    Barbara Ann Allred, age 52 of Dardanelle, died April 29, 2010 at her home. She was born March 5, 1958 in Danville, AR to the late Troy James and Shirley Ann Lusk Keener.

    She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

    Black, Tilford Ananias

    Tilford Ananias Black, 76, died in the home of his daughter in Ola on April 15, 1960 after a long illness. He was a native of Yell County, a retired farmer and a member of the Bluffton Baptist Church.

    Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Etna Jackson Black; two sons, Thurman Black of Litchfield Park, Ariz. And Arvel Black of Ola; four daughters, Mrs. Viola Garner of Gravelly, Mrs. Ellen James of State Sanatorium, Mrs. Lena Morris of Farwell, Tex. and Mrs. Mamie Barclay of Ola; 28 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.     Briley, Alfred Murl

    Alfred Murl Briley, age 77 of Ola, AR died May 18, 2010 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. He was born May 24, 1932 to Roy Lee and Mary Ella Briley in Jacksonville, AR. He was a Baptist and a member of Temple Baptist Church in Little Rock, AR. He served in the Army for 2 years as Military Police, 21 years in the Little Rock Police Department, 19 years as a Parole Officer for the Department of Corrections; he taught school for over 11 years in the public school system for Danville, Plainview; and Ola.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Lee and Mary Etta Briley; brothers, James and Bill Briley; great-grandson Alex Rose.

    He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 56 years, Juanita Green Briley; daughters Jan Herr Hank) of Ola, Sherry Delling of Russellville, Pam Smith (Steve) of Plainview, Vickie Buckman Ernie) of Russellville, Sonya Riddle (Rick) of Dardanelle; son, Mike Briley (Pat) of Plainview; brothers, Robert Briley (Alice Ann) of North Little Rock, Donald Briley (Ruby) of Cabot; sisters, Mary Alice (Grover) House of Conway, Janet Mitchner (Bill) of Russellville; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

    Broadstock, Pheobe Elizabeth

    Mrs. Pheobe Elizabeth Broadstock, age 82, died at the home of her son, Jake Broadstock Friday, May 6, 1960. She was a native of Dayton, Ohio and had lived in Yell County for 52 years. She was a Methodist.

    Survivors other than her son, are four sisters, Mrs. Olive Oneal and Mrs. Nellie Phillips of Richmond, Ind.     Chivers, Minor Young, Jr.

    Minor Young Chivers, Jr., age 91 of Dardanelle, died Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. He was born October 27, 1918 at Russellville to the late Minor Y. Chivers, Sr., and Scottie Williamson. He was a member of the Bright Star Lodge #213, Dardanelle VFW Boyce Woods Post #3140, Dardanelle American Legion and was a 32nd Degree Mason.

    Survivors include his daughter, Judy Stewart and husband Dick of Wisconsin; sons, Charles Chivers of Dardanelle, Bill Chivers and wife Kathy of Pottsville; four stepchildren, Judy Kimbrell and husband Mike of AZ, Lydia Campbell and husband Randy of Glencoe, AR, Genei Stratton of Dardanelle, Charles Mosier and wife Virginia of Idaho; numerous grandchildren, step grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

    Claggett, Verlon Irene

    Verlon Irene Claggett, age 82, of Wichita, KS, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2010. The memorial service was Monday, May 24, at Grace Presbyterian Church. Verlon worked as an LPN at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa and was retired secretary for Claggett Limb and Brace Co.

    She was preceded in death by husband, Clifford Delmer Claggett.

    Survivors sons, Clifford M. Claggett of Oakton, VA and Sherman H. Claggett of Henderson, NV; daughters, Kay Davis of Tulsa, OK and Michelle Botkin of Wichita; sisters, Johnnie Morton and Faye Derrick, both of Danville, AR and Ima Jean Putman of Havana, AR; grandchildren, Cara Sanfacon, Christie Newman, Craig Claggett, Olivia Khoury and Beau Bonner; great grandchildren, Ashley, Caitlyn, C.     Brett Conley Copper died January 27, 2010 at his home in Carmichael, CA. He was born December 29, 1958 to the late Edward and Merle Conley Cooper.

    He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry E. Cooper.

    Harold Ray Dacus, age 54 of Dardanelle died Thursday, May 13, 2010 at his home. He was born February 21, 1956 at Covina, California to Donald Madison and Lydia Pauline Dacus.

    Survivors include his wife, Regina Gale Dacus of Dardanelle; mother, Lydia Pauline Dacus of Russellville and a daughter and a son-in-law, Lisa Marie Dacus & Stephen Dexter Holt of Dover; three brothers, Donald Dacus of Russellville, Richard & Phyllis Dacus of Conway, Wallace Dacus of Russellville; one sister, Paula & Sam Hardin of St. Louis, MO; granddaughters, Lillian Gail, Mary Elizabeth & Chasity Star Holt; six aunts; three nephews; one niece and a host of family and friends.

    Charles Davis, age 82, of Havana, died Friday, May 21, 2010 at Chambers Memorial Hospital. He was born December 18, 1927, at Waveland, AR to the late Vernon "Bun" and Ruby Lena Burrows Davis. He was a propane gas and butane company manager.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Raymond "Frog" Davis, a sister-in-law, Esther Davis, and a brother-in-law, Shirley Shott.

    Debra Lynn Elms, age 47 of Coal Hill, died Friday, May 7, 2010 at Johnson County Regional Medical Center. She was born June 20, 1962 at Eloy, AZ to James and Alice O'Brian O'Dell. She was a member of the Hartman Volunteer Fire Department.

    She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James O'Dell and David Hughes; one uncle, Jimmy O'Brian.

    Gregory Lynn Gaston, age 50 of Bluffton, died April 19, 2010 at his home. He was born November 15, 1959 in St. Johns, AZ to the late Mack and Monette Ferguson Gaston.

    Grace, Frank

    Frank Grace; Longtime County Board Member Dies Taught School at Havana and Dardanelle. Frank Grace, age 91, was involved as a member of several Yell County boards for over 40 years beginning in the late 1950's. He died on May 9, 2010, at Saint Mary's Hospital. Although he lived at Dardanelle, he actually began his Yell County career as an agriculture teacher at Havana High School after he graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1947. He and his wife, Beatrice, both taught school at Havana for four years. Grace also taught agriculture at Dardanelle High School from 1967- 1969. He served as a Yell County Justice of the Peace, and was a longtime member of the Soil Conservation Board and several other boards including the Equalization Board, Yell County Fair Board, and the New Hope Cemetery Board. Grace was instrumental in the development of the Northeast Yell County Water Association. He was also a Veterans Agriculture Teacher.

    Grace, Frank

    Frank Grace, age 91 of Dardanelle died Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Saint Mary's Hospital. Frank was born October 7, 1918 in Dardanelle, AR to the late Christopher Columbus Grace and Cleo Effie Moore. Frank was the fifth child in a family of 14 children.

    Frank grew up on his parents farm southwest of Dardanelle, AR and graduated from Dardanelle High School in 1936. He entered Arkansas Tech in 1937 after a cousin, Alf Satterfield, offered him a student job in the dining hall at Tech. He completed a two year agriculture program and enrolled in the University of AR at Fayetteville. The army interrupted his schooling, and he went into the service in 1940 with the 668 Engineers. Frank served his country honorably in France, Belgium, Germany and Czechoslovakia. Frank re-entered the University of AR in 1946 and graduated with the class of 1947. He accepted a position as agriculture teacher at Havana High School. He then married the late Beatrice Penrose Grace, whom he met while student teaching in Mansfield. Both taught at Havana for four years and then took graduate work at Colorado A&M and the University of California, Davis. They moved to San Jose, California in 1951. Frank taught Veterans Agriculture and High School Agriculture in the Campbell High School, Campbell, California. Frank and Bea returned to Arkansas in 1958, they bought the family farm, built a home and started in the cattle business. Frank taught agriculture at Dardanelle High School from 1967-1969.

    Frank was extremely involved in the community as he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher at New Hope Baptist Church for years. His civic involvement included Justice of the Peace, Veterans Agriculture Teacher, the development of the Northeast Yell County Water Association, Soil Conservation Board, Equalization Board, Yell County Fair Board, and the New Hope Cemetery Board.

    Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Beatrice Penrose Grace of Dardanelle, AR; two sisters, Elizabeth Grace Fink of Dardanelle, AR, and Mary Grace Roggencamp of Chicago, IL; six brothers including Tom Grace of Russellville, AR, Jack Grace of Ft. Smith, AR, Glen Grace of Russellville, AR, John Grace of Harrison, AR, and Charlie Grace of Dardanelle, AR.

    Survivors include three sisters, Inez Grace Overcash of Houston, TX, Anna Lee Grace Richardson of Terrell, TX, and Sarah Grace Whitford of Centerville, AR. He is also survived by two brothers, William G. Grace of Russellville, AR, and Lloyd Ellis Grace of Van Buren, AR; and a host of nieces and nephews.

    Funeral was at New Hope Baptist Church Tuesday, May, 11, 2010, with Rev. Paul Farnam and Dr. Glen Nicholson officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Cornwell Funeral Home of Dardanelle, AR. Pallbearers were Larry Grace, Carl Overcash, Mike Grace, Greg Grace, Ryan Grace, Spencer Grace, Sawyer Grace and Christopher Grace.     Holmes, Violet Juanelle

    Thank You Friends Violet Juanelle Holmes left us to be with our Lord and her loved ones Wednesday, April 21, 2010. Her suffering is over. The family would like to thank the Ola Nursing Center and employees for their care these past years. She called it home and her caregivers her family. All of you helped her to feel loved, happy and content. We would like to thank Dr. Philip Tippin and the Chambers Memorial Hospital Staff. She was given exceptional care each stay.     Hudson, Edith Lola

    Edith Lola Hudson, 86, of Danville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. The oldest child of Chester & Lizzie Emberson Williams, she was born September 1, 1923 in Waltreak, Arkansas. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. She graduated from Danville High School in 1943. After she married and became a mother to four children, she pursued her childhood dream to become a nurse. She completed Petit Jean Vo-Tech in 1967 as LPN. She worked at Chambers Hospital for the next 18 years and then as a private duty nurse for the next 10 years. After retirement she volunteered for hospice and at Chambers Memorial Hospital. She loved being outdoors gardening, fishing and cooking for others. She enjoyed spending time visiting and talking with her friends & family, especially her grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Kip Williams & Bill Williams; grandson, Gregory Hunt; great-children, Cayden Hudson, Faith & Hope Crane.

    She is survived by her children; Judy Tindall and husband, Charlie of Danville; C. L. Hudson and wife, Peggy of Bluffton, AR; Ricky Hudson and wife, Gayla of Waldron, AR; and Phyllis Bewley and husband, Terry of Danville and grandchildren Robbin Harper, Angela Murphy, Michael Hunt, Cody Hudson, Jarrod Hudson, Mandy Bingham, Kristy Black, Nichole Crane and Misty Bewley; 23 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Linda Williams, Rube & Reba Sue Williams; sisters and brother-in-law, Maxine Johnston, Ina Gibbs, Darlene and Rod Owens.

    Oscar Howard Johnson, 76, of Oswalt, Okla. died on April 15, 1960. He was a native of Mississippi and had lived in Oswalt for many years. He was married to Miss Susie Roach in May, 1913 at Havana, who preceded him in death.

    Ernest Lewis King, age 58, of Dardanelle, died Friday, April 30, 2010. He was born April 22, 1952, in Danville to Ernest Glen and Hazel Diana West King. He was the owner of Lewis King Construction in Dardanelle.

    Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Linda Ingram King; children and spouses, Shane and Suzanne King of Wichita, KS, Carla and Dusten Trent of Dover, and Ben and Charity King of Delaware; brothers and sisters-in-law, Glen and Sue King, Charles and Jerri King all of Centerville; grandsons, Allen, Justin, Samuel, and Daniel King, and Jacob Trent.

    Brian Lee McCubbin, age 35 of Dardanelle, died Sunday, May 23, 2010 at UAMS. He was born July 19, 1974 at Odessa, TX to Ray and Linda Barnett McCubbin.

    He is preceded in death by his father, Ray McCubbin.

    Patton, Michael Garner "Mike"

    Michael Garner "Mike" Patton, age 36, of Belleville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 13. He was born February 4, 1974 in Russellville. He was a 1992 graduate of Danville High School, a member of the Danville Quarterback Club, Upper Spring Creek Free Will Baptist Church, and the National Rifle Association. He was a Yell County Deputy Sheriff and the Sign Coordinator for the Yell County Road Department.

    He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herman and Melba Patton, Jewel and Jack Brock, Ralph Hall and Otha Hill.

    He is survived by his wife, Juanita Hill Patton, daughters, Maddie and Laken Patton of the home; parents, Harlon and Phyllis Garner Patton of Belleville; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jewel and Harold Hill of Belleville; grandmother-in-law, Marie Hill of Danville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gail and Gary Boren of Belleville; aunts and uncles, Patricia and Bill Loyd of Belleville, Lana and Clif McMickle of Pine Bluff; niece and nephew, Chelsey and Josh Boren of Belleville; and a large, extended, loving family and friends.

    Gene "Putt" Putman, 57, of Russellville, died Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Little Rock. He was born June 19, 1952, in Danville to Hoyt and Georgia Vestal Putman. He spent his life in the trucking industry, and was a member and trustee of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3928.

    He was preceded in death by his father; son, Doug Putman; and sister, Kathy Mitchell.

    Stephen Lynn Rosander, Jr., age 24 of Dardanelle, died Thursday, May 20, 2010. He was born September 16, 1985 at Modesto, CA to Stephen Lynn Rosander, Sr. and the late Ester Rosander.

    Survivors include his wife, Kayla Sellen Rosander of Dardanelle; father, Stephen Lynn Rosander, Sr. of Modesto, CA; stepson, Cameron Blankenship of Dardanelle; aunt, Melissa Qualls of Dardanelle; mother-in-law, Carol Sellen of Dardanelle; two brothers, James and Keith Rosander and a sister, Lisa Rosander all of Modesto, CA.

    Rowland, Penny Jo

    Penny Jo Rowland, 36, of Dardanelle, died Thursday, May 6, 2010, at her home in Dardanelle. She was born October 10, 1973 to the late Charles Richard Rowland and Annie Marie Brock Hoffman.

    She is preceded in death by her father and a brother, Dan Rowland.

    Survivors include her mother, Annie Marie Brock Hoffman of Dardanelle; husband, Donnie Edwards of Dardanelle; three children, Brian and Britteny Haston both of Dardanelle and McKinley Allen of Pottsville; one brother, Darrell Rowland and wife Mary of Colorado Springs, CO; two sisters, Nancy Daily and husband Mel of Markham, TX and Linda Roberts and husband Danny of Wilkesboro, NC; one sister-in-law, Kelly Rowland of Dardanelle; and many other relatives.

    Services were held Tuesday, May 11 at Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jared Higginbotham officiating. Burial was in Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle.     Ryan, George C.

    George C. Ryan, age 66, of Blue Mountain died in a Little Rock Hospital May 7, 1960. He was a retired poultry inspector, a member of the Belleville Masonic Lodge, Magazine American Legion Post and a member of state and national poultry clubs.

    Sandlin, Mack Duke

    Mack Duke Sandlin died in the Yell County Hospital April 30, 1960 at the age of 92. He was the son of the late J. J. Sandlin and Esther Jane Harper. He was born at Hartsell, Ala. and came to Yell County at an early age. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church and belonged to the Petit Jean Masonic Lodge for 71 years. He was a retired farmer.

    Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Paul Gateley of Ola Rt. I; one son James R. Sandlin of Ola Rt. 1; two sisters, Mrs. J. E. Parton of Duncan, Okla. and Mrs. J. W.     Sherman, Elnora Moudy

    Elnora Moudy Sherman passed away peacefully on March 28, 2010 at Camelot of Broussard Nursing Home in Broussard, LA. A native of Belleville, AR, she was born May 19, 1931 and was a longtime resident of Sherwood, AR. She moved to Broussard, LA in June of 2005. Elnora was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who truly enjoyed life. She was a breast cancer survivor and supporter. After Elnora's retirement as secretary of Sherman Construction, she was involved in numerous senior citizen activities. She loved the simple things in life and would always welcome the opportunity to go out for coffee and pie. Elnora kept up with all the local and world events by watching television news and reading newspapers. She enjoyed writing letters to relatives and friends.

    She is survived by her son, Kevin Sherman of Jacksonville, AR; daughters, Marlene Sherman of Little Rock, AR and Janet Sherman Broussard Roy (Don) of Broussard, LA; grandchildren, Justin, Lauren and Kynley Roy of Broussard, LA; brothers, Opal Lee Moudy (Pauline) of Jonesboro AR, Dr. Perry, AR; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Sherman; father, Lee Moudy; mother, Jennie Buckman Moudy; and sisters, Anna Belle Moudy and Betty Jane Moudy.

    A memorial service to celebrate Elnora's life will be held on Sunday, May 9, 2010 at 1:00 p. m. at Russell Cemetery in Belleville, AR. The family wishes to thank all who have supported Elnora and her family - for their love, prayers and thoughtfulness -throughout her struggles with Alzheimer's disease and dementia.     Sims, Ruby Reed

    Ruby Reed Sims, age 82 a resident of Ola died Sunday evening in the Yell County Hospital in Danville. She was born in Yell County and was housewife. She was a member of the Ola Church of Christ.

    Survivors include her husband Scott Sims of Ola; a son, Vennon L. Sims of Pasadena, Texas; 2 grandsons, Gary Don Sims, David Sims and a granddaughter Tara Sims; 3 brothers, Alex Reed, Brea, Calif., Dave Reed of Riverside, Calif., Carl Reed of Poteau, Okla., and a sister, Ethel Reed Hale of London, Ark.

    Funeral will be 2:30 (today) Wednesday, July 16, 1986 in the Ola Church of Christ with Bob Fallen officiating. Active pallbearers: Walter C.     Son, William Franklin, Sr.

    William Franklin Son, Sr., age 83 of Plainview, passed away Monday, May 17, 2010 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born November 19, 1926 in Lepanto, AR to the late William Nathaniel and the late Maudie Marie Cook Son.

    He is preceded in death by his brother, Jerry W. Son. William grew up as the oldest of ten children on his family's farm.

    At the age of fifteen, William enlisted in the Navy. With an honorable discharge from the Navy after the end of World War II, William promptly re-enlisted into the Army where he faithfully served his country for 32 years. William is a veteran of World War II, the Korean War, as well as the Vietnam War. Throughout his career, he was stationed around the globe in various places including Germany, Alaska, the Philippines, Hawaii, Korea, and Vietnam. Upon honorably retiring from the military, William moved his young family to Plainview where he began a 30 year career in logging. Known by all as Sarge, he could often be seen unwinding after a brutal day in the log woods with a cup of coffee in his hand, visiting with good friends. Sarge retired from logging at the tender age of 78 after Alzheimer's began to take it's toll.

    He is survived by his wife, Xuan Thi Truong Son of Plainview. They have four children; William Franklin Son, Jr. of Springdale; Michael David Son and wife Dawn Nicole Perkins Son of Bella Vista; daughters and sons-in-law, Lien Linda Marie and husband Bobby Lynn Smith of Ola; and Carol Maxine and husband Tony Lee Havener of Plainview; grandchildren Thi-Marie Aileen Smith of Danville, Jacob Lynn Smith of Ola, Darren Patrick Gillespie of Plainview, Cheyenne Marie Havener of Plainview, and William Paxton Son of Springdale; great grandchild Kaiden Parker Smith of Danville; his brothers, James Eugene Son of Manilla, Robert "Bob" Son of Newark, Thomas "Tommy" Son of Concord, Clarence Vernon Son of Apple Valley, CA. Lowry "Larry" Son of Searcy, Donald Son of Concord and Johnny Son of Grand Rapids, MI and sister, Ruby N. Cockrell of Lepanto as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

    Tolzman, LaVern A.

    LaVern A. Tolzman, age 85, of Havana, Ark. died May 11, 2010. He was born December 3, 1924 in Osage, Iowa to Herman and Minnie Berg Tolzman. He worked for the municipal sanitation department in Mason City, Iowa, in a sugar beet processing plant, Armor meat packing plants and worked many years in construction all while managing his own farm. After retiring, he worked for the Corps of Engineers in North Dakota and Waveland, Ark. as a gate attendant. LaVern was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Mason City, Iowa and attended the Moore's Chapel Church in Waveland, Ark. While serving in the Army in World War II he participated in the Battle of the Bulge and the first wave of the Normandy invasion.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; three sons, Albert, Dennis and Jeff Tolzman; one sister, Bernice Smith; and two brothers, Paul and Arthur Bartelt.

    He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Lillian Rose Young Tolzman; two daughters, Diane Neuhring and husband, Robert of Mason City, Iowa and Susan Berry and husband, Thomas of Havana, Ark.; nine grandchildren, Brad Neuhring and (Joan) of Mason City, Iowa, Lori Schmidt and husband, Doug of Nora Springs, Iowa, Christine Berry of Atwater, Calif., Stacey Henderson and husband Harold of Russellville, Ark., Jill Titsworth and husband, Eugene of Van Buren, Ark., Allison Hollis and husband, Danny of Fort Smith, Ark., Brett Bishop of Fort Smith, Ark., John Tolzman of Rock Falls, Iowa, Tawny McElroy and husband, Price of Scottsdale, Ariz.; fifteen great grandchildren, Brandon Schmidt and (Ashley), Jeremy Schmidt and wife, Cassidy, Steven and Austin Schmidt, Zachary and Ashtyn Schmidt, Paige Rahn, Bryeanna Nordin and husband, Khris, Conner Berry, Ryan McKinney, Spencer Bodeker and wife, Kati and Brook Bodeker, Lindsay Bishop, Stone and Blade Tolzman; one great-great-grandchild, Kaiden Schmidt; many nieces and nephews.

    A memorial service will be in Nora Springs, Iowa at a later date with interment at Rock Grove Cemetery in Nora Springs, Iowa.     Weir, Rheba Nora

    Rheba Nora Weir, 87, of London passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2010 in Russellville, AR. She was born October 26, 1922 in the Augsburg community outside of London to Dora Ethel Pless Bauman and Gustaf A. Bauman, both of whom have preceded her in death. During her life, Mrs. Weir was very active in Mt. Carmel Cumberland Presbyterian Church, a founding member of the Pless Community Extension Home-makers Club, a Pope County Cattlewoman, and a member of the Gideon's International Auxiliary.

    Also preceding her in death was James H. Moore, Jr. her first son-in-law married to Linda Paulette Weir.

    Mrs. Weir is survived by her husband of 68 years, Paul Edison Weir, two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Joe Williams of Choctaw, OK, and Anita and Arnie Burk of London; three granddaughters and their husbands, Kim and Nathan Knight of Clarksville, Brittney and Lance Garner of Russellville, and Jamie and Brent Abbott of London; two grandsons and their wives, Michael and Misty Moore, and A. J. and Natalie Burk, both of Russellville; and fifteen great grandchildren, Campbell, Payton, Moriah, Hannah, Caraline, Zach, Haley, Taylor, Carter, Brooks, Harmony, Tori, Brenna, Cate, and Sydney.

    Funeral service was May 17, 2010 at the Mt. Carmel Cumberland Presbyterian Church north of London in the Pless Community. Burial was in Mt.     Wyatt, Michael Scott

    Michael Scott Wyatt, age 51, died of pneumonia on March 22 in San Jose, CA. From the ages of four through 18, he spent happy summers with his grandparents, James and Mildred Watson of Plainview. He loved Fourth of July fireworks, ringing the Salem Church bell, and playing in Porter Creek. Michael was a teacher in Milpitas schools until 2006 when he had a stroke.

    He was predeceased by his father, Oscar, and his younger brother, Matthew.

    He is survived by his mother, Willda Jean (Woodson) Wyatt; his wife, Joyce; son, Robert; daughter, Robin; grandson, Lazelle; sisters, Cecilia and Margaret.
