Tucker, Thomas J., Dr.

Died Dr. Thomas J. Tucker in Dardanelle, on Thursday the 4th day of March, 1875, age 42 years on the day of his death. Our beloved brother is no more with us. He died on Thursday the 4th of March after a severe attack of Pulmonary Consumption.

He bore his sufferings without a murmur, and with true Christian fortitude. A good man has fallen with his armor on; he was immersed last summer, and became a member of Christ's Church, and was one of the sweet singers of Israel. Let the sublime love of the Son for the Father ever be. Let no sacrilegious voice deride. Let no other attachment usurp your sacred dominion. Inseparable in life, so live that death, may not sever the purest love on earth, and the first greeting in the heavenly realms, will be your father and mother's joyous welcome home. C. P. T.
