Reynolds, Ben H.

Ben H. Reynolds, a retired saw mill operator, who died at the age of 96, October 24 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Mr. Reynolds was born October 12, 1865 in Mtn. Home and spent most of his life in the state of Arkansas. He married Nancy Katherine Rana at Paris in 1887. She died in 1935 and shortly thereafter he moved to Carlsbad to live with his children. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and of Bright Star Masonic Lodge at Dardanelle.

Surviving are three sons, Ben Jr. and D.H. Reynolds of Carlsbad, and John of Los Vegas, Nev.; six daughters, Mrs. M. P. Caldwell of Dardanelle, Mrs. Q. W. May, Mrs. H. C. Tidwell, Mrs. W. J. Bowers, Mrs. C. A. Scott and Mrs. Albert Billingston of Carlsbad; a brother, John, of Seminola, Okla.; 34 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Reynolds, Betty Sue (Bradford)

Betty Sue Bradford Reynolds, 89, of Russellville, AR, formerly of Plainview, passed away Friday, November 7, 2014 at St. Mary's Regional Med Center in Russellville, Arkansas. The daughter of George and Dora Jane Adcock Bradford, she was born May 27, 1925 in Pottsville, AR. She was a graduate of Plainview High School. She was a retired legal secretary having worked with her husband's law firm Parker Parker Law Office for many years. Betty was a member of First United Methodist Church of Russellville for over 64 years. She was active in United Methodist Woman Family Life Circle; Post Graduates and the PK Merrill Sunday School Class. She received the United Methodist Women's Special Mission Recognition Award in 1993. Betty also volunteered at the FUMC office and coordinated the bereavement meals for families in the church. Betty enjoyed riding her lawnmower and took great pride in having a well groomed lawn. She was an avid dancer. Betty will be greatly missed by her cat Miss Kitty.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Doyle Luker and Parker Parker; brothers, Bacel, Norman, Denver and Doyle Bradford; sisters, Neva Bradford and Dorothy Warren.

Survivors include her husband Winford "Wink" Reynolds of Russellville; son, Johnny Luker of Prairie Grove; daughters, Laura Miller-Bradley (Walter) of Sierra Vista, AZ, Carol McDonough (Ron)of Russellville; sister, Jane Rhyne of Dardanelle; grandchildren, Johnny B. Luker of Springdale, Wes Luker of Fayetteville, Samatha Luker of Fayetteville, Jennifer Woods of Queen Creek, AZ, Matthew Miller of Sierra Vista, AZ; great grandchildren, Nathan and Maya Luker of Springdale, Alexandria Luker of Fayetteville, Ryan Torres of Flagstaff, AZ; several step-children; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral Service was held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at the First United Methodist Chapel. Rev Gail Brooks will officiate. Reynolds, Bill V.

Bill V. Reynolds, age 69, of Melford, IN, formerly of Waveland, AR, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 1999 at his home. He was a retired machinist from Goshen Rubber and a poultry grower for Tyson Poultry Co. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Waveland and Soloman Creek Church in Goshen and the Moose Lodge.

He is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Reynolds of Huntinton, IN and Mrs. Rick Debbie) Myers of Kalamazoo, MI; one son, Dan Reynolds of Ligonier, IN and three grandchildren.

Billy June Reynolds, age 84 of Belleville, died May 30, 2009 in Bradenton, FL. He was born June 17, 1924 at Briggsville, AR to the late Doke and Lessie Pool Reynolds. He was a WWII Army Veteran and a retired carpenter.

Mrs. Delia Reynolds, age 60, of Las Vegas, Nev. passed away October 19, 1955 after a long illness. She was born near Danville on February 13, 1895.

He was a rural letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for 18 years; a Korean War veteran; a member of the Danville Masonic Lodge #41; Ola Masonic Lodge #298; and a member of the First Baptist Church in Gallatin, Tennessee, but attended the Danville First Baptist Church for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ann Reynolds; son-in-law. Bob Pigott; brother, Billy Reynolds; and sisters, Johnnie Long, Laverne Sneed, and Ruth Brunt.

Survivors include his sons, Don Q. She is preceded in death by her husband, J. H. (Jay) Reynolds; three brothers, Issac, David and Toby Rogers and a sister, Lillian Dennis.

Kimela "Kim" Rene Reynolds, 55, of Perryville passed away Monday, February 2, 2015, at the Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville. Kim was born July 29, 1959, in Amarillo, Texas, to John Donald and Alma Jane Mincher England.

Lafayitte "Sonny" Reynolds, age 64, of Dardanelle, AR died Wednesday, September 15, 1999 at the Dardanelle Hospital. He was born June 8, 1935 in Russellville to George Reynolds and the late Pearl Donahou Reynolds. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force, and retired after working as a superintendent for Cal Tech Oil Company.

He is survived by his father; two sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip and Terry Lane and Dusty and Kim Reynolds; one daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Larry Tom Jackson all of Dardanelle; a half brother, Ross Reynolds of Atwater, CA; grandchildren, Brandon and Haley Lane, Regan and Dana Lane, Jackie, Kyle and Tabie Reynolds all of Dardanelle; two step-grandchildren, Amanda Pena of Texas and Mechelle Robertson of Kentucky; one great-grandchild, Johnathan Lane of Dardanelle, AR and one step-great grandchild, Megan Benefield of Kentucky.

Vesta Helen Reynolds, age 96, of Dardanelle, AR died Thursday, December 16, 1999 at Dardanelle Nursing Center. She was born August 13, 1903 in Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Carry and Ida O'Bar Anderson. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church and a mother and homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Herbert Reynolds and three sons, J. R. Reynolds, John Reynolds and Freddy Reynolds.

Lonnie Dale Rhamy, 23, of Route 2, Haney Hollow, Dardanelle, died Saturday, September 7, 1985. He was a welder and employed at Knight's Trailers at Pottsville.

Rhine, George

George Rhine, age 87, of Dardanelle died Sunday, December 9, 2001, at Central Arkansas Veterans Hospital in Little Rock. He was born July 6, 1914 in Longmont, Colorado. He was the son of the late George C. and Hazel Huston Rhine. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII and a retired businessman who had operated dry cleaning and health food stores, and a Mason.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Bradford Brown Rhine of Dardanelle; a son, Adam Young of Independence, Missouri; a brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Juanita Rhine of Eudora, KS; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Lillian B. Clemings of Kansas City, MO, and Alma and Bill Warnock of Overland Park, KS; two step sons, George and Larry Brown and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 13th, 2:00 p. m. at Cornwell Chapel Dardanelle with the Rev. Milton Cowling officiating. The body will be cremated. Thurman R. Rhinehart, age 74, of Casa, AR died Friday, December 28, 2001 at his home in Casa. He was born May 14, 1927 in Paris, AR to the late Samuel F. and Pearl Ann Callahan Rhinehart. He was a retired welder for Waterman Industrial in Exeter, CA.

He was preceded in death by a son, Dewey Rhinehart and a daughter, Margie Elfredda.

Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Sella F. Lavitte Rhinehart; four sons, Wesley Rhinehart of London, David Rhinehart of Memphis, TN, Terry L. Rhinehart of Dardanelle, AR and Jerry W. Rhinehart of Casa, AR; a daughter, Leslie R. Sams of Dardanelle, AR; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Rhineheart, Miller "Mit"

Miller "Mit" Rhineheart of Clute, Texas, formerly of Dardanelle, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2006. He was a decorated Vietnam veteran, a devoted Wal-Mart associate, a beloved father and a prod grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his father, T. E. Rhineheart and his mother, Ruth Shankle Rhineheart.

Mrs. Anna P. Rhoades, age 91, of Gravelly, died Monday, July 20, in the Yell County Nursing Home in Ola. Mrs. Rhoades was a native of Tennessee, the daughter of the late John Wesley and Nancy Vaughn Rhoades. She was a housewife and mother.

Survivors include two sons, Wayne Rhoades and Esley Rhoades both of Gravelly; one sister, Mrs. Nany Scorbrough of California; two grandchildren- eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Rhoades, April Danielle

Miss April Danielle Rhoades, age 19, of Gravelly, AR died Saturday, October 15, 1994 at the University of Arkansas Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born April 24, 1975 in Sacramento, CA. She was a 1993 Honor Graduate of Danville High School, member of the National Honor Society, and Who's Who Among American High School Students, member of FHA, FBLA, French Club, SADD. She was a member of the Lady Little Johns Basketball and Track Teams, being selected All-District Basketball and Track and the KARV Dream Team. She was the 1991 Yell County Rodeo Queen, a sophomore Health Information Management major at Arkansas Tech University, where she was on the Dean's List. She was a member of the Chalybeate Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She worked at Fowler's Restaurant, the family owned business.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Roy Fowler and her grandmother, Zula Rhoades.

Survivors include: her parents, Bobby and Phyllis Fowler Rhoades; a brother, Aaron Rhoades; a sister, Amber Rhoades all of Gravelly; her fiance, Todd Garner of Danville; her grandmother, Sadie Fowler of Danville; her grandfather, Fay Rhoades of Gravelly; her great-grandmother, Margie Rhoades of Gravelly and several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Bernice "Tuddy" Summit Rhoades, 75 of Gravelly died Friday, February 10, 2006 at her home in Gravelly. Born September 23, 1930 in Gravelly she was the daughter of the late Richard and Ona Muncrief Jennings. She was a homemaker and mother and a member of the Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Virgle Summit; sisters, Ethel Ingles and Ruth Houchins and a granddaughter, April Rhoades.

Survivors include her husband, Fay Rhoades; son and wife, Johnny and Judy Summit of Ola; daughter and husband, Brenda and Rick Robison of Bryants Cove; stepsons and wives, Bobby and Phyllis Rhoades of Danville, Jerry and Nancy Rhoades of Gravelly; stepdaughter, Betty Surrett of Aniston, AL; sister and husband, Veora and Newt Roberson of Bluffton; seventeen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Rhoades, Buel W. "Boots"

B. W. "Boots" Rhoades age 89 of Nola passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at his home. He was born October 10, 1924 in Young Gravelly, Arkansas to the late John & Margie Fowler Rhoades. He was a highly decorated WWII Army Veteran. Boots was a cattle farmer and a member of the Mulberry Free Will Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou Morehead Rhoades and parents.

Charles Frank Rhoades, age 89, died at Colonial Hospital in Terrell, Tex. He was a native of Yell County, a prominent farmer, and a member of the United Methodist Church in Rockwall, Tex.

He is survived by his wife, Battice Lou Lofland Rhoades; two sons, Lee Rhoades of Rockwall and Dr. Joe Rhoades of Ft. Worth, Tex.; one daughter, Mrs. Ray Parks of the city; and four grandchildren.

Mrs. Doris Jenkins Rhoades, age 63 of Gravelly, a native of Livingston, TX, died Saturday, April 23, 1988 at her home in Gravelly. She was a housewife and mother and the daughter of the late Crosley and Mandy Johnson Jenkins.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Rhoades; a son Bobby Griggs of Houston, TX; a daughter, Christene Evans of Houston, TX; a brother J. C. Jenkins of Calif.; two sisters, Marie Ingle of Bluffton, pnd Lela Oliver of Freeport, TX; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. EmIey Louise Rhoades, aged 71, died October 26 at a Benton hospital. She was a native of Bluffton and a member of the Bluffton Methodist Church.

Emma Anna Rhoades, 92, of Benton, died April 3, 2010. She was born April 8, 1917 in Benton to the late William and Alwina Lenz. Emma was a life long member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Herman Rhoades; six brothers; and four sisters.

Emma is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and a sister in law in Kansas. Chapel services by Ashbys will be 10 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. Bob Warford officiating.

Fay K. Rhoades, age 93, of Gravelly passed away Monday, June 20, 2016, at his home. Fay was born September 27, 1922, in Gravelly, Arkansas to the late John & Margie B. Fowler Rhoades. He was a life- long member of the Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church and retired from the U.S. Forest Service.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife and mother of his children, Zula Ward Rhoades; second wife, Bernice Summit Rhoades; brother, Boots Rhoades; granddaughter, April Rhoades.

He was survived by his sons & daughters-in-law, Bobby & Phyllis Rhoades of Danville; Jerry & Nancy Rhoades of Gravelly; brother & sister-in-law, J.M. & Norma Rhoades; sisters, Virginia Holland, all of Oklahoma; Allie Lou Gwin of Russellville; grandchildren, Jeremy & Alison Rhoades of Delaware; Aaron & Jennifer Rhoades of Ola; Amber & Shane Parker of Knoxville; Dusty & Becky Rhoades of Gravelly; 12 great-grandchildren.

Rhoades, Frances Helen (Burgess)

Frances Helen Rhoades, 96 of Rockwall died September 1, 2007. She was born February 28, 1911, in Enloe daughter of Dr. Neal Larrimore and Carrie (Kerbow) Burgess. Helen graduated from Cooper High School in 1930, and married Lee Rhoades on March 14, 1950, in Hugo, Okla. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Rockwall.

Helen is survived by special friends: L.D. and Katie Malone of Lake Creek and Marsha Sercy, Lucy Hogg, Joe Pecina, Thomas Bennett and Bill Lofland, all of Rockwall.

She was preceded in death by her husband on April 14, 2003, and by one sister, Travis Dawson.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., September 3, at Rest Haven Fneral Home with Dr. Aubrey Patterson officiating. Interment followed in Rest Haven Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife, Kitty Rhoades; daughters, Stephanie and John Hettinger of Alexander, AR, Wendy and Dennis Neighbours of Bryant Arkansas, Terry Lane of Dardanelle, and Cindy Dixon of Dardanelle; sons, Ronald and Linda Rhoades of Huntsville, AL, Gary Van Pelt of Danville; sister, Beda Sue Hogue of Gravelly, AR; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William Tobe and Sandra Grantham of Cape Giradeau, MO; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter arriving in July.

She is survived by two sisters, Eva Mae Poindexter of Oklahoma City, OK and Lillie Ogden of Gravelly, AR; three nephews and four nieces.

Service was Monday at the Mount Vernon Baptist Church with burial at the Young Gravelly Cemetery with the Rev. Charlie Jones officiating.
