Funeral services for Jackson Will Keener, age 71, resident of Onyx who was injured fatally in an auto accident near Williams, Ariz., last week, were conducted Tuesday at Steve Baptist Church by Rev. J. F. Perry, Plainview. Burial was held in the Shed Cemetery in charge of Cornwell Funeral Home.
Mr. Keener and two daughters, Mrs. Alfred Yates, Onyx, and Miss Jennie Keener, Onyx, and two grandchildren were enroute to California, at the time of the accident.
A native of Yell County, he is survived by two sons, Jess Keener, Onyx and Ellis Keener, Quincy, Calif.; two daughters, who were with him at the time of the accident; two sisters, Mrs. Addie Partain, Dardanelle and Mrs. Ola Partain, Plainview; two brothers, Odie of Plainview and R. Jennie Bell Keener, age 97, of Plainview, AR died Wednesday, May 19, 1999 at Fort Smith, AR. She was born on December 13, 1901 in Steve, Yell County, Arkansas to the late will and Nellie Kirby Keener. She was a retired receptionist for Doctors Herr and Bull at the Plainview Clinic.
Survivors include one son, Vernon Keener of Fort Smith, AR; a brother, Pete Keener of Plainview, AR; a sister, Essie Yates of Plainview, AR; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Jesse Clay Keener, age 81, of Steve, AR died Monday November 3, 1986 at the Yell County Hospital in Danville. He was a native of Aly, AR, son of the late William and Nellie Kirby Keener. He was a World War II veteran and was retired from the Forest Service and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Glyda Swaim Keener of the home, one brother, Pete Keener of Plainview, two sisters, Jennie Keener and Essie Yates both of Plainview. Nephew, Vernon Keener of Ft. Smith and Niece, Louise Hopper of Plainview and other nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Wednesday, Nov. 5 at the Plainview Baptist Church with Rev. Bennie Foster and Joe Yates. Interment will be in the Shed Cemetery near Onyx. John A. "Albie" Keener, 94, of Little Rock, AR formerly of Russellville, AR died Friday, December 24, 2004 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. He was the son of Orlando and Willie Myrtle (Harris Keener, he was born November 10, 1910 in Ranger, Arkansas. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II serving with the 5th Army, Company D, 301st Quartermaster Battalion in Europe and Africa. He was a retired barber with Fort Roots V. A. Hospital. He enjoyed gardening and volunteering in the nursing homes in Russellville cutting residents hair, and he was an avid fan of professional baseball after playing the game in the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was a longtime member of the West Side Church of Christ and also became a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ in Little Rock.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Vivian Myers Keener, two sisters, Mildred Crites and Lola Woods and a brother, Oswell Keener.
He is survived by wife, Geraldine Keener, Little Rock, AR; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda & James Ammel of Little Rock, AR; two stepsons and step daughter-in-law, Alfred and Sue McGhee, Little Rock, AR, Samuel McGhee, Lemore, CA; four step-grandchildren; several step great grandchildren.

Lola L. Keener, age 85, a resident of Plainview, AR died Thursday, December 11, 1997 at Chambers Memorial Hospital at Danville, AR. She was born on May 22, 1912 at Yell County, AR to Newton and Lizzie Lowery. She was a homemaker, member of the First Baptist Church of Plainview and the Danville Sr. Citizen Center. She was the widow of the late Odie Keener, and was preceded in death by seven sisters, one brother, one-step daughter and one grandson.
She is survived by two sons, Donald L. Jack L. Keilch, age 82 of Little Rock, passed away on April 9, 2008, He was born on May 15, 1925 in Dardanelle. He was a World War II Veteran, serving in the Marine Corp in the Pacific on Guam and the Marianna Islands. He was employed by the Arkansas State Highway Department in the Financial Department for 38 years. Upon his retirement he began volunteering at Baptist Health in Little Rock where he served on the Auxiliary Board as treasurer for 10 years up until his death.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Alice Keilch, twin brother, sister and daughters Patricia Rose, Carol Sue and Mary Margaret.
He is survived by his wife Rita P. Keilch of Little Rock; sister Dixie Meyer of Centralia, Washington and several nieces and nephews.
Rosary was said on April 11 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial was held on April 12, 2008 at Christ the King Catholic Church with Msgr. Francis Malone celebrant. Mrs. Mary Alic Keilch, age 102, of Dardanelle, AR Monday, July 28, 1997 at the Atkins Nursing Center. She was born July 10, 1895 to the late Judge John H. and Mary A. Jone Keilch in Dover, AR. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Dardanelle where she had served as deacon, teaching elder and president of the Women's organization. She was a cherished charter member of the Dardanelle Business and Professional Women's Club which she served as a faithful member; she was also a member of the Russellville Chapter of the AARP.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard (Buddy) F. Keilch; a son, Richard F. Kei h, Jr., a daughter, Alice Mae McCarson and a granddaughter, Patricia Rose Keilch.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Pat Keilch of Little Rock; a daughter, Mrs. John L. Meyer of Winlock, WA; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

He is survived by, his parents, Roger Doyle arid Edna Willene Keith; a brother, Shannon Keith of Atkins, AR; his maternal grandmother, Faye Davis of Dover, AR and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
Service was October 6, 2000 at the Pottsville Assembly of God Church with Rev. Mike McNeely officiating. Elaine Keith, age 72, of Rogers, AR, the wife of Wesley J. Keith, retired pastor of the Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church, died Saturday, December 21, 1996 at a local hospital. She was born to Sam and Anna Halbert Stanberry on June 2, 1924 near Danville, AR and lived in California for 30 years before returning to Arkansas 23 years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church and the New Hope Community Club.
She is survived by husband, Wesley J. Keith; two sons, Tom J. Keith of Bentonville and Wesley D. Keith of Searcy, AR; one daughter, LaRhonda Murphy of Napa, CA; one brother, Alfred Jack Stanberry of Danville; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild and numerous nephews and nieces.
Funeral service was December 24, 1996 at the Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church in Little Flock with Elder Don Farris, her pastor, Elder Hugh Sears, of Springfield, MO and Elder Bill Kendrick officiating. Mytilty Fay Keith Age 74 of Russellville, Arkansas died Sunday, August 20, 2000 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was born December 20, 1925 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to the late Thomas and Flora Belle Horn. She was a member of the Pottsville Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George M. Keith, a daughter, Sandra Keith, and a granddaughter, Denise Brown.
Survivors are her nine sons; Charles, Larry, Dewayne, Elmo, Mark and Richard Keith, all of Russellville, Roger Keith, Atkins, Timothy Keith, Scottsville, Cecil Keith, London, five daughters; Carmella Cook, Center Valley, Sharon Titsworth, Dover, Connie Craig, Barbara Keith, and Linda Miller all of Russellville, Sisters, Ethel Huffman, California, and Ada Axley, Oregon, 32 Grandchildren, and 44 great grandchildren.

Two men Killed In Car-School Bus Collision Near Here - Two men were killed and several children injured Tuesday when a car and school bus collided head-on about 1 1/2 miles west of Danville on Highway 80. The accident happened about 3:30 p. m. C. M. Haston, 70 and Quenton Keith, 25, both of Waltreak, were dead upon arrival at the Yell County Hospital.
School children admitted to the hospital were Joan Tidwell, 7 Clinton Kimbrough, 7; Rickey Wilson, 10 Billy Donnell, 11; Betty Bowerman, 15; and Betty Pruitt, 15. All were released after treatment for facial cuts and bruises. Raymond Pruitt, driver of the school bus, was treated for cuts and bruises and released.
Pruitt said the car, driven by Keith, was in the middle of the road when he saw it and that it swerved into his path, although he pulled over to the ditch trying to avoid the collision. State Trooper Bob Pritchard, who investigated the wreck credited Pruitt's driving with saving the 30 children on the bus from serious injury or death. The bus traveled 66 feet after the impact, stopping in the ditch but without turning over. The car was knocked 33 feet backwards by the impact and was a total loss. Wesley J. Keith, 83, of Rogers, Ark. a widely known Primitive Baptist elder and the retired pastor of the Little Fock Primitive Baptist Church of Little Fock, Ark. died of lung cancer at his home Saturday, November 8, 2003. Elder Keith died peaceable in the presence of his wife, children, daughters-in-law and most of his grandchildren.
Elder Keith was ordained to the ministry at Madera, Calif. in 1955 and served Primitive Baptist churches in California, Arkansas and Missouri. He and his late wife, Elaine Stanberry Keith, moved to Rogers in 1974 to accept the pastoral care of the Little Fock Primitive Baptist Church. He was also retired from the Mare Island Naval Shipyard at Vallejo, Calif. where he was involved in the building of nuclear submarines. Elder Keith was born near Blue Ball in Scott County, Arkansas to Jesse W. and Rhoda Mai Jones Keith on January 8, 1920 and lived most of his early life west of Danville in Yell County in the area known as Dutch Creek. He and Elaine Stanberry were married from September 2, 1937 until her death in 1996.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Rutledge Keith, of the home; a son, Tom J. Keith and daughter-in-law, Henri R. Keith, of Bentonville; a daughter, LaRhoda Murphy and son-in-law, Thomas R. Murphy, of Napa Calif. a son, Rev. Wesley D. Keith and daughter-in-law, Katie Keith, of Searcy; three sisters, Priscilla Horn, of Danville, Emma Woodard of Waldron, and Evie Clemmons, of Waldron; one brother, Jesse Keith of Crawford County; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Sean Keith, Monty Murphy, Brian Murphy, Larry Oates, Paul Lindsey and Don Miller. He is preceded in death by three brothers, William, Melvin, and Bruice Kellybrew.
