Allen, William Bailey

William Bailey Allen died October 22, 1955, after a long illness. Mr. Allen was born May 25, 1866 in Banks, Ark. He was married to Georgia Ann Benefield in 1900. To them six children were born, four of whom are still living.

He is survived by two sons, Bige Allen, Pickens, Ark., Buck Allen, Galveston, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Lizzie Luker, Bluffton; Mrs. Eliza Smith, Havana; five grandchildren, on great grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Benie A, Martin, Waldron, one half brother, Turner Terry, Havana. Alley, Ralph Wayne

Ralph Wayne Alley, age 45 of Ola, died Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at Baptist Medical Center. He was born July 7, 1960 at Mena to Ralph Lamont and Henrietta Lydia Hosken Alley. He was a member of the Ola United Methodist Church. He had dual memberships with the Petit Jean Masonic Lodge 298 and the Casa Masonic Lodge 53 He was a very good and loving father, husband, and good friend to many.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Sandy Alley of Ola; parents, Ralph and Henrietta Alley of Mena; daughter, Jessica Louise Alley of Ola; son, Jared Wayne Alley of Ola; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Marion and Kathy Alley of Canada, Donald Alley of Fort Worth, TX, Richard and Tyra Alley of Mena; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and John Herring of Mena; numerous other family and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 8, 2006, 10 a. m. at Ola Methodist church with Rev. John Zolk, Bro. Bobby Wells and Rev. Eddy Howell officiating. Interment was Saturday, July 8, 2006, 1:30 p. m. at Pinecrest Cemetery in Mena. Pallbearers were his brothers of Petit Jean Masonic Lodge 298. Honorary Pallbearers included the entire Ola Community. Allinder, Mary Mauline

Mary Mauline Allinder, age 72 of North Little Rock, passed away and went to be with the Lord on June 30, 2002 in Little Rock. Mrs. Allinder was born on May 10, 1931 in Danville, AR to Jesse Edwin and Viola E. Kelly Ball. She was a retiree of the State of Arkansas, and member of the 47th Street Baptist Church. Mary Mauline was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by many. She was a devoted Christian and loved by her church family.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert Allinder of North Little Rock; two daughters, Deanna Spencer and husband, Kenneth of Maumelle, Cindy Horton and her husband Kevin of Maumelle; one son, Malcolm Allinder and his wife Thesia of Ward. Four grandchildren, Brittany Huffman and husband Brandon, Justin Spencer, Jessica and Brandon Allinder.

Allison, Deborah Lynn (Carpenter)

Deborah Lynn Allison, age 53, of Ola died Monday, March 18, 2013 at Baptist Health Medical Center. She was born December 16, 1959 at Memphis, Tennessee to the late Michael Ernest and Dorothy Mae Warrick Carpenter. She loved to fish, knit, crochet, read, and her puppies. Most of all she loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Carpenter.

Barbara Ann Allred, age 52 of Dardanelle, died April 29, 2010 at her home. She was born March 5, 1958 in Danville, AR to the late Troy James and Shirley Ann Lusk Keener.

Allred, Claborn Elza

Claborn Elza Allred, age 76, of Ola, died Friday, April 26, 1985, in Little Rock. He was a retired farmer, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Pentecostal church.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice (Logan) Allred of Ola; one son, James A. Allred of Ola; one daughter, Brenda Lee Holland of Pine Bluff; one stepmother, Ida Allred of Quit-man; three brothers, Cleve Allred of Orlando, Fla. Bobby Allred of Louisiana and William Allred of Quitman; three sisters, Patsy Smith, Peggy Smith and Freda King, all of Quitman; four grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Allred, Claud C.

Claud C. Allred, age 82 of Dumas, AR died April 16, 1989 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was a retired salesman, an Army Veteran of World War II and a member of the Grady Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Louretha Cox Allred of Dumas.

Funeral services were held April 19 at Griffin Funeral Home Chapel with Albert Dabbs and David Goff officiating. Interment was at Bellwood Cemetery, Pine Bluff. Almand, Louise Bewley

Louise Bewley Almand, age 86, of Russellville, died Wednesday, August. 22, 2007, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was born May 6, 1921, in Yell County to Enick Basil and Ollie Bell Ewton Bewley. Louise retired from Kroger in 1980 after 28 years of service. She was a member of the Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center Auxiliary, a member of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church in Pottsville, where she was active in the women's and children's ministry, and was a member of the Historical Association.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Virgil Bewley.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, J. D. Almand of Russellville; a daughter, Mary Ellen Blount of Russellville; a half-brother, James Edward Bewley, formerly of Pottsville; two grandchildren, Thad Blount of Birmingham, Ala. and Celeste Hogan of Little Rock; five great grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.

The funeral will be held at 10 a. m. Saturday, August. 25, 2007, at the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church in Pottsville with the Rev. Thad Blount and the Rev. Howard Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service. Brenda Gail Almond, age 48, of Fort Smith, AR died Wednesday, March 24, 2004 in her home. She was head cook for Horizon Western Arkansas Counseling and Guidance. She was a member of Grand Ave. Baptist Church and a retired beautician.

Jimmy L. Alred, 53, of Dardanelle, AR died Sunday, January 14, 2007, in Russellville. He was born in Little Rock, the son of Hugh Nolan and Erma Lee Seales Alred.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.

He is survived by two daughters, Tonya Mosley of Hector, Tammy Alred of Dardanelle; a son, Jimmy Aired of Little Rock; brother, William Alred of Greenbrier; three sisters, Shirley Miller of Mabelvale, Billie Jean Pate of North Little Rock, Alice McCoy of Dardanelle and five grandchildren.

Leslie Lea Alvey, 34, of Russellville, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. The daughter of Harry Hays and Barbara May she was born February 6, 1980 in Conway. She married Zachery Alvey on June 4, 2009 at Newport, OR. She was a Paraprofessional Mental Health Supervisor with Birch Tree Communities in Clarksville. She was an avid reader and enjoyed hiking, critiquing films, contributing to HEIFER International, studying and furthering her education. Zach had recently introduced Leslie to amateur astronomy.

She was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Jesse and Tina May; her Aunt, Kay Ingle; and Step-Father, Rudy Moss.

Julia Corinne Cowger Andersen passed away Sunday, October 3, 2004 in her home in Wendover, Utah. She was born January 24, 1924 in Chickalah, AR to Edna and Neil Cowger. She was a graduate of the Class of 1941 in Dardanelle.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 36 years, Robert Andersen.

She is survived by her son, Barry Andersen of Wendover, NV; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sherrie and Ron Jardine of Hermiston, OR, Betty Kaye Orton of Salt Lake City and Bobbi and Mike Madsen of Wendover, NV; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren; three sisters, Mary and Richard Belcher of Chickalah, Rebecca and Wiley Kilgore of Ft. Smith and Betty and James Young of Fort. Worth, TX; nieces, Betty Kelley, Robin Abel, Stephanie Young, Lisa Kilgore; nephews, Rick Belcher, Bruce Belcher, Dr. Todd Young, Bob Kilgore, Larry Kilgore and Michael Kilgore; two aunts, Opal Heffington of Barling, AR and Fhroe Gremillion of Shawnee Mission, KS, cousins, Len Cotton, Margaret Hillyard and Beth Crain of Dardanelle.

Charles Henry Anderson, age 70, of Rover, passed away Monday, August 6, 2012 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was born in Rover on April 26, 1942 to Charlie and Jessie Cathey Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Anna Jewell Brown.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Anderson; children, Donnie Charles & Brenda Anderson of Rover and Dea Rae & Junior Fowler of Centerville; seven grandchildren and two great- grandchildren; nephews, Tom Brown and Pete Brown of Benton.

Clyde Bentley Anderson, Jr. age 73 of Jessieville, AR died July 29, 2000 at the Dardanelle Nursing Center. He was born May 20, 1927 in Belleville AR son of Clyde B. Sr. and Esther (Madden) Anderson. He served in the U. S. Army and was retired from Weyerhaeuser.

He is survived by three sons, Terry B. Gary and Jerry Don Anderson all of Jessieville, AR; four daughters, Carl Boling of Dardanelle, AR, Sandy Huchingson and Sue Reyes both of Hot Springs, AR and Anita Daughtery of Ft. Worth, TX; a brother, Billy Anderson of Ola, AR; a sister, Bonnie Knight of Plainview, AR; 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Anderson, Gary Van (I)

Gary Van Anderson,I, age 48, of New Blaine, AR died Saturday, March 2, 2002 at his home in New Blaine, AR. He was born December 7, 1953 in San Jose, CA. He graduated from Arkansas Tech University and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville receiving a masters degree in Speech Pathology and taught for many years in the Lamar School District. He was a charter member of the First Baptist Church in Delaware, a member of the Elizabeth Hall Masonic Lodge 215. He was an accomplished musician being able to play a dozen different instruments. At the age of 15 he started his first band with a group of his friends.

Survivors are his wife, Deanna Underwood Anderson; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary Van II and Trisha Anderson of New Blaine, AR; three daughters and sons-in-law, Gwedelyn and Mike Lawrence of Clarksville, AR, Mary and Jeffery Brown of Scranton, AR and Kerri Anderson of New Blaine, AR; his parents, Van and Mary Evelyn Wurst Anderson of Delaware, AR; three brothers, Kirby and Daniel Anderson both of Delaware, AR and Timothy Anderson of Tracy, CA; two grandsons, My chat Austin and Malachi Aaron Lawrence both of Clarksville, AR and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Services were March 5, 2002 at the First Baptist Church in Delaware with Rev. Wiley Jones officiating. Interment was in Anderson Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home of Dardanelle, AR.
