Gaddie, Richard

Mr. Richard Gaddie, age 66, of Russellville, AR formerly of Centerville, AR died Saturday, February 7, 1998 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. He was born August 26, 1932 in Franklin County, Tennessee to the late William M. and Laura V. Stephens Gaddie. He was a retired businessman and street worker and a member of the United Auto Workers.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Gaddie; daughter, Gail Gaddie of Cleveland, OH; two sisters, Nora Tabelon of Colorado Springs, CO and Cora Lee Stephens of Elora, TN; two grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

Graveside service will be Wednesday, February 11 at 10 AM at McFadden Cemetery in Dover, AR with the Rev. R. M. Shields officiating. Service by Cornwell Funeral Home of Dardanelle, AR. Gaddis, Jeanie Kennedy

Jeanie Kennedy Gaddis, age 86 of Maumelle died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Hospice Home Care. She was born August 22, 1923 at Dardanelle to the late Arthur and Blanche White Kennedy. Jeanie was a homemaker and a member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Lyda Kennedy Ellis, Elsie Lee Kennedy Turner.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, David R. Gaddis of Maumelle; three children, Larry D. & Linda Gaddis, Elaine Gaddis, Kim Gaddis & Buddy Wadley, all of Little Rock; a brother, Allen Kennedy; two sisters, Katherine Kennedy, Carol & Leroy Thacker of Maumelle; two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gaddy, Frances Inez (Rana)

NORTH LITTLE ROCK - Frances Inez Rana Gaddy, 79, of Des Arc, formerly of Texarkana, Texas, died February 1, 1998, at Baptist Memorial Medical Center. She was born on January 1, 1919, at Briggsville (Yell County), a daughter of the late Dow Rana and Eunice Taylor Rana. She was a homemaker and member of Rose Hill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Crews Gaddy.

Survivors include two daughters, Gloria Ballowe of Des Arc and Francis Munroe of Bellaire, Michigan; a sister, Ruby Joy Wyatt of Lindsay, California and seven grandchildren.

Gage, Mary Frances Lazenby

Mrs. Mary Frances Lazenby Gage, age 81, a resident of Horatio, died Sunday, September 10, 2006 at her home. She was born September 26, 1924 in Yell County, Arkansas to A. J. and Lucy Ellen Lazenby; was a homemaker; and a member of Horatio First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Kelly Gage Sr. and a grand-daughter, Catherine Gage.

She is survived by two sons, Kelly Gage of Horatio and Shep Gage of Texarkana; two grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Martha Jean Gaines, 85, of Waldo, Arkansas, passed away Friday, January 9, 2015 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. She was born January 11, 1929 in Stamps, Arkansas to the late Lewie Chester "Buddy" and Susie Marie Tatom Fields. She was retired from Alcoa where she worked in the accounting department. She was a member of the Magnolia Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stewart Harold Gaines; her parents; grandson, Steven Delaney; sister, Frances Ellen; brothers, LC Fields and Dickie Fields.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Sara Gaines of Little Rock, Russell and Sharon Gaines of Benton; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Andy Tackett of Danville; sister, Emily Sabo of Texarkana, Texas; brother, Mike and Sharon Fields of Mt. Idell Reed Gallion, age 84, of McGehee, AR died Friday, May 8, 1998 at her home. She was born May 14, 1913 in Aly, Yell County, Arkansas to James M. and Hattie Barrows Reed. She was a homemaker and member of the Chickasaw Baptist Church.

Milus Gallion, age 91, of Conway, formerly of McGehee, died Friday, May 22, 2009 at Conway Regional Medical Center in Conway, AR. He was born October 5, 1917 in Steve, AR to the late Carroll C. Gallion and Minnie Orrell Gallion. He was a former resident of Plainview.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Sweeney Gallion and a son, Andy Gallion, and daughter, Martha Lynn Gallion.

He is survived by two sons, Norman Gallion, Snohomish, WA and Howard Gallion, Globe, AZ, and one sister, Bertha Glasscock of Conway.

Gamble, Bryan Eugene

Bryan Eugene Gamble of Dardanelle died Monday, February 24, 2003 at St. Mary's Regional Center in Russellville. Born October 16, 1929 in Batesville, he was the son of the late Edward and Bertha Apple Gamble. He was a professional musician and songwriter, playing mainly the steel guitar. He was a veteran of the Navy Reserve, a member of the Teamsters Union, and played in the Louisiana Hayride, and the Grand Ole Opry.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Marshall Gamble; a son, Milburn Gamble; his parents; a sister, Juanita Scott and a brother, James Gamble.

Survivors include his sons, Bryan Gamble of Dardanelle, John Gamble of Atkins; daughters, Sandra Darnell of Batesville and Vicki Davis of Cabot; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mabel Dervin of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Betty Sue "Nan Gangluff, age 70 of St. Vincent went to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 28, 2003. She was born November 27, 1932 in Waltreak, Arkansas to Charlie Thomas Jefferson Phillips and Ola Mae Hudson Phillips. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church at St. Vincent. She was a retired employee of Con Agra of Russellville. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, avid gardener, and a friend to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by a stepson, Steve Gangluff.

Survivors include her husband, Norman Gangluff of St. Vincent; daughter, Patricia Gail Hortman and husband, James of Mineola, Texas; daughter, Peggy Sue Squires of St. Vincent; step-son, Mike Gangluff and wife, Anita of North Little Rock; stepdaughter, Jane Scroggins and husband, David of Hattieville; two sisters, Reba Sanders of Danville and Mary Millard of Chickalah; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Services were Friday, May 30, 2003 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial at St Mary's Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. James M. "Jim" Gardner age 64 of Dardanelle died Sunday, April 23, 2000 at his Home. Mr. Gardner was born December 4, 1935 in Belleville, AR to the late Earnest and Eunice I. Dean Gardner. He was a Vietnam Veteran, retiring from the Army in 1974 after serving 20 years. He was a former Yell County Deputy Sheriff, and was a member of the Boyce-Woods VFW Post 3341 Dardanelle.

Survivors are his wife of 43 years, Zelma M. George Gardner, two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Linda Gardner, Arkansas City, Kansas, Keith R. and Kim Gardner, Russellville; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy M. and Allen George, Morrilton; seven grandchildren, Rachelle R. Joyce R. Gardner, age 81, of Dardanelle, AR died Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at Dardanelle Hospital. She was born February 16, 1922 in Minneapolis, MN to the late Rayfield and Christine Iarson Shelden. She was a homemaker and a member of the Dardanelle Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Gardner and one sister Ruby Robinson.

Survivors are one son, Vernon R. Gardner of Sandy, OR; one daughter, Susan Faith of Dardanelle, AR; stepmother, Pauline Shelden of Salem, OR; half-brother, Raymond Shelden of Salem, OR; half-sister, Wilma Perce of Dayton, OH; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; six nieces and one nephew.

Funeral was August 2 at Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel in Dardanelle. Interment was in New Hope Cemetery. Arrangements by Cornwell Funeral Home of Dardanelle, AR. Gardner, Judge Richard E.

Judge Richard E. Gardner, Jr. 63, of Russellville, died Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at his home. The son of the late Dr. Ellis and Betty Lemley Gardner, he was born September 30, 1941 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was a 1959 graduate of Russellville High School and a 1963 graduate of Arkansas Tech University where he played center on the 1960 and 1961 AIC football conference championship teams. He was a United States Army Veteran of Viet Nam Era. Following his military service, he received his Jurist Doctorate from the University of Tulsa. Dick returned to Russellville in 1969, joining the law practice of his uncle, Charles Gardner and Robert Hays Williams. He continued in that practice along with Steve Gardner and Robert Hardin for 19 years. In 1989 he was appointed Circuit Chancery (Juvenile) Judge for Pope, Johnson, and Franklin Counties by then Governor Bill Clinton. He served since 1991 as the elected Circuit Judge for the 5th Judicial District, Position 2 (formerly called Chancery-Probate Judge). He was a member of the Arkansas Judicial Council, Pope County, Arkansas American Bar Associations. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of the Russellville Chamber of Commerce. He had been a member of the Russellville Rotary Club and served on the Board of Directors of the Arkansas River Valley Boys Girls Club. Dick was a member and Past President of the Russellville Country Club. He was a lifetime member of the Central Presbyterian Church where he had served as a deacon.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Jackie Gardner of Russellville, AR; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Marice Steve Greenberg of New York City, NY, Erin Gardner Brandon Flammang of Fayetteville, AR; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Barry Erwin of Monroe, LA; a brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Guy & Brigita Gardner of Little Rock, AR his uncle and aunt, Bill and Wadena Lemley of Russellville, AR.

A memorial service was held Friday, November 14, 2003 at Central Presbyterian Church. Rev. Kenyon Kalvesmaki officiated. A private burial was held under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Mrs. Wilma C. Gardner, age 82, died Saturday, March 28, 1998 in Norfolk, VA. She was the daughter of Tom and Viola Horn Maddon of Chickalah Mtn, Yell County, Arkansas. She was a member of the Norfolk Church of Christ.

She was preceded in dead by a sister, Faye Robertson of Booneville, AR and two brothers, Bennie Maddon of Chickalah Mtn and Clint Maddon of Danville, AR.

Survivors include a son, Thomas Gardner of Norfolk, VA; two grandsons, Mark and Tony; two great grandchildren, Evan and Shelby all of Norfolk, VA; one brother, Jack D. Maddon of Norwalk, CA; one sister, Esley Hopkins of the Dardanelle Nursing Home and several nieces and nephews.

Zelma M. George Gardner, age 67, of Dardanelle died Sunday, October 27, 2002 at Dardanelle Hospital. She was born April 29, 1935 in Yell County Arkansas; she was the daughter of the late Fred and Mary Davis George. She was a homemaker and mother and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Dardanelle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. "Jim Gardner; sisters, Helen Holloway and Lillian Estelle Nelson; brothers, Wilton and Leon George.

Survivors include her sons, Jimmy L. Gardner of Arkansas City, Kansas, Keith R. Gardner of Dardanelle; a daughter, Kathy Gardner of Dardanelle; brothers, Buford George of Wichita, KS, Milton George of Clearwater, KS, and Shirley George of Dardanelle; a sister, Walcie Day of Belleville, AR; Grandchildren, Rachelle R. Ballinger, Karrie M. Ballinger, James R. Ballinger, Brandy L. Gardner, Beth A. Gardner, Christian M. Gardner, and Emily M. Gardner.

Charles J. Gargiulo, age 79, of Danville, AR widow of Angelina "Ange" Gargiulo died Tuesday, May 22, 2001 at Baptist Medical Center m Little Rock, AR. He was born August 20, 1921 in New Orleans, LA to the late Ciro and Marguarite Schmidt Gargiulo. He was a PA, a member of the United Methodist Church in Danville, the Elks Club, Knights of Columbus and a Mason.

Survivors are three daughters, Sandra Devine of San Francisco, CA, Lynn Campbell of Placerville, CA and Patty Sutherland of Danville, AR; a dear companion, Doris Vosburg of Danville, AR; seven grandchildren, Richard and Cory Devine, Warren Willette, Lisa Ruff, Shaun, Brendon and Shannon Sutherland and six great-grandchildren.

Service was May 25, 2001 at the United Methodist Church in Danville with Rev. David Hawkins officiating. Rosary was held May 24 at the Cornwell Chapel in Danville, AR. Bertha A. Garner, age 93, of Delaware died Monday at Dardanelle Hospital. She was born January 26, 1908. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Arthur and Mae Reasoner McClure.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Garner. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Bethel Jorgson "Buck" Garner, age 84, of Danville, AR died Sunday, June 10, 2007 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was born August 5, 1922 in the Tate Town community, Scott County, AR, the son of the late Ace and Ida Woodard Garner. He was a farmer, logger, Free Will Baptist minister and a WWII Army Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three children, Danny Ray, Jerry and Sheila Garner; two brothers, Velo and Jethel Garner and two sisters, Minnie Hunt and Rosie Limbocker.

He is survived by his wife, Robbie James Garner; two brothers, Ace Garner of Quinton, OK and Monroe Garner of Dardanelle, AR; a sister, Lillie Yandell of Havana, AR and 12 nephews and nieces.

Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Monroe Garner; daughter, Joyce (Robert) Evans of Bluffton; sons, Larry Garner of Ranger; James (Brenda) Gar- ner of Dardanelle; Rex (Theresa) Garner of Mablevale; Mitch (Evelyn) Garner of Springfield; and 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carrie Bessie Garner, age 80, of Rush Springs died Thursday, October 24, 2002, in Grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha, She was born May 5, 1922, in Ola, Arkansas to Sid and Carrie McKee Snuggs. She married O'Neal "Slim" Garner on May 19, 1938 in Ola. She was a homemaker and lived in Rush Springs for 47 years. She enjoyed cooking, especially rolls, coconut pies and chicken and dressing. She loved gardening and flowers. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Rush Springs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Judy Garner and Tony and Debi Garner, all of Rush Springs; a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and G. W. "Dub" Meadows of Rush Springs; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces.

Services were Saturday in the First United Methodist in Rush Springs with the Rev. Harold Wheeler and the Rev. Danny Vaughn officiating. Burial was in Westview Cemetery in Rush Springs under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel of Rush Springs. Bearers were David Meadows, Don McKay, David Dennis, Kirby Sheperd, James Ince and Joe Kuntz. Garner, Charlsie Fay Biggs

Charlsie Fay Biggs Garner, age 81 of Benton, died Tuesday, January 7, 2003 at Saline Nursing Center. She was born in Greenbrier, AR on August 19, 1921 to the late Sherman and Lonia McKaskle Biggs. Mrs. Garner was a graduate of the Baptist School of Nursing and served with the U. S. Army Nurse Corp at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX. As a nurse she worked at several medical facilities including Nursing Director at Saline Memorial Hospital and Rosecare II. She also worked at Ft. Roots in North Little Rock and taught at the Baptist School of Nursing. She retired from nursing in the late 1980's. Mrs. Garner was a member of United Missionary Baptist Church in Salem. NARF (National Association of Retired Federal Workers and a past member of the Florence Chapter of OES.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Leroy Garner; her granddaughter Shannon Michelle Hayre and a brother Robert Daniel Biggs.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna Holloway and her husband David of Benton and Peggy Wilcox and her husband Bob also of Benton; Stepson Gil Garner and his wife Judy of Dallas, TX; sister Allie Mae Tracy of Benton; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held at on Friday, January 10, 2003 at Pinecrest Memorial Park by Bro. L. D. Campbell. Memorials may be made to the Salem Volunteer Fire Department, 1785 Salem Rd. Benton, AR 72015 or to the United Missionary Baptist Church in Salem, 3810 Salem Rd. Benton, AR 72015.
