Angel Faith Parker infant daughter of Walter Lee and Jentry Melissa (Sellers) Parker of London died Friday, April 1, 2005 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Walter and Sally Edna Parker and paternal great-grandmother, Susie Avery.
Survivors include her parents; two sisters, Mariya Noel Sellers and Ember Rose Parker; one stepsister, Deanna Henson; maternal grandparents, Mark and Marisa Jackson; one aunt and three uncles.

Bertha Marie Parker, age 91, of Delaware died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at Delaware. She was born January 13, 1913, in Wild Cat Hollow, Arkansas to the late George and Martha Roulston Bowman. She was a preschool teacher and an assistant director for ARVAC Child Development. She had been a member of the Delaware First Assembly of God Church since 1925.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sebern Parker.
Survivors include a son, Terry Parker of New Blaine, AR, daughters; Wilma Parker, Bakersville, CA, Sandra Peters, Simi Valley, CA, and Juana Tapp of Russellville, AR; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held June 4, 2004 at the Delaware First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Charles Kendrick and Rev. Euel Nordin officiating. Interment was held at Garrison Cemetery. Beulah Stine Parker, 95, of Alma, formerly of Belleville, passed away on August 10, 2007 in a local hospital. She was born April 11, 1912 in Sulphur, LA, to the late Arthur and Bessie Hamburg Stine. She was a member of Alma First Baptist Church, a retired school secretary for the Belleville School System and the widow of Robert J. Parker.
Survivors include daughter, Pat Wight and husband Ed of Alma; a son, Jack and wife Pat of Austin, TX; a sister, Gertrude Stanka of Oklahoma City, OK; six grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Bob Bear Parker, 58, of Dardanelle, died Friday, November 21, 2008. Born March 31, 1950, in Russellville, he was a millwright and member of the Millwright Local Union.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Ray and Ruby Nell Ward Parker Emberson.

Bobby Lee Parker, age 69, of Perryville, AR died Saturday, July 12, 1997. He was born in Stafford (Yell County) Arkansas April 2, 1928, son of the late Cecero and Grace Linebarger Smith Parker. He was a retired security guard and a WWII Navy Veteran.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Earl Parker.
Survivors include several aunts, nephews and nieces.

Charles Weldon (Dick) Parker, 78, of Verdigris, OK died January 30, 2009 in Tulsa. He was born April 29th, 1930 in Gravelly, AR, son of the late Frank and Lena Yates Parker. He retired after 21 years of service as an aircraft mechanic for American Airlines in Tulsa. He was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Verdigris, and loved fishing and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 47 years, Euel Dean (Payne) Parker, and a brother Glyndal.
He is survived by a son, Randy Parker of Owasso, OK; daughter and son-in-law Pamela and Michael Grimes of Verdigris; sisters and brother-in-law Era Mae Lawrence of Owasso, Louise and Harold Gillum of Rover, AR and niece and nephews.

Mrs. E. Deane Parker, age 67, died Monday, December 22, 1997. The longtime Claremore, OK resident was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Verdigris.

Elvin L. "Red" Parker, age 74, of Ola, AR died Friday, June 4, 1993 at his home. He was an Army veteran of WWII and a retired guard at the Pine Bluff Arsenal. He was a member of the Birta Missionary Baptist Church, Petit Jean Masonic Lodge and Disabled American Veterans. He was a native of Havana and the son of the late Ollie and Viola Weldon Parker.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Benefield Parker; two sons, Ed Parker of Kingwood, TX and Doug Parker of Henderson, Nevada; a brother, Virgil Parker of Altheimer; a sister, Christine Williams of Stuttgart; six grandchildren; one great- grandchild; several nieces and nephews and close friends, Matthew and Alana Patterman of Ola.

Emmer Mary Parker, age 81, a long time resident of Havana, died Wednesday at Fairfax, Okla. She was a member of the church of Christ.

Geneva Faye Parker, age 86, of Russellville, died Monday May 17, 2004 at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. She was born January 17, 1918 at Belleville, AR to the late Henry Edward and Lelah Cooksey Kirkwood. She attended the New Blaine Church of Christ and was retired from Irish Maid Donuts of Ft. Smith where she worked as a cashier.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Eugene Parker and a son, Joe Edward Blankenship.

Georgia Fox Hopper Parker, age 96, a resident of Wildflower Retirement Residence, Russellville, died Thursday, September 25, 2003. She was born in 1907 at Social Circle near Plainview, daughter of the late John Alexander and Laura Haney Fox three weeks before Plainview was incorporated as a town. She was the widow of Winfred Hopper who died in 1960 and Jacob L. Parker who died in 1989. She lived in Plainview for many years where she attended school. She also attended the University of Arkansas High School at Fayetteville and State Teachers College High School in Conway. She received an associate degree from Central College in Conway and a bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University at Stillwater. In her early years she taught school in Carlisle, Bradley, Caddo Gap and Havana before settling again in Plainview. She later taught school at Fourche Valley, and Ramona and Ochelata, OK. She retired to live in Plainview in 1969 with her second husband. She was a member of the Danville Music Club, Order of the Eastern Star and Plainview United Methodist Church for more than 50 years where she served as pianist/organist for many years. She was a founder of the Homecoming Club and Meals on Wheels at Plainview, and was president of the Retired Teachers of Yell County.
She was preceded in death by a brother, R. O. Fox; two sisters, Mona Fox McBride and Earline Fox Cyrus and a granddaughter, Jill Alexandra Hopper.
She is survived three sons and daughters-in-law, William L. and Betty Whitten Hopper and George W. and Louise Yates Hopper of Plainview, AR and Monte J. and Cynthia Richmond Hopper of Avon, CT; three grandchildren, Leisa Hopper Gramlich of Fort Smith, AR, Steven L. Hopper of Little Rock and Derek R. Hopper of Ambler, PA and five great-grandchildren.

He was born November 28, 1932 in Tatetown, AR to the late Archie Dow and Bertha Lea Langston Parker. He was a 1951 Danville High School graduate, a Navy veteran, 1960 Arkansas Tech University graduate, school teacher, track, basketball and football coach. He was of the Methodist faith.

Jan Parker, 57, of Casa, AR, died Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at UAMS Hospital in Little Rock. She was born on February 10, 1953 in Morrilton and was a 1971 graduate of Casa High School. Jan worked in data collection with Information Resources. She loved the Razorbacks and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Jimmy "Jay" Parker, age 78, of Shawnee, OK died Monday, November 10, 1997 in a local hospital. He was born March 23, 1919 in Birta, AR, the son of James and Mattie Boyce Parker. He attended Bartlesville Public Schools and served in the U. S. Army from 1942 to 1946 and from 1949 to 1950 as a military policeman. He received the American Theater Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Ribbon and one service stripe. He had retired as a warehouse technician at Tinker Air Force Base. He had lived in Shawnee since 1950 and married Ethel Johnson in 1953.
He is survived by his son, Terry Parker of Shawnee, OK; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Jenni Scruggs, Shawnee, W. D. And Juanita Scruggs, Splendor, TX; sister Vonda Stephens, Broomfield, CO and ex-wife, Ethel Johnson.

Judge John M. Parker, venerable member of the local bar, who lacked but six weeks of being 94 years of age passed away Saturday morning October 9th, 1943, at St. Mary's Hospital, Russellville.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. E. W. Faulkner, Pastor of the First Methodist Church, were held at the family home on North Front Street at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, prominent attorneys and others from out of town points in this judicial District being in attendance.
Mr. Parker, who was the oldest practicing attorney in the State, was active and vigorous both physically and mentally to within a few days of his death. He was born November 24, 1849, near Danville, being the son of the late Dr. George W. T. and Matilda C. Parker, prominent pioneer citizens of Yell County. Mr. Parker's parents died during the latter part of the Civil War and he was placed under the direction a guardian. For a period of nine months, he attended school in Dardanelle. In 1868 he began the study of medicine in Nashville, Tenn., but the following year abandoned the study of medicine to take up the study of law. He was admitted to the bar in 1870 and at once entered practice at Danville, at one time being associated as partner with the late Thomas W. Pound. Mr. Parker moved to Dardanelle in 1889 and engaged in the practice of law, which profession he continued to follow up to the time of his death.
On July 1, 1875, he was united in marriage to Miss Malinda J. Woodard, who passed away in 1896. Later he was united in marriage to Miss Laura Woolbright, of Wing, who survives. Also surviving are three sons and three daughters, as follows: Herbert and Olan Parker, of Jonesboro, and Lieutenant General George I. Patton, now in the Mediterranean theatre of war; Mrs. J. N. Dowell, North Little Rock, Miss Johnnie Parker, Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Clel Gray, of Jonesboro.
Judge Parker was a man of strong convictions, a fearless champion of what he conceived to be right. He was an ardent prohibitionist and throughout his long lifetime he battled strongly against the liquor evil. He was learned in the law and diligent in its practice, and in the pursuit of his profession he amassed a comfortable fortune.
He was an earnest, faithful member of the Methodist Church, and for years teacher of a men's Bible Class. The writer knew him intimately for a long period of years; we occupied adjoining offices; we frequently discussed public issues and public men, and not infrequently we differed in our conclusions. But always we admired his learning, his wisdom and his loyalty to his cause; and we are proud that he called us friend. He has kept the faith, he has finished the course -- a long and strenuous and useful course. Peace to his ashes. John Tiley Parker, aged 59, North Little Rock, a brakeman for the Missouri Pacific lines, died Friday at a Little Rock hospital. He was a native of Paris and had lived at North Little Rock for 19 years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, the Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge at Branch.

Birta Hunter Has Fatal Attack - Lee Parker, 53, of Birta died Tuesday of a heart attack suffered as he was on his way duck hunting. Parker had parked his car off Highway 10 near Mickles and was walking across the railroad tracks toward the Petit Jean bottoms when he suffered the attack. He waved to get the attention of a railroad crew working nearby, and one of the men, J. W. Bird of Havana, left to take Parker to the hospital in Danville. Parker was dead upon examination by a doctor. He was a Mason and had been employed by Rock Island for 32 Years. He had been on sick leave for five months due to a heart condition and a gall bladder operation.

Lillie Mae Parker, age 72, of Dardanelle, AR died Monday, March 8, 2004 at the Dardanelle Nursing Center in Dardanelle. She was born June 2, 1931 at New Blaine, AR to the late Frank and Pearl Roberts Parker. She was a homemaker and a member of the Danville First Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Joe Parker.
Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Debbie Parker of Conway, AR; a brother, James R. Parker of Pottsville, AR; four sisters, Jessie Yarbrough of Danville, AR, Betty Miller of Wisner, LA, Wilma Heflin of Russellville, AR and Genevia Cameron of Paris, AR; seven grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
Services will be today, Wednesday, March 10, 2004 2:00 p. m. at Cornwell Chapel at Dardanelle with Rev. David Jay officiating. Interment will be in Graves Cemetery at Delaware, AR. Lois Parker, age 88, of London, AR died Thursday, October 26, 2006, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. A daughter of the late Benjamin and Leila Stroud Bratton, she was born March 19, 1918 in Dardanelle. She was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church near London.
She was the widow of Jock Thomas Parker, and was also preceded in death by two daughters and a son-in-law Florence and Chuck Sund and Vera Odom; two grandchildren, a brother and five sisters.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law Bill and Sandie Parker of Maraposa, California; and Herb and Teresa Parker of London; two daughters and three sons-in-law Betty and Chuck Maddox of Nevada City, California; Jane and Ron Wood of Pasadena, California; and Bud Odom of Grants Pass, Oregon; a brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Peggy Bratton of Camden; a sister, Mickey Strickland of Russellville; twenty-six grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
The funeral service was Monday, October 30, 2006, at the Flat Rock Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Charlie Bird and the Rev. Ray Brown. Burial was in Brock Cemetery near London, by Shinn Funeral Service. Active pallbearers were Arval Lee Parker, Paul Ray Parker, Earl Sanderson, Chris Donnelly, Leon Meimerstorf and Ray Loyd. Norbon "Nub" Jack Parker of Dardanelle (New Neeley community died Saturday, August 21, 1999 at his home. He was born on March 9, 1943 in Garden Bottoms to the late Monroe and Willie Manes Parker. He had been a box maker at Tyson Foods in Dardanelle.

Col. Parker Parker, retired, a local attorney and Russellville resident, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1976 at age 72. Col. Parker, son of the late John M. and Laura E. Parker, was a member of the First United Methodist church, Russellville. He was a member of the Pope -Yell Bar Association, Arkansas Bar Association, American Bar Association, Russellville VFW, in which he held a lifetime membership, a charter member of the Russellville Country club, and Russellville Lions club. He was also a past member of the Masons and P.A.D. Legal Fraternity. Col. Parker attended Meridian College academy, Asbury college academy, Asbury college, and Hendrix College. He received a B.A. degree at the University of Arkansas in 1924. He attended the University of Michigan one year receiving his law degree at the University of Oklahoma in 1928.
Col. Parker was with the Inspector General - 9th Infantry Division from March, 1943 to Jan. 22, 1945, and was promoted to colonel May 9, 1945. He received his commission on July 9, 1925, and retired in 1947. He received the Meritorious Service Unit plaque, European Theater Ribbon with seven battle stars, including the Moroccan, North Africa, Tunesion, Sicilian, Normandy, Northern France, Thineland and Ardennas Campaigns. He also received the Belgium Fourafure, Inter-Allied Command ribbon, American Theater Ribbon, Victory Ribbon and the French Fourrager awarded for Normandy and Northern France Campaigns.
Col. Parker was manager of Dardanelle Building and Loan Association from 1928-1934; Dardanelle city attorney, 1929 - 1930; and candidate to Congress - 5th District in 1946. He was a practicing attorney from 1928 - 1976, and was instrumental in securing the Arkansas River Navigation Project.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Betty Parker; four daughters, Mrs. Jeff Mobley and Miss Carol Parker, Russellville, Mrs. John Russell, La Jolla, Ca., and Mrs. Joe Miller, Ft. Huachuca, Az.; a stepson, Cpt. Johnny Luker, Russellville; one sister, Mrs. Johnnie Walrath, Phoenix, Az.; and eight grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers were Ron Rye, A.W. Looney, Pat Humphrey, Johnnie Hamilton, R.W. McCracken, Paul Fiser, Troy Burris, Goble Nunley, Carl Jaggers, Bill Berry, Wayne Bradley, Burl Judkins, Bob Parker, Harold Neal, C. Z. Harris and members of the Pope -Yell Bar association.

Parker Parker, age 72, of Russellville, a retired Army colonel and lawyer, died Saturday. He practiced law at Russellville for 52 years and was a member of the American Arkansas and Pope-Yell Bar Associations. Parker was a candidate for Congress in 1948. He was the former owner of Radio Station KCAB at Dardanelle.
Parker was a veteran of World War II where he served in North Africa and Europe. He was promoted to colonel in 1945 and retired in 1947. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Arkansas in 1924 and his law degree from the University of Michigan in 1928. A member of Russellville First United Methodist Church, he was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars and the Lions Club. He was a former Mason.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Betty Parker; four daughters, Mrs. Jeff Mobley and Miss Carol Parker, both of Russellville, Mrs. John Russell of La Jolla, CA, and Mrs. Joe Miller of Fort Huachuca, Arizona; a stepson, Capt. Johnny Luker of Russellville; a sister, Mrs. Johnie Walrath of Pheonix, Arizona, and eight grandchildren.
