Paniagua, Nelson Ruiz

Nelson Ruiz Paniagua, age 29 of Ola, AR died Saturday, August 31, 2002. He was born October 5, 1972 in Ozatian, El Salvador to Oscar Ruiz and Maria Isabel. He was an employee of Petit Jean Poultry in Danville, AR and a Catholic.

He is survived by his parents, Oscar Ruiz and Maria Isabel of El Salvador; two sisters, Maria Paniagua of Ola, AR and Rosa Paniagua of VA and two brothers, David Ruiz Paniagua and William Roberto Paniagua both of Virginia. Panther, Forrest

Forrest Panther, Russellville, died Friday, August 12, 2016. Born October 17, 1955, to Kenneth and Dora Panther in Hereford, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Daryl Panther.

Survived by his son, Travis Panther and fiance, Nikki Dawes; sister Linda Riley; sister and brother-in-law Cathy (Wesley) Layman; brother Billy Panther; brother and sister-in-law Kenny (Wendy) Panther; brother and sister-in-law Mike (Vickie) Panther; sister and brother-in-law Robbi (Scott) Kavalek; Grandma Gwen Payne and countless friends. Former Air Force Master Sergeant, he proudly served the United States military for almost 17 years.

Pantier, Dorothy Hembree

Dorothy Hembree Pantier, age 78, of Danville, AR died on Tuesday, March 12, 2002 at St. Vincent's Infirmary, Little Rock, AR after a short, but valiant battle with cancer. Dorothy was born August 13, 1923 in Poteau, Leflore County, OK to the late William Ernest and Ora Victoria Hembree. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, friend and businesswoman.

She graduated from Heavener High School, Oklahoma and received her B. S. at the University of Oklahoma in 1943, graduating Summa Cum Laude. A member of the Danville United Methodist Church since 1954, Dorothy's servitude was exemplified in numerous ways. She was a member of the United Methodist Women and a current member of the Administrative Council. Active in local community affairs, Dorothy was a Girl Scout leader, and past president and current member of the West Yell County Cancer Board, known and loved for her organization of local, successful fundraising bake sales which included her popular and delicious cinnamon rolls. Dorothy was an avid golfer, bridge player and a dedicated grower of orchids. She also enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and was devoted to her husband Jim.

Survivors include her husband James Robert Pantier of Danville; three sons, LTC (R) Robert Pantier of Canton, Michigan, Brian Pantier of Rogers, AR, and Mark Pantier of Oklahoma City, OK; one daughter and son-in-law, Martha Pantier Tehan and Robert Tehan of Edmond, OK; five grandchildren, Hank Pantier and wife Mary, Jonathan Pantier, Seth Tehan, Whitney Tehan and Todd Pantier.

Funeral services were Thursday, March 14, 2002 at 10:00 a. m. at the Danville United Methodist Church with Rev. David Hawkins officiating. Burial in Earl Ladd Cemetery, Danville. Pantier, James Robert

James Robert Pantier, age 83, of Danville, Arkansas departed this life on Monday, June 7, 2004 at home after a long and blessed life. Jim was born June 4, 1921 in Arkansas City, Kansas to the late Guy Robert and Ruby Ely Pantier. He was a stalwart in his family, working ever hard to take care of his family.

He graduated from Mangum high school in Mangum in Mangum, Oklahoma, later moving to Norman, Oklahoma where he attended the University of Oklahoma with a major in accounting. He had to leave OU, three hours short of receiving his degree, since his ROTC group was called to attend the University of Oklahoma with a major in accounting. He was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the U. S. Army where he was assigned to the 227th Field Artillery Battalion, 29th Infantry Division. Lieutenant Pantier landed on Omaha Beach in Normandy, France during operation Overload in June 1944 and later fought in France and Germany during World War II. He was wounded in June 1944 and again in October 1944, the first by a German tank and the second, after being shot from a church bell tower in Sittard, Germany. He was awarded two purple hearts for his wounds. At the end of World War II, he returned to Heavener, Oklahoma to learn the automobile business from his father-in-law, W. E. Hembree who with him in 1954, bought the Chevrolet dealership in Danville, Arkansas. He retired from Pantier Chevrolet Company in 1985 to the golf course and to the everyday companionship of his devoted wife, Dorothy. A lifelong Methodist and member of the Danville United Methodist Church since 1954, he served as Chairman of the Board of Stewards and was honored with an emeritus membership on the Administrative Council in 2000. He was on the 1965-66 building committee responsible for building the present church. For many years, he was a member of the Danville e Lions Club, the Arkansas Automobile Dealers Association and the West Yell County Cancer Board, holding various service positions in each organization.

His greatest joy and deepest love was his wife and lifelong partner Dorothy, having married her on November 21, 1943 and who died on March 12, 2002. His greatest pride was his children whom he loved and for whom he sacrificed to be sure they were taken care of and given life's opportunities.

His survivors include three sons and one daughter-in-law, LTC (R) Robert and Mary Pantier of Canton, Michigan; Brian Pantier of Rogers, Arkansas; and, Mark Pantier of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one daughter, Martha Pantier Tehan of Edmond, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Hank Pantier and wife Mary; Jonathan Pantier, Seth Tehan, Whitney Tehan, and Todd Pantier; and one great-granddaughter, Abigail Pantier.

Funeral services were held June 10, 2004 at the Danville United Methodist Church with David Hawkins officiating. Burial was at the Earl Ladd Cemetery. Pantier, Ruby G. Ely

DANVILLE - Mrs. Ruby G. Ely Pantier, age 82, of Danville died Wednesday, May 15, 1985. She was a native of Ardmore, Okla. daughter of the late John M. and Martha J. Ely, and was an interior decorator.

Survivors include a son, Jim Pantier of Danville; two brothers, John Ely and Howard Ely of Ponca City, Okla. two sisters, Grace Covington of Overland Park, Kan. and Evelynne Nimrod of Ponca City; four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Papasan, Alvin

Alvin Papasan, age 83 of Danville, died Monday, August 15, 2005 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was born April 22, 1922 in Guion, Texas to the late Marvin and Odie Nevada McMillon Papasan. He was a construction inspector for the Arkansas State Highway Department and a member of the First Baptist Church in Danville. He was always athletic and participated in basketball and track at his tiny high school in Ovala, Texas. He won events at the Texas High School State Track Meet in 1937. Because of his size and speed he accepted a full football scholarship to New Mexico A & M. He started at halfback in the first football game he ever saw. His greatest joy in his later years was watching his grandkids play their ballgames. His hobby for many decades was raising registered foxhounds. He and Jo operated Fourche River Kennel as long as he was able. His kennel produced what is considered one of the greatest foxhounds of all time in "Fourche River Rambler". Jo will continue to hold the license to their kennel.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Donnie Eppler and a stepmother, Lucy Papasan.

Survivors are his wife of 66 years, Jo Papasan sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Dorothy Papasan of McAlister, OK, Tommy and Christy Papasan of Danville daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Dale Eppler of Tyler, TX sister and brother, Melba and N.T. Conner of San Angelo, TX nine grandchildren, Gregg Eppler, Brett, Matt, Drew, Billy, Clifton and Carmen Papasan and Stormy Bryant and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at 2:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Danville with Rev. Jamie Staley and Rev. John McAnally officiating. Parker, Bertha Marie

Bertha Marie Parker, age 91, of Delaware died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at Delaware. She was born January 13, 1913, in Wild Cat Hollow, Arkansas to the late George and Martha Roulston Bowman. She was a preschool teacher and an assistant director for ARVAC Child Development. She had been a member of the Delaware First Assembly of God Church since 1925.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sebern Parker.

Beulah Stine Parker, 95, of Alma, formerly of Belleville, passed away on August 10, 2007 in a local hospital. She was born April 11, 1912 in Sulphur, LA, to the late Arthur and Bessie Hamburg Stine. She was a member of Alma First Baptist Church, a retired school secretary for the Belleville School System and the widow of Robert J. Parker.

Bobby Lee Parker, age 69, of Perryville, AR died Saturday, July 12, 1997. He was born in Stafford (Yell County) Arkansas April 2, 1928, son of the late Cecero and Grace Linebarger Smith Parker. He was a retired security guard and a WWII Navy Veteran.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Earl Parker.

Survivors include several aunts, nephews and nieces.

Parker, Charles Weldon

Charles Weldon Parker, 78, of Verdigris, went to meet his Lord and Savior on January 30, 2009. He died at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa surrounded by family and friends. He was born April 29, 1930, in Yell County, Ark., the son of the late Frank and Lena Parker. He retired in 1993 after 27 years of service as an aircraft mechanic for American Airlines in Tulsa. His favorite hobbies were fishing with his friends and gardening. Mr. Parker was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Verdigris.

He is survived by his son, Randy Parker, of Owasso; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Michael Grimes of Verdigris; granddaughter, Jessica Allen of Verdigris; step-grandsons, Andrew Grimes of Owasso; Jonathan Grimes of Verdigris; sister, Era Mae Lawrence of Owasso; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Harold Gillum, of Rover, Ark.; nephews, Rick Lawrence of Tulsa; John Gillum of Benton, Ark.; Danny Gillum of Rover, Ark.; Kenny Gillum of Springdale, Ark.; and niece, Joan Lawrence of Tulsa. Mr.

Parker was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Euel Dean, and his brother, Glyndal.

Funeral Services will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow on Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at 3 p.m. with Pastor Scottie Titsworth officiating. Charles Weldon (Dick) Parker, 78, of Verdigris, OK died January 30, 2009 in Tulsa. He was born April 29th, 1930 in Gravelly, AR, son of the late Frank and Lena Yates Parker. DANVILLE - Cicero George Parker, age 82, of Danville died Monday, March 11, 1985 at his home. He was a native of Belleville, son of the late Tom and Lila Copeland Parker, a Mason and a Baptist. He was retired from the U. S. Forest Service.

Mrs. E. Deane Parker, age 67, died Monday, December 22, 1997. The longtime Claremore, OK resident was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Verdigris.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jewell Lofland of Gravelly, AR; father, Addison Payne of Tulsa and step-brother, J. R. Payne of Mannford.

Earvel Parker, age 74, of Selma, brother of Mrs. Myrtle Chambers of Dardanelle, died Saturday, August 3, 1985. He was a retired timber worker.

Parker, Eddie L.

Eddie L. Parker of Bella Vista, age 69, died on August 10th, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. Eddie enjoyed capturing the essence of life in his photography that he pursued throughout his years. Eddie was the son of the late Julia and Ernest Parker.

Eddie was survived by his two sons Keith and Jeffrey Parker, and his four daughters Robin Hardy of Bella Vista, Tammy Johns and husband Joseph Johns of Briggsville, Jennifer Peralta and husband Ed Peralta of GA, and Wendy Cryder and husband Joshua Cryder of VA. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren. Elizabeth and Wesley Hardy, Dixie and Clayton Johns, Jennifer, Megan, Jillian, Marco, Isabella, and Olivia Peralta, Hayley Shook, Spencer Parker, Jesse Crabb, Colton Mayo, and one great grandchild Adrienne Hardy.

Parker, Elvin L. "Red"

Elvin L. "Red" Parker, age 74, of Ola, AR died Friday, June 4, 1993 at his home. He was an Army veteran of WWII and a retired guard at the Pine Bluff Arsenal. He was a member of the Birta Missionary Baptist Church, Petit Jean Masonic Lodge and Disabled American Veterans. He was a native of Havana and the son of the late Ollie and Viola Weldon Parker.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Benefield Parker; two sons, Ed Parker of Kingwood, TX and Doug Parker of Henderson, Nevada; a brother, Virgil Parker of Altheimer; a sister, Christine Williams of Stuttgart; six grandchildren; one great- grandchild; several nieces and nephews and close friends, Matthew and Alana Patterman of Ola.

Emmer Mary Parker, age 81, a long time resident of Havana, died Wednesday at Fairfax, Okla. She was a member of the church of Christ.

Fred J. Parker, 61, of London, AR, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, AR. The son of Joe Bill and Violet Jewel Burdine Parker, he was born July 13, 1951 in London, AR. He married Cathy J. Parker, on April 17, 1971 in Lamar. He attended Russellville First Assembly of God Church. Fred was a lifelong rancher with a true appreciation of the outdoors. If he was not working you could find him roping, fox hunting, fishing or riding his horse Grey. Fred always held a special place in his heart for his girls.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother in law, Thomas Miller. Parker, Geneva Faye

Geneva Faye Parker, age 86, of Russellville, died Monday May 17, 2004 at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. She was born January 17, 1918 at Belleville, AR to the late Henry Edward and Lelah Cooksey Kirkwood. She attended the New Blaine Church of Christ and was retired from Irish Maid Donuts of Ft. Smith where she worked as a cashier.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Eugene Parker and a son, Joe Edward Blankenship.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Sherrlene Parker of New Blaine; one daughter-in-law, Tonona Stone of New Blaine; one grandson, James Edward Blankenship of Van Buren; one granddaughter, Joy Faye Carter of Tulsa, OK; 6 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Graveside services were held Tuesday May 18, 2004 at Utley Cemetery at New Blaine. Brother Mack Parks officiated. Pallbearers were Richard Parker, James Blankenship, Tommy Beasley Jr. and Jimmy Moudy. Parker, Georgia Fox Hopper

Georgia Fox Hopper Parker, age 96, a resident of Wildflower Retirement Residence, Russellville, died Thursday, September 25, 2003. She was born in 1907 at Social Circle near Plainview, daughter of the late John Alexander and Laura Haney Fox three weeks before Plainview was incorporated as a town. She was the widow of Winfred Hopper who died in 1960 and Jacob L. Parker who died in 1989. She lived in Plainview for many years where she attended school. She also attended the University of Arkansas High School at Fayetteville and State Teachers College High School in Conway. She received an associate degree from Central College in Conway and a bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University at Stillwater. In her early years she taught school in Carlisle, Bradley, Caddo Gap and Havana before settling again in Plainview. She later taught school at Fourche Valley, and Ramona and Ochelata, OK. She retired to live in Plainview in 1969 with her second husband. She was a member of the Danville Music Club, Order of the Eastern Star and Plainview United Methodist Church for more than 50 years where she served as pianist/organist for many years. She was a founder of the Homecoming Club and Meals on Wheels at Plainview, and was president of the Retired Teachers of Yell County.

She was preceded in death by a brother, R. O. Fox; two sisters, Mona Fox McBride and Earline Fox Cyrus and a granddaughter, Jill Alexandra Hopper.

She is survived three sons and daughters-in-law, William L. and Betty Whitten Hopper and George W. and Louise Yates Hopper of Plainview, AR and Monte J. and Cynthia Richmond Hopper of Avon, CT; three grandchildren, Leisa Hopper Gramlich of Fort Smith, AR, Steven L. Hopper of Little Rock and Derek R. Hopper of Ambler, PA and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was September 29, 2003 at the Plainview United Methodist Church with Rev. Donna Alberts officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery by Humphrey Funeral Service. Hugh Langston Parker, age 77 of Danville, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the Arkansas Heart Hospital. He was born November 28, 1932 in Tatetown, AR to the late Archie Dow and Bertha Lea Langston Parker. He was a 1951 Danville High School graduate, a Navy veteran, 1960 Arkansas Tech University graduate, school teacher, track, basketball and football coach. He was of the Methodist faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Alice Eugenia Woodson, Wanda Louise Kilby, Betty Ann Oiler, Francis Geraldine Williams; two infant sisters; great-grandson, Thomas Vader Herzberg.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Narcia Parker; children and spouses, Lisa and Charles Engle Charton of Hector, Hugh Neal Parker of Booneville, Tommy Langston and Laura Parker of Russellville, Toby and Cindy Parker of Dardanelle; sisters, Jesse Pauline Wagner of Ft. Cobb, OK, Kelsey Maxine Noland of Union City, CA, Patsy Ruth Novitch of Haddock, GA; 12 grandchildren, Dustin Oliver, Chance Charton, Porchea Floyd, Tristan Parker, Charlee Herzberg, Chase Parker, Tuesday Parker, Chloe Charton, Daisy Parker, Langston Parker, Jackson Hugh Parker, and Madden Parker; nine great-grandchildren, Marley Floyd, Ryleigh Love, Chayden Charton, Cheyna Charton, Emmalyne Herzberg, Caileigh Carton, Locke Oliver and Aubrey Whitehouse; and 10 great-grandchild Parker Herzberg arriving in January.

Funeral services were Friday, September 10, 2010 at Ted Lyon's Gymnasium with Rev. John David Keeling and Mr. Phil Moudy officiating. Pallbearers were grandsons.
