainey; a son and daughter-in-law, Johnny C. and Ann Rainey of Casa; a daughter and son-in-law, Vicky and Philip Ward of Casa; his mother, Mary Rainey of Casa; two brothers, Odell and Marvin Rainey, both of Casa; three grandchildren, Stephanie Thompson, Nicole Ward Brixey and Leslie Ward all of Casa and a great-granddaughter, Kishea Thompson of Casa.

Funeral service was May 7, 1998 at the Shinn Chapel with Rev. Thomas Morris officiating. Burial was in Casa Cemetery. Rainey, Marvin Marvel

Marvin Marvel Rainey, age 75 of Casa, died Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at UAMS. He was born August 3, 1934 at Casa to the late Oscar O. and Mary Francis Stover Rainey. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Casa and he was a mason. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, J. W. and Alton Rainey.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta Rainey of Casa; two daughters, Sherry Holliman of Casa and Kelli Rainey of Conway; one grandson, Jeremy Rainey and wife Tammy of Casa; one great granddaughter; Hunter Rainey of Casa; one brother, Odell Rainey of Casa and a host of nephews, nieces and friends.

Funeral services were June 4 at the First Baptist Church in Casa with Bro. Jack Bean and Phillip Young officiating, music directed by Dale Parish and piano played by Patti Baskin. Oma Irine Rainey, age 87, of Casa, AR died Thursday, May 27, 1999 at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, AR. She was a daughter of the late Elisha and Lizzie Morgan; she was born April 10, 1912 near Casa. She was the widow of the late Virl "Pat" Rainey and was a member of Centerville Assembly of God.

Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Abernathy of Casa; a granddaughter, Flora Harrington of Casa; two step-grandchildren, Debbie and Jerrold Abernathy of Ola; and three step-great-grandchildren, Amanda, Erick and Cody Abernathy all of Ola.

Funeral was Tuesday at Centerville Assembly of God with the Rev. Euel Nordin and the Rev. Dickey Young officiating. Otho W. Rainey, age 86, of Casa, AR died Monday, October 2, 2000 at the Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville, AR. He was born October 16, 1913 the son of the late Ellis Alexander and Cora Bradshaw Rainey. He was a retired farmer, a former Mason and a member of the Casa Assembly of God Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, his wife, Estelle Rainey and a brother, Pat Rainey.

He is survived by, a son and daughter-in-law, Dariel and Charlene Rainey of Casa, AR; two brothers, Aubrey Rainey of Perry and Vinis "Shorty" Rainey of Oppelo, AR; a sister, Julie Hubbard of Ola, AR; three grandchildren, Tim and Mark Rainey both of Casa and Kim Mauldin of Conway, AR and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be today, Wednesday, October 4 at 10 a. m. at the Casa Assembly of God with Rev. Juanita Ragsdale and Rev. Benny Stickley officiating. James "Jim" Rains, age 71 of Dover, died Monday, April 30, 2007 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. He was born November 29, 1935 at Dover to the late Henry and Eulan Mathis Rains. He retired from Con Agra after 30 years of service as a machinist. He was a member of AM Vets. Post #0050 and he loved nature and the outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Eulan Rains, a brother Bill, and a sister, Barbara.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Pat Boone Rains of Dover; son, Scott Rains, formerly of Dover; stepson, Ken O'Neill of Ventura, CA; stepdaughter, Kayla Yerina of Dover; brother, Ronnie Rains of Dover; sisters, Mary Coffman of Dover, Gail Treat of Cedarville, AR; grandson, Elliott O'Neill of Ventura, CA; beloved granddaughter, Katy Yerina of Dover; numerous other family and friends.

Estella Ramey, age 79 of Russellville, AR died Thursday, June 3, 1999 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was born February 29, 1920 at Hector, AR to Arnold and Erma Williamson Patton, widow of Thurman L. Ramey and a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Odell Patton and Lionell Patton.

Survivors include two brothers, R. L. Patton of Cabot and Norman Patton of Hector; two sisters, Wanda Wisdom of Hector and Virginia Lawrence of California; several nieces and nephews.

Floyd (Doc) Ramey, age 71, of Russellville, AR died Thursday, January 27, 2000 at Saint Vincent Infirmary Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. He was a son of the late Ned and Ha Ramey, a retired U. S. Army Veteran and a member of Saint John's Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ramey.

Mr. Harold Ramey, age 80, of Danville, AR passed away Wednesday, February 12, 1997 at Mitchell Nursing Home in Danville. He was born in Havana, AR June 8, 1916 son of the late Ned and Ila Mott Ramey. He was a retired mechanic and farmer and member of the Havana Presbyterian Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Loeva Moudy Ramey and a brother, Carl Ramey.

Survivors include a brother, Floyd Ramey of Russellville; three sisters, Willie Patton of Russellville, Anna M. Bryant and Elva Pay both of North Little Rock; also several nieces and nephews.

She was born February 22, 1949 in Dardanelle, AR to the late George and Melba Estell Adams Lott. She was a homemaker and mother and a member of the First Baptist Church in Dardanelle, AR.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Sam Ramey; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Stephanie Ramey of Dardanelle, AR and Jason and Fay Ramey of Baton Rouge, LA; a brother and sister-in-law Charles and Peggy Lott of Dardanelle, AR; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Hazel and Phillip Latta of Atkins, AR and Shirley and Jim Heflin of Delaware, AR and three grandchildren.

Service was November 25, 2006 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle, AR with Rev. Milton Cowling officiating. Burial was in Brearley Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home of Dardanelle, AR. Ramey, Lena

Lena Ramey, age 90 of Danville, died Thursday, July 15, 2004 at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville. She was born in Alpine, Arkansas Perry County) on October 12, 1913 daughter of the late James A. and Maudie S. Black Bull. She retired after 30 years of service with Mitchell's Nursing Home, as a nurse's aide. She was an accomplished pianist, playing many years for the enjoyment of the senior citizens at the Danville Community Center. She was also a member of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Everett and Clyde Bull, her sister, Bertha Burrows, an infant brother, Opal Bull and an infant sister, Sue Bull.

Survivors include her children, Carrol and Florene Ramey, Bobby and Lina Ramey, Frances and Bobby Burrows, all of Danville; sister, Ruby Duggar, of Plainview; a brother, Raymond Bull, of Amarillo, Texas; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, three step grandchildren, and nine step great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held July 17, 2004 at the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Danville with Reverend Earl Stapleton officiating. Burial was in Russell Cemetery in Belleville, Arkansas. Mildred Eloise Barnett Ramey, age 79, of Danville, AR passed away Monday, May 31, 2010 at Chambers Hospital. She was born August 12, 1930 in Danville to the late Jesse Lee and Vera Viola May Fowler Bice. She was a member of the Chalybeate Springs Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Loyd Barnett; daughter, Mildred Thomlinson and grandchildren, twins Lori Ann and Bradley Thomlinson and Mark Barnett.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Raymond Barnett of Ola, Dickey and Sharon Barnett of Dover, Margaret Barnett of Virginia and Terry and Delaine Barnett of NM; sister Eula Rose; brothers, Loyd, Bill and Rickey Bice; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends and other family at 2 p. m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Mildred's home at 506 E. 11th Street in Danville.

Thurman Lee "Tim" Ramey, Jr., of Dardanelle, died March 16, 2010. He was born June 27, 1949 in Russellville to the late Thurman and Inis Cooper Ramey.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jeremiah Ramey; sisters, Mary Jane and Katherine Ramey, Ella Rea Srutka; aunt and uncle, James and Ann Hurst; grandparents, Fred and Golda Ramey and John and Sarah Cooper; mother-in-law, Betty Stewart; and a cousin, Laquita Ramey.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Lamona Kay Stewart Ramey; son, Stewart Richey of Dardanelle; daughter and son-in-law, Kylia and Steve Lee of Russellville; son, Clint McVay of Sweetwater, TX; grandchildren, Bailey Richey, Jacey Neagles, Jessica, Savannah, Maison and Madison Lee, Kyler and Cade McVay.

Lloyd Ellis Ramsey, Jr. age 53 of Danville, died Wednesday November 25, 1998, at University medical Center in Little Rock. He was born in Mattoon, 111. March 8, 1945, son of the late Lloyd Ellis and Clara Bell Allen Ramsey, Sr. he was a retired general laborer.

Survivors include his companion, Theresa Scott; two sons, Lloyd Ellis Ramsey iii, St. Petersburg, FL; Samuel V. Ramsey of Danville; three daughters, Tai Bougardis, St. Petersburg, FL, Tisha Harwood, Payson, Utah, Jennifer Scott, Danville foster sister, Pat Vanmetre of Onley, Ill, seven grand children. Rankin, Erma Scott

Erma Scott Rankin, age 98, of Van Buren, AR, formerly of Russellville, AR died Friday, May 6, 2005 at Beverly Health Care in Van Buren. She was a daughter of the late Andrew Scott and Mary Magdalene Lemley Richardson. She was born December 9, 1906 in the Buttermilk Community near Appleton, AR. She was a former nurses' aide at St. Mary's Hospital in Russellville and served as Pope County Sheriff during 1961 through 1962 to fill her husband's unexpired term after his death. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church She was the widow of Bob Ira Rankin and was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Scott Rankin.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Linda Rankin of Van Buren, AR; four grandchildren, Becky Pledger of Danville, AR, Tony Rankin of Russellville, AR, Karen Murphy of Fort Smith and Sarah Morton of Van Buren; a niece; four great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was Tuesday at the Shinn Chapel by Rev. Hershel McClurkin and Rev. Ed Warren. Burial was in Pisgah Cemetery by Shinn Funeral Service. Active pallbearers were Harold Pledger, Jr., Darren Pledger, Scott and Terry Bowden, Barry Morton and Bill Fernandez. Sharon Lee Ranney, 55, of Delaware died February 3, 2007, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was born December 28, 1951, at Seattle, Washington to the late Wallace Ranney and Julia Barnes Demott. She was a member of the Delaware First Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her best friend and long time partner Gary Stone.

Survivors include her beloved stepfather, Dan DeMott of Bellingham, WA; son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Ginger Hughes of Delaware; brother, Danny Ranney of Anchorage, Alaska; sister and brother-in-law, Donna Platt and Clare Doig of Anchorage, Alaska; two grandchildren, A. J. Hughes of Delaware, Katlyn Hughes of Delaware; her new church family at Delaware First Baptist Church and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all of whom she loved dearly. Raper, Cecil Monroe

Cecil Monroe Raper, age 79, of Briggsville, died Tuesday morning, January 21, 1975 at the Yell County Hospital in Danville. He was a native of Bluffton, a retired farmer, the son of the late Will and Lee Sinclair Raper. Mr. Raper was a member of the Methodist Church, a Mason, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Oral Simmon Raper; three sons, Laudell Raper and Charles Lee Raper both of Oklahoma City and Andrew Raper of Blytheville; two daughters, Mrs. N. F. Marshall of Malvern and Mrs. J. M. Woodall of Blytheville; two brothers, Herbert Raper of Mississippi and Owen Raper of Dumas; three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Lazenby and Mrs. Lorine James both of Dumas and Mrs. Ed James of Plainview; 10 grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.

Charles Lee "Chuck" Raper Sr. born September 8, 1927 in Briggsville, Arkansas to Cecil & Oral (Simmons Raper passed away Thursday, December 11, 1997 after a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Raper was retired from the US Navy and Civil Service, and was a member of Masonic Lodge number 123.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Shirly Roena Raper; his 5 children, Elizabeth Roena Denard & husband Doug, Command Sergeant Major Charles Lee Raper Jr. & wife Judy, Sherry Lynn Hursh, Leslie Dean Raper & wife Jana, and Pamela Marie Raper; 9 grandchildren 2 great-grandchildren. Mr. Raper is also survived by his mother, Oral Raper; 2 brothers, Laudell & Andy "Red" Raper, and 2 sisters, Billie Marshall & Grace Woodall.

He was preceded in death by his father Cecil.

Enich Andrew "Andy" "Red" Raper, age 73, of Lewisville, TX, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2007, in Lewisville, TX. He was born October 1, 1933 in Wing, AR to Cecil and Oral Simmons Raper. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Jessie Stinnett on November 19, 1956 in Ola, AR. He was a member of Devine Grace Baptist Church and was a member of Bluffton, AR Masonic Lodge #123.

He is survived by his wife, Jessie; sisters, Billy Marshall of Little Rock, AR and Grace and J. M. Woodall of Conway, AR; brother, Laudell Raper of Oklahoma City, OK; mother-in-law, Blanche Stinnett of Lewisville; sisters-in-law, Martha Harp, Glenda Frank and Shirley Raper and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Nicki Raper on December 2, 2005 and by a brother Charles Raper.

A graveside service was held April 21, 2007, at Flower Mound Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Wilson's Disease Association International, 1802 Brookside Dr. Wooster, Ohio 44691. Mrs. Oral Simmons Raper, age 96, of Little Rock, AR formerly of Briggsville, Yell County, Arkansas died Tuesday, April 20, 1999 at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, She was born February 6, 1903 in Rover, Yell County, AR to the late Henry and Lily Victoria Tedder Simmons. She was a homemaker and mother and a member of the United Methodist Church in Briggsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil M. Raper.

She is survived by two sons, Laudell Raper of Oklahoma City, OK and Enich Raper of Dallas, TX; two daughters, Billie, Marshall of Little Rock, AR and Grace Woodall of Blytheville, AR; two brothers;, Gene Simmons and Kenneth Simmons both of Hot Springs, AR; two sisters, Ina Burton and Violet Brewster both of Hot Springs, AR; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Services were April 23, 1999 at the Cornwell Chapel in Danville, AR with Bro. Royce Savage officiating. Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Briggsville, AR by Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville, AR. Raper, Robert Lee

Robert Lee Raper, died June 9, 1952 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H G. Simmons, near Hot Springs. He was born in Alabama July 16, 1964 and was 87 years old.

He leaves to mourn his going one daughter, Mrs. H. G. Simmons, three sons, C. L. Raper and O. B. Raper of Hot Springs, R. B. Raper of Richland Washington, nine grandchildren14 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.

Ratliff, James Craig

James Craig Ratliff passed away on December 21, 2002, at his home in Little Rock following a prolonged and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Little Rock on October 5, 1955, and reared in Topeka, Kansas. Mr. Ratliff was employed as Facilities Maintenance Coordinator and Supervisor of Plant Operations by the University or Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service. He attended Washburn University in Topeka and Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. He held numerous licenses and certifications. For many years, Mr. Ratliff raised poultry, cattle and timber on his beloved Yell County farm. After relocating to Little Rock, he continued to spend his weekends and holidays on the farm and had hoped to retire there. He was a self-taught naturalist and a NASCAR fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Ella Evans Ratliff, and by a special uncle and aunt, Afton and Ann Ratliff. Mr. Ratliff is survived by his niece and nephew, Hannah and Jonathan Carr; his sister, Leslie Ratliff Carr, and her husband Steven, of Raleigh, North Carolina. He is also survived by his special friend and companion, Linda Betts of Little Rock. He will also be missed by numerous friends, most especially Dudie Michaels, and co-workers.

A memorial service for Mr. Ratliff was held at Faith United Church of Christ, University Avenue and 3 Lake Shore Drive, in Little Rock, on Saturday, December 28, at 2:00 p. m. Ray, "Aunt Catie"

"Aunt Catie" Ray passed away at her home in Havana, Sunday, April 4, 1948 at the age of 71. Mrs. Ray was born at Waveland on March 3, 1871 and had lived at or near Havana all her life. He was member of the Havana Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star at Havana.

Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon by Rev. Charles Finch at the Havana Baptist Church. The large crowd in attendance and the exceptional array of beautiful flowers were mute testimony of the devotion of her many friends throughout the country.

She is survived by her husband, J. F. Ray; four daughters, Mrs. Lotta Ray Black and Mrs. R. L. Welch both or Danville and Miss Ola and Lora Ray, both of the Home; two brothers, A. A. Scott of Waveland and F. F. Scott of Ft. Smith; and two granddaughters and three grandsons. Interment was in Havana cemetery. Brother and Sister Ray have been members of the Havana Baptist Church for years and words cannot express the loss to our church. A sweet singer of Israel has gone to join the Heavenly Choir. Barbra E. Ray, 77, of Danville, AR died Tuesday, September 29, 1998 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. She was born April 17, 1921, in Macedonia, AR to Arch Alexander and Bevie Selena Herring Carrouth and was a member of Danville Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Wendel Carrouth; and two sisters, Mildred Carrouth and Reba Kimbrough.

Surviving are a son, J. T. Ray of Danville; two daughters and son-in-law, Johnnie Sue Vess and Mary Lou and T. A. McConnell all of Danville; two brothers, Billy Joe Carrouth of Spencer, OK and Harold Carrouth of Searcy, AR; a sister, Virgie Nell Riddle of Danville, AR; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and five nephews and three nieces.

Bobbie Jo Ray, age 76 of Dardanelle, died Monday, February 19, 2007, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was born December 15, 1930, at Dardanelle to the late Robert and Cora Elizabeth Virden Tramel. She was a homemaker and attended the Faith Church in Dardanelle.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Cora Tramel; husband of 16 years, William Ray; two brothers, Delmar Tramel and William Tramel; sister, Elizabeth Kennedy; step-brother, Kenneth English.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Marvetta Farnam of Arkadelphia; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Doyle McEntyre of Dardanelle; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Virginia Tramel of Russellville; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Jimmy McCoy of Plainview; two step-sisters, Oleta Baskin of Casa and June Mitchell of Danville; stepbrother, George English of Casa; three grandchildren and spouses; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Thursday, February 22, 2007, at Cornwell Chapel, Dardanelle, with Rev. Bobby Johnson and Rev. David Jay officiating. Interment was in Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle. Chester "Chet" Richard Ray, age 89, of Danville, AR died Saturday, November 22, 2003 at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville. He was born March 7, 1914 in Dutch Creek, AR to the late James and Rachel Sanders Ray. He was a fresh produce dealer for 20 years in Danville.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cheryl Lynn Havner; two brothers, Ed and Cecil Ray; two sisters, Vina Haines and Zetta Morse.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marv Ellen Eden Ray; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Havner and Betty and Darrell Westcott all of Danville, AR and Becky and Richard Cooper of Lake Jackson, TX; a son, Billy Sullivan of Little Rock, AR; six grandchildren, David and Jennifer Havner, Jeff and Steven Westcott and Cheston and Cory Cooper and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at 10 a. m. at the Danville Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. William Canard officiating. Burial will be at the Earl Ladd Cemetery in Danville. Edgar Vewl Ray, age 83, of Danville, AR died Thursday, September 7, 2000 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. He was born October 11, 1916 in Danville, AR, son of the late Jim and Rachel Sanders Ray. He was a member of the New Bethel Mission Baptist Church, a retired carpenter, cattle and chicken farmer.

Ray, Ernest (Shorty)

Ernest (Shorty) Ray, age 70, of Dardanelle, AR, formerly of Imboden, AR, departed this life on Monday, March 27, 2000 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Little Rock, AR. He was born December 3, 1929, the son of Ernest Anderson Ray, Sr. and Condita Hidalgo Ray. He was united in marriage to Ada Sue Ray on August 28, 1955. He served in the Army as a member of the Airborne Rangers, 3rd Company and was a Veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired educator and a member of the Cavalry Baptist Church in Dardanelle, AR.

Survivors include, his wife, Ada Sue Ray of the home; one daughter, Lisa Ray Carmack of Atkins, AR; one granddaughter, Meggie Sue Carmack of Atkins, AR; two sisters, Aline Ray Dennis of Alexandria, VI and Elisabeth Ray Garrett of Memphis, TN and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Jo Ray Evens, Kate E. Ray and Wilma Ray Luster.

Ray, Gary Wayne

Mr. Gary Wayne Ray, age 54, of Belleville, AR. formerly of Denison, TX died Saturday, January 30, 1999 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. He was born July 4, 1944 in Ada, OK to the late Oran Park and Delia Wilkerson Ray. He retired after 25 years with SCM Allied Egry Business Systems in Denison and was a 1962 graduate of Wilson High School in Wilson, OK.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard D. Ray.

Survivors include his wife, Jauniva McMillan Ray; one son, Marcus Ray of Belleville; one daughter, Sharon Bailey of Belleville; one brother, Bobby O. Ray Midwest City, OK; one sister, Joyce D. Patrick of Oakwood, GA.

Services will be Wednesday, February 3, 1999 at 2:00 p. m. at the Cornwell Chapel in Danville with Rev. Bill Storts officiating. Ray, Joe F.

PIONEER RESIDENT OF YELL COUNTY DIES - Joe F. Ray, age 79, of Havana died at the St. Edwards Hospital in Fort Smith Saturday evening. Mr. Ray was born in Yell County and was a lifetime-resident of the county. He was a cotton ginner for 59 years and formerly operated a saw mill in connection with his cotton gin. Mr. Ray was an active member of the Baptist Church in Havana and of the Danville Lodge No. 41, F & A M.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Katie Ray, on April 4 of this year and is survived by four daughters, Mrs. W. A. Black of Havana, misses Ola and Lora Ray of Wewoka, Okla. And Mrs. R. L. Welch of Tulsa, Okla.; a son, Joe Jr. of Danville; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Havana Baptist Church Monday afternoon with Rev. Charles Finch and H. D. Jackson officiating. Masonic Rites were conducted by the Danville Lodge at the Havana Cemetery.
