Hefner, Dovie

Dovie Hefner, age 96 of Danville, died Thursday, December 16, 2004 at Chambers Memorial Hospital. She was born August 15, 1908 at Danville, AR to the late William Soloman and Roxie Ann Crabb Power.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lovic Hefner; three sisters, Bertie Power, Opal Simpson, Marie Wehunt.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Aulton and Elaine Hefner of Carlsbad, NM; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral was held Monday, December 20, 2004 at the Danville First Baptist Church, with Rev. Jamie Staley officiating. Interment was held at Earl Ladd Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joe Monroe, Harold. Hefner, Francis Lynette (Horn)

Mrs. Francis Lynette Hefner, age 58 of Carlsbad, New Mexico died Sunday, November 19, 1989 at Baylor University Hospital in Dallas, TX. She was a member of the Episcopal Church in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Survivors include her husband, Auton Hefner; a son, Gary Lynn Hefner of Ruidoso, NM; one daughter, Lynda Diane Summers of Ruidoso, NM; two brothers, Wesley and Manuel Horn both of Fort Smith; one sister, Charlotte Powell of Bridgeport, TX and two grandchildren, Jon Joshua Summers and Amy Lynette Summers both of Tucson, AZ.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 22 at Danville First Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Walker and Rev. Luther Riddle officiating. Interment will be in Earl Ladd Cemetery. Lovic William Hefner, age 87, of Danville died Thursday, March 23, 1989 at the Yell County Hospital. He was a native of the Macadonia Community and a retired Hotel and Motel Owner.

Survivors include his wife, Dovie Power Hefner; one son, Aulton Hefner of Carlsbad, NM; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Sid Hefner, age 93, of Houston, Texas, brother of Lovett Hefner of Danville, died Wednesday, October 8, 1986.

Willie Dean Hefner, 51, of Atkins, died Friday, April 27, 2012, at St. Marys Regional Medical Center in Russellville. She was born February 11, 1961, in Morrilton, the daughter of Dave Owens and Joyce Vaughn. She attended Bells Chapel Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Traci Woodall of Atkins; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jennifer and Daniel Davis of Havana and Jessica Vaughn of Dardanelle; five grandchildren, Tyler Vaughn, Amberley Vaughn, Chase Vaughn, Blake Vaughn and Canyn Thompson; mother, Joyce Willis of Pottsville; four sisters, Missie Vaughn of Belleville, Judy Lyons of Pottsville, Teresa Willis of Havana and Bridgett Willis of Conway; brother, Shorty Willis of Conway; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Hegeman, Mable Louise

Mable Louise Hegeman, 76, of Atkins, AR died Monday, December 25, 2006 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Morrilton. She was born October 21, 1930 in Atkins and was the daughter of the late Carl and Dora Vann Stubbs. She was a member of the Atkins Church of the Assumption and was known for baking for all fundraisers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William H. Hegeman, a grandson, Austin Hegeman, four brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, William (Bill) and Linda Hegeman and, Blaine and Sheila Hegeman; three daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Terry Foster, Kathy and Keith Shipley and Nancy and Victor Hicks, all of Atkins; one brother, Raymond Stubbs of Atkins; four sisters, Helen Haney Winton of Springdale, Evelyn Bauman of Atkins, Carlene Austin of Atkins, Mary Ann Lollis of Morrilton, 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was Thursday, December 28 at Lemley Chapel in Atkins with the Rev. Chad Duvall, Rev. Peggy Foster and Rev. Keith Shipley officiating. Wanda Ann Jones Heier, age 70, of Tillar, AR, departed this life in Little Rock, AR on April 26, 2007. Wanda was born December 10, 1936 at Gravelly, AR (Yell County). She was the daughter of the late H. C. (Buck) and Velma Kitchens Jones. Wanda was a Baptist, a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother, and employed by Bassett for twenty-five years as a seamstress.

She was preceded in death by a son, Kenny Cottrell.

Hemmitt, Herman

Herman Hemmitt, Jr. age 79, a resident of Russellville, AR died Sunday, June 18, 2000 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center at Russellville, AR. He was born on January 4, 1921 at Dardanelle, AR to Herman Sr. and Ora (Roland) Hemmitt. He finished high school at Douglas High School at Dardanelle, AR and then he graduated from Philander Smith College at Little Rock, AR. He was a Concert Pianist having performed on Broadway in New York City and performed worldwide concerts. He loved gospel music and was a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Isaac Hemmitt.

Survivors include, one sister, Alice S. York of Clarksville, AR; one niece, Wanda Hemmitt of Fresno, CA; three nephews, Victor Henry York, Dwight Hemmitt of Fresno, CA and Terry York of Russellville, AR; nephews, cousins and friends and a special friend, James Lewis Hicklin of Chicago, IL.

Carl Henderson, age 79, of Belleville, husband, father and peepaw to Alex entered into his heavenly home on July 6, 2012. He was born in Cleveland, Arkansas on February 24, 1933 to the late Alonzo & Alma Flowers Henderson. He was a member of the John Grace Memorial Baptist Church in Belleville. Preceded in death by his mother and father and one sister.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jean Henderson; daughter and son-in-law, Teshia and Kurt Radcliff of Danville; grandson, Alex Radcliff; his little companion "Molly" the daschund. Jackson Richard Hendrix, age 58, of Russellville died Wednesday, August 27, 1986 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was a native of Dover, a former employee of Boeing Aircraft at Wichita, Kan. and a veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elsie Marie Littleton Hendrix; a stepson, Ray Loyd of London; two stepdaughters, Mary Miller of Mount George and Helen Choate of Russellville; his father and stepmother, Vester and Ruth Hendrix of Russellville; two sisters, Mary Ruth Bums and Doris Jean Higgs of Dover; three brothers, Troy Hendrix of Little Rock, and Doyne and James Hendrix of Dover; two stepsisters, Virginia Virden of Kenwood and Peggy Goodin of Russellville; nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p. m. Friday at Phoenix Free Will Baptist Church by the Rev. Bobby Alexander and the Rev. Bobby Joe Chronister. Burial will be in Phoenix Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Service of Dardanelle. Hendrix, James Troy

James Troy Hendrix, Sr. age 66 of Dardanelle died Sunday, March 28, 2004 at National Park Hospital in Hot Springs. He was born June 5, 1937 in Malvern to the late Rupert and Dorothy Kiesler Hendrix. He was owner and operator of Hendrix Trucking in Dardanelle and a member of the Unity Baptist Church in Chickalah.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Josh Hendrix.

Hendrix, Joshua Troy

Joshua Troy Hendrix, age 21, of Dardanelle, AR died Tuesday, October 9, 2001. He was born April 30, 1980 in Clarksville, AR the son of Jimmy Hendrix and the late Armel Robinson Payte. He was a mechanic working for Drilling Enterprises.

He was preceded in death by his mother and his grandfather, Ellis Robinson.

Survivors include his father and step-mother, Jimmy Tanya Hendrix of Russellville, AR; two brothers, Acel Hendrix formerly of Dardanelle now of Germany and Cole Hendrix of Russellville, AR; grandparents, Imogene Robinson of Mena, Troy and Barbara Hendrix of Dardanelle and LaDell Fields of Russellville and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Henninger, Rose Mary (Hulett)

Shannon Crow, age 59 of Lawton, OK died Sunday in Lawton. He was a Methodist, a native of Dardanelle and recently retired after 30 years in the Army.

Henriksen, Roberta

Roberta Henriksen, age 70 of Dardanelle, died Thursday, September 16, 2004 at the Atkins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters; a grandson, Chris Holliman.

Survivors include, two sons, Robert Henriksen of New Dublin, GA, Donald Henriksen of Dardanelle; four daughters, Laura Tarkington, Pamela Akins, Leila Holliman all of Dardanelle, Earline Hardin of Havana; twelve grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.

Mr. Eric L. Henry (Riddle) died Sunday, February 2, 1997 at his home. He was an US Army Veteran of the Gulf War and also served in the Coastguard. He was born January 4, 1967 in Toledo, OH to Lowell L. and Jean Fought Henry.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Roberson. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Mena.

C. Roberson of Benton; brothers and sisters-in-law, G. A. and Dottie Meredith of Mena, Jerry Don and Barbara Meredith of Central, Ricky and Debbie Meredith of Oklahoma, Robbie and Glenda Meredith of Lavaca; sisters and brothers-in-law; Barbara and R. C. Howard G. Henry, age 81 of Dardanelle, died Wednesday September 28, 2005 at Saint Mary's Regional Center. He was born March 6, 1924 at Leslie, AR to the late Roscoe C. and Emma L. Watts Henry. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Dardanelle Free Will Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by three brothers, Lester Henry, Otis Henry and Carroll Henry and two sisters, Sybil Davis and Viola Goodman.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Howard Wayne and Ginger Henry of Dardanelle; a daughter, Rosemary Henry of Dardanelle; two brothers, A.C. Henry of West Monroe, LA, and A.G. Henry of Cabot; two sisters, Iola Safley of Springdale and Velma Lee Kiser of Bartlesville, OK ;three grandchildren; two great grandchildren and also by Anna Henry.

Funeral services were held Saturday, October 1, 2005, 10:00 a.m. at Cornwell Chapel, Dardanelle, with Tom McElmurry officiating. Interment will be in Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle. Henry, Thurman C.

Funeral services for Thurman C. Henry were conducted July 18, 2000 at the Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Doyle Bloomer officiating. Interment followed with full military honors provided by Ft. Sill at the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Elk City.

Thurman Clark Henry was born April 27, 1929 at Seminole, OK to Thurman and Annie (Franklin) Henry and passed away at the age of 71. He was raised in Arkansas and Oklahoma and then enlisted in the U. S. Air Force. After discharge from the Air Force, he enlisted in the U. S. Army where he served 2 tours of duty in Korea and 3 tours in Vietnam and attained the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4 before his retirement in 1970. He was married to Jessie Clark in 1979 at Duncan, OK and was living in El Reno at the time of his death. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Elks Lodge 104 in Little Rock, AR and was of the Baptist Faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Jessie Thurman of the El Reno home; a son, Walter Henry of Little Rock, AR and a daughter, Kim Henry and her companion, John Meeks of Maumelle, AR; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Loretta Henson; sisters, Joyce Gillespie, Bobbie McKinnie, Shirley Crowley and one brother, Shelby Haller.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, J. D. Henson of the home; sons, Charles Wayne Henson and wife Pam of Belleville, AR, David Henson and wife Brenda of Fayetteville, AR and Danny Henson and wife Vickey of Booneville, AR; daughters, Irene Martin and husband Ray of Booneville, Debbie White and husband John of Arlington, TN, and Paula Lemmond and husband Paul of Rogers; one sister, Vivian Kirby and husband David; 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Jeff Henson, Jamie Henson, Justin Sutter, Jared Henson, Travis Lemmond, and Josh Helms. Funeral services were Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Eastwood Baptist Church in Booneville.
