Link, Tami Kay

Tami Kay Link, age 52, died September 4, 2007 in Norman, OK. She was born on November 27, 1954 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She married Joseph Brent Link on January 3, 1972.

She is preceded in death by her infant son John Joseph Link, grandparents Bill & Leota Veach, sister Sheila Ellis, mother-in-law Letannah Bishop, father-in-law John Joseph Link, and step-father-in-law Jean Bishop.

She is survived by her husband, Brent Link and two sons Christopher and Stephen Link and their spouses Shawn and Danee, her mother Betty Clark, her siblings and their families, Steve and Karrie Davis, Roy and Leanne Condray, Betty and Russell Zumwalt and Chet and Darla Clark.

Funeral services was Monday, September 10, 2007 at Alameda Church of Christ in Norman, OK with interment at Sunset Memorial Park and Cemetery in Oklahoma City. In lieu of flowers a charitable foundation fund in Memory of Tami Link has been established with Bank of America in Oklahoma. Linzy, Sibyl Turner

Sibyl Turner Linzy of Little Rock; AR died peacefully in her sleep over the Thanksgiving holiday, 1998. Descended from pioneer Arkansas families, she was born in 1911 to Maude Lee Walden and Marior C Cicero Turner. The widow of Charles Benjamin Linzy, Jr. she was predeceased by her daughter, Ann Linzy Rhodes.

Survivors are her daughter, Sue Linzy Haake of California; three grandchildren, Bill and Jennifer Tuck and Stephanie Ann Rhodes; son-in-law, Edward J. Rhodes, Jr. a brother, Faye Turner of Fort Smith and two sisters, Verna Tackett of Russellville and Violet Eggerd of Oklahoma.

Lipe, Alma

Alma Lipe, age 94, a resident of Russellville, AR formerly of Havana, AR died Friday, November 14, 1997 at Legacy Lodge Nursing Home at Russellville. She was born July 8, 1903 at Newton County to Henry and Laura Lee) Kyle. She was a homemaker and member of the Havana Church of Christ. She was the widow of the late Fred Lipe and was also preceded in death by a son, Donald Lipe who died in 1974.

She is survived by a niece, Marie Brooks in San Francisco, CA.

Lipe, Garland

Garland Lipe, 78, of Havana, died Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at Saint Marys Regional Medical Center in Russellville. He was a member of the Church of Christ and spent 60 years as a Gospel preacher. For many years, he conducted a radio broadcast, The Voice of Truth, on radio stations KMAG and KWHN in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was also a retired cattle farmer. He was the son of the late Barney and Merle McCubbin Lipe and Jennie Lassiter Lipe. He was also preceded in death by twin sisters, Delena and Regina Lipe, who died at birth.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Doris Helen Avaritt Lipe; one son, Dan Lipe and wife, Deborah, of Belleville, AR; three daughters, Gina Lipe and Jan Lipe of Havana, AR and Jil Lipe Duralde and husband Gorka, of St. Petersburg, FL; one step-grandson, Brian Cox and his wife Rebekah, of Russellville; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Lipe, Hubert L.

Ola Man Fatally Injured In Car Accident Near Danville - Hubert L. Lipe of Ola died at the Danville Clinic Hospital Sunday, September 4th at 10:00 p. m. from injuries received in an automobile accident which occurred immediately north of Petit Jean Bridge Sunday morning about 3:15 a. m. The car, a 1949 Hudson Sedan, driven by Theo Childs of Ola, was completely demolished when it left the highway and hurtled about 50 feet down a 15 foot embankment where the Corinth roads leads off of State Highway 10. Childs, and Ralph Burfield and Argel Lee Adkins, also of Ola, the other two occupants of the car were treated for shock and minor injuries at the Danville Clinic Hospital but were dismissed immediately thereafter, but Hurbert remained in the hospital never regaining consciousness until his death.

He is survived by his father Willie E. Lipe of Ola, two brothers, Maurice of Little Rock and Glenwood of Detroit; four sisters, Mrs. Ruby Evans and Mrs. Ethozell Brigeman, both of Detroit, Mrs. Helen Mahon of Ola and Mrs. Eva Fisher of Little Rock. Word was received this morning that Theo Childs, who was released from the hospital Sunday without apparent serious injuries, later developed pains in his back and partial paralysis. Lipe, Joseph M.

CLARKSVILLE -- Joseph M. Lipe, 89, of Coalinga, Calif., died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002 at Johnson Regional Medical Center. He was born Jan. 15, 1913, at Gravelly to Marcellus and Amy Hunnicutt Lipe.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Hankins Lipe; a son, Joe Allen Lipe of Morro Bay, Calif.; a daughter, Billie Martin of Clarksville; three sisters, Helen Harris of Paris, and Eula Hall and Sula Shock of North Little Rock; seven grandchildren, Kevin, Robert and Chris Prevett of Clarksville, Donna Truran of Santa Maria, Calif., Judy Starr of Hanford, Calif., Sherri Middleton, Atoka, Okla., and Carolyn DeVasure of Turlock, Calif.; 13 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Lipe, Leroy

LeRoy Lipe age 46, a resident of Russellville, AR died Thursday, August 24, 2000 at home. He was born on January 21, 1954 at Russellville, AR to Barney and Irene Burk Lipe. He married Brenda Pfaltz Lipe on April 5, 1975 at Russellville. He was a sixth grade teacher with the Plainview-Rover School System. He graduated from Arkansas Tech University and attended the Life Center Church in Russellville.

He was preceded in death by his father, Barney W. Lipe and one brother, Glenn Lipe.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda M. Lipe of Russellville, AR; one son, Nathaniel P. Lipe of Russellville, AR; two daughters, Jennifer M. and Jessica C. Lipe both of Russellville; his mother, Irene Dixon of Ola, AR; a brother, Michael Lipe of Pottsville, AR; a sister, Rheba Sparacino of Ola, AR and numerous nephews and nieces.

Funeral service was August 28, 2000 at Humphrey Chapel officiated by Rev. Larry Pyle and assisted by Rev. Norman Chenowith. Burial was at the Rankin Cemetery at Russellville, AR under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Lisenbey, Anna Marie Mcvay

Anna Marie McVay Lisenbey of Benton, AR was born September 4, 1940 in Russellville, AR to the late George McVay and Viverine Moore McVay. She died March 5, 2001 in Saline Memorial Hospital, Benton, AR at the age of 60. She was a member of Junet Pentecostal Church in Sheridan, a self employed care giver.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles McVay and her parents.

Survivors are, a son, Stacy Lisenbey of Plainview, AR; two daughters, Lee Ann Lisenbey Crutchfield of Sheridan, AR and Lana Lisenbey Erb of Yokota, Japan; a brother, David McVay of Redfield, AR, two sisters, Phyllis McVay of Russellville, AR and Katie Anderson of Pine Bluff, AR; an aunt, Gladys Crow of Searcy, AR and four grandchildren.

Funeral service will be today, Wednesday, March 7, 2001 at Buie Funeral Home Chapel, Sheridan with Rev. Al Michael officiating. Burial will be in the Ringer Cemetery, Centerville, AR. Litaker, Marion "Buck"

Marion "Buck" Litaker, age 66 of Belleville, died Monday, December 17, 2007 at Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith. He was born July 15, 1941 in Kennet, Missouri. He was the son of the late Harold Harem and Ella Mae McNew Litaker. He was a retired truck driver for Wayne Farms, and a member of the Wilson Freewill Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Litaker; sisters, Lola Burrows and Geneva Bland.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie and Tommy Morris of Danville and Donna and Brian Lucy of Danville; sisters and brothers-in-law Pearly and Dean Graddy of Burbon, MO and Freda and Jerome Carter of Kennet, MO; 5 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Friday, December 21, 2007 at Russell Cemetery in Belleville, with Rev. Jeff Henderson officiating. Bobby Gene Litsey, age 68 of Dardanelle, died Sunday, April 27, 2008 at his home. He was born February 13, 1940 at Dardanelle to the late Henry Alvey and Mattie Ethel Tanner Litsey.

He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Harold, Elvis Roe and Glen Litsey.

Survivors include two sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Leroy Parsons of Dardanelle, Charlotte and Larry Britton of London; two brothers, Otis Litsey and Danny Litsey both of Dardanelle; host of nephews and nieces.

Litsey, Glendon "Glen" Neely

Glendon "Glen" Neely Litsey, age 80, of Dardanelle, AR died Monday, April 23, 2007 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was born March 7, 1927 at Casa, AR to the late Henry Alvey and Mattie Ethel Tanner Litsey. He farmed for almost 60 years working for three generations of the Hickey and Thone families in the Carden Bottoms area. He also attended Faith Church in Dardanelle, AR.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harold and Elvis Roe Litsey.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Ruby McConnell Litsey of Dardanelle, AR; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Anita Litsey of Casa, AR; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and LeRoy Parsons of Dardanelle, AR, Charlotte and Larry Britton of London, AR; brothers, Otis, Bob and Danny Ray Litsey all of Dardanelle, AR; three grandchildren and spouses; three great grandchildren and numerous other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Littleton, Robert Thompson

Robert Thompson Littleton, age 79, of Dardanelle, AR died Thursday at the Dardanelle Nursing Center. He was born March 1, 1923, the son of the late Wayne and Vivian Vaughn Littleton. He was an Army veteran of WWII, a construction inspector for the Corps of Engineers, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, La Vaughn Kroodsma.

Survivors three children, Tommy Littleton of Russellville, AR, DeNann and Frank Clark of Dardanelle, AR and Lorie Robinson of New Orleans, LA; a brother, Wayne Littleton, Jr. of St. Martin, CA; a sister, Vanna Hottinger of Ola, AR; grandchildren, Ashley Clark of Bentonville and Michael Littleton of Bryant.

Lively, Mildred Lavina

Mildred Lavina Lively, age 92 of Perryville, died Sunday, July 4, 2004 at Perry County Nursing Home, in Perryville. She was born in Bigelow, Arkansas on May 15, 1912, daughter of the late Thomas J. and Viola O'Neal Bowdler. She had owned and operated Patty Ann Restaurant in Thornburg for many years, where she always had homemade pies and bread to serve. She was a member of the Thornburg Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis D. Lively, two brothers, H. W. "Buddy" Bowdler, and Tommy Bowdler, four sisters, Jessie Walker, Margaret Delso, Georgia Bennett, and Viola Davis.

Survivors include three sons, Bill Robnett, Dan Bowdler, both of Thornburg, Arkansas, Andrew Robnett, of Morrilton; a daughter, Catherine Kline of Alabama; two brothers, Anthony Bowdler of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, John Henry Bowdler of Fort Smith, Arkansas; two sisters, Vera Ramsey of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Betty Brittain of Houston, Texas; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

Argie Lee Locke, age 71 of Dover, died Saturday, April 5, 2003 at her home in Dover. She was born November 9, 1931 in Jerusalem, Arkansas to the late Authur and Eulah Freeman Creach. She was partner with her husband in Locke Trucking.

Survivors are her husband of 30 years, Billy Locke; six daughters, Virginia Johnson of Dover, Pattie Mooney of Savanah, Tennessee, Andrea Gulledge and Angela Barnes both of San Antonio, Texas, Charlotte Johnson of Austin, Texas, Rebecca Opitz of Deridder, Louisiana; a brother, Luther Creach of Elmer, New Jersey; three sisters, Sue Lawless of Jerusalem, Arkansas, Bonnie Long of Idaho, Ellen Shaddon of North Little Rock; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Lola Bell Lockerby, age 86, of Wilburton, passed away January 7, 1988 in Wilburton. She was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She was born January 12, 1901 in Rover, Arkansas.

Surviving relatives include a daughter Lillian Brown Whiteaker of Wilburton; 2 sons Jimmy and Orvel Walden of both of Wilburton; 3 brothers Jeff and J. R. Cathey both of Wilburton, and J. W. Cathey of San Leandro, Ca.; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held January 9, 1988 at 2:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel, under the direction of Jones Funeral Home in Wilburton. Rev. Wayne Holcomb officiated and interment was at the Damon Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home. Arlene Lucy Lockhorst, age 74 of Clearlake Oaks, CA passed away September 20, 2006 at her home. She was born January 19, 1932 in Oshkosh, WI. Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, John Lockhorst, her parents, William Lawler of Plainview, AR and Nina Smith of Clearlake Oaks, CA, and step-son, John Lockhorst, Jr.

Baxter Buel Lofland Jr. age 39, died in a road grader accident near his home of Gravelly on October 20, 1954. He had made a profession of faith in 1942. He was a member of Wm. J. Parks Lodge 376 F&AM at Gravelly, a certified lecturer in the Masonic Order and member of Gravelly Chapter of OES.

Lofland, Billy Seth "Bill"

Mr. Billy Seth "Bill" Lofland, age 65, of Briggsville, AR died Tuesday, January 27, 1998 at his home. He was born May 30, 1932 in Bluffton, AR to the late Homer and Oda Caviness Lofland. He was a retired law enforcement officer with the U. S. Forest Service and a member of the Bluffton Methodist Church and an Air Force Veteran.

Lofland, Bud

Gravelly Man Killed In Road Accident - Bud Lofland, about 36, of Gravelly was killed Wednesday afternoon while driving a county road grader near Gravelly. He was driving the patrol home on the north road between Bluffton and Gravelly about 3 p. m. and apparently lost control of the machine going down a hill. The patrol struck a bridge at the foot of the hill and Lofland was thrown from it and crushed under a wheel. He was killed instantly.

C. O. Lofland died Saturday, November 29th in Rockwall Nursing Home after an extended illness. He was born at Gravelly and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Lofland and moved to Rockwall at the age of twenty-one. He was a former business owner in Rockwall.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dewey Lofland of the home; two sons, J. S. Lofland and Joe C. Lofland both of Rockwall; one daughter, Mrs. Horace Smith of Tyler, one brother, T. S. (Sid) Lofland of Rockwall; two sisters, Mrs. Battice Rhoades of Rockwall and Mrs. Allie Swaim of Danville; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Monday, December 1st at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Rockwall with Rev. Walter Zimmerman, pastor and Rev. M. L. Jones, pastor of the First Baptist Church officiating. Interment was in Rockwall Cemetery. Pallbearers were W. T. Collins, Robert Lofland, J. L. Lofland, Opal Hunnicutt, Ralph M. Lofland, Gussie Dora

Mrs. Gussie Dora Lofland, age 92, of Bluffton, AR died Friday, February 4, 1994 at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville. She was born February 25, 1901 in Bluffton to the late Seth William and Rose Malone Lofland. She was a retired school teacher with the Fourche Valley School District and a life time member of the Bluffton Methodist Church.

Survivors two nephews, Billy Seth Lofland, Sr. Briggsville, AR and Tom Caviness, Jr. Texarkana, AR; a niece, Betty Rose Linebarier, Camden, AR; nine great nephews and nieces.

Services were Sunday at the Bluff-ton Methodist Church with Rev. Royce Savage officiating. Interment was hi Bluffton Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Service. Lofland, Homer Lee

Homer Lee Lofland, age 63, of Bluff ton, died Friday, February 10, at the Veterans Hospital in Little Rock. He was a retired state employee, a member of the Bluffton Masonic Lodge, and the son of Homer Virgil Lofland and the late Oda Caviness Lofland.

He is survived by two daughters; Judy Bales of Dallas, TX., and Lena Wall of Little Rock; one brother, Billy Seth Lofland of Briggsville; one sister, Betty Rose Linebarger Of Camden ; and one grandson.

Graveside services were Monday, February 13, at 10:00 a.m. at Bluffton Cemetery with the Reverend Compton George officiating. Homer Virgil Lofland, age 87, of Briggsville, died Tuesday, December 3 at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Oda Parks Lofland, and one son, Homer Lee Lofland. He was a retired farmer and a member of Bluffton United Methodist Church.

Lofland, James Riley

James R. Lofland - Rockwall and Rockwall County lost one of its most respected citizens last week when James Riley Lofland, known throughout this area as "Uncle Jim," passed away at the home of a son here, Saturday, August 12, 1950. Mr. Lofland was 92 years, 6 months and 6 days old. Mr. Lofland was born in Bluffton, Ark and was married to Sarah Frances Holiman, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by the following of his 10 children: Wallace G. Lofland of Lubbock; William T. Jo Breashears Lofland, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, age 82, resident of Little Rock passed away Monday, July 14, 2008, at the Saline Memorial Hospital. She was born Jan. 7, 1926, in Rover to the late John S. Breashears and Ola Brown Breashears. Ms. Lofland had a passion for working in her yard with flowers, gardening, and cooking and sharing her bounty with others. She went to work for the Arkansas State Police in the accident record section in 1959 and retired in 1987. She was a hard worker, and dedicated loyal employee, always trying to help others.

Survivors include two daughters, Judy Bales and husband Jack of Hot Springs, and Lena Wall and Ray Sullivan of Mabelvale; two brothers, Baxter Breashears and Leroy Breashears, both of Russellville; sister, Mary Hunt of Danville; grandson, Wes Gross and wife Shelly of Little Rock; great-granddaughter, Lacey Lacey Gross of Little Rock, and a host of nieces and nephews,

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Bobby, Ned, Ted, Hayes, and Bill Breashears, and a sister, Sue Lewis Cox.

LOFTIS -- Emma Marcella Loftis, born May 9, 1923 in Yell County, Arkansas passed away Thursday, August 6, 2009 in her home in Albuquerque, NM.

Mrs. Ada Lokey, who had been ill for several months, passed away Thursday a. m. April 1, 1948 at the age of 68 years, at the home of her only daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Toney.

Mrs. Lucy Florence Strode Hudson London, resident of Schulter, OK died Tuesday, January 21, 1997 in Okmulgee, OK at the age of 90. She was born February 16, 1906 in Newton County, AR to Richard and Minnie Strode. She married John Hudson in 1922 they were married 36 years until his death in 1958 at Danville, AR. They lived near Belleville, AR several years. She married Lawrence London at Okmulgee in October 1962. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence London on October 5, 1968.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Geneva Payne; husband, Henry Long and sister, Margaret Belcher.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Long in 1994.
