Dewitt, Zoe Abbigale

Zoe Abbigale DeWitt, age 1, of Russellville, AR died Saturday, June 9, 2007 at home. She was born May 19, 2006 in Russellville.

She was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Lloyd Hicks, Elmer DeWitt, Jewel and Eldon Burris; a brother, Jacob DeWitt and a cousin, Heath Catlett.

She is survived by her parents, Jerrad and Jackie DeWitt of Russellville; a sister, Emylie Hull of Dardanelle, AR; great grandparents, Monroe and Betty Garner of Dardanelle, AR and Joyce Meyers and Marie DeWitt of Magazine, AR; grandparents, Jerry and Linda DeWitt of Russellville; special aunts, Tara Huff and Connie White; special uncles, Jordan DeWitt, Jason DeWitt, Justin DeWitt, Richard Love and Billy Hubbard; a special family friend, Beatrice Carrillo and numerous other family and friends.

Funeral service was June 12, 2007 at the First Assembly of God in Russellville with Rev. Keith Underhill officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Richard Love, Lorin Horton, Mathew Patterman, Jordan DeWitt, Billy Hubbard and Kristy Carroll in honor of Heath Catlett. Dickau, Roy

Roy Dickau, age 81, of Dardanelle, died Monday, January 5, 2004 at St. Mary's Reg. Med. Ctr. in Russellville. He was born at Atkinson, Nebraska on June 11, 1922 to the late Henry F. and Delia Waters Dickau. He was a WWII veteran and a member of the VFW Post 2283 in Russellville. He was self-employed in retail sales.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra K. Morgan; one brother, Earl Dickau and one sister, Nellie Fern.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Alice Cox Dickau of Dardanelle; a son, Robert Lee Campbell of Dardanelle; 2 daughters, Pamela Sue Reid and Kathleen Ann Kenedy, both of Dardanelle; 6 grandchildren, Melinda M. Tewell of Newmarket, TN, Timothy Morgan of Newmarket, TN, Christopher M. Kugler of Russellville, Misty Amber Campbell of Newmarket, TN, James F. R. Kugler of Tucson, AZ, Dustin L. Kenedy of Dardanelle; 4 great granddaughters.

Dickens, Annie Bell

Annie Bell Dickens, age 93, of Dardanelle, AR died Monday, September 27, 1999 at the Dardanelle Hospital. She was born April 23, 1906 in Dardanelle, AR to the late Aaron and Jimmie Perry Dickens; she was a member of the Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters.

Survivors include two sisters, Gladys Richardson and Artense Taylor both of Dardanelle, AR; two sisters-in-law, Oma and Delia Dickens both of Dardanelle, AR; 25 nieces and nephews; 69 great-nieces and nephews and several great-great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was October 1, 1999 at the Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church near Centerville with Rev. Greg Reed officiating. Burial was at Sweet Home Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Service of Dardanelle, AR. Dickens, Bobby "Bob" Gene

Bobby "Bob" Gene Dickens, 76, of Atkins, died Saturday, March 5, 2011 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. He was born in Windham, Texas on October 10, 1934, the son of William Eugene and Iva Star Dickens.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Geraldine Dickens of Atkins; a daughter and son-in- law, Brenda Lee "Dickens" Peterson and husband Scott of Atkins; a son, Bobby Lee Dickens of California; and six grandchildren, John Wesley Dickens, Bobby Dickens, Jr., Amber Dickens, Madison Dickens, Stacy Lynn Dickens Cams, and Angel Peterson Pawley and husband Jared.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 12, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Lemley Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will be held in California at a later date. Dickens, Delia M.

Delia M. Dickens, 93, of Dardanelle died Friday, February 17, 2006 at Dardanelle Nursing Center. Born October 2, 1912 in Dardanelle, she was the daughter of the late Elton and Nancy Lewis Thompson. She was a member of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church for more than 80 years where she was active in the Womens Mission, a club captain and sang in the choir. She retired as a custodian from Arkansas Tech University.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Herman Dickens and Eake Dickens; a daughter, Gladys Dickens; five brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include a son, Lonnie G. Dickens of Dardanelle; a stepdaughter, Mary L. Williams of Kansas City, MO; two brothers, Henry Thompson and Elton Isadore Thompson both of Dardanelle; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral will be held 2:00 p. m. Dickens, Erven Lee "Buddy"

Erven Lee "Buddy" Dickens, age 84 of Blue Mountain went to be with the Lord peacefully at home Monday, February 18th, 2008 after an inspiring battle with heart disease. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He retired from Plumber's and Pipefitter's Union and has over 55 years continuous service. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Little Rock.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Nellie Onedia "Sis" Dickens.

He is survived by their four sons, Larry Sr. and wife, Laura, Gary, Paul, John and wife Amanda, all of Little Rock area; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three sisters, Marie Hattabaugh of Mansfield, Faye West and Retha Bowden both of Belleville, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Eva Dickens, age 80 of Plainview, AR died Sunday, February 25, 2001 at Sparks Medical Center in Ft. Smith, AR. She was born in Scott County, AR October 3, 1920, daughter of the late Lidge and Mandy Slater Wagner. She was retired from Wayne Poultry, a mother and homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonzo Dickens, a grandson, Mike Dickens and a granddaughter, Lee Ann Meriweather; two brothers and two sisters.

DANVILLE - Mrs. Eva Mae Ornsbey Dickens, 39, of Danville died Saturday, July 27. She was a federal inspector for the U. S. Department of Agriculture and was a member of Rover Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Lonnie Ray Dickens; two sons, Douglas Wayne and Michael Wayne Dickens of Danville; her mother, Mrs. Bertha Ornsbey of Rover; three brothers, George Ornsbey of Newburg, Mo. and Riley Fred and Bob Ornsbey of Rover, and four sisters, Mrs. Imogene Blankenship and Mrs. Bonnie Stone of Rover, Mrs. Ruby Phillips of El Dorado and Mrs. Martha Paine of Russellville.

Geraldine Frances Dickens, age 80, of Atkins died Saturday, November 11, 2017, at her home. She was born June 14, 1937, at Niles, California to the late Antone Franco.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers; one sister and her husband, Bobby (Bob) Dickens.

Survivors include her daughter, Brenda (Dickens) Peterson and husband Scot of Atkins; her son, Bobby Lee Dickens of Atkins and six grandchildren, Angel Peterson, Bobby Lee Dickens Jr., Amber Dickens, J.W. Larry Alan "Boog" Dickens, Jr., age 29 of Little Rock, AR, went to be with the Lord at home Wednesday, April 7, 2010. He was a loving husband, son, brother, nephew and uncle. He was a journeyman plumber. He was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church of Memphis. TN.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, E. L. "Buddy" Dickens and Nellie Onedia "Sis" Dickens of Little Rock and his maternal grandfather, Jack Kenward of Pine Bluff.

He is survived by his wife, Laura; his parents, Larry and Laura Dickens; his sister, Amanda Ervin; his niece, Natalie Ervin, all of Little Rock; his maternal grandmother, Joan Kenward of Pine Bluff; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family and friends.

DARDANELLE - Lonnie G. Dickens, 78, of Dardanelle died Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Atkins Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born November 4, 1934, in Dardanelle to the late Herman and Della Mae Thompson Dickens. He was retired from Contel Communication and was a member of Dardanelle Unity Missionary Baptist Church. Lonnie loved to fish and lending a helping hand to people in the community when they needed it.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his son, Gary Dickens and wife, Claire, of West Covina, Calif.; grandchildren, Gary Jr., Blake and Lawrence Dickens, all of Las Vegas, Nev., Felicia Williams and Johnny Kirk, both of West Covina; great-granddaughter, Kyra Dickens of Las Vegas; one uncle, Isadore Thompson of Dardanelle; one aunt, Gladys Richardson of Dardanelle; cousins, Richard Taylor and wife, Betty, James O. Nellie Onedia (Sis) Dickens, 75 of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord peacefully at her home Wednesday, October 12, 2005 after an inspiring battle with cancer. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She retired from Pulaski County voter registration, and a long standing member of the President's Club of Avon Products. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Little Rock.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, E.L. (Buddy) Dickens four sons, Larry Sr. and wife Laura, Gary and late wife Nancy, Paul, John and wife Amanda all of Little Rock six grandchildren, Ashley, Larry Jr., Chris, Amanda, Leah and Taylor four brothers, S.J. (Red) Ross, Formosa, Bill Ross, Little Rock, Bob Ross, Kansas City, MO, Dale Ross, Conroe, TX; twelve nieces and nephews and numerous extended family and friends.

Oma Lee Dickens, age 91, of Dardanelle, AR died November 13, 2009 at River Valley Medical Center. She was born July 16, 1918 to the late Arthur and Mattie Robinson McNeal. She was a member of the Sweet Home Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Linzy Thompson and Loye Dickens; two children, Otha Lee "Joe" and Tommy Thompson; 3 brothers, and a sister.

Anna M. Dickey, age 86 of Mt. Ida, formerly of Hot Springs, died Wednesday, November 20, 2002 in the Montgomery County Nursing Home, Mt. Ida, AR. She was born July 10, 1916 in Michigan to Joseph and Mary Smoluch. She was a homemaker and one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was predeceased by her husband, James I. Dickey and son, Carl David Dickey.

Survivors include five sons, James J. (Sonny) Dickey, Sr. of Liberty Community; Paul E. Dickey, Sr. of Hot Springs, Phillip A. Charles Daniel Dickey, born September 22, 1951, to James I. and Anna M. (Smoluch) Dickey, passed away May 18, 2011 in Wytheville, VA. He was a 1969 graduate from Hot Springs High School and a mechanic.

He was survived by three brothers: James (Sonny) Dickey of Belleville, Phillip Dickey of Hot Springs, and John A. Dickey of Pencil Bluff, AR.

Charles Richard Dickey, 89, of Mooresville, [North Carolina] passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017. He was born on May 30, 1927 in Belleville, AR, to the late Alfred Allie and Clyde Harriet Ann Moudy Dickey. He served 27 years in the US Army traveling to Korea, Japan and Iran, before retiring in Castroville, CA. He was a member of the El Paso, Texas Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Fujiko Dickey; brothers, Raymond, Ray, Ralph, Alfred Randall, Rudy Dickey; sisters, Lamoine Bishop, Letannah Link Bishop.

He is survived by his children, Charles Richard Dickey, Jr. and wife, Gloria Jane of Mooresville, Robert Alfred Dickey of Portland, Oregon; sisters, Lydia Frazier Franklin of Russellville, AR, Lavada Gordon of Torrance, CA; grandchildren, Christopher Richard Dickey, Stephanie Marie McNamara, Elizabeth Ann Sterner, Annette Marie Dickey, Kyle Robert Charles Dickey; great grandchildren, Jayson Bransen McMahan, Jackson Britton McMahan, Kate Somer Sterner and Charles Ryan Dickey.

James Joseph "Sonny" Dickey, Sr., age 75, of Belleville, AR passed away Saturday, May 19, 2012 at his home. He was born January 24, 1937 in Havana, AR to the late James Issac & Anna Mary Smoluch Dickey. He was a member of the Big Marzard Hunting Club in Hot Springs.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son James J. "Jimmy" Dickey, Jr.; brothers, Carl David Dickey, Charles Daniel Dickey and Paul Edward Dickey, Sr.

Survivors include wife of 23 years, Flo Dickey; children & spouses, Robert & Jackie Dickey of Hot Springs; Cheryl & Danny Ditgen of Buckville; William R. & Carmen Hulsey of Gulfport, MS; Odessa Lynn & Doug Keller of Portland, Oregon; brothers, Phillip Dickey of Hot Springs and John Dickey of Pencil BIuff; 10 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Liberty Community Church with Rev. Earl Stapleton officiating. Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery in Belleville. Dickey, Owen Lynn

Owen Lynn Dickey, age 60 of Dardanelle, died Friday, April 25, 2003 at the Dardanelle Nursing Center. He was born February 8, 1943 in Broseley, Missouri to the late Claud and Lettie Williams Dickey. He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Dardanelle, Boyce-Woods VFW Post 3141 in Dardanelle, and a Navy Veteran. He was a member of Bright Star Lodge 213 in Dardanelle, Elizabeth Lodge 215 in New Blaine, Western Scottish Rite Bodies, 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, past district Deputy Grand Master, Past Grand Tyler, Past Honorary Grand Master of Grand Lodge of Arkansas. He retired after eighteen years as a meter reader for AP&L.

Survivors are his wife of 36 years, Valene Hildrich Dickey; three daughters and sons-in-law, Leanne and Jackie Summit of Russellville, Rebecca and Jon Irons of Hot Springs, Ashley and Will Bowers of Dardanelle; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Leon and Velta Dickey and Leo and Peggy Dickey all of Popular Bluff, Missouri; two grandchildren, Casey Summitt and Caleb Summitt both of Russellville; two nephews and two nieces.

Services were Monday, April 28, 2003, at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Dardanelle with Rev. Pat Baze and Rev. Jarad Higginbotham officiating. Graveside services with military honors by Boyce-Woods VFW Post 3141 in Dardanelle and Masonic Rites. Interment was in Brearley Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home, Dardanelle. Paul Edward Dickey, Sr. age 58 of Hot Springs, AR died Thursday, September 11, 2003 at a local hospital in Hot Springs. He was born September 26, 1944 at Tucson, Arizona to James I and Anna Smoluch Dickey. He was a former employee of NSC, and St. Michaels School. He was instrumental in the development of the electronic coin counting machine. He was a carpenter. He attended Jefferson Vocational School in Alexandria, VA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Carl David Dickey and a nephew, James Joseph Dickey, Jr.

Dickey, Ray Winston

Ray Winston Dickey, age 86, passed away, Tuesday, September 2, 2008, in McKinney, Texas. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 20, 1922, in Belleville, Arkansas to the late A. A. and Clyde Moudy Dickey. He was a member of the Cedar Creek Church of Christ, where he was baptized as a young man. He was one of the first students to graduate from Belleville High School in 1940. While attending Belleville High School he was a member of the High School Quartet, along with his brother Raymond Dickey, Doyle and Earl Barrick, where they won 1st Place in the State Quartet Competition. He enlisted in the Navy on January 13th, 1943, where he served in the construction battalion in WWII. He married Evelyn Bernice Link on November 4th, 1945 and started a family. They moved to Lubbock, Texas, in 1948. He and his family joined the Quaker Avenue Church of Christ of Lubbock. He was the co-owner of Dickey-Frazier Mill Works on Erskine Avenue until it was destroyed by a tornado in 1988. They rebuilt as Dickey-Frazier Lumber and began building and remodeling homes. He returned to Belleville, AR, in 1995. He attended the Piney Forks Church of Christ with his brother, Raymond Dickey. He spent his time fishing and visiting at the corner caf with his friends and family. He remained in Bellville until 2007 where he moved to McKinney, Texas, to live with his son.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 46 years, Evelyn Bernice Link Dickey; four brothers, Raymond, Randall, Ralph, and Rudolph Dickey; a sister, Letannah (Dickey) Link Bishop; a son-in-law, Sammy Beevers; six nephews, Lance Cunningham, John Gregory Link, Kenneth Dickey, Dennis Dickey, Sherman Link and James Butch Watts; two nieces, Tami Link and Jonna Link; and a special granddaughter, Amy Michelle Rae.

He is survived by his five children; Charles Ray Dickey and his wife Joy of Austin, Texas; Shirley Ann Carr and her husband Steve of College Station, Texas; James A. Dickey and his wife Jana of McKinney, Texas; Judy Louise Dickey of Lubbock, Texas; and Rebecca Lynn Beevers of Lubbock, Texas; 15 grandchildren, Cheryl Gilmore, Stephanie Fine, Jennifer Wojcik, Bradley Gose, Joseph Carr, James (Jimbo) Dickey, Amanda Moutous, Clinton Calmes, Laura Brandenburg, Phillip Hollabaugh, Ashley McPherson, Amber Hollabaugh, Shauna Hollabaugh, Aaron Beevers, and Charlie Beevers; 34 great-grandchildren; one brother Richard Dickey of Belleville, AR; three sisters, Lamoine Bishop of Yorba Linda, CA, Lavada Gordom of Torrance, CA, and Lydia Franklin of Russellville, AR.

Pallbearers were Mark Gilmore, Brad Gose, Phillip Hollabaugh, Jimbo Dickey, Aaron Beevers and Charlie Beevers. Honorary Pallbearers: Clinton Calmes, Joseph Carr and Mike McPherson. Raymond Leon Dickey, age 82, of Belleville, AR died Saturday, March 20, 2004 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. He was born May 1, 1921 in Belleville to the late Alfred Allie and Clyde Harriet Moudy Dickey. He was the retired owner of Dickey Refrigerated Services and former owner of Dickey Millworks in Lubbock and a WWII Army Veteran. He was a member of the Piney Fork Church of Christ and the Belleville Chamber of Commerce.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Lee Dickey and Dennis Leon Dickey; three brothers, Randall, Ralph and Rudy Dickey and a son-in-law, Butch Watts.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret Adams Dickey; two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Ruth Dickey of Victoria, TX and Bruce and Kay Dickey of Russellville, AR; daughter, Paula Watts of Belleville, AR; two brothers and sister-in-law, Ray Dickey and Richard and Dot Dickey all of Belleville, AR; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Letonnah Bishop, Ponca City, OK, Lamoine Bishop and Lavada and Harold Gordon all of California and Lydia Franklin of Russellville, AR; a sister-in-law. Gertie Carman, CA; seven grandchildren, Mark Watts, Annie Cain, Douglas Dickey, Warren Dickey, Karyn Martin, John Preston Dickey and Alisa Dickey and eight great grandchildren, Savannah Kilburn, Katy Petchenik, Santannah and Shelby Cain, James Raymond and Dalton Watts, Samantha Fleming and Krystin Martin.

Funeral service was March 23, 2004 at Western Yell County Church of Christ with Bro. Gary Frazier and Bro. Foy Mitchell officiating. Mrs. Savannah Ann Brigham Dickey, aged 86, died January 27 in the home of a son, A.A. Dickey, of Havana. She had made her home there for the greater part of the time since her husband's death 25 years ago. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Dickinson, Henry

Henry Dickinson, age 81, died June 26, 1956 of a heart attack at his home near Ola. Mr. Dickinson or Uncle Henry as he was better know, was born at Ragland, Ala, and came with his parents to Arkansas at an early age. He had lived in Yell County for more than 60 years and had been active on his farm, located about 7 miles west of Ola, for 58 years. He had continued farming up until his death, although he had been suffering from a heart ailment for the past year.

DANVILLE - Calvin Ed Dickson, age 92, of Plainview died Sunday, September 7, 1986 at Yell County Hospital. He was a native of Garland County, a retired farmer, son of the late Jim and Elizabeth Merriott Dickson and was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include five daughters, Margie Brown, Ruby Glascock and Mae Jones of Oregon, Faye Lunsford of Malvern and Sarah Lunsford of California; 24 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Charles Dickson, age 81 of Hollis, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Yell County Nursing Home. He was born May 25, 1930 in Steve, AR to the late James Walker and Beadie Rachel Tiller Dickson. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of the Pentecostal Church and a Mason.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ervin Dickson.

Dickson, Dorothy (Buckman)

Dorothy Buckman Dickson, age 89, of Belleville passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Mitchell's Nursing Home. She was born October 10, 1925 near Belleville, Arkansas to the late Henry N. and Mamie Farmer Buckman. Dorothy retired from teaching after 38 years in the Western Yell County Elementary School. She graduated from Arkansas Tech and was a member of Arkansas Retired Teachers and Yell County retired Teachers Association. She was an active member of the Havana Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church where she served as Sunday school teacher and was active in Ladies Missionary Circle. She served on the board of the Yell County Special Services School, was a volunteer at the Chambers Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, served on the West Yell County Cancer Board, Yell County Retired Teachers Association, Havana EH Club and Yell County Cattlemen's Association. She was interested in children and the community. She was a wife, mother, teacher, volunteer and a woman years ahead of her time.

Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Robert G. Dickson; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert L. and Elisa Dickson of Harrison, Arkansas; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Stan McFerran of Imperial, Missouri; grandchildren, Karen McFerran of St. Louis, Missouri; Tiffany Dickson of New York, New York; Stephen McFerran of Imperial, Missouri; Michael McFerran of Alton, Illinois; great-grandchildren, Kathryn McFerran; Jacob McFerran; Elizabeth Pruitt; sister-in-law Janette Gwazda of Chicago, Illinois; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2015 at the Havana Methodist Church with Rev. Howard Wheeler and Rev. John McCourt officiating. Burial was at Havana Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday June 14, at Cornwell Funeral Home. Pallbearers included Bob Rogers, Charlie Bennett, David Lasiter, Johnny Foster Jr., Tommy Fink, Charles Yandell, Whick Stapleton, and Charles Webster.
