Fisher, Paul Vernon

Paul Vernon Fisher, age 56 of Benton, AR died Monday, January 16, 1989, He was a salesman for the Arkansas State Police magazine, a Baptist and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired member of Labor Local 1282 and a disabled American Veteran and the son of the late Dick and Ethel Luker Fisher of Plainview.

Survivors include his wife, Loyce Marie Fisher; a stepson, David A. Gattis of Benton; a step-daughter, Sharon Gattis of Little Rock; two sisters, Jean Chism of Ola and Jane Eden of Plainview and five step grandchildren.

Fisher, Raymond

Raymond Fisher, age 60, of Dover, AR died Tuesday, October 10, 2000 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. He was born January 10, 1940 in Lincoln, NE to the late Francis and Audrey Birt Fisher. He was a boiler maker for the Nuclear Industry and Army Veteran.

Survivors are a son, Anthony Fisher of Dover, AR; a daughter, Laurie Fisher of Sterling KS; two brothers, Rodney Fisher of Albany, OR and Mark Fisher of Donald, OR; sister, Jackie Morrison of Camby, OR and six grandchildren.

Fisher, Richard Harry "Dick"

Richard Harry (Dick) Fisher, age 82, of Plainview, died Tuesday morning, July 23, at the new Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. Mr. Fisher was a native of Van Buren. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Allen Fisher, and was a retired heavy equipment operator.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ethel Luker Fisher; two sons, Harold of Dardanelle, and Paul of Little Rock; two daughters, Mrs. Jane Eden of Plainivew and Mrs. Jean Chism of Ola; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the New Bethel Baptist Church Thursday afternoon with the Rev. Allen McCurry, and the Rev. Bill Hodges officiating. Interment was at the New Bethel Cemetery. Fisher, Robert O. (Bobby)

Robert O. (Bobby) Fisher, son of the late Robert L. (Bob) and Joan Watt Fisher, was born in Stillwater, OK, April 7, 1940. He died at his home in Richardson, Texas on June 20, 2007. Robert, graduate of Danville High School, attended Arkansas Tech University two years, received an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering, and earned a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics and a Masters Degree in Computer Science at the University of Arkansas. After graduation, Robert worked on his Doctorate of Computer Science at Ohio State University in Columbus, OH, at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbaria, IL and continued at the University of Texas in Dallas, TX. He was employed by Texas Instruments in Dallas, TX for approximately 30 years. He was the leading Technical Manager in centralizing Texas Instruments Main Frame Computers Worldwide. Robert spent his last years at home working with computers. Robert earned the rank of Eagle Scout with Danville Scout Troop 70 attending Philmont Scout High Adventure Camp in New Mexico. He was active in several high school clubs and attended First Baptist Church in Danville. His favorite hobby was fishing. While he was in senior high and at Arkansas Tech, he worked at both the Yell County Record and the Dardanelle Post Dispatch for his parents, who owned both newspapers at that time.

Survivors include one son, Chris Fisher of Russellville; two daughters, Tamara Morris of Steamboat Springs, CO and Teresa Ausborn of Russellville; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Mary Fisher of Danville; his step-mother, Christene Fisher of Clarksville; and two granddaughters, Alexandra Ausborn and Katherine Ausborn of Russellville, and one nephew, Davy and Shara Fisher of Bentonville.

Graveside services will be held on today, Wednesday, July 25th at 10:00 a. m. at the Earl Ladd Cemetery in Danville with Rev. Earl Stapleton officiating. Fisher, Warden Franklin "Ward"

Ward F. Fisher, 75, of Oklahoma City died June 17 at his home. He was a native of McAlester, Okla. and had lived at Oklahoma City since 1929. He was a retired carpenter and building contractor, a veteran of World War I, a Presbyterian and a Mason.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Yvonne Fisher; three sons, Robert L. of Danville, Keith of Tulsa, Okla., and Dick of Oklahoma City; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Roe of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Harold of Tulsa and Ray of Houston, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Ruby Townsend of Rome, Ga.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Windsor Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City by Rev. Marion Beene, pastor, assisted by Rev. Dick Fisher. Fitch, Elsie

Mrs. Elsie Fitch, 89, who has been making her home in Danville with her son, Idus Archer, died June 21, 1954. She moved to Arkansas from Alabama at the age of five. She was married to Milt Archer at an early age. Mr. Archer passed away in 1912 and in 1914 she was married to G. W Fitch, who preceded her in death in 1944.

She is survived by two sons, Idus Archer of Danville and Monroe Archer of Ft. Fitch, Floyd Velmer

Floyd Velmer Fitch, age 70, of Casa died Thursday, December 13, 2001 at his home. He was born August 12, 1931, at Rose Creek in Perry County. He was the son of the late Arthur George and Sara Whitfield Fitch, and a retired pulp wood hauler.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ira and Tinsley Fitch; and a sister, Mabel Fitch.

Survivors include two brothers, True Fitch and his twin, Lloyd Fitch, both of Casa; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.

DARDANELLE - Mrs. Jewel Janet Fitch, age 79, of Dardanelle, died Friday, November 23, 1984 in the Booneville hospital. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dardanelle.

Survivors include a daughter, Billie Jean Haley of Dardanelle; two sisters, Mrs. Estelle Godby of Atkins and Ruby L. Thorpe of Little Rock; a nephew, Jack Godby of Little Rock; a grandchild and a great grandchild.

Funeral will be at 11 a. m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Dardanelle by the Rev. Tony Berry and Rev. Don Corbitt. Burial will be in Baley Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home of Dardanelle. Fitch, Wanda Mae

Wanda Mae Fitch, 75, of Dardanelle, formerly of Harrison, died Sunday, June 20, 2004 at Dardanelle Nursing Center. Born March 31, 1929 at Maysville, KY, she was the daughter of the late John and Sallie McDonald, widow of Joseph R. Fitch and a member of Dardanelle Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda Jo Baumgardner of Harrisburg, PA, and Susan and Ron Brown of Dardanelle; and two grandsons, Todd Joseph Young of New Cumberland, PA, and Bradley Christopher Young of Cranford, N. J.

Fitzgerald, Robert Earl

Robert Earl Fitzgerald, 21, in the U. S. Navy, was killed in a car accident in Sonoma, Calif., on September 24. He was visiting his sister, Mrs. Boyce Bush while on leave from Treasure Island, San Francisco.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Fitzgerald of San Diego, Calif.; two sons, Robert Jr. and Terry, both of the home; his parents, Boyce Fitzgerald and Clarice McElduff, both of Louisiana; foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Blackwell of Danville; three sisters and five brothers.

Fitzsimmons, Gloria Ann (Goodson)

Mrs. Gloria Ann Fitzsimmons, 81, of Wann, died at 2:10 P.M. on Wednesday May 13, 2015 in Tulsa.

Graveside Services will be held for Mrs. Fitzsimmons at 1:00 P.M. on Monday May 18, 2015 at the Robbins Cemetery, near Coffeyville, Kansas, with Rev. Willard Lyons officiating. Interment will be in the Robbins Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. Mrs. Fitzsimmons was born June 6, 1933 at Little Texas, Arkansas, to William Oscar and Frankie Bernice (Cornelius) Goodson. She was raised and received her early education at Gravelly, Arkansas, graduating from High School at Fourche Valley High School, at Briggsville, Arkansas in 1952. She was married to Marvin Floyd Fitzsimmons on April 17, 1954 at Claremore, Oklahoma. They made their home in Tulsa for a short time and then later settled in the Wann, Oklahoma area in 1967, to pursue farming and ranching, which they did for over forty years. She enjoyed her gardening, cooking and baking for her family. She was very proud of her grandchildren and enjoyed cooking and baking for them. Mrs.

Fitzsimmons is survived by her two sons; Robert Fitzsimmons and wife Pat of Wann, OK., Randy Fitzsimmons and wife Debbie of Copan, Oklahoma, a daughter Nancy Trevathan of Tulsa, by three sisters Betty & Gus Lewis of Broken Arrow, Bonnie and Lanny Ashlock of Conway, Arkansas, and JoAnn and Ken Westby of Seattle Washington, by seven grandchildren; Justin Fitzsimmons and wife Julie of Copan, Julie Fitzsimmons of Wann, and Jeff Fitzsimmons also of Wann, Matthew Fitzsimmons and wife Tiffany of Bartlesville, Kristen Crane and husband Jason of Copan, Nichole Fielder and husband Vance of Dewey, and Natalie Trevathan of Broken Arrow, OK.

Jeff Walter Fleenor, age 61, of Jessieville, died Thursday, January 11, 2007. He was a mechanic and a logger. He was born in Hot Springs on September 27, 1945.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Fredrick Fleenor.

Mrs. Ellie Brothers Fleming, aged 59, of near Havana, wife of Silas Fleming died July 18 at the Yell County Hospital. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Oscar Fleming; a son Adrian Carrol Fleming; a son-in-law, Douglas Wayne Clemons and a sister Dimple Capps.

She is survived by a daughter, Clynell Clemons of Danville, AR; daughter-in-law, Clarinda Fleming of Charleston, AR; two sisters, Lottie Ellis of Havana, AR and Jewell Zimmerman of Dallas, TX; seven grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

He was born January 11, 1939 in Riley, Yell County, Arkansas to the late Silas and Ellie Brothers Fleming. He was a retired restaurant owner and carpenter and a member of the Pentecostal Church. Three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Flesher, Pearlie Lee (Strode)

Pearlie Lee Strode Flesher, 81, of Belleville, AR, died Thursday, October 29, 2015, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville, AR. The daughter of Willie Strode and Mary Alice Brock Strode, she was born November 11, 1933, in Piney Community, AR. Pearlie began working at O'Hare & Majors Dry Goods Store. She later became manager of Arkansas Dry Goods, Shay's Dept Store and Young's Department Store. She was a member of the Gathering in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Pearlie was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Victor Flesher.

Survivors include cousins, Patty & Don Condley of Appleton, Kathryn Condley of Appleton, Eva Browning of Ferndale, David Brown of Benton, Thelma Woods of Garfield and many other extended family members.

Flesher, Victor Lee

Victor Lee Flesher, age 73, of Belleville, AR went home to be with the Lord, Friday, October 3, 2008 on Cedar Creek Road in Havana. He was the son of Jesse and Hazel Davis Flesher, born November 18, 1934 in Kingman, KS. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He moved to Arkansas in 1961 to work in the oil field on Danville Mountain. He married Pearlie Lee Strode, August 18, 1962, at Belleville. Before his retirement, he was a Lineman at Firestone Rubber & Tire. He was a member of the Christians Gathered to the Name Lord Jesus Christ Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jimmy Flesher.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Pearlie Flesher of Belleville; daughter, Patty & Don Condley of Appleton; a granddaughter, Kathryn Condley; three sisters, Barbara Cayton of Chickasha, OK, Emma Lou Flesher of Oklahoma City, OK, Colleen & Gene Perdue of Moore, OK; one brother, Kenneth & Tootie Flesher of Oklahoma City, OK; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Homer Flewellen; a sister, Pauline Flewellen.

Flewellen of Hollis, AR; two sisters, Earline Coleman of Modesto, CA and Mildred Davis of Ola, AR; 12 nephews and seven nieces; three step sons and daughter-in-law, David Earl Bewley of Danville, AR, Randy and Teresa Bewley of Casa, AR; James Bewley of Little Rock, AR; three grandchildren, Travis Bewley, Clay Bewley and Linsey Kay Bewley.
