Mrs. Eva Berry Phelps, 49, died June 10, 1954 in St. Mary's Hospital in Russellville after a short illness.

Phelps, James F.

OLA - James F. Phelps, age 83, of Ola died at his home Friday, July 5, 1985. He was born in Kirksville, Mo. and was the son of the late Samuel and Rosa A word Phelps. He was a retired timber worker and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pearl Huffman Phelps of the home; three stepsons, Manuel Williams of Texas, Tony Burfield of Russellville and Charles Burfield of Ola; a stepdaughter, Louise Damon of Ola; a brother, Burl Phelps of Blue Mountain; a sister, Mildred Phelps of Blue Mountain, and a number of step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p. m. Monday at the Ola Church of Christ by Bob Fallon. Burial will be in Grave Cemetery at Delaware by Cornwall Funeral Home of Danville. Pallbearers are Billy Damon, Thomas Damon, Tony Baskin, grandsons; Thomas Damon, great grandson; Frankie Creekmore, step grandson; Larry Rose and Gary Jewell. Phelps, Pearl Lee

Pearl Lee Phelps, age 86, died May 10, 1997 in Danville, AR. She was born July 12, 1910 in Montgomery County, AR.

Survivors include two sons, Tony Burfield and Charles Burfield; one step-son, Ralph Burfield; one daughter, Lousie Damon; two brothers, Charlie Huffman and Voyd Huffman; 10 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 30 great-great grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild.

Funeral service was May 12 at the Ola Assembly of God Church in Ola with Rev. Chenowith officiating. Interment was in the Sandlin Cemetery in Ola, AR. Service by Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville. Phelps, Shirley Kay

Shirley Kay Phelps, age 59 of Ola, died Thursday, May 30, 2002 at her home in Ola. She was born in Howe, Oklahoma on August 29, 1942, to Pentecostal Ministers, Reverend Alvin and Reverend Vay Barnes Gilpin. She was born in the Assembly of God parsonage, while the attendants were singing. She was a mother and a homemaker, and a member of the Ola Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include a son, Jessie E. Phelps, Jr. a daughter, Karen Ickenroth, both of Ola; a brother, Reverend Alvin Gilpin of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a sister, Jean Lawson of Little Rock, Arkansas; two nieces, Tammy Roche, and Trisha Gilpin of Tulsa, Oklahoma and her ex-husband, Jessie E. Phelps, Sr. of Havana, Arkansas.

Funeral services were Saturday, June 1, 2002 at 10:00 a. m. at the Ola Assembly of God Church with Reverend Norman Chenowith and Reverend Jerry Schlinker officiating. Burial was in Birta Cemetery. Emma Grace Philippi, age 86, of Springfield, TN, formerly of Danville, died Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at NHC Healthcare Center. She was born May 24, 1923 in Danville, AR to the late Samuel Jones and Luna Whitecotton Mosley. She was a Methodist and a cafeteria manager for many years in the Modesto School system.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Nettie Hancock, Hazel Newman, and Bobbie Newman.

Survivors include sons, Jim and John Rogers of Springfield, TN; brother, James Mosley of Newman, GA; sisters, Louise Farrow of Danville, AR and Lillian Newman of Modesto, CA; grandchildren, Crystal and John B. Phillips, Allen

Allen Phillips, age 47, of Kingston passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, Illinois. He was born August 6, 1969, in Russellville to the late Thomas Allen & Barbara Ann Miller Phillips Sr. He was a journeyman wireman electrical and a member of lBEW 700 International Bureau of Electrical of Workers in Fort Smith, AR.

He is preceded in death by his parents, twin brother and sister, Timmy and Tammy Phillips.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Phillips; children, Matthew & Brittani Phillips of Benton; Jamie Taff of Plainview; Phia Johnson of Booneville; sister, Tommy & Kenneth Rayn of Carter Cove; brother, Todd & Jamie Lea Phillips; grandchildren, Natalie, Alexa, Bayle, Lucas, Gunner, Hunter and Lexie; and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Aubrey Phillips, age 38, died at a hospital in Pontiac, Mich. Sunday, September 2, 1951. Born in Danville, August 12, 1913, he was the son of Asgual and Minnie Vastine Phillips. He married Lydia Lebith Ball in 1935. He moved to Michigan from Yell County in 1937.

Phillips, Barbara Ann (Miller)

Barbara Ann Phillips, 70, of Plainview joined our God in Heaven on October 18, 2014. She was born to the late Paul E. and Pauline A. Westlake Miller on July 20, 1944 in Morrilton, AR.

She was preceded in death by twin children, Timothy and Tammy Phillips and her beloved husband of 48 years Thomas A. Phillips Sr. Barbara was a Christian and a long time member of First Baptist Church of Plainview. She was the owner/operator of Barbara's Beauty Shop for 15 years. Barbara was a special lady with many talents. She was an artist who loved both painting and drawing. She was also musically gifted, not only did she sing beautifully, but she could simply hear a song, then go to the piano and play the song. She also enjoyed reading her Bible, novels, poetry, cooking, sewing and going to flea markets and yard sales. However, her greatest enjoyment came from being a wife, mother, sister, grandmother and homemaker.

Survivors include: three children; Tommy & Kenneth Ryan of Carter Cove, Thomas Allen & Mary Ann Phillips of Ola, Todd & Jamie Lea Phillips of Plainview; seven grandchildren: Trey, Zach, and Connor Ryan; Mathew, Madison, Whitney and Karin Phillips; brother Paul & Peggy Miller Jr. of Ola and sister, Janet Sue & James McEwen all of Plainview; brother in-law, Mike Phillips and sister-in-law Joan Phillips both of Wyoming a host of special great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Phillips, Bert W.

Bert W. Phillips, age 62, a resident of Russellville, died Wednesday, August 28, 2002, at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. He was born January 23, 1940, at Nashville, Tennessee to the late Clarence Herbert and Jennie May Phillips. He was a member of the V. F. W. and the Kelly Heights Baptist Church. He has been an electrician at Arkansas Nuclear One for the past 20 years, and before that worked as an electrician at International Paper and Dow Chemical Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Howard L. Phillips.

Mrs. Bertha Phillips, age 81, of Plainview, died Monday, September 21, 1987 in Pinedale Nursing Home at Newport. She was born September 13, 1906 in Punkin Town near Briggsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Phillips and two sons, Bill and John Phillips. She was a retired employee of Rose's Nursing Home in Mena.

Phillips, Betty Louise (Harris)

Betty Louise Phillips, 79, of Booneville, Arkansas, passed from this life on Thursday, April 21, 2016, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born March 11, 1937, in Lepanto, Arkansas to William and Betty Harris. She was formerly the co-owner of the Ray Phillips Saw Mill in Havana. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, sewing and spending time with family, especially the grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Asher Phillips; siblings, Grady Harris, Marie Walker, James Harris, Paul Harris and Pat Kirtley.

Graveside services were held on 2:00 P.M., Monday, April 25, 2016, at Hill Cemetery in Appleton, Arkansas, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

Phillips, Eva Ruth

Eva Ruth Phillips, age 67, of Russellville, AR, formerly of Havana, AR went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ after a long illness on Friday, March 9, 2007 at the Dardanelle Hospital. She was born March 31, 1939 in Atoka, OK to John Marcus and Carrie Alma Washburn Moats. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother who cherished and loved her children and grandchildren dearly and was a Baptist and homemaker.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Bruce Allen Phillips and Dwight Warren Phillips; her parents Mr. and Mrs. John Moats; a sister, Roberta "Dean" Barnes and two brothers, Kenneth Moats and Wayne Wiley.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Paul Phillips of the home; four sons and daughters-in-law, John and Sandra Phillips of Pottsville, AR, Jerry Paul and Pamela Phillips of Rohnert Park, CA, Major Jimmy and Laura Phillips of Heidelberg Germany and Jason and Tabitha Phillips of Belleville, AR; three daughters and sons-in-law, Paulette and James Crabill of Dardanelle, AR, Carrie and Ray Coulson of Oakmont, PA and Connie and Jeremiah Tinsley of Glendale, AZ; three brothers and sisters-in-law, including her favorite twin brother, Albert and Becky Moats of Danville, AR, Hadden and Margarita Moats of McKinney, TX and Doug and Clarenda Moats of Ola, AR; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Elizabeth and George Sugita of Dixon, CA and Alice and Paul Tygart of Ward, AR; 23 grandchildren and one great-grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.

Phillips, Fred H

Hon. Fred H Phillips, died June 13, 1911, in Little Rock at St Vincentss Infirmary due to complication of malaria fever and acute articular rheumatism which had confined him to the hospital for little over a week. Obit in bad shape. Partial information: He was Commissioner of Mines, Manufacturers and Agiriculture for Arkansas. At age of 21, he was appointed Deputy Circuit Clerk of Yell County and later was elected to this office 4 years later.

Phillips, George

George Phillips, age 72, lifelong resident of Dardanelle, died Saturday, November 17, 1973 at Dardanelle Hospital. For a number of years he was associated with the Planters Cotton Compress Co. at Dardanelle from which he retired. Presently he was Dardanelle City Recorder. Mr. Phillips was a native of Dardanelle, a son of the late Fred H. and Mabel Cole Phillips. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dardanelle. His wife, Mrs. Reba Cornwell Phillips, died in March 1969.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Leroy Wilson of Lonoke; two brothers, Fred Phillips and Frank Phillips, both of Little Rock; and two grandsons.

Funeral services were held at the Cornwell Chapel at Dardanelle Monday afternoon at 2 o clock with Rev. Frank Clemmons, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Dardanelle, officiating. Interment was at Brearley Cemetery. Active Casket Bearers were Harrison Apple, Bunny Croom, Bruce Judkins, Venus George, Ed Love, Bill Finley. Walter. Phillips, Herman R.

Herman Phillips, 76, of Emerson, Arkansas passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Magnolia Regional Medical Center in Magnolia. He was born on June 17, 1936 in the Walkerville community, near Emerson, Arkansas to the late Elliott Asbury and Alma Lee (Dailey) Phillips. He was a retired grocer and loved feeding and watching wild birds.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Martha Lynn (Hunnicutt) Phillips; and a daughter, Marjorie Daniel.

He is survived by three sons, Ben Phillips and wife Kayla of Magnolia, Ken Phillips of Emerson, Ronnie Phillips of Little Rock, Arkansas; granddaughters, Jennie Phillips of Magnolia, Julie Phillips and Sarah Phillips both of Emerson, Amber Jackson of Little Rock, Brittney Orren of Monticello, Arkansas, Courtney Phillips of Camden, Arkansas, Rebecca Aaron of Oklahoma; grandson, Nathan Daniel of Plano, Texas; sister, Lewayne Lamb of North Richland Hills, Texas; two brothers, Sherwood Phillips and wife Carolyn of Waldo, Arkansas, Ed Phillips and wife Sue of Rosston, Arkansas; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Memorial Park Cemetery with the eulogy given by Ben Phillips. Burial will be under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., of Magnolia. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. J. L. Phillips, age 87, a retired farmer of West Chickalah, died at his home Tuesday evening at 4:15 following double pneumonia. He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church at Gum Springs. He was survived by two sons, Bert Phillips of Kansas City, and Ashley Phillips of West Chickalah; three daughters, Mrs. Carmen Parks of West Dardanelle, Mrs. Cyble Moss of Danville, and Mrs. Beatrice Curtis of Oklahoma and 23 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.

Jack Phillips, age 81 of Dardanelle, died Saturday, July 5, 2008 at Dardanelle Nursing Center. He was born October 18, 1926 at Dardanelle to the late Ashley and Opal Phillips. He was a truck driver and a Navy Veteran.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Gracie May McCoy.

Mr. Jerry H. Phillips, age 62, of Russellville, AR died Friday, October 31, 1997 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was a retired assistant Fire Chief with the Russellville Fire Department. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church. He was born June 19, 1935 in Russellville, AR to the late Henry M. and Ada Bowles Phillips.

John was preceeded in death by two infant brothers Dwight Warren and Bruce Allen, a sister Connie Tinsley, Mother, Eva Moats Phillips and Father, Paul Phillips.

John Frank Phillips, age 51, of Plainview died October 14. He was a native of Plainview and the son of the late George W Phillips and Mrs. Bertha Blankenship Phillips of Plainview. He was a disabled Veteran of the Navy.

Lionel Bert Phillips, age 76, Lees Summit, Mo., a native of the Sulphur Springs community, died Wednesday, May 31, 1978 at a Kansas City, Mo. hospital. He was a retired employee of the Benedix Aviation Corp. and was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Phillips, Mable Love

Mrs. Mable Love Phillips, aged 70, died at her home on South Third Street at an early hour last Friday morning, February 17th, 1950. She was the widow of the late Fred H. Phillips, former Yell County and State official who died in 1911, and a daughter of the late George W, and Frankie Cole, early settlers of Dardanelle. Endowed with a beautiful character, loving, kindly and sympathetic, Mrs. Phillips lived a life of Christian goodness and usefulness, and won for herself a secure place in the devotion of her neighbors and friends. She was a member of the Methodist Church, active in its endeavors and true always to the Master she loved and served from girlhood days to the final summons.

She is survived by three sons, George Phillips, of Dardanelle, Fred and Frank Phillips, of Little Rock; four sisters, Mrs. Ben L. Cunningham, of Dardanelle, Mrs. L. D. Murphy and Mrs. W. E. Doan, of Portland, Ore. and Mrs. T E. Aikin, of Compton, Calif.; and two brothers, Murray Cole of Berwyn, Ill. and Burke Cole, of Compton, Calif.

Mrs. Martha Byrum Phillips, age 84, of Ola died Thursday, January 2, 1975, at the Yell County Hospital in Danville. She was a retired civil service employee and a Free Will Baptist.

Survivors include three sons Eugene Byrum of Russellville, Clyde Byrum of Porterville California, and Herman Byrum of Gooding, Idaho; a daughter, Mrs. Ora Lee Bittle of Ola; a twin sister, Mrs. Suzie Bewely of London; 21 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
