Nipps, Lillian Lorene

Lillian Lorene Nipps, age 83 of Havana, died Saturday, December 15, 2007 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. She was born November 15, 1924 in Havana, AR to the late Royse A. and Rose Etta Taylor Moore. She was a mother and homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ted W. Nipps; brothers, Luther Riley Moore, Leon A. Moore, Krafton Lando Moore; sister, Lucy O. Burrows; and grandson Samuel Hall Nipps.

Survivors include daughters, Rose Mary Starling of NC. and Patricia K. Nelson of Havana; son Paul Wesley Nipps of OK; sisters, Lucille Vess, Loeva Clemons, and Kathryn Graves of Havana; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p. m. Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at Havana Assembly of God Church with Rev. Bob Caldwell officiating. Burial will be at Havana Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jerry Dobbs, Lytle Burrows, Jack Underwood, Rickie Burrows, Paul Adair & Daniel Bryce. Honorary Pallbearers are Emory Vess, Orville Toughaw & Floyd Graves. Nipps, Ted Wesley

Ted Wesley Nipps died August 26, 2007 in Danville, Arkansas. He was born April 27, 1918 in Ripley County, Missouri; the youngest child of Charles Lewis Nipps and Mary A. Blackwell Nipps. He grew up, married and raised a family in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. He was a resident of Havana, Arkansas from November 2004 until his death.

Ted leaves to mourn his loss his wife, Lillian Lorene Moore Nipps; four children, Ray Grant Nipps of Oklahoma, Rose Mary Starling and spouse Worth of North Carolina, Patricia Kaye Nelson and spouse Terry of Arkansas, Paul Wesley and spouse Susan of Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Kimberly Elizabeth Patrick of Georgia, Michael Theron Nelson and spouse Monica of Oklahoma, Rachel Estelle Self and spouse Tim of Oklahoma, Debra Lynn Nipps of California, and Dianna Louise Bressie and spouse Craig of California; eight great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, siblings, nephews, nieces and friends.

He was preceded in death by one grandchild, Samuel Paul Nipps.

Nisler, Willie Inor

Mrs. Willie Inor Nisler, 62, of Plumerville died at a Morrilton hospital August 3, 1958. A native of Birdtown, she was a member of the Methodist Church at Waltreak.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. V. D. Nisler of Plumerville; a son, T. O. Adams of Center Ridge; two daughters, Mrs. Hays L. Nix, Inez

Inez Nix, age 85, of Jessieville, passed away October 21, 2009 at a local hospital. She was the second of four daughters, born to Jesse D. and Pearl L. Gallion West on December 26, 1923 at Steve, Arkansas. Inez married her sweetheart Earl Nix on May 18, 1946. She was a retired Postmaster for the US Postal Service and co-owner of Blakely Store with longtime best friend Gladys Bradley.

Inez was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, one sister - Ella Hill and three brothers-in-laws Clarence Hill, Harold Crain and Morris Tucker.

Inez is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Wilma and Darrell Oates; two grandchildren and their spouses and three great grandchildren; two sisters Louise Crain and Jessie Tucker; one brother-in-law, Thurman Nix and wife Louise; two sisters-in-law; Sibyl Goode and Amy Nix; and many nieces and nephews. Nixon, Edna Caviness

Edna Caviness Nixon, of Danville, died Thursday, December 9, 1999 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. She was born in Gravelly, AR March 1, 1904, daughter of the late John C. and Blanche Montgomery Caviness. She was a retired secretary and a member of the Danville First United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Charles Pugh Nixon and a lifelong democrat.

Ruby Joyce Noakes, age 66 of Ola, died Friday, January 1, 2009, at her home in Ola. She was born November 11, 1942 in Houston, TX, to the late Roland and Beatrice Laney Roberts. She retired after 36 years from Con-Agra, and was a member of the Ola First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobby Dean Noakes, Sr. brothers, Bobby and Paul Roberts; sister, Florence Sanchez; grandson, Matthew Noakes.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Jr. and Becky Noakes of Ola; daughter, Melinda Sue Moore of TX; brothers, Vernon Roberts of CA & Roland Roberts, Jr. of TX; sister, Mary Atkinson of TX; grandchildren, Courtney and Brent Drewey, Bobby Dean Bubba Noakes III, Marcus Blake Noakes and Jeremy Moore; great-grandson Landon Drewey.

Noble, Deward Ralph

Deward Ralph Noble, Sr. age 72 of Delaware died Monday, February 27, 2006 at Dardanelle Hospital. He was born May 3, 1933 at Bisbee, AZ to Ralph and Flora Nellie Carver Noble. He was a 33 Degree Mason and a member of the S. W. Hackett Masonic Lodge in San Diego, CA and the East Hooks Texas Masonic Lodge.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Noble and a son, Steven Howard Noble.

Noble, Karl Ray

Karl Ray Noble, Sr. age 47 of Delaware, died Wednesday, October 4, 2006. He was born October 15, 1958 at El Centro, CA to Deward Ralph Sr. and Jewell Dean Wurst Noble. He was a member of the Myrtle Springs Baptist Church in Hooks, TX.

He is preceded in death by his father, Deward Ralph Noble, Sr. and a brother, Stephen Howard Noble.

Nobles, Ida V.

Ida V. Nobles, age 88 of Oklahoma City, OK passed away April 28, 1997. She was born May 23, 1909 in Belleville, AR to the late Jack and Rosie Smith.

She is survived by two daughters, Pete Crawford and Rozelle Bohanah both of Oklahoma City, OK; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; four sisters, Clyd Cater of Danville, AR, Veda Conway of Belleville, AR and Vera Bullard and Fredda Morse; a brother, Claud Smith of Belleville, AR and numerous nieces and nephews.

Service was April 30th at the Colonial Chapel in Oklahoma City officiated by Mr. Lewis Hale. Interment was in Resthaven Memory Gardens. Emmie Mae Noblett, age 87 of Danville, AR died Sunday, December 19, 1999 at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville, AR. She was born in Paris, AR December 15, 1912 daughter of the late Jacob Willis and Etta Whitecotton Horn. She was a mother and homemaker and a member of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Tom Noblett; two sons, Tommy Noblett Jr. and Glenn Noblett; two granddaughters, Kimberly Brown and Doris Jean Odam and four brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include, four sons, James Noblett of Owensville, AR, Billy Don Noblett of North Little Rock, AR, Larry Noblett and Roger Noblett both of Dardanelle, AR; four daughters, Ruby Cates and Helen Young both of Danville, AR, Dorothy Evans of Lonoke, AR and Linda Baisdon of Central, AK; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Francis M. "Frank" Noblett, age 60, of Danville, died Saturday, November 20, at the Yell County Hospital. He was a native of Yell County and was the son of the late Albert and Neva Kimbrough Noblett. He was a retired drive groundman of the Arkansas Power and Light Co. and a Veteran of World War II.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 22, at 10:00 a. m. at the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Danville by Rev. J. W. McElroy and Rev. Luther Riddle. Hubert Harold "Fuzzy" Noblett, age 76, of Danville died Friday, November 14, 2003, at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. He was born October 4, 1927, in Waltreak, Arkansas to the late Albert and Dora Ann Pledger Noblett. He was a retired line worker for Petit Jean Poultry in Danville.

He was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters, Cecil, Earl, Odell, Frank, Tommy, & Jake Noblett, Dellie Ward and Sylvia Emery.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Wanda Lou James Noblett; a son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Brenda Noblett of Shelton, Washington; daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Johnnie Treadwell of Danville, AR Kim and Bill Ewing of Dardanelle, AR; four sisters, Josie Ross and Rachel Burfield of Ola, AR, Betty Morse and Mamie Rogers of Belleville, AR; a half brother, James Rose of Dover, AR; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

Noblett, Virgie

Mrs. Virgie Noblett, age 68 of Ola. She died Monday, December 12, 1988, at Riverview Nursing Home in Morrilton, AR. She was a native of Waltreak, Yell County Arkansas, daughter of the late Joe and Lizzie Sipes Woodall and the widow of the late Jake Noblett. She was a homemaker and mother and attended the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Shirley Treadwell of Plainview; one brother, Joseph Woodall of Danville; two grandsons, Roy and Roger Treadwell and two granddaughters, Jennifer and Kimberly Treadwell; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Nolen, Jimmy Lawrence "Larry"

Jimmy Lawrence "Larry" Nolen, age 63 of Shreveport, LA and former resident of Waskom, TX died, June 6, 2004. He was born November 1, 1940 in Watsonville, CA to Lawrence Albert and Imogene Tadlock Nolen. He was a 2 1/2 year resident of Shreveport, LA and a former resident of Waskom, TX. He was a PFC in the Marine Corps from 1958 until 1962 and was presently working as a truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence A. Nolen and a son, Cody Jack Nolen.

He is survived by his mother, Imogene Nolen of Bluffton, AR; two sons, Scotty Nolen of Shreveport, LA and Kenneth Nolen of Michigan; four daughters, Amanda Nolen and Casey Nolen both of Shreveport, LA, Debbre Moe of Ohio and Donna Coleman of Ft. Worth, TX; five grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandy and Tommy Standerfer of Waldron, AR and Susan and Gary Goree of Bluffton, AR; a stepdaughter, Kay Torrence of Kilgore; a step-son Ricky Howell of Kilgore and best friend, Judy Slusser of Gladewater.

Noles, Alvie Gene

Alvie Gene Noles, age 69, of Story, AR passed away May 17, 2002 at St. Joseph Hospital in Hot Springs. He was a former resident of Chula, AR (Yell Co.). He attended Walnut Grove Community Church and was active in the church. He was born February 6, 1933 in Mt. Tabor, AR to the late Lee R. and Dixie Corene Ratliff Noles. He was united in marriage to Marie Mabry February 23, 1952. He had worked as a logger, for the Forest Service, Job Corp, State Highway Dept and for Thornton Funeral Home and Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marie Noles of Story, AR; one daughter and son-in-law, Velda and Wayne Duncan of Hot Springs Village, AR; two sons and daughter-in-law, Larry and Sandy Noles of Russellville, AR and Harry Noles of Hot Springs, AR; three sisters, Eileen Richardson, Electa Graves and Charlene Scott; six grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers and two sons, Gary and Terry Noles.

Funeral Service was May 20 at the Walnut Grove Community Church with his nephew, Bro. Ronny Noles and Bro. Darren Bolt officiating. Stanley Albert Noon, age, 66, of Rover, died Wednesday, November 4, 1987, at the Yell County Hospital at Danville. He was the son of the late Hanley and Clara Shaffer Noon a retired United States Forestry Serviceman and retired Arkansas National Guard member, a veteran of WWII and the Korean War and a recipient of the Bronze Star, a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign; Wars and the American Legion, and a member and deacon of the New Bethel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian Welker Noon; one daughter, Frances Lofland of Rover; two brothers, Paul Noon of Paducah, Kentucky and Kenny Whitledge of Dixon, Kentucky; one sister, Virginia Ruth Steinbeck of Modesto, Calif.; two grandchildren.

Jessie V. Nordin, age 85, of Pine Bluff, AR, died February 9, 2000 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born August 23, 1914 the daughter of the late Alph and Lillian May Scott Kinser of Ola, AR. She married Robert A. Nordin Sr. and moved to Pine Bluff area in 1941. While here she helped on their farm where they raised cotton and also owned Nordin's Grocery Store. She was a past member of the Jefferson County Election Board and a member of the Linwood Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by, a son, Robert A. Nordin, Jr. a brother, Odell Kinser and two sisters, Gearldean Kinser and Doris Kinser.

She is survived by, her husband, Robert A. Nordin, Sr. of Pine Bluff, AR; two brothers, Leroy Kinser of Clarksville, AR and Alph "Junior" Kinser of Woodland, CA; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Robert A. Nordin, Jr. age 68 of Ola, AR died Saturday, January 1, 2000. He was born August 9, 1931 in Ola, AR. He was a member of the Church of Christ, a farmer and he and his son owned and operated a tractor parts and implements company.

Robert Amon Nordin, Sr. age 89, of Pine Bluff, AR died May 4, 2002 at Arkansas Convalescent Center. He was born March 13, 1913 in Birta, AR, to George Quincy and Nancy Lou Delia Parker Nordin. He was reared and received his early education in Pope County. He married Jessie V. Kinser, October 13, 1930, and they moved to the Pine Bluff area in 1941, where he farmed. He was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a son, Robert Amon Nordin, Jr.

Survivors are a grandson, Mark Nordin and great grandson, Christopher Nordin of Sheridan, and a nephew, Billy Boyce of Pine Bluff.

Norman, Bill Kenneth

Bill Kenneth Norman, 67, of Greenwood, AR died August 7, 1995 at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Ft. Smith. He was born December 10, 1927 at Plainview to W. O. and Nannye T. Castleberry Norman. He was founder and president of Bill Norman Lure. He received a bachelor of science degree in education with a major in Biology from the University of Central Arkansas. He was a WWII veteran, member of the Founding Executive Advisory Board of Bass Research Foundation; charter member of F. O. C. A. S. (Fellowship of Christian Angler's Society); charter member of Fellowship of Christian Anglers; International Fishing Hall of Fame; Living Legends of American Sportsfishing and received the Dolphin Award. He was a member of the Harvest Time Tabernacle.

He was preceded in death by a wife, Delma Faye Yates Norman; and a brother, Harold Norman of Russellville.

Norman, Home Lee

Home Lee Norman, age 80 of Flintstone, GA, passed away Tuesday May 24, 2005 in a local hospital He was a native of Plainview, AR, the son of Homer and Lucille Compton Norman, but had lived in Chattanooga for many years. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He was a World War II Veteran serving in the Navy. He retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Company after many years of service. Upon retiring he worked for Kenco for five years.

He is survived by his wife, Marian L. Norman; sons and daughters-in-law, Geoff and Kelly Norman of Ringgold, GA; Paul and Jackie Watson of Rossville, GA, daughters and son-in-law, Kathy Norman of Winston Salem, NC; Jan and Steve White of Silver City, NM; five grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Willene and Ray Kidd of Denison, TX.

Novy, Gladys Jones

Gladys Jones Novy, age 96, of Dardanelle died Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at River Valley Medical Center. She was born December 31, 1910 to the late Winford Casey and Maude Rushing Jones. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and she retired from Janet Davis Kitchens in Dardanelle.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 53 years, Van Novy; son-in-law, Bill Bittle.

Survivors include her daughter Ruth Ann Novy of Dardanelle.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p. m. Sunday, November 4, 2007 at Cornwell Chapel, Dardanelle with Rev. Wylie Jones officiating. Interment will be in Brearley Cemetery at Dardanelle.
