Fowler, Pearl

Pearl Fowler, age 84, of Gravelly, Yell County, AR, died Saturday, December 27, 1997, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Gravelly, and was a daughter of the late Will and Maude Smith Hunnicutt. She was a charter member of the Gravelly Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and served as the chapter's first Worthy Matron. She was a former president of the Fourche Valley School Parent Teacher Association, and was a member of the Gravely United Methodist Church, where she had served as a past superintendent of the church.

Survivors include her husband, Euel Fowler; a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Larry Aikman of Bluffton; four brothers, Bruce and Wayne Hunnicutt both of Gravelly, Leo Hunnicutt of Danville and Ralph Hunnicutt of Oklahoma; two sisters, Lois Douthit of Pine Bluff and Myrtle Duvall of Kansas; three grandchildren, Cecelia Rice of Bluffton, Cynthia Hoffmann of North Little Rock and Larry Aikman, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was December 29, 1997 at the Gravelly United Methodist Church with Rev. Charlie Jones and Larry Aikman, Jr. officiating. Burial was in the Young Gravelly Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jake and Joe Pickens, Jim and Newt Roberson, Jim Aikman and Kent Dennis. Memorials may be made to the Gravelly United Methodist Church. Fowler, Ralph Jefferson "Jack"

Ralph Jefferson "Jack" Fowler, age 95 of Danville, AR died Friday, October 10, 2003 at Oak Manor Nursing Home and Rehab. He was born in Gravelly, AR on December 17, 1907 son of the late Alfred Warren and Maggie Spince Williamson Fowler. He was a retired courier for the Air Force Civil Service and a member of the Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorea "Jackie" Putman Fowler; a son, Donald Bruce Fowler; a daughter, LaDonna Gail Larsen; two brothers, Fred Fowler and Tony "Doc" Fowler; three sisters, Margie Bertine Rhoades, Malevia "Shug" Poindexter and Era Mae Marler.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Etta and Mike Leek of Danville, AR; daughter-in-law, Sondra Raye Fowler, Palmer, AK; two sisters, Mattie Isabel "Pat" Day of Oklahoma City, OK and Lorena "Cat" Pierce of Ola, AR; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

Fowler, Robert Bryant

Robert Bryant Fowler, 73, of Danville, passed away at Mitchell Nursing Home, Friday, June 14, 2002 in Danville. He was born at Shark, in Yell County on December 24, 1928.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Maxine Cox Fowler; his parents, George Bryant Fowler, Ada Bennett Fowler and Nellie Fowler, two brothers, Raymond Fowler, Rufus Fowler and a sister, Ruby Fowler Ryan and a grandson, Will Fowler. He was a retired poultry and cattle farmer, and employee for the Yell County Record in Danville and a Baptist.

Services will be Monday, June 17, 2002, 1:00 p. m. at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Danville by Rev. Earl Stapleton.

Survivors include his five children and spouses, Mary and David Fisher of Danville; Wayne Fowler of Atkins; Jan and Don Huntley of Mesa, AZ; Ann and Jim Bryant of Kingston and Tom and Brenda Fowler of Rt. Dardanelle; One sister, Retta and Ricky Woolfolk of Nixa, MO; one step-brother, Les Cox of Rt. 1 Belleville; and a sister-in-law, Lucille Fowler of Little Rock. Mr. Ronald Fowler, age 48, of Briggsville, AR died Sunday, November 21, 1993 at St. Vincent's Infirmary in Little Rock, AR. He was a native of Yell County, the son of the late Roy L. Fowler and Mrs. Sadie James Fowler of Danville. He was a farmer and member of the NRA.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Bobby C. Fowler.

Sadie Vida Lee Fowler, age 89 of Dutch Creek, died Monday, February 11, 2008 at her home. She was born January 19, 1919 in Scott County, AR to the late Perry and Lessie Hunt James. She was a homemaker and a member of Chalybeate Springs Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Fowler; sons, Bob, Ron, James, and Sonny Fowler; daughter-in-law, Brenda Rickett Fowler; grandchildren, Tracy Fowler, Steve Fowler, Kelly Fowler, April Rhoades, Troy Fowler, Jr. Melissa Spears Sherrill; and great-grandson, Bradley Meirndorf.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Troy Fowler of Dutch Creek, Floyd and Judy Fowler of Dutch Creek, Wayne and Charlotte Fowler of Havana; daughters and sons-in-law, Norma and Charles Crumley of Austin, TX, Brenda and Thermon Spears of Rover, Phyllis and Bobby Rhoades of Danville, Barbra and Victor Patton of Ranger, Billie and Jerry Hunt of Dutch Creek, Juana Lou and Ronnie Holt of Dutch Creek, Jan and Brad Ward of Rover; brother, Gene James of Gravelly; 45 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Troy Lee Fowler, Jr., age 31, of Atkins, AR died Wednesday, December 21, 1994 at his home in Atkins. He was born October, 23, 1963 in Friona, TX. He was an employee of Tyson, Dardanelle.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Tracy Ree Fowler and grandfather, Roy L. Fowler.

Velma Lucile Fowler, 84, of Liltle Rock, passed away February 25, 2012. Born in Bristol, Tennessee to William and Blanche Dancey Alderson, she was a member of Little Rock's First Baptist Church for over 60 years. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rufus "Bill" Fowler, formerly of Danville; sister, Margaret Holyfield and brothers, Billy and Bobby Alderson.

She is survived by her daughter, Katherine and husband Ronnie Bettis and son, George Fowler, all of Little Rock; granddaughters, Melissa and husband, Josh Geering of Richardson, TX, Amy and husband, Donnie Baker of Fayetteville, Heather Fowler of Bryant and Lindsey Bettis of Dallas, TX; great-grandchildren, Luke Geering, Elizabeth Katherine Geering, Gabriel Baker, Isaac Geering, and Mary Katherine Baker, who is expected to arrive in June. Wayne Fowler, age 67, of Havana passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at the V.A. Hospital in Little Rock. Wayne was born July 17, 1949, in England, Arkansas to the late Roy L. & Sadie Vida Lee James Fowler, He was an Army Vietnam Veteran. He was a Lifetime Member of the VFW, member of the NRA, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Wild Turkey Federation, and Ducks Unlimited. He was a retired poultry farmer. Wayne Bryant Fowler, age 52, of Atkins, AR died Friday morning, November 21, 2003 at his home. He was a retired computer instrument technician for Dow Chemical Inc., a former Boy Scout Leader, avid collector and musician. He was a 1969 graduate of Belleville High School Belleville, AR.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Robert and Maxine Fowler of Danville and an infant son, William Thomas Fowler.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Robert Wayne and Christina Fowler of Atkins; a step daughter, Stephanie Watson of Atkins; one brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Brenda Fowler of Dardanelle; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and David Fisher of Danville; Jan and Don Huntley of Mesa, AZ; Ann and Jim Bryant of Kingston; two grandsons, Jordan Fowler and Andreu Watson; and granddaughter, Hannah Watson; two nieces, Billie Fowler and Bobbie Roberson of Mesa, AZ; one nephew, Davy Fisher of Fayetteville; three great nieces and one great nephew.

Mrs. Laura Haney Fox, age 89, of Havana, died June 18, 1969 at Yell County Hospital, Danville. She was the widow of J. A. Fox, daughter of the late Clarence and Lavina Roundsaville, and was a member of the Havana United Methodist Church.

Fox, Will

Will Fox, age 70, died at his home North of Plainview on Friday, December 29, 1950. He was born August 25, 1880 near New Bethel. He had been in ill health for the last two years. He was married to Miss Alyne Kendarick in 1907 and to this union two children were born. He spent his entire life near Plainview and was a retired farmer.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Mrs. Alyne Fox, two daughters, Mrs. Jimmie Shirley, San Pedro, Calif. Mrs. Willie Dale, Annapolis, Maryland; one brother, J. A. Fox, Havana; one sister, Mrs. Ida Swann, Fulton, Arkansas and four grandchildren.

Fox, Wilma Woods

Wilma Woods Fox, 86 of Magazine, passed away May 10, 2003 at her home in Oak Manor Nursing Home. She was born June 2, 1916 in Driggs, Arkansas to the late Dors and Molly Yancy. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Booneville.

She was preceded in death by her son Alvis Denton; her daughter Shirley Haller; two brothers, and one sister.

She is survived by three daughters, Juanita Means of Canon City, Colorado, Linda Hogan of Magazine Arkansas; one Daughter-in-law Sandy Denton Robertson of Booneville, AR. 14 Grandchildren; 31 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Frame, Billy

Waveland man Fatally Wounded By Officer In Fight At Havana - Billy Frame, 48, Waveland, was shot and killed at about 11 a. m. yesterday during a fight in front of the cafe at Havana. Eugene Burrows, deputy sheriff of Waveland, said he had clubbed Frame in the face with his pistol and the gun fired accidentally. Frame was shot in the mouth and there were powder burns on the face.

Sheriff Earl E. Ladd investigated the shooting and placed Burrows in the jail at Danville. Robert Hays Williams, Prosecuting Attorney, questioned Burrows yesterday and ordered him held in jail without charge pending further investigation. No charges have been filed and the case will be brought before the Grand Jury in August. Mr. Chester Marvin Frame, age 68, of Havana, died Friday, October 26 at the Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was a native of Waveland, Yell County, Arkansas, son of the late James Floyd and Zelia Shott Frame, a retired employee of a farm equipment manufacturing company and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. lnez McCourt Frame, one son, Jerry Frame of Havana, one daughter Linda Mitchell of Havana, five brothers, Herbert Frame of Jacksonville, AR, Don Frame of Danville, Loyd Frame, Wendell Frame, and James F. Frame all of Centerville, one sister Helen Jestice of Centerville, three grandchildren, Jeff, Tim and Jerrie Frame, 2 great-grandchildren.

Herbert Lee Frame, age 76, of Centerville, died Monday, January 28, 2008 at his home. He was born October 8, 1931 at Waveland to the late James Floyd and Zelia Shott Frame. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by two sisters, Merle McCourt, Helen Justice; two brothers, Lloyd Frame, and Chester Frame; and his wife of 30 years, Dorothy Frame.

Frame, James Floyd, Jr.

James Floyd Frame Jr. (Crock) went to be with his Heavenly Father, July 30, 2016, in Norman, OK. He was with his family who loved him dearly. James was born in Palestine, AR on April 28, 1935 and grew up in Waveland, AR. He married the love of his life Ruby E. James on May 31, 1957 and they were married for 59 years. James was a brick mason and later a truck driver. His passions were his grandchildren, playing the bass guitar and antique cars.

James was preceded in death by: his parents, Zelia and Floyd Frame; three brothers, Chester, Lloyd and Herbert Frame; and two Sisters, Muriel and Helen Frame.

He is survived by his spouse, Ruby E. Frame of the home. Mrs. Zelia Agatha Frame, 75, of Centerville died Tuesday, January 30, at St. Edward's Hospital at Fort Smith. She was a native of Waveland, the widow of James Floyd Frame and was a member of the Havana Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include six sons, Chester and Herbert Frame, both of Plainview; TX, Loyd Frame of Russellville, James "Crock" Frame of Waveland, Wendell Frame of Centerville and Don Frame of Danville; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Jestice of Centerville, and Mrs. Muriel McCourt of Plainview, TX; four sisters, Mrs. Zell Scott, Mrs. Carmen Nelms and Mrs. Marie Ensey, all of Waveland, and Mrs. Media Boss of Maryland; 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a number of nephews and nieces.

Allan Franklin, age 52, a resident of Russellville, AR died Tuesday, March 7, 2000 at Arkansas Hospice Eugene J. Towbin Health Care Center at No. Little Rock, AR. He was born on July 16, 1947 at Miami, FL to Edward and Gloria Martha Cheatham Franklin. He was an electrician, member of the IBEW Union 295 in Little Rock, member of Retreads, raced cars at the Centerville Speedway and was a Methodist.

Lamar Franklin Fraser, age 64, of Slo-Fork, Yell County, Arkansas, died Sunday, September 1, 2002 at his home. Frazier, Avanell "Granny" (Sexton)

Avanell "Granny" Frazier, age 73, of Dardanelle passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born July 27, 1939 in Mount Judea, Arkansas to Duey and Bessie (Riddle) Sexton. She was a Christian who had a passion for life that impacted so many lives through the years. She loved sewing, cooking, working in her flower beds and going to the beauty shop every Friday at 4:30. On the weekends she loved to go to yard sales and she never passed up a good thrift store. She was "Granny" to all those who loved and knew her. "Granny" loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and all the little ones she kept through the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Eugene, James, and Guy Sexton; two sisters, Jewell Campbell and Christine Heath.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Loyd Frazier of Dardanelle; two daughters, Glenda Osterhout and husband Ronald of Ola. Brenda Howell and husband Kenny of Dardanelle; son, Mikel Frazier and wife Angela of Russellville; grandchildren, Ronald Osterhout, Jr. of Danville, Jennifer Osterhout of Ola, Samantha Souriyavong of Ola, Morgan Frazier of Russellville, Kaden Watson of Dardanelle; four great-grandchildren, Matthew Jones, Isabella Esquivel, Ronald Esquivel, and Joshua Lara; and many other relatives and friends.

Frazier, Bonnie "B. L."

Bonnie "B. L." Frazier, age 78, of Russellville, AR died Saturday, July 21, 2007, at Russellville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born September 11, 1928, in Havana, Arkansas to Loyd Franklin and Mae Murray Frazier. He was a World War II veteran, taught at Bellville, Arkansas and was superintendent of schools at Havana. He had a lengthy career with Firestone Tire - and Rubber Company including staffing the new Firestone plant at Russellville. He was production superintendent at Continental-Emsco in Garland, Texas, plant manager for EnerSteel in El Paso, Texas, and owner of Permian Pump and Supply Inc. in Goldsmith, Texas until his retirement in 2001.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Beth Hoffman Frazier, sons, Al Frazier of Russellville and his family, Becky, Jordan, and Clayton; Gary Frazier of Springdale, Arkansas and his family, Merilyn, Adam, and Sarah; and Keith Frazier of Malvern, Arkansas; a daughter, Denise Henderson of Dardanelle, Arkansas and her husband William; a granddaughter, Amanda Irby and her family, Joe, Logan, and Noah of Conway, Arkansas; a brother, Loyd H. Frazier of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; and a sister, Zelta Bell of Danville, Arkansas.

A funeral mass was held July 24, 2007, at Saint John's Catholic Church in Russellville with Fr. William F. Thomas officiating. Burial was in Atkins Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service. Pallbearers were Clayton Frazier, Jordan Frazier, Dr. John Wink, Don Woods, Jim Graham, and Ed Preas.
