Ensey, Manuel Moses

Manual Moses Ensey, aged 84, of Waveland died at his home Thursday, July 26. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Pentecostal Church.

Ensey, Margaret Lou (Weldon)

Mrs. Margaret Lou Ensey, 75, of Waveland died at the Booneville City Hospital March 1.

Survivors include four brothers, Isaac Weldon of Ft. Smith, J. S. Weldon of Baldwin, Miss., Walter Weldon of California and Raymond Weldon of Benton; three sisters, Mrs. Gertie Paxton of Oklahoma, Mrs. Claudie Robinson of California and Mertle Weldon of Benton; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Ensey, Marion Harley

Marion Harley Ensey, 33, born at Waveland, March 13, 1907, died at the Russell Hospital, March 4, 1940. His death was caused from an abscess following an appendix operation 12 years ago. February 27, 1926, he married Elva Shott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pet Shott. For several years he has made his home in Havana, where he was employed by Hoyt Foster on a regular truck run from Ft. Smith to Little Rock, contacting all business men on his route and making them his staunch friends. In July, 1938 he attended a meeting held by the Church of Christ in Havana, and obeyed the gospel and has since lived a devoted Christian life.

His mother, two sisters, and one brother attended his funeral which was conducted by H. D. Jackson, assisted by Rev. J. D. Baker at the church of Havana.

He is survived by his wife, his mother, four sisters and four brothers. Burial was in the Piney cemetery, with Wayne McBride, Chester McBride, Leland Williams, Bud Williams, James Dixon and Festus Lewis as pall bearers. Ensey, Marion Hoyt

Marion Hoyt Ensey, age 68 of Dover, formerly of Danville, died Friday, April 10, 2009. He was born April 25, 1940 in Havana, AR to the late Marion and Elva Ensey. He was retired from Petit Jean Poultry of Danville. For 34 years, he served as a dedicated member of the Danville Fire Department with 24 of those years as Fire Chief. He was a member of the Dover Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sarah Ward Ensey; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Mary Ensey of Danville; one daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Jeff Myers of Dover; and two grandchildren, Austin and Rachael Myers of Dover.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 14, at the Danville Church of Christ with Bro. John McCourt and Bro. Micah Williams officiating. Burial was in Earl Ladd Cemetery in Danville. Pallbearers were Charles, Aaron and Phillip Spivey, Austin and Jeff Myers, Bartley Bell, and Joe Cathey. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Danville Fire Department. William Henry Ensey, age 62 of Havana, died Tuesday, November 14, 2006, at his home in Havana. Born February 24, 1944 in Waveland, he was the son of the late Frank W and Marie Shott Ensey. He was a farmer. He was preceded in death by a brother, George Wesley "GW" Ensey. "

Ensey, William Rhoad

William Rhoad Ensey born June 14, 1874 in Middle, Tennessee and died April 23, 1950 at his home near Waveland. He had been ill for the past eighteen months and at the time of his death was 75 years, 10 months old.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Tennie Paxton Ensey, a son, Onnio, three grandchildren all of the home; one brother, Manuel Ensey, Waveland; one sister, Mrs. Fannie McGar, Waldron and a host of other relatives and friends. Epperson, Alvin Dwain

Alvin Dwain Epperson, age 55, of Russellville, AR died Tuesday, May 20, 1997 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was a former employee of Petit Jean Poultry. He was the son of the late Horace Alvin and Mary Jewell Smith Epperson and was born at Pottsville.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kelly Sue McKeller and a granddaughter, Mary Jewell McKeller.

He is survived by one son, Alvin Ray Epperson of Dardanelle; one daughter, Sara Palmertree of Russellville and a brother, George W. Epperson of Russellville.

Graveside service was May 23 at Rock Springs Cemetery near Hector with Rev. Bob Alexander officiating. Ernst, Robert Delano

Robert Delano Ernst age 71 of Belleville died Tuesday at St. Edwards Hospital in Fort Smith. He was born April 8, 1983 in Colo, Iowa to the late Arthur Joseph and Opal Zola Arnold Ernst. He was a farmer and a member of the Havana VFW and the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Ward.

Survivors are his wife of 49 years, Dorothy Long Ernst; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Dean and Jean Ernst of Dover, Thomas Allen and Renee Ernst of Havana, a daughter and son-in-law, Ten Lynn and Tim Ward of Barling; two brothers, Jerry Ernst of Kingman, AZ and Howard Ernst of Marshalltown, Iowa; a sister, Ruth Christenson of Nile, MI; three grandchildren, three step grandchildren, a great-grandson and two step great-grandchildren.

Ervin, Amanda Lea (Dickens)

Amanda Lea "Dickens" Ervin, age 32, of Blue Mountain, AR, went to be with the Lord peacefully at home March 10, 2015 after an inspiring battle with terminal illness. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, niece and friend. She was a former certified paralegal. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church of Memphis, TN.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, E.L. "Buddy" Dickens and Onedia "Sis Ross" Dickens of Little Rock; her maternal grandparents, Jack S. Kenward and Joan "Hickerson" Kenward of White Hall; and her brother, Larry Dickens, Jr. of Little Rock.

She is survived by her parents, Larry and Laura Dickens and her daughter, Natalie Anne Ervin, all of Blue Mountain; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

Jeanette Esch, age 70 of Dardanelle, died Tuesday at her home in Dardanelle. Born April 23, 1932 in Dermont, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late, Lee and Myrtle Cagle Cooper. She was co-owner of V. H. Esch Autoparts. She was a member of the Dardanelle Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Van Henry Esch; sons, Danny Esch and Carroll Cole, and a brother, Johnnie Cooper.

Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Gearl and Arneata Cooper of Russellville; sisters, Ruth Romines and Wanda Foster of Russellville; sisters-in-law, Rosemary Cooper of Russellville, and Carolyn Crow and Bobbie Sue Stinnett, both of Dardanelle; one nephew and 3 nieces.

Robbie Faye Esch, age 84, of Dardanelle, AR died Thursday, April 9, 1998 at Stella Manor Nursing Home in Russellville, AR. She was born November 3, 1913 in Clarksville, AR to the late Vannie I. and Sophie Brigham Herring. She was a homemaker, mother and owned and operated Dardanelle Tire and Supple for 36 years with her late husband, the former mayor of Dardanelle, Henry Esch. She was a member of the Dardanelle Church of Christ. She was also preceded in death by a son, Van Henry Esch and a grandson, Danny Esch.

Survivors include two daughters, Bobbie Sue Stinnett and Carolyn Crow both of Dardanelle, AR; a sister, Leona Landthrip of Clarksville; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Claude Joe Eubanks, age 92, of Dardanelle, AR, widower of Ruby Bailey Eubanks, died Sunday, April 30, 2000 at the Yell bounty Nursing Home in Ola, AR. He was born March 16, 1908 in South Fourche, AR to the late Tom and Ollie Mae Harbarger Eubanks. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Slaty Crossing Free Will Baptist Church.

Earl William Eubanks, Sr. age 71, of McGehee, AR died Saturday, March 7, 1998 at Leisure Lodge Nursing Home. He was born February 26, 1927 in Plainview, AR to the late Roscoe Eubanks. He was a self employed construction worker and a Navy Veteran.

Eubanks, Hamilton Moses "Ham", Sr.

Birth: March 19, 1956 Death: May 25, 2008 Hamilton Moses "Ham" Eubanks, Sr., of Little Rock, passed away in his home May 25, 2008 at the age of 52. He was born March 19, 1956 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a graduate of Catholic High School for Boys, later graduating from West Minister College where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. After graduating he worked with Merrill Lynch for several years, a real estate agent with Rector Phillips and Morris, and since 2000 was a mortgage broker with Citypro. Ham was a member of Second Presbyterian Church Little Rock, loved the beach, fishing and was an avid sports enthusiast.

Ham is preceded in death by his father, William Thomas Eubanks, Sr., survivors include his mother, Nancy Moses Eubanks of Little Rock, his wife, Patricia Harris Eubanks of Little Rock his son Hamilton Moses Eubanks, Jr. and his mother, Julie Morgan Jacks of Little Rock ; sister, Mylinda Eubanks Mitchell and husband Maury of Little Rock; his brother, William T. Eubanks, Jr. and his wife Fran of Grand Prairie, TX, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5 to 7pm at 1815 North Tyler Street, followed by a memorial service Friday at 11 am at Second Presbyterian Church, Little Rock, officiated by Reverend Steve Hancock. Eubanks, Helen (Compton)

Mrs. Helen Compton Eubanks of Little Rock, a native of Wing, died Thursday, January 14, in Little Rock. She was the daughter of the late Robert T. and Frances Helen Buford Compton and the sister of the late Tom and Buford Compton. Mrs. Eubauks and her late husband, Dr. R.M. Eubanks, Sr. were married shortly after World War I. She attended school in Yell County in and around the Wing area and finished high school at the U of A.

She is survived by two sons, R.M. Eubanks, Jr. and William T. Eubanks, Sr., both of little Rock; two nieces in this area, Fanny George and Mary Nell Keathley, both of Danville; five grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.

Eubanks, Kenneth

Kenneth Eubanks, 79, of Dardanelle died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, at Dardanelle Nursing Center. The son of Claude and Ruby Baley Eubanks, he was born March 30, 1931, in Carden Bottoms. He married Vaughnceile Norris on Nov. 8, 1951, at Centerville. He was a welder with Bibler Lumber Co. He was a good provider for his family and a wonderful dad. He was a member of the National Guard for nine years and the Free Will Baptist Church in Centerville. He enjoyed carpentry, fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Danny Edwin.

He is survived by his wife, Vaughnceile Eubanks of Dardanelle; three daughters, Angela Eubanks of Boise, Idaho, Ellen Rook and husband, Jerry, of Dardanelle, and Lisa Duke and husband, Danny, of Dardanelle; three grandsons, Kyle Russell of Dardanelle, Aron Rook of Dardanelle and Kevin Duke of Dardanelle; and a sister, Lena Sue Geurian of Dardanelle.

A graveside service and burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, at New Bethel Cemetery at Plainview. Denver Robinson will officiate. Arrangements are by Humphrey Funeral Service. Eubanks, Robert Manley

Dr. Robert Manley Eubanks, age 77 of Little Rock, died Friday at his home. He was born in Dover, was a member of the Methodist Church and had been engaged in an active medical practice in Little Rock from 1913 until his retirement two years ago.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Helen Compton Eubanks; two sons, Robert M. Eubanks Jr. of Little Rock and William T. Eubanks of Memphis; one brother, Charles Eubanks of Clarksville; two sisters, Mrs. T.H. Benton of Chidester and Mrs. Albert Landrum of Tulsa, Okla.; and five grandchildren.

Eudy, James "Curt"

James "Curt" Eudy, age 85 of Little Rock, died Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at the University of Arkansas Medical Center, in Little Rock. He was born in Arab, Alabama on May 25, 1918, son of the late James Harvey and Elizabeth Hyatt Eudy. He was a WWII Navy Veteran, and a longtime employee of Coleman Dairy in Little Rock. He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Pearl Eudy; a son, James Paul Eudy, a grandson, Douglas A very Doughty; two brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Leola Pauline Fryar Eudy; two sons and daughter-in-law, Bill and Penny Eudy of Bryant, Ronnie Ball of Wynne, Arkansas; a daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Ben Doughty of Redfield, Arkansas; brothers, Uborn Eudy of Spruce Pine, North Carolina, Johnny Eudy of Monroe Center, Illinois, George Bryan of Murphy, North Carolina; sisters, Edith Loyd of West Memphis, Arkansas, Clara Harris of Fulton, Kentucky, Mary Strait of Rockwell, Illinois, and Naomi Carter of Las Vegas, Nevada; seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; many nephews and nieces.

DANVILLE - Adrian R. Evans, age 85, of 2926 Randolph, Lincoln, Neb. died Sunday, March 18, 1984 at Yell County Hospital. He was a native of Plattsmouth Neb. son of the late John Thomas and Edna Wells Evans, a veteran of World War I and was a retired lumberyard operator.

Evans, Fay L.

Fay L. Evans, 77, of Norman died Wednesday, November 16, 2005 in Norman. He was born December 30, 1927 to Alex Robert and Rosalee (Whisenant) Evans in Waters, Arkansas. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving with the Occupational Forces Unit in Japan from 1946 to 1947. He married Anna Luker on July 4, 1951 whom he loved very much. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #123 in Bluffton, AR for over 50 years. He entered into fraternity of Masons in 1954 and in 1955 he achieved Master Mason. He and his family moved to Norman in 1968. For three years he was an assistant scout leader for Boy Scout Troop #227. He enjoyed sharing his childhood experiences and outdated scouting techniques. There is no telling how many times he turned his head when he noticed a can of lighter fluid pulled from a pocket while trying to start a fire in the rain. He was a master carpenter and a jack-of-all-trades. He could fix anything from rewiring the entire electrical system of his brother-in-law's car to building something his wife saw in a catalog. He loved to work with his hands. Fay retired from construction in 1986. After his retirement, he enjoyed working craft shows with his wife. He would cut out the wooden pieces and she would paint them. Fay also enjoyed camping out with his grandchildren letting them get dirty as they wished while the moms and grandmother shook their head. He enjoyed fishing especially with his brothers-in-laws. He joined Immanuel Baptist Church in 2000. He could be found every Thursday playing dominos and telling his fellow players they were playing like "old women" just to get something started with the ladies he knew were listening. He made the world a better place by sharing his sense of humor where he went.

He was preceded in death by his parents his wife of 48 years a brother, Freddy Ray; two sisters, a baby girl and Flora Sherrill and a grandson, Jason Dale Churchwell.

He is survived by his son, Robert (Mitch) Evans of Afghanistan; his daughter, Judy Churchwell and husband, Earl Norman; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren a brother, Robert (Lynn) Evans and wife, Joyce of Bluff ton; three sisters, Mae Daniels of Leland, MS, Lillian Keys of River and Kathryn Lundsford of Danville.

Services were held on Monday, November 21, 2005 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Ken Huddleston officiating. Burial was at Norman IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Primrose Funeral Service. He was a member of the Rogers-Rye VFW Post 2283 of Russellville and a member of the Life Center Church.

Survivors include, his wife Elizabeth Betty" Evans of Russellville, AR; four sons, Kraig Evans of Ola, AR, Keith and Jeannie Evans of Fort Worth, TX, Cliff Nytko of Russellville, AR and Jeff Galli and Brad Murdock of Aurora, CO; five daughters, Kimberly Evans of California, Laura Boisvert of Muskegon, MI, Kelly and Dennis Wade, Russellville, AR, Stephanie and Travis Brewer of Clearlake, TX and Karen & David Carothers Pottsville, AR; 21 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral service was September 15, 2003 at the Life Center Church in Russellville, AR with Rev. Larry Pyle and Rev. Steve Pyle officiating.
