Moseley, Linda Carol Cornwell

Linda Carol Cornwell Moseley, age 61, of Mt. Nebo died Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was born December 26, 1945 at Russellville to the late Loyd Rush and Violet Ayleen Masters Cornwell.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dr. Sammy Loyd Cornwell; stepfather, Glenn Bailey.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, "Skip" James S. Moseley III of Mt. Nebo; son, "Jim" James Lloyd Moseley of Dallas; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Bobby Carr of Jackson, WI; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Ann Cornwell of Danville; step-brother, Jimmy Bailey, Jacksonville, AR; grandsons, Bryson Robert Carr and Austin James "A. J. " Carr.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p. m. Sunday, October 28, 2007 at Cornwell Chapel, Dardanelle with the Bro. John McCourt officiating. Interment will be in Brearley Cemetery at Dardanelle. Mosely, Boyce Owen

Boyce Owen Mosely, age 98, of Danville passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. He was born October 10, 1916, in Ranger, Arkansas to the late Ben T. & Leonah Reynolds Mosely. He was an Army Veteran and a member of the Danville First Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his parents; son, Don Mosely; daughter, Lorita King; sisters, Faye King and Irene Stanley; brothers, James, Raymond "Red" and Hartsel Mosely.

Survivors include his wife of 80 years, Frances Marie Mosely; sons, Tom Mosely of Brookeville, Maryland; Bob Mosely & wife Barbara of Little Rock; Todd Mosely of Little Rock; sisters Linda Patterson of Little Rock; Lucille Sweeden of Tulsa, OK; Lois Crutchfield, San Bernardino, CA; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Verna Lawrence Mosely age 81 of DeSoto, Missouri formerly of Danville died Wednesday, February 16, 2005 in Missouri. She was born December 8, 1923 in Danville to the late Joseph Gilbert and Elvira Jeans Lawrence. She was a homemaker and mother and a member of the First Baptist Church in Danville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond "Red' Mosely.

Mosley, Hartsell

Hartsell Mosley of Ranger died at a Russellville hospital Friday, November 3, 1950, three days before his 15th birthday. He had been operated on for appendicitis a week before his 15th birthday. Hartsell was a member of the sophomore class of the Danville High School and a member of the junior basketball team last year.

He is survived by his father, Ben Mosley of Ranger, five sisters, Mrs. Loyce Crutchfield and Mrs. Faye King of San Bemadino, Calif. PLAINVIEW - Mrs. Ada Lee Moss, age 83, of Plainview (Yell County) died Wednesday, March 8, 1989. She was a Baptist and the widow of Jewell Moss.

Survivors are a son, J, L, Moss of Hot. Springs; six daughters, Iva Nell Reeves of Wichita, Kan. Maggie Sue Gowen of Fayetteville, Jo Ellen Roberson of Plainview, and Lavada Linton, Linda Burnham, and Mary LaFave of Russellville; a half-brother, Jewell D. Moss, Bill Henry

Bill Henry Moss, 78, of Sanger, died Tuesday, July 18, 2000 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am Thursday, July 27, at First United Methodist Church in Sanger, with Larry Krueger officiating. Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 pm Wednesday, July 26 at Coker Funeral Home.

Mr. Moss was born September 13, 1921 in Danville, Arkansas He was self-employed as a rancher. A veteran, Mr. Moss served his country as a U. S. Marine. He was a member of the Marine Corps Association and participated in action against the enemy at Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Saipan and Tinian. He received the Asiatic-Pacific Medal with three stars, the Presidential Unit Citation with two stars, the American Theater Medal and a World War II Victory Medal.

Survivors include his wife Renna of Sanger, a daughter Erin E. Bonnie Moss, age 51 of Dardanelle, departed this life on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. She was born March 2, 1962, in Columbus, Ohio. Bonnie was a member of Restoration Church in Russellville.

Survivors include her father, Wilburn Perkins and wife Linda, of Bryant; her mother, Ivory Wright and husband Charles, of Bryant; her fiance J.D. Jones; her son, Michael Moss of Dardanelle; her daughter, Amber Welch and husband Steven of Oklahoma; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Anthony and Stephanie Jarrett of Benton and Jeff and Tonya Jarrett of Arkadelphia; two sisters, Connie Smith of Haskell and Sandy Turtley of Conway; two grandchildren, Joshua Wagner and Colby Henderson.

Earnest "Curly" Moss, age 80, of Kingston passed away Monday, May 11, 2015, at Chambers Memorial Hospital. He was born February 7, 1935, in Sunlight Bay (Plainview), Arkansas to the late Leo C. and Lissie D. Reed Moss. He was a retired truck driver for O'Neal Steel and a member of the Hilltop Church.

J.L. Moss, 83, of Hot Springs died May 17, 2011. He was born October 5, 1927 in Yell County to the late Jewell Moss and Ada Chesney Moss. J.L. served in the U.S. Army and was self-employed in the aviation industry as well as a private pilot before retiring to Hot Springs. He was a very intelligent man who will be remembered for his kind heart and strong love for his family. J.L.

was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Carpenter Moss; sister Lillian D. Moss, daughter, Deborah Lynn Moss and nephew, Richard Worsham.

Lissie Dale Moss, 100, of Plainview, died Friday, September 9, 2005 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. She was the daughter of Ship and Dosha Qualls Reed, born July 10, 1905 in Sims, Arkansas. She was a Homemaker. She was a charter member of the First Assembly of God Church in Plainview for over 65 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leo Moss, her parents, a brother Darrell Reed and a sister, Ethel May-berry and two infant sisters.

She is survived by 5 generations numbering 126 direct descendents including a son, Earnest Moss, Plainview three daughters, Virginia Ferguson, McCamey, TX, Imogene Norwood, Ola and Jewell Minnie, Plainview 23 grandchildren 55 great grandchildren 41 great-great grandchildren 3 great-great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Moss, William H. "Buck"

William H. "Buck" Moss, age 82, of Fairfield, CA died March 26, 2002. He was born September 9, 1919 in Danville, AR to the late Robert N. and Myrtle Mae Moss. He resided in Fairfield for 40 years. He served 26 years in the US Air Force, retiring in 1966 at Travis AFB, Fairfield. Following his military career, Buck worked Civil Service at Travis for several years. Although his military career took him around the world, to him "coming home" meant going to Danville to visit his family and many lifelong friends.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ruby Nell (Eden) Moss of Fairfield (formerly of Rover, AR); son and daughter-in-law, Richard N. and Cathy Moss of Carmel, CA; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Wilson (Butch) Ray of Fairfield, CA and Gena and Tim Corbett of Carmel, CA; two granddaughters, who were his pride and joy, Andrea Eden (Ray) and Glenn Viri of Fairfield, CA and Emily Moss of Carmel, CA; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Nell and Charles Manus of Chesterfield, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Lee Moss and two sisters, Reetha Massey and Helen Wallace.

Buck has kept in contact with many local people, but especially two of his lifelong boyhood friends, W. A. Kyle and Ira (Pet) Baker. After Buck's retirement, he was a very active volunteer at the Fairfield Senior Center, serving as a trustee on the board. He also served cochairman of the Senior Olympics of Solano County for many years. Buck and Ruby made many wonderful friends through their involvement in many clubs and activities at the Sr. Center. He also enjoyed playing cards, going to local casinos and watching sports of TC. Being a former Little John, on the Danville football team for four years, he enjoyed the times he was able to get back to Danville for the Fair Homecoming week.

Joe Lendell Mott, age 72, of Ola, AR died Saturday, January 1, 2000 at the Yell County Nursing Home in Ola, AR. He was born in Ola, AR September 25, 1927, son of the late Harve and Clara Reese Mott. He was a retired truck driver for the Arkansas Highway Department and a Free Will Baptist.

He was preceded in death by a nephew, Jackie Pyburn.

He was a charter member of the Union County Sheriff's Office Reserve in 1972 until his retirement in 2010. Bill also worked as a sales representative for Union Tire Company for many years. He enjoyed showing his Tennessee Walking Horses, team penning, hunting, fishing, and watching the Arkansas Razorbacks.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Linton Moudy, Paul Moudy; and one sister, Melba Patton.
