Maize George, age 90, of Ola, AR passed away Friday, September 20, 1996. She was born in Danville, AR January 23, 1906 to the late John and Virgie Herring Lewis. She was well known in Ola, she was the Post Office Clerk for 30 years, owner and operator of Maize's Dress Shop, a member of the Ola United Methodist Church where she had played the violin for 65 years.
Survivors include one son, Representative Lloyd Reid George of Ola; four grandchildren, Betty G. Wood of Mobile, AL, Bonny G. Dennis of Conway, AR, Nathan V. George of Dardanelle, AR and Jasper L. George of Danville, AR; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Hazel Cooper of Little Rock.
Funeral service was held Sunday, September 22, 1996 at the Ola United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Morel and officiating. Burial was in the Mt. George Cemetery. Pallbearers were Don Dixon, George Tippin, Ritchie Tippin, Eschal Neeley, Charles Sloan, Warren Birkhead. Memorials may be made to the Ola United Methodist Church. Regina McCarrell George -- Services will be held in Hillcrest Mortuary Chapel, Monday, April 8th at 3:00 P.M. for Regina McCarrell George, age 75, who passed away April 5th, 1991 in Bakersfield. Reverend Bud Frye will officiate. Mrs. George was born in Danville, Arkansas and had lived in Bakersfield for the past 41 years.
Survivors include her husband, Jewel; daughter, Dorotha Orwig of Seven Valleys, Penn.; sons, Richard of Wofford Heights, William of Bakersfield; 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; brother, Jones P. Ingram of Los Alamitos, CA.

Richard Lum George (June 11, 1937 - Nov. 21, 2006) On a sunlight day June 11, 1937 in the little town of Danville, Arkansas, a tiny red haired boy was born at the home of his parents, Jewel Columbus George (2/17/1911-12/10/1997) and Reginal McCarrell George(7/30/19; 4/5/1991). They named him Richard Lum George (known as R.L, Rich, Richard, Brother, Uncle Red, Uncle Bozo, Pops, Dad and Grandpa). At the time of his death he resided In Wofford Heights, California.
November 21, 2006 he departed this earthly life for a fishing hole in a relaxed, pain free place on high, where he can keep an eye on the following survivors. He will he sadly missed by his wife, Diana Marie George, who was his 1st and 3rd wife. During their first marriage they had 3 sons: Anthony Mark George of Porterville, CA, who has five children. Ivy George, Zack George, Dustin George, Bailey George and Madelyn George; Richard L. George, Jr. of Bakersfield, CA, who has 3 children, Sabrina Wylie and her husband, Kyle Wylie, Michael George and Johnny George; Scott Allen George of Bakersfield, CA, who has 1 child. Amen George. He has 3 stepchildren: Theresa Marie Rambo of Kissmee, Florida, she has 1 child Crystal Leann Rambo; Timothy Charles Rambo of Sacramento, CA; Kristin Marie Winston of Sacramento, CA, her husband, Jason Winston, they have 3 daughters, Serena Winston, Veronica Winston and Evanna Winston. He is also survived by his 2nd wife of many years, Patricia (Mom) George of New Port Beach, OR., R. L. leaves a sister, Dorotha W. Orwig of Seven Valleys, Pennsylvania, her husband, William F. Orwig and their 3 sons: Randall Eugene Orwig of Carbondale, KS, his wife, Christena Ann Begeman Orwig, who have 2 sons, Nathan Randall Orwig and Nicholas Robert Orwig; William Timothy Orwig of Bakersfleld, CA; Christopher George Orwig of Taneytown, MD, his wife, Shelley Ann Hinkle Orwig, they have 2 children. Hunter Lee Orwig and Makayla Leann Orwig. He also leaves a brother, William Paul George of Bakersfield, CA, who has 3 children: Ryan Alan George of Bakersfleld, CA, his wife Denay George, they have 2 children, Rylee George and Rett George; Wendy Marie George Franke of Abileen, TX, her husband, Gary Franke, they have 2 children: Amber Franke and TyIer Jude Franke; Amy Leeanne George Hensley of Palisade, CO and her husband, Michael Hensley; and brother-in-law, Sheldon Sullivan of Bakersfleld, CA.
He graduated from East Bakersfleld High School In 1955. Worked for Safeway Stores for 13 years and later became a painter for 40 years. He retired from Steve Holloway Painting due to Illness. He was a member of Kern River Valley Elks Lodge23SB for l6 years. He spent his free time hunting and fishing and enjoyed his dog, Sara.
After cremation, a memorial service will be held at the Elks lodge in Wofford Heights on December 9, 2006, at 11:00a.m., with lunch to follow. After the luncheon the family will go to his favorite fishing spot for some quiet time and remembrance. (Submitted by: Joe George, Newspaper: , 11-21-2006)
Josephine Elizabeth Gilbert, age 83, of Pleasant Plains died Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997, at her home. Born Jan. 22, 1914, at Petit Jean, she was the daughter of the late Jeams and Roberta Green Blankenship. She was a homemaker and a member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Pleasant Plains.
Survivors include her husband, Golden Enward Gilbert; five sons, Golden Dane Gilbert, Noel Enward Gilbert, Nuel Denver Gilbert, Doyle James Gilbert and Roland David Gilbert, all of Pleasant Plains; a daughter, Inez Gilbert McDougal Reeves of Pleasant Plains; two sisters, Irene Nash and Lorene King, both of Yell County; 18 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will begin at 2 p. m. Tuesday at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Pleasant Plains with the Rev. Lester Wood officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery under the direction of Willis Funeral Service of Batesville. Pallbearers will be Jason Gilbert, Randall Gilbert, Russell Gilbert, David Gilbert, John Kelley and Randall Everidge. Honorary pallbearers will be Craig Gilbert, Joshua Grimes, Ben Kelley, Lucas Barnett, Kyler Hill and Adam Stafford. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p. m. today. Mrs. Marie Elizabeth Hunt Gilkey, age 76, of Danville died Saturday, February 22, 1992 at Yell County Nursing Home at Ola. She was a native of Bradley and daughter of the late Logan Baxter and Mary Mclntyre Hunt. She was the widow of Allie Gilkey, a retired beautician and member of the Danville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include four sisters, Neva Laster of Danville, Ila Willis of Gravelly, Bessie Wilburn of Mena and Lillie Powell of Waldron and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Monday at Danville United Methodist Church by the Rev. Sam Williams. Burial was in Earl Ladd Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Service of Danville. Mrs. Geneva Caroline Gillespie, age 98, died February 16, 1957 after a brief illness. At the time of her death she was making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Octavia Millard of Cooper, Texas. PLAINVIEW - Alycia Gillum, age 24, of Plainview, a secretary for the Corps of Engineers, died Sunday.(July, 1989) She was a Methodist. Visitation will be from 7-8 p. m. today at the funeral home.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a. m. Wednesday at Plainview United Methodist Church by the Rev. Ed Kerr. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home of Dardanelle.

Don Cody Gillum, age 87, of Pine Bluff, AR died on February 13, 1994 at Davis Life Care in Pine Bluff. He was born on June 5, 1905 in Wing, AR to the late Arthur D. and Rosalie Snipes Gillum. He was reared and received his early education in Yell County. He attended Arkansas State Teachers College in Conway. He taught school in Yell in his early adult life. He married, Sybil King on March 22, 1928 in Rover. He moved to Gould in 1945 where he farmed until his retirement in 1969, when he moved to Pine Bluff, where he continued his love for gardening for many years.
Survivors his wife, Sybil King Gillum; three sons, Dr. Arthur W. Gillum of Little Rock, Rex F. Gillum of Arlington, TX and John W. Gillum of Jackson, TN; three daughters, Betty Rose McDuffie of McRae, GA, Martha Ann Jeane of Mobile, AL and Donna L. Miller of Pine Bluff; one brother, Jeff Gillum of Okmulgee, OK; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services be Wednesday, February 16 at 10 am at the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Rev. Charles Thompson and Mr. LeRoy Wood officiating. Franz Gillum age 75, of Wing, died Wednesday morning, April 11, 1974 at the St. Vincents Hospital in Little Rock. He was a retired teacher and farmer, a native of the Poontom Community of yell County, and the son of the late John and, Mattie Tucker Gillum.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Grace Gillum; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Bryant of Maryland, Mrs. Jane Woodruff of Carlisle, and Mrs. Joan Jacobs of Virginia; one brother, Homer Gillum of Wing; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday at the Rover Cemetery with graveside services by the Rev. Harvey. Interment was at the Rover Cemetery. CARLISLE - Mrs. Grace Norman Gillum, aged 75, of Carlisle (Lonoke County), formerly of Rover (Yell County), widow of Franz Gillum, died Friday. She was a home-maker and a member of the Carlisle Baptist Church.
Survivors are three daughters, Dorothy Bryant of Gaithersburg, Md. Jane Woodruff of Carlisle, and Joann Jacobs of Richmond, Va.; a sister, Ruby Pugh of Upland, Calif. four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Mr. Homer "Jack" Gillum, Jr. of Scranton, formerly of Belleville, AR died Sunday, November 26, 1995 at Clarksville Hospital in Clarksville. He was a retired rancher and WWII Army Veteran. He was born in Wing, AR August 19, 1920 son of the late Homer and Maggie Grassland Gillum, Sr. he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Gossett Gillum, a granddaughter, Alycia Gillum, a brother, Orvil Gillum and a sister, Johnie Lou Booher.
Survivors include one son, Larry Jack Gillum of Scranton, AR; one daughter, Judy Foy of Spiro, OK; one brother, Udell Gillum of Monticello, Ar; two sisters, Reba Ryan of Plainview and Juanita Turner of Barling, AR; four grandchildren, Robert Gillum, Rhonda Love, Lance Woodson and Angela Woodson.

John "Pete" Gillum was born March 21, 1919, in Rover and died December 30, 1985, in Blythe, Cal. He was the son of the late Dr. A. D. Gillum and Rosalie Snipes Gillum. For the past thirteen years his home was Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
Funeral services were held, Saturday, January 4 at 10:00 a. m. in the Buchanan Memorial Chapel with Elder A. G. Ross, Jr. of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating. Interment was in the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the Buchanan-McClendon.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Jeanne Fost Gillum of the home in Okmulgee; two daughters, Jeanne Ann Lorne and Toni Marion Christensen, both of Glenwood, Utah; a sister, Geneva Price, West Memphis; two brothers, Don Gillum of Pine Bluff and Jeff Gillum of Okmulgee, Ok. and eleven grandchildren.

Mrs. Louise Gossett Gillum, age 59, of Belleville died July 3 in St. Edwards Hospital in Fort Smith. Mrs. Gillum was a wife and mother and a member of the Belleville Baptist Church, and the daughter of the late James S. and Nora Gossett. She was a correspondent for the Yell County Record for a number of years.

ONTARIO Tressie I. Gillum, age 88, of Ontario died October 19, 1997, at Vitas Healthcare, Riverside. She was born August 22, 1909, in Rover, Ark. and lived in Ontario for 40 years. She was a homemaker.
Ms. Gillum is survived by three sons, Bobby J. Gillum of Pine Bluff, Ark. Billy C, Gillum of Ontario and Roy C. Gillum of Pomona; two daughters, Shirley J. Cox of Winters and Joyce I. Kearney of Claremont; a brother, Charlie L. Harmon of Dardanelle, Ark.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Maxine Derrick Gilmore, age 69, of Briggsville, died Saturday, March 14, 1987, at the St. Vincents Hospital in Little Rock. She was a native of Briggsville, a housewife and the daughter of the late Edna Bogle Swaim and a member of the Briggsville Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Cecil Gilmore; three daughters, Wanda Tester of Clinton, Peggy Bates, and Rosemary Williams both of Little Rock; one sister, Ann Wisner of Bedford, TX and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Mary Lou Goltry, age 75, of Danville died Saturday, September 2, 1989 at the AMI St. Marys Regional Medical Center in Russellville, She was a native of Rover, AR, daughter of the late Daniel Ralph and Mary Jane Harris, widow of the late Charles C. Goltry. She lives most of her adult life in Muskogee, OK having lived the last one and one-half years in Danville. She was a Christian and very active in her church until her confining illness. She was a retired medical secretary from the Muskogee Medical Center.
Survivors include one daughter, Marilyn Forlenza of Danville; one brother, Lathell Harris of Amarillo, TX; three sisters, Wave Chitwood of Little Rock, Maxine Countz of Ola and Virginia Ford of Rover; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild and a host of nieces and. nephews.

Lt. Col (Ret.) Donald Ray Gossage of Boerne, TX, passed away Friday, August 27, 1993 in Kendall County, Texas, at the age of 59. He was born in Steve, Arkansas, January 25, 1934.
Col. Gossage is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Gossage; a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel Keven and Kristen Gossage and a grandson, Derek Anthony Gossage, all of Boerne, TX; his parents, Dewey and Elva Gossage of Plain view, AR and a sister, Marilyn Donnell of Jackson, Mississippi.

Clinton Green, age 89, of Ola Saturday, July 5, at Veterans Hospital at Little Rock. He was a retired farmer, son of the late Marshall A. and Rosalie McBee Green, and was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Amy Crabill Green; two sons, Junior C. Green and William L. Green of Ola; a sister, Mrs. Norma Hall of Danville, and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral was at 2:00 p. m. Tuesday at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church near Plainview by the Rev. Luther Riddle. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery by Humphrey Funeral Service. John Pascol "Pat" Green, age 83, of Plainview, AR, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 1992 at the Conway County Hospital in Morrilton, AR. He was a native of Plain-view, the son of the late Oscar and Maggie Patterson Green. He was a retired construction worker for Brown and Root Construction Company.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Alice Phillips Green; one daughter, Jean Sells of Miami, TX; three sisters, Nell Baker of Plainview, Mildred Wilson of Ola, Lois Holley of Pomona, CA; and one brother R. L. Green of Glendora, CA.

Linuel Green of Glendora, CA died February 20, 1995. He was a son of Oscar and Maggie Green. He was born in Plainview and had lived in California for 60 years.

Mrs. M. A. Green - who was born May 10, 1862 near Plainview, died at her home near Plainview Thursday, June 18. Mrs. Green joined the Methodist Church at Salem at the age of 16. She was married to Joe Green and to this union four children were born.

Mr. Loy Cecil Gwin, age 73 of Bluffton died Monday, January 2, 1995 at his home. Mr. Gwin was born December 13, 1921 in Little Texas, Scott County, Arkansas to the late Cecil and Lula Hunnicutt Gwin. He was a WWII Army Veteran and a retired fanner.
He is survived by 2 sons, Rodney Gwin of Bluffton and Cecil Gwin of Waldron; stepson, Hal Rosseau of Rover; a brother, Troy Gwin of Mt. George; 3 sisters, Eunice Kendrick of Dardanelle, Beatrice Yates of Gravelly, Allie Doughit of Gravelly; 5 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren.

Everett E. Hall, age 75, of Rt. 1, Ola died Monday, May 29, 1989. He is the son of the late Hosa Aaron and Sarah Smith Hall. He was a retired farmer, veteran of WWII, a member of the American Legion and a Missionary Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margie Lee Cathey Hall; a son, Charles Hall of Dover; a daughter, Mrs. JoAnn Foster of Danville; a brother, Hubert Hall of Danville; three sisters, Mrs. Dovie McCurry and Mrs. Nola Holman of Danville and Mrs. Bertha Reeves of Maumelle and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were Thursday at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Prank Williams and Rev. Silver Gongola officiating. Interment was in New Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers were Karl Behrend, Ken Tucker, Junior Green, Billy Green, John Dawson and Willious Cathey. Funeral arrangements were in care of Dixon Funeral Home of Danville. HOT SPRINGS - Vell M. Hall, age 79, of Hot Springs, retired from the Hot Springs Municipal Water System, died Monday. (7-23-1991) Hall was a member of Grand Avenue United Methodist Church, All-man Bible Class and an Army veteran of World War II.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p. m. today at Caruth Funeral Home. Funeral will be at 10 a. m. Wednesday at the funeral home by the Rev. Joe Wilkerson. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church or donor's favorite charity.

Mrs. Aleen Bradley Halsell of Hot Springs, formerly of Rt. Plainview, died August 27, 1986 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Hot Springs. She was born at Buckville, AR, daughter of the late Robert and Avis Housley Bradley. She was the widow of the late Odie Halsell, a homemaker and retired grocery store operator. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include; three sons, Waylen Halsell and Dewey Halsell both of Onyx, Jim Halsell of Jessieville; two daughters, Wanda LaPlante of Hot Springs, and Mary Wilson of Jessieville; three sisters, Elaine Hill, Ala Jean Harper and Lavough Harper all of Oxnard, CA; also 16 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 30 at the Valley Home Baptist Church near Hollis with Rev. Joe Anderson officiating. Internment was at the Dry Fork Cemetery near Hollis. John S. Hamilton, age 69, of Memphis, TN, died Saturday, January 18, 1992 in Memphis. He was a retired educator and Navy Veteran and the son of the late John Frank and Erma Cummins Hamilton of Plainview. He served 20 years in the Navy beginning with World War II. After retiring, he served 22 years as teacher, counselor, assistant principal and principal in Memphis schools. He later became vocational supervisor for Memphis City Schools. He was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church, Memphis Botanic Gardens and past president of Cliff Pierce Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Downen Hamilton; two sons, Stephen L. Hamilton of Memphis and Bruce N. Hamilton of Jackson, TN; a brother, Gerald V. Hamilton of Dardanelle and one granddaughter.
Services were held Tuesday, Jan. 2lst at Memorial Park Funeral Home and burial was in Memorial Park in Memphis.

Riley Hancock Dies; Services Are Incomplete
Riley Hancock, of Danville, died Tuesday morning at St. Vincent's Hospital in Little Rock. (3-17-1987) He was a part time employee of Cornwell Funeral Home. Mrs. Pearl Nichols Hardin, age 87, died May 5, 1987 at the Perryville Nursing Center in Perryville. She was a; member of the Eastern Star and First Baptist Church of Perryville.
She is survived by one son, H. G. Hardin of Lufkin TX; one brother, R. L. Nichols of Onyx; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.

Mrs. Edna Harkey, age 79, a resident of near Belleville, died at the Yell County Hospital Tues. following a short illness. Mrs. Harkey was the widow of J. K. Harkey, who died in 1956. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott McBride, and was a native of Havana. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors are three sons, Aaron Harkey, Major Lee Harkey, and Nathan Harkey, all of near Belleville; four daughters, Mrs. Malvie Crownover of Tulsa, Miss Geneva Harkey of the home, Mrs. Viola Garner of Downey, Calif., and Mrs. Raidee Hazlet of Stockton, Calif.; one step-son, Ibra Harkey of Long Beach, Calif.; three brothers, Audice McBride and Homer McBride of Havana, and Edward McBride of Ft. Smith; two sisters, Mrs. Ola Greenlee of Charleston and Mrs. Nora Swint of Texas; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Upper Spring Creek Church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Church of Christ Minister Thompson, of Benton, officiating. Miss Geneva Harkey, age 74, of Belleville, AR died Sunday, September 27, 1992 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. She was a native of Havana, AR the daughter of the late John K. and Edna McBride Harkey. She was a homemaker and a former member of the Upper Spring Creek E.H. Club and a member of the Cedar Creek Church of Christ.
Survivors include: two brothers, Mr. Aaron Harkey and Nathan Harkey both of Belleville, AR; three sisters: Raidee Hazlet of Merced, CA; Malvie Crownover of Tulsa, OK and Viola Garner of Mission Viejo, CA; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers Joe Harkey and Joe Lee Harkey and one half brother Ihra Harkey.
Funeral services were September 30, 1992 at the Upper Spring Creek Free Will Baptist Church with Mr. Garland Lipe Officiating. Burial was in the Upper Spring Creek Cemetery in Belleville. Joe Henry Harkey, 48, died in a Long Beach, Calif. hospital on November 1, 1958 after a long illness. He was a resident of Yell County, near Belleville, until moving to California four years ago. He was a member of the Baptist Church and had been employed at the Harvey Machine Co. for the past three years.

John K. Harkey, aged 83, of Upper Spring Creek passed away in a Little Rock hospital Nov. 7, 1956. He was born at Russellville but had spent most of his life in Yell County.
He is survived by his wife, Edna; four daughters, Mrs. Raidee Hazlet of Covelo, Cal., Mrs. Maivie Crownover of Tulsa, Okla., Mrs. Viola Garner of Southgate, Cal. and Geneva Harkey of the home; five sons, Ibra Harkey of Long Beach, Cal., Joe of Long Beach, Major Lee of Bellgardens, Cal., Aaron and Nathan of Belleville; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Leola M. Harkey, 81, of DARDANELLE, widow of Ibra Harkey, died Wednesday. Mrs. Harkey was a member of the Church of Christ.

M. L. (Dock) Harkey passed away in a hospital in Downey, CA, at the age of 61. He was born Feb. 2nd, 1924, in Yell County near Belleville. He lived there many years before moving to CA. He was the son of the late John K. and Edna Harkey and was a retired welder.
He is survived by his wife, Joy Gorman Harkey, of Bell Gardens, CA; a son, Johnny; a daughter, Mrs. Debbie Black, of Downey, CA; and a little granddaughter, Autumn Black. Other survivors are four sisters, Mrs. Raidee Haflet, of Merced, CA, Mrs. Viola Garner, of Mission Valejo, CA, Mrs. Malerie Crownover, of Tulsa, OK, and Geneva Harkey, of Belleville; two brothers, Aaron and Nathan, of near Belleville; a half-brother Ibra Harkey, of Dardanelle; a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by another brother, Joe Harkey, in 1958.

Nora D. HARKEY, age 101, passed away January. 5, 1988. Born Oct. 17, 1886 in Indian Territory near Durant. She came to OKC in 1911 when she married Henry E. Harkey who preceded her in death in 1938. To this union three children were born, Thelma L. North of Richmond, Va., Paul H. Harkey of OKC and Sgt. Gene E. Harkey who was killed while in service in WWII.
She is survived by 2 sisters, Mable M. Speeple of OKC and Eudah B. Askins of Weatherford; also 4 grandchildren, Gene Paul Harkey of Harrah, Donald Edward Harkey of Hurst, Tx., Karen Gay Hurst of Astoria, N.Y. and Sharon Kay Champion of Houston, Tx.; 4 great grandchildren and many very loved nieces and nephews.
She maintained her own home in OKC until she was 92 years old, when she became a resident of the Western Oaks Health Center in OKC. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Walter Ayers "Bud" Harkey, 88, of Lenexa, KS, passed away September 24, 1996, at Lakeview Village Care Center. Services will be private.
Walter was born in Russellville, AR, in 1908. He worked for Arkansas Louisiana Gas Co., retiring as an Office Manager, after more than 40 years. He belonged to the First Presbyterian Church, and the Kiwanis Club, both of Conway, AR. He also belonged to the Lions Club in Hot Springs, AR.

Roy Franklin Harmon, age 83, of Upland, died March 4, 1988 at his home. A retired zanjero with Toga Water Co, he was a native of Rover, AR and an Upland resident 61 years. He was a member of the Eleventh Street Baptist Church of Upland.
He is survived by a son, Paul F. Tony Harmon of Upland; three sisters, Tressie Gillum of Ontario and Jodymae Cathey and Lola Thaxton, both of Arkansas; one brother, Charles of Arkansas and two grandchildren.

D. C. "Babe" Harris, age 67 of Amarillo, TX died at Amarillo. He was born in Rover, AR and moved to Amarillo in 1941. He was married to Ophelia Biggs and was a transport driver for Mobile Oil Co. and a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church.
