Emberson, Robert Curtis

Robert Curtis Emberson, Jr. age 70 of Booneville, AR passed away July 7, 2005 in Fayetteville, AR. He was born February 27, 1935 in Magazine, AR. He was an apartment manager and an Army and Navy Veteran and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

He is preceded in death by a brother James Emberson and a sister, Clara Love.

He is survived by a daughter, Terry Fleming and her husband, J.B. Fleming of Havana, AR one stepdaughter, Gerri Coleman of Batesville, AR three grandchildren, one great grandson, Lucas Fleming and several nieces and nephews.

DARDANELLE Ruby Nell EMBERSON, 76, of Dardanelle died Tuesday, March 27, 2007, in Conway. She was born Oct. 16, 1931, in the Slo Fork community to Ray Opal and Daisy Tilmon Ward. She was a former secretary for Farm Credit Services in Danville and was a member of Dardanelle Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Ray Parker of Belleville.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Floyd EMBERSON of Dardanelle; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bob Parker, and James and Nancy Parker, all of Dardanelle; a daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Danny Wilker of Pottsville; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Kitty Johnston, and Betty and Pete Wallace, all of Dardanelle; a brother and sister-in-law, Opal Ray and Laverne Ward of Dardanelle; four grandchildren, Cindy Parker of Dardanelle, Steve (Troy) Parker of Russellville, and Joshua and Benjamin Wilker of Pottsville; and four great-grandchildren, Dalton and Eve Parker of Russellville and Jackson and Daisy Parker of Dardanelle.

Emberson, Ruby Nell

Ruby Nell Emberson, age 74 of Ola, died Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at Atkins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born September 17, 1931 at Yell County to the late Reece Eull and Iva Lou Dicks Floyd. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Ola.

She is preceded in death by a brother, Odell Floyd and a sister, Syble Dale.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Daniel Emberson of Ola; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Danny and Lynn Emberson of Evansville, IN, Jimmy Emberson of Ola, Alan Emberson of Ola; daughter and son-in-law, Judy Kathy and James Marcoe of Russellville, brother, Glen Floyd of Rover; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 14, 2006 at the Assembly of God Church in Ola with Rev. Norman Chenowith officiating. Internment was in Sandlin Cemetery. Albie Pitts Emberton, 39, of Danville died Thursday, October 9, 1980 at his home. He was a native of Pulaski, Tenn., son of the late Orbal Paul Emberton, and was an upholsterer.

Sherman "S. D." Embry, age 80, of Ft. Smith, AR formerly of Dardanelle, AR died Sunday, September 9, 2001 in Ft. Smith. He was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Ft. Smith, a retired construction worker and an Army Veteran of WWII. He was the widower of Beatrice Embry and Sandra Embry.

Survivors include daughters, Doris McCutchin, Marsha Williams and Vanessa Stark all of Ft. Smith, Deirdre Embry, Rochelle Brown, Stephanie Brown all of Russellville, Yolanda Cornell, Kalamazoo, MI; sons, Sammy L. Johnny Lee Emery, age 61, of Plainview passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012 at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith. He was born November 8, 1950 in Wynn, Arkansas to Sylvester Junior Emery and R. B. Solley Ball. He was owner of Johnny Emery Trucking, Inc. He loved working in the woods and riding his Harley. He was a wonderful husband and father and was very passionate about God and his faith.

He was preceded in death by his mother, R. B. Ball; brother, Frank Ball.

Joseph Henry Emery age 49 of Pottsville died Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. He was born December 19, 1964 at Danville to Paul and Sylvia Rose Emery. He was a member of the Gateway Pentecostal Church in Russellville. He loved hunting, spending time with family and tinkering with automobiles.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia Emery.

Emery, Lola

Lola Emery, age 84 of Story, departed this life in her sleep at a Russellville Nursing Home September 6, 2005. She was born November 21, 1920 in Story to Cornelius "Nealey" Qualls and Johann Cearley Qualls. Lola married Walter Emery February 2, 1941 at Story. She was a member of the Refuge Baptist Church in Story. She retired from Indianapolis Glove Factory.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, her parents, "Nealey" and Johann Qualls, her husband Walter Emery and her son Glen Allen Emery.

Survivors include one Sister, Doris Ebbs of Florida, one daughter and son-in-law, Rona and David Dodd of Russellville eight grandchildren seven great grandchildren, and a daughter-in-law Mary Jane and her husband Buddy Wilson.

Services were held September 10th at Refuge Baptist Church in Story with Rev. Ronny Noles and Rev. Tommy Jones officiating. She was preceded in death by a twin brother, Bobby Wayne Rose, a grandson, James Michael Emery, three half brothers, Cecil, Earl, and Odell Noblett, three step brothers, Frank, Jake, and Tommy Noblett, and a step sister, Dellia Ward.

Survivors include three sons, Joseph Emery and Kenneth Emery of Dardanelle, and Michael Emery of Russellville; Two daughters, Barbara Emery and Angie Emery of Ola, one brother, James Rose of Dover, a half brother, Harold Noblett of Danville; four half sisters, Betty Norse and Mamie Rogers of Belleville, Rachel Burfield and Jocie Ross of Ola, ten grandchildren, and a host of nephews and nieces.

Martin C. Engelbrecht, age 75, a resident of Russellville, AR died Tuesday, April 20, 1999 at home. He was born on June 11, 1923 at Gascanade County, MO to William and Gertrude (Roberts) Engelbrecht He married Mary Lucille Qualls Engelbrecht on September 7, 1964 in Independence, MO. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII, retired in 1983 with Pacific Intermountain Express Trucking Company after 35 years in long hauling. He was a member of the Teamster Union Local 41 in Kansas City, KS and a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lucille Engelbrecht of Russellville AR; two sons, James Engelbrecht and William Engelbrecht; one brother, Robert Engelbrecht of Lexington, MO and one sister, Athea Dowler of Bland, MO.

William C. "Bill England, age 82 of Danville, died Friday, January 10, 2003 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was born February 14, 1920 in Many Island, Arkansas to the late Samuel Nelson and Emily B. Martin England. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and former owner of England Tire Shop in Morrilton & Plainview. He worked in the CCC camps during WWII.

James M. English, 89, of Casa, died Monday, January 24, 2005 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was born May 25, 1915, at Scottsville, to Albert Sidney and Sallie Sanders English. Early in his life he attended the Phoenix Free Will Baptist Church on Buck Mountain. He was a former employee of Alcoa in California and was a farmer for many years while living in Casa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Addie Mae Stokes English; and two brothers, Releus and Lawrence English.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Higley of Russellville and Paulette Hall of Casa; a stepdaughter, Carolyn Walker of Anchorage, AK; three grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a great-great grandchild and other relatives and friends.
